Toner I’m most thankful for
I'm thankful for this being the first toner I tried out and made me love toning. Thoughts: This wonderful toner I always go back to it in the night time. I feel like it helps me to get the pure cleanse that I need without my skin being stripped. Everytime I use this my skin always looks much more radiant and back to life. I been using this for almost a year and would rotate between using it in the daytime and nightime. During the summer time I used it in my AM routine and I loved how my face would go from oily to soft and supple with the right amount of hydration. During those hot months it always helped maintain my skin clean but with enough nourishment. Now in the winter time, during cold nights, my skin gets the hydration it needs and mainly the healthy glow it craves. Personally this toner is a favorite of mine because it didn’t irritate my skin, break me out and wasn’t harsh on me. I saw instant results when I first applied it and how my skin could look every day (Glowy and alive) I’m glad I decided to try it it out after seeing all the hype about it on instagram. Claims: it’s gentle for all skin types to exfoliate, brighten and smooth skin Targets: Dullness and impurities Texture: It is a orange liquid consistency almost like water with soap. Price: $16 and definitely worth buying when you need something gentle yet effective to help achieve glow and hydrated skin in seconds. Recommendation: Yes, I think anyone would enjoy this. I highly recommend this to anybody with any type of skin if you are not allergic to any of the ingredients, of course. Some ingredients: Aloe to help soothe and hydrate Ginseng to improve circulation and energize 5% of Glycolic acid to exfoliate Cruelty free 🐇 pixi - Glow Tonic

my progress in the span of 3 years
This is my first post pls be gentle I am soff My experience and exposure to skincare was...odd growing up. I came from a poor family and was constantly switching between households. Consistent skincare routines did not exist for me, if we could afford it at all. I also had no idea what was going on with my face or why, just that I was being mocked and berated for it as though it was some sort of lack of hygeine or moral failing on my part. About 3 years ago, I started using a consistent skincare routine with more than just a face wash in the shower. Granted, it was whatever the cheapest face wash I could find at Safeway that week (likely biore or st. ives) and argan oil that I found at Marshall's. I had no idea what ingredients to look for or even what my skin type was. That first pic STILL marked a huge improvement for me and kicked off my desire to learn more to finally rectify this issue that had plagued me for more than a decade. The 2nd pic is from a few months ago. I kinda think I peaked there. I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser in the shower. I have oily, sensitive skin (thanks eczema) and it's very gentle, not irritating in the slightest. However, it feels like all it does is clean my face. No real benefit apart from that. I was using pixi - Glow Tonic as a toner which I loved and gave me great results but rent is literally over half my monthly income and that doesn't touch all the other bills I have and at anywhere from $18-$24 a bottle? Well... I'd rather eat tbh. I also got over the "oily skin don't need moisturize hurr durr" mentality and began to use (still do, this jar has lasted me since like July) AVALON ORGANICS - Intense Defense, With Vitamin C, Oil-Free Moisturizer . Works fine, nice and light, absorbs pretty quickly, and I like the smell. I'd like something that qualifies as a night mask instead tho, just because my entire routine is done exclusively at night with extra moisturizer or treatments as necessary. 3rd pic is from about a month ago. I've changed up the roster a few times. I'm really feeling FORMULA 10.0.6 - One Deep Attraction Daily Foaming Face Wash as I used it years ago, liked it then for the suds and the actives, but haven't gotten much in the way of results. I might try the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Three Times Sublime 3-in-1 Blackhead Wash + Scrub + Maskand FORMULA 10.0.6 - P.M. Perfectorinstead of the moisturizer I use as mentioned above. I'm also alternating between Cos De BAHA - BHA Salicylic Acid 2% Exfoliant Liquid 4oz with Niacinamide Acne Spot Treatment + Redness Relief + Pore Minimizer + Pore Cleaner and The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% . The serum makes my skin incredibly soft and the suspension helps a bunch with oil control. If y'all have any comments, questions, or suggestions regarding my routine, I'd love to hear what y'all have to say!
How I Built an Entire Routine for Under $150
For a long time I was intimated by skincare because it seemed very expensive and overwhelming. How do I know what to buy 🤷🏻♀️ When I started noticing wrinkles that was enough of a push for me to invest in skincare. Here’s some great lessons I’ve learned to build your skincare routine affordably: 1. Research to figure out what you need- here’s where my love of @cheriestarted! I read lots of reviews, advice, so I knew what type of products I should buy and what ingredients I should focus on. 2. Keep it Simple It’s easy to want to buy new products, adding new steps or ingredients to your routine, or try out the hype after reading reviews! Focus on your concerns and add slowly to give your skin time to adjust and see what’s working. It’s better to have a few great products that you love than many products you don’t use. I started with: Cleanse AM antioxidant serum, PM anti-aging serum Moisturizer Sunscreen Toners, eye cream, facial oil, and masks can be extras if you are looking to save money 3. Spend your money on the middle - if you can only splurge on one product make it the serum! This has the most benefit. Drugstore cleansers, moisturizers, and spf are great! 4. Try some great affordable brands such as The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Versed, or CeraVe 5. Buy trial size first, Value Sets or better free rewards before investing in a new product 6. Once you’ve found your Holy Grails keep your eyes open for sales to stock up, join the brands mailing list or reward program, buy value size Here’s my current skincare line-up and how much it cost me: CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild Use AM & PM Bought on sale for $27 for 13.5oz CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Use PM Free from Clinique rewards pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic Rotate PM Bought multi-pack on sale for $22 OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème Use AM and / or PM Bought on sale $25 The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Use AM $6.80 VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Use AM $26.99 OLAY - Wrinkle Correction Serum with Vitamin B3+ Collagen Peptides Use PM Bought on sale for $32 BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum Use PM 1-2 times per week Free from Sephora Rewards Bazaar CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator Use AM & PM Free gift with purchase from Clinique CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Instant Brightening Moisturizer Use PM when not using lactic acid Free offer with purchase from Sephora The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Use PM $9.90 (Not pictured) currently using my kids Banana Boat Kids Simply Protect SPF 50 as my sunscreen
KEY TO GLOWY SKIN 🤩 🌟✨
the pixi glow tonic is a toner with 5% glycolic acid. glycolic acid works to get rid of the dead skin cells on top of your skin to reveal brighter, glowing skin. WHAT SKIN TYPE IS THIS FOR? the pixi glow tonic is good for all skin types! there’s no alcohol in this toner making it great for people with dry/combination skin since it won’t dry out your skin. for those of you with sensitive skin, like me, i would use it only once a day either at night or in the morning. i personally use it at night so my skin is fresh in the morning. HOW DO I USE IT? depending on your skin type, the pixi glow tonic can be used two times a day, but i wouldn’t do more than two. for those with sensitive skin, once is good. after cleansing, apply the toner all over your face with a cotton round and make sure to put a little bit of pressure to get the outer dead skin cells. after that, apply your favorite moisturizer! ADDITIONAL NOTES <3 for me, the first time i used it my face was a little bit red, but as i used it more and more my skin got used to it. make sure to moisturize and cleanse day and/or night to get the best results! hopefully this was helpful and get your glowy skin asap!! pixi - Glow Tonic
The Ordinary Toner
The product:alpha hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. This 7% toning solution offers mild exfoliation for improved skin radiance, visible clarity and the appearance of skin texture with continued use. My impressions: I love this toner. First you get so much product for an amazing price. It doesn’t dry out my skin which some will do like the Pixi Toner. I use it mostly in the t zone and then extra on the pad will rub the rest of the face. It helps clear out the extra stuff after cleansing. It’s crazy seeing the extra stuff cleaning can miss. It doesn’t break me out, and doesn’t give me that greasy feeling. It helps with my uneven texture especially in my forehead area. How it worked for my dry skin: did not dry out. I started off slowly and used every 3 days to begin with to see how it would react to my skin. Then more regularly and used at nighttime. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen though in the morning time since it does help exfoliate which means your skin is at more risk for a sunburn. Length of use: months Cost: you won’t believe this but $8.70 Recommend: yes. It has an amazing price and works! Repurchase: honestly haven’t needed to because so much product comes with it but definitely will. Overall rating: five out of five for the price, the overall improvement I see. product claims VS my thoughts - PIXI Glow Tonic💚
I got this baby - PIXI Glow Tonic - because my friend highly recommended it when I asked her what toner she was using. I haven't used this brand's products before, so I just searched for it on Sephora and found it quite popular. What it claims is soooooo attractive that I bought it without a second thought! 🧡It claims that it • contain Aloe Vera which can help soothe and hydrate • can gently accelerate cell renewal to reveal a brighter, glowing complexion • can help balance, heal and soothe for radiant, healthier looking skin Did it really help me with these? Yes! It does almost everything it promises! 🧡My experience: ❎Hydration: Actually, I don't think it hydrating enough. It is OK for me on summer days as I have oily skin, but I won't use it in winter. And of course this is NOT for dry/combo skin. ✅Brightening: I did not see any difference at first, but after one month I started to see a glowing effect on my skin. It does not whiten my skin tone but my dull skin looks brighter! ✅Soothing: Some people don't like the scent, but I think it smells great just like rosewater and most importantly, it soothes my skin nicely! Overall, I LOVE this PIXI glow tonic! I tried the 100ml one and now want to get the full-size once I use it up! If you are looking for a toner that can help with brightening and soothing, then you must give it a try!
Coxir Vita C Bright Toner
When it comes to changing my skincare routine I get a little hesitant because the product it either help my skin or irritate it. To begin with, I’m very picky when picking a toner.I want a toner that is going to be good for sensitive skin, even though I don’t considered my skin to be sensitive . It needs to have hydrating ingredients since my skin gets very dehydrated. Also if I get a toner to help with brightening or contains aha/bha I want it to have good ingredients. I tried this coxir_official Vita C Bright toner, this was kindly gifted by xycos_official . I put this to the test the other morning and I noticed a bit of red spots on my cheek. At first I thought it was my serum that caused it but after using it Friday night and seeing that I started to get same red spots on my cheek and a few mini breakouts. It clicked!! because I haven’t changed my serums just the toner. So as much has I wanted to like it I just can’t. It messed up my skin so bad!! My skin was thriving during this quarantine 😭😭😫 I searched up the ingredient list and one one the ingredients is alcohol! There’s some good alcohols in skincare but just pure alcohol!?! Is a no for me!! I hope in the future they stop using alcohol. • Ingredient list: ▫️ Vitamin complex (Vitamin C, A, E) to strengthen skin barrier and restore the elasticity. ▫️ Niacinamide to reduce pigmentation. After using this product I really wanted to get a toner that will help with brightening. A toner that has similar or better ingredients than this Coxir toner. @somebymi expanded their Yuja line and added a toner!! The ingredient list is amazing and they don’t add harmful ingredients.

Pixi Glow Tonic
I’d rather get coal than the Pixi Glow Tonic! I don’t usually have products that just absolutely don’t work out for me but there is this one! And one that the masses love! The product: Glow Tonic that helps deeply clean pores by removing excess oil and impurities. My impressions: so I tried this out and then went to bed and when I woke up I had huge pimples and random bumps everywhere I use the toner, t-zone and chin. The only new product I incorporated into my routine m so I know it was that. Don’t know whether it was just my skin or the other products either way was not pretty. How it worked for my dry skin: it was very hydrating but I can’t really attest to how it was because I used it once and had such a bad effect then I never thought how dry my skin was more was thinking what are these little bumps and how did I get these pimples so fast. Length of use: one use Cost: for a big one $29 Recommend: I know so many love it but I’m not sure why I had such adverse reaction. I don’t have extremely sensitive skin and usually my skin can handle a bit. So can’t recommend just from my reaction to it. Repurchase: nope, I love The Ordinary, and Youth To The People Toner much better! Overall rating:pixi - Glow Tonic just cause I can’t rate lower... have you tried Glow Tonic and what are your thoughts?
My favourite toner ever
GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner As the name suggests, this toner’s function is focused on brightening and pore reducing. It’s formulated with vitamin C and niacinamide as the main ingredients. The texture is very watery and lightweight, absorbed right into the skin upon application. Personally I’m not a big toner user, I used to skip it and only use toner on occasion because I didn’t really see the benefit of toner. Until I was gifted this one by the brand, it’s safe to say that this is a staple product in my routine now. I have been using it for about 2 months now and I’m so pleased with it. This toner is a very easy product to use, doesn’t break me out, and makes the products I’m layering on top absorb better to the skin I feel like. I do notice the brightening effect especially on my cheeks area where I have a bit of leftover acne scarring. I’d totally recommend this product to others as it’s so affordable and effective! It’s a toner that I see everyone loves and raves about. I truly see the benefits of using a toner because of this product. It’s 100% worth the price and effort to use.
