DIY BB Cream: My New Fave Trick for Summer
Note: I am wearing some concealer and strobe stick in the “after” pictures. Okay, so I’ve just learnt this quick and super simple recipe for making your own Tinted Moisturiser! I can’t believe that I’ve never heard of this before, and can’t wait to test it more this summer ☀️ So, I found out that you can create your own tinted moisturiser by mixing some of your favourite face cream with some of your favourite mineral makeup powder! When I moved to Australia, I noticed that my usually dry, fairly sensitive skin was not tolerating foundation during the summer. The high humidity here caused every foundation I owned to break up, powders would bunch to it, and I’d look terrible by midday! Some days, I wished I just hadn’t worn any makeup 😫 I started using the nude by nature - Natural Mineral Cover Foundation SPF 15
hollybeanI've been using nude by nature mineral powder for years now, always my go to and I can't believe I never thought of doing that! haha thanks for the tip! 😊

Acne struggle! Don’t know what to do anymore
Hi! The first picture happened almost out of no where I don’t remember drastically changing anything in my skin care routine. I did dermaplane my skin and I have a theory I might’ve destroyed my moisture barrier and really irritated my skin! What I was originally doing Morning routine COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Night routine COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% (Alternating products below) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA ZO SKIN HEALTH - Retinol Skin Brightener .5% The Ordinary - 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I have since taken out all actives and now I use CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin First picture is my original routine, rest of the photos are about a week after new routine. It’s gotten better but still not very good. I used to have clear skin and would only get small break outs. Nothing to this extreme!
Body Contouring! 🔥👙
Summer body goals got me thinking: Can I fake abs? 🧐🧐 Yes! With a little makeup in the right places, we can definitely define our abdominal muscles to give ourself a more contoured look. Just like how we contour our face to contour our body, to create the illusion of a well-toned abdomen. PREPARATION: All you need is a contouring palette (bronzer and highlighter), some brushes and a setting spray to make sure that your hard work stays in place. HOW TO CONTOUR YOUR ABS: Contouring your abs probably isn’t something you’re likely to do every day, but if you want to show off your stomach in a crop top, contouring can help you temporarily create more defined-looking abs. STEP 1: Start by drawing a line down the center of your stomach, from the top of where your imaginary abs would be down to your belly button. STEP 2: From there, add muscles on either side, creating a two-, four-, or six-pack. STEP 3: Harsh lines are a major no-no when it comes to contouring. Here makeup sponge can come in handy. STEP 4: No contouring look is complete without highlighter. Place a liquid highlight on the highpoints of the areas you just contoured, then blend out. STEP 5: Now you can enjoy showing off your newly contoured body in your summer wardrobe! What I use: FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Glow Skinstick FENTY BEAUTY - Body Lava Body Luminizer REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Body Complexion Sponge Sorry, I'm a big fan of Rihanna lol Still waiting for R9！！！ Tips🔅 ● Look at yourself in the mirror as you are blending the colors in so you can make it look as natural as possible. ● When purchasing mineral powder, shimmering powder and tan pigment, match them with your skin tone and choose darker shades. ● If you apply too much and it does not look good, simply wash your stomach area and start again. ● You can help your work last longer by sealing it with hairspray, setting powder, or a makeup sealant spray. ● Use waterproof powders so that they will not easily wash or sweat off. ● Stand up straight and don't slouch. Slouching forward can make you look as though you have a tummy, which will detract from the contouring effect you are trying to establish. warnings⚠️ ● Do not use too much makeup, as you risk creating lines that are too dark or too light, which in turn will look fake. ● If you are using foundation, tinted moisturizer, or tinted sunscreen as your base, be sure to match your skin tone. Anything that is too dark, too light, or too orange will look fake. ● Do not put on the makeup while wearing your swimsuit. If you get the makeup on your swimsuit, you may not only stain your swimsuit, but you might risk giving your secret away. ● Going swimming with your fake abs will result in all your hard work washing away. ● A hot, sunny day may cause your makeup to melt off. Come on!! the beaches and swimming pools are calling out to you, enjoy the warm sun and sport your new swimsuit NOW!

Brush, sponge and puff, my choice is...
In this comparison I'm gonna put three products to the test and it’s going to be the brush, the puff and the brand new sponge, and we are gonna single out what is the best way to apply foundation. Which tool should you apply to your foundation? There is so much going on right now, and all these brands are coming up with new things so I'm going to just grasp my daily uses: BOBBI BROWN - Full Coverage Face Brush (AUD75), REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Body Complexion Sponge (AUD 6) and a Giorgio Armani puff (AUD21). The foundation I will use is from ESTEE LAUDER’s Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup range of 12 shades in which I select the 1N2 Ecru suiting my skin tone best （AUD60）. This one is a 24-hour long wear foundation and is supposed to be hydrating. Melbourne is in late winter right now so it's definitely suitable for this test at the moment. The Bobbi brown brush （AUD75） As you can see, on its stick, this one is a full coverage face brush and is a dense one for the face with cream products. It’s very light, weighing only 24g on a kitchen scale, even though its gripping part looks like being made of wood. The head of it feels soft, velvety but still like a roly-poly toy, whose ”root” is very rooted in its stick when you are scrabbling on your face. In a normal makeup routine in winter, after a procedure of putting skin care products on my face, I start with the VITAMIN ENRICHED FACE BASE which contains shea butter, vitamin C & E (AUD 88), functioning as the extra moisturizing balm. Once applying the foundation, it helps reduce the appearance of any pores. The right part of the picture shows you how the brush worked. The Real Techniques sponge and the Giorgio Armani puff This sponge is super light, soft and elastic. It shapes like an egg so people call it a beauty egg lol. You can use the tip of the egg to stipple on all areas of your face even though the joint between nose and face. (it’s a tricky place, isn’t it?). However, sometimes the sponge is the baddest stealer for your foundation among these three applicators. By using these two(puff and sponge), in my mind, they are nearly the same for me. However, this time I use a liquid foundation, if the foundation is dry, a sponge which can be also watery before application will still make your coverage sheer and long-lasting. Who wins ? ! These tools are all portable and you can just nip anyone in your handbag, but with a very small purse if you wanna carry one applicator out, a sponge or a puff would be your better choice. They can be squeezed into any kind of shape even jam-packed to the pocket of your jeans lol. However, there are no delicate girls who do not bring a handbag, right? A 5.6’’L brush? No Problem! What’s more, comparing to a puff or a sponge, It is not only blendable but also seamlessly gives you an ultra HD face . Thousands of “hairs” of the brush head seem to respectively carry each foundation molecule into your pore, so as to build up a flawless coverage. Therefore, I love to use it if ever I’m going out with someone “serious” who I can’t fool with, or to show up at an important dinner table, or I’m doing a photo shoot because it’s really photo-friendly.

Big Difference To Apply Lipstick With A Lip brush Or Without !
Most of the girls like to apply lipstick directly, but some girls use a lip brush to apply lipstick. Personally, I’m a lip brush girl. Sephora has a fantastic portable, lip brush for just $8SEPHORA COLLECTION - Makeup Match Lip Brush. It is inexpensive and does the job. You can see the difference between applying lip brush and without in the picture. When applying lipstick with the brush, I start by working at the center of the lips and work out to the edges. I define my lip line first and then fill inward. If you accidentally use too much lipstick, you can clean up the edges with a concealer or blot any excess away.I love this brush for all types of lipstick or liquid lip applications. When I apply my lipstick/gloss and this is always in my bag whenever I'm on the go, whether work, travel, or elsewhere...I used it with my NARs lipstick and it was perfection. NO REGRET AT ALL! You can feel it’s good quality when using it, the brush is soft, smooth and is really easy to clean. It even comes with a cap which is super nice so you can bring it with you for touch ups. 100% would recommend!!!

What a life-changing moment when I use a brush! See Tutorial👇👇👇
Often, I’d dot concealer where I need it, then use my fingers to spread it out and blend and pat it into place. For the most part, it’s worked well for me. But recently, I saw a brush being used, and that piqued my interest. So I gave it a shot. OMG! What a life-changing moment! Here is the tutorial about how to apply and blend it the right way with a brush. Firstly, I dot my concealer where I need it – usually on my under-eye area and any blemishes. I then use a round, fluffy eye brush, and gently blend the concealer, in a circular motion. If the concealer comes in a pot, I dip the tip of the brush into the pot to pick up product, and then blend into my skin in small circles. Then, a natural, diffused effect has been made! I really agreed that the perfect way to blend concealer is do that with a brush! The way you put on your concealer is just as important as the concealer itself. You can have the best concealer and foundation in the world, but if you apply it incorrectly, it does more harm than good.
Aha! Powerful boob contouring tutorial is here!!
I tried my own boob contouring earlier this year, and, while this isn't news, contouring your chest is a legit thing. It took me from a solid A-/B+ to a legit-looking C-cup. 1. Create shadows with contour. Boucher outlined her breasts, and drew "V"s at the base and sides of your neck, two stripes outlining her collarbones, and a vertical line along the sides of your armpits using a foundation stick (Maybelline New York Fit Me Foundation Stick in "Cappuccino") it's better be a few shades darker than your natural skin tone. 2. Highlight with a lighter contour cream. Using a contrasting light shade (the lightest shade in the Australis Cream Contouring Kit) to highlight within the contouring. 3. Blend. Using the brush you used to apply the lighter shade, blend that into your skin seamlessly, and then take a clean brush and blend in the darker shade flawlessly. 4. Blend some more with a makeup sponge. That way there aren't any obvious lines. 5. Set the contour and highlighter with pressed powder and a huge fluffy brush. 6. With a darker powder, retrace where you originally contoured. I like to use the middle shade (a deep taupe) in the Australis Contour Kit to outline in between your breasts, the tops of breasts, the sides of collarbones, and outer armpits. 7. Blend even more. Then took a huge fluffy brush and blended the deeper powder in a bit more. 8. Top your original highlighter with a shimmery pressed powder. Swiped it over Urban Decay Naked Illuminator in "Aura" to set and amp up the highlighter. My secret weapon: URBAN DECAY - Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body If you want to add a little shimmer to a matte eye-shadow, or a nice sheen to your brow bone, then this is the multi-functional product that will do it! This illuminator really gives your skin the most amazing warm glow, but while some may find it a little too sparkly, personally, I absolutely loved it. I welcome the glitter 🙂 Just remember, when it comes to powder illuminators such as this one, always lightly tap the brush before dusting the powder onto the skin. This will prevent you from using too much. I also recommend that you use a fan brush to apply it, this gives a precise appliation! Naked Illuminated looks amazing on both tanned and bare skin, and you only need a slight dusting of it to create a fab affect. 9. Top the highlighter with even more shimmer powder. This will make features like the tops of your breasts, your shoulders, and your collarbones pop.

Brushes I can’t live without! 😍💛
I struggled finding brushes that would apply my makeup well, and went through a few different brands before I found my Goldilocks. 🙌🏽 Because I don’t use makeup everyday, I figured it wouldn’t make sense to spend too much $$ on tools, but I still wanted to find quality items I would enjoy. 💫 After many years of searching I finally found some brushes that work amazing! The ecoTOOLS - 360* Ultimate Blend Kit is a great line of brushes that apply foundation, concealor, and other liquid products almost flawlessly 😻 They are soft, dense, and doesn’t leave any streaks on base. I highly recommend these babies if you are searching for new brushes on a budget. 🤑 Because I have only used them with liquid products, I can’t speak on the quality for powdered items. I would love to know your thoughts if you have used them with either kind 🤩 What’s your favorite makeup brushes? #CheriePartner
