Get rid of dry patches instantly -Peeling gels
Do you get large or small dry flakey patches because of either colder weather or retinoids or acne treatments? I do get these dry flakey patches all the time with my retinoid use and sometimes when the air gets dry around me. But that isn't the main concern for me, these dry patches come in my way of getting a good flawless foundation routine. When I have an event or meeting to attend and if I have these dry patches it's hard for me to moisturize them and keep them moisturized and look good under my makeup. There was only one solution to such dry fkakey skin, that is Exfoliation!! I figured the quick exfoliating masks and solutions (chemical exfoliation) work but they did not get rid of those dry patches completely. So I tried these peeling gels before my morning shower and vola!! They instantly removed my dry patches and made my skin super soft and smooth for a flawless makeup application!! 😍❤️ I love using these both, @wishful Yo Glow enzyme scrub HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub

Saturday Skin Favs
Love all the three products from Saturday skin. It’s great that the product is instagrammable, but Saturday skin is more than just a pretty face... it works great and delivers the result it promises. WIDE AWAKE BRIGHTENING EYE CREAM As far as eye creams go, this is one of the best I’ve used. The texture is more of a dense souffle-like gel than a cream. It hydrates and strengthens the delicate skin around the eyes, helping to reduce puffiness and dark circles. RUB-A-DUB REFINING PEEL GEL This is an exfoliator with a difference… Simply massage the gel into your face as you rub, the formula picks up the impurities and dead skin that clogs pores, causing it to visibly peel off in tiny balls. The result is super-smooth, exfoliated skin, but without the sting that acids and scrubs have. PORE CLARIFYING TONER This toner helps to address the look of skin tone and texture. It has witch hazel, tea tree oil, and red clover. The blend helps create the appearance of a smooth, pore-less complexion.
Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. Exfoliant for baby smooth skin 🧖🏽♀️
HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub One of my all time favorite exfoliant scrubs that actually works! 🍍 This products main ingredients are AHA’s, BHA’s, Papaya fruit extract & Pineapple fruit extract, which all work to remove dead skin cells, reduce the look of dark spots and improve skins texture and complexion while giving you a healthy glow. 🍍I use this product 2x a week at maximum because i do have sensitive skin, however this product is safe to use everyday as you gradually increase your tolerance with it. 🍍The downside of this product is that it does have less than 1% fragrance which can irritate the skin, I have not experienced any irritation using this product and have used it a handful of times, but everyone’s skin is different so make sure you do a patch test! 🍍Standard size of 3.38 oz/100mL goes for $39.00 they also offer a mini size of 1.35 oz/40 mL for $21 if you’re thinking of trying it! 🍍let me know if this product worked for you below👇 or if you have any thoughts 💭 questions & concerns 💕 PSA: i will be doing a giveaway at 500 followers so stay tuned thank you for all the love & support 💕🍒 #cheriecreator
My exfoliator series!!
I loveeeee to exfoliate and address one of my biggest skin concerns, texture. I’m just starting my skin care journey and these three were my first pick ups. Turmeric and apple cider vinegar are some of my favorite ingredients in cooking and also hair care. Turmeric is a great anti inflammatory and antioxidant and is known as a brightened of the skin as well. Apple cider vinegar has been known to treat blood pressure and also scalp conditions so I thought it would be a great gentle exfoliate for my face. Let’s start with the turmeric exfoliating mask. This mixed physical exfoliation with chemical. It has rosehip seeds and quartz which you can physically work in after leaving the mask on for awhile. The Bha comes from aspen bark and papaya. My skin does feel slightly softer after using this but not enough to pay 48 again. The brightening effect is minute as well. Now the Apple cider vinegar pads come in a box for 72(ridiculous) and a smaller sample box for 12. Thank god I got the sample because this did nothing for me. Maybe the acid is too gentle but I was extremely disappointed. Guess I will continue to ingest it via the gummies to get the benefits Finally, we have wishful yo glow which I will repurchase. It uses aha and bhas only and really smooths out my skin. It is reasonably priced at 39 and is available as a mini for 21. My downside is that it is heavily fragranced and it took time for me to cope with that. The product balls up and it isn’t dead skin alone but I believe the cellulose in the product clings to dead skin cells which I clearly see as the product which is white will turn grayish brown as I work it into my skin. Did I rant or what lol, I will continue my hunt for the perfect exfoliators for my collection and update u guys as I try them
ALL ABOUT Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA)
When on your skincare journey you will come across Alpha Hydroxy (AHA) acids. These acids if used right in your skincare routine you will see great benefits from them in your skin. Here we are going to talk about What AHA’s are, The benefits of AHA’s and how to use them. 🎀ITS IMPORTANT TO ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW A PRODUCTS WORKS OR DOESN’T WORK FOR ONE MAY OR NOT WORK FOR ANOTHER. SKIN IS UNIQUE 🎀 🌼What Is Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA’s)🌼 AHA’s are acids from plant( fruits) and animals (milk) used in skincare products. There are different types of AHA’s here are a few : Glycolic Acid comes from sugar cane 🎀my fav🎀 Lactic Acid comes from lactose Citric Acid comes from citrus fruit ( oranges, lemon etc) 🎀my fav 🎀 Hydroxycaproic Acid comes from royal jelly ( honey bee secretions) 🌸Before using AHA’s it’s important to know your skin type and what skin concerns you’re targeting🌸 🌺The Benefits Of AHA’s 🌺 AHA’s are exfoliators. They remove dead skin and help skin cell turn over. AHA’s also help with collagen production and dark spots. AHA’s reduces breakouts, smooths fine lines and wrinkles, brightens complexion and helps product absorb better. 🌹How To Use AHA’s🌹 AHA’s are in face wash, serums, toners, mask etc. I suggest slowly introducing AHA’s into your routine. 1 product like a face wash or serum. See how your skin reacts and adjust accordingly. Too much use of acid in skin routine isn’t good because you can over exfoliate the skin which can lead to irritation and breakouts. Also when using AHA’s it’s important to always moisturize. 🌻I ALWAYS RECOMMEND DOING YOUR OWN RESEARCH 🌻 MY FAVORITE AHA PRODUCTS Nolaskinsentials - Glycolic Foam Cleanser DERMA•E - Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel Any questions about AHA’s comment below and good luck with your skincare journey ❤️ #cheriecreator

I DON’T BEAT AROUND THE BUSH
First things first, FOLLOW ME! xxxx Although it sounds harsher than mechanical exfoliation, chemical exfoliation is actually gentler on the skin because it doesn't involve scrubbing. Exfoliating helps with acne lesions and cleanses pores, and acids like salicylic, lactic and glycolic fight oil and remove pore-clogging dead skin cells. Acid exfoliators can also have long-term benefits for skin. Unlike physical exfoliants, over time, they smooth, brighten and even out skin tone because they also stimulate collagen production, firm up your skin and reduce wrinkles. Limiting chemical exfoliation to no more than twice per week is crucial, as over-exfoliation causes irritation, inflammation like acne, makes you more susceptible to sunburn and you can lose moisture and disrupt the natural skin barrier. All this being said, I don’t completely dismiss scrubs. I have a couple of scrubs that contain glycolic acid that I absolutely love - stay tuned! MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW ME FOR MORE & that’s it sis!
neutrogena deep clean gentle scrub
key ingredients: citric acid - citric acid is effective for sloughing off dead skin cells and speeding new cell turnover. this ingredient can promote new skin growth that can alleviate the appearance of acne scars, minor wrinkles, uneven skin tone/texture, hyperpigmentation, and age spots. salicylic acid - salicylic acid is proven to be an effective skin care ingredient because of the way it penetrates into the skin and dissolves any debris inside your pores. it’s also naturally derived from willow bark which is known to heal and soothe. this acid can also help with any inflammation and redness of a blemish. what it claims to do: neutrogena’s deep clean gentle scrub claims to gently exfoliate the skin with microbeads. the beta hydroxy helps to clean deep into the pores for soft and smooth skin. neutrogena’s description of this product claims that, “Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub is the daily cleansing scrub with beta hydroxy proven to clean deep down into your pores, yet is gentle enough to use every day. Skin looks and feels soft and smooth after just one use.” my experience: this product was pretty effective for exfoliating and removing the dead skin cells off of my face since it is formulated with a beta hydroxy acid formula (bha - which is the salicylic acid). i used this scrub everyday for about 2 weeks straight until i noticed that it started leaving a tight feeling on my face after usage (although this is labeled as a “gentle scrub”). i found this to be a bit too harsh for everyday use on my skin, but that might just be because i have sensitive skin). instead of using this everyday, i limited my usage of this product to about 2-3 days every week. after using this algorithm, my skin felt smooth and soft after without the tight feeling that i was experiencing before. i also noticed that this helped remove and reduce the appearance of some of my blackheads. Let me just say and then pray that I don’t jinx myself that I’ve never had horribly acne prone skin. My mother never taught me about makeup and skincare but growing up I knew enough to know that I had to at least wash my face. Sadly that’s all I was doing besides moisturizing up until about a year ago and I deeply regret it. Things have changed for me and now I’m all about that skincare and I’ve even gotten my husband addicted and he loves it! Late July I started a new job that puts me in an a non climate controlled environment. I live in North Texas so needless to say, all that heat, sweat and dirt played horrible havoc on my face and I suddenly found myself with new fresh beautiful breakouts. What a joy! So I decided to give telegram DermaE acne cleansing wash, blemish control serum and balancing cream a go and well..... BAM! Goodbye breakouts. My skin was literally cleared in less than two days and I was ecstatic to say the least. I’m a huge fan of DermaE but there is something that I do t like about this line but not enough so to not use it. I know many are a fan of the scent but the smell of tea tree oil is a huge no for me. It sets off major headaches for me, regardless of that. This is a fantastic line that I will continue to use!DERMA•E - Acne Deep Pore Cleansing Wash DERMA•E - Acne Blemish Control Treatment Serum DERMA•E - Acne Blemish Control Treatment Serum

💓Exfoliation, I can't recommend you enough this combo! 💓
Exfoliating is the process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of your skin using a chemical, granular substance, or exfoliation tool. Regular exfoliation can also help prevent clogged pores, resulting in fewer breakouts. Long-term exfoliating can increase collagen production. So, if you want to have the glowing, vibrant skin, get started! 🌟🌟 The first thing is to find the right product for yourself,I've never bought any other brands since I started using Aesop's exfoliating series!👇🏻👇🏻 Aesop - Tea Tree Leaf Facial Exfoliant Its ingredients include grated tea tree powder, crushed nut shell, aloe vera, and purified clay. This exfoliant must be used with Aesop's Fabulous Face Cleanser! 💙How to use it: Pour the cleanser on your palm, sprinkle with powder, add a few drops of water, and mix well. You'll feel like you're blending mud if you use too much powder. After washing it off, you'll feel like you've just applied a deep cleansing mask, with milia and blackheads flattened. It leaves your skin refreshed but very dry. Those with oily and combination-oily, sensitive skin can also use this product. Just try avoiding the cheeks. Aesop - Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste This product contains very small exfoliating grains. The main ingredients are fine quartz particles, rosemary leaves, and lactic acid. It's suitable for normal, dry, and sensitive skin. 💙How to use it: After cleansing, just gently rub it all over your face, gently massaging it over your cheeks. It is moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling so soft and tender, squeaky clean and comfortable. I also have sensitive skin, so when my skin is sensitive and unstable, I need this product to help get rid of the excess oil in my T-zone. What's your fav exfoliating products and Are you a fan of Aesop? Share with me!💖💖

my newest skincare purchases!
throughout the past few weeks my acne has flared up so because of that I decided to try a couple new products. first- The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I have only been using this product for about a week and already am in love. For those of you who don’t know, niacinamide is an ingredient that brightens the skin and help balance oil production. I have definitely seen less oil on my face throughout the day and when using this product, it’s not like many other products I have tried for pores that immediately dry out my skin, this as well hydrates the skin. I would recommend this to anyone with oily to combo skin but I have seen it has been out of stock everywhere so as an alternative I would try the inkey list niacinamide serum. second- CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel I had originally tried a sample size of this months ago and loved it. It immediately helped bring out the white head in my pores and I had been waiting for the mini size to come in stock to order it. My product finally came in the mail today and staring at it I am not sure the tiny .5 fl oz bottle was worth 18 dollars. Yes, the product does what it’s supposed to do but it does just that and is not very impressive. I glanced at the ingredient list and realized the product does contain two ingredients I am NOT a fan of at all. The FIRST ingredient was denatured alcohol. Denatured alcohol is an ingredient that will strip your skin but can tend to be very stripping to your skin. The fourth ingredient is witch hazel which is very simaler to denatured alcohol and acts like am astringent by drying out your pimples or pores. I rated this product a 3/5 because it does what it is said to do but, also is not worth the price and I don’t like the ingredients other then salycic acid. third- KINSHIP - Naked Papaya Gentle Enzyme Face Cleanser For a long time I had been using a cleanser that was way two stripping for my skin so I decided to try a more hydrating cleanser. First off the bat, I noticed that it had a super strong papaya scent that was not from fragrance but from natural papaya. An ingredient that stood out to me was aloe to sooth the skin. This is also alcohol free and fragrance free. This product was super soft on the skin and felt nice but I have been using it for three weeks and have not seen any results. It cleans your skin and gets rid of dirt but, it hasn’t helped with my acne and pores at all. I will give you an update if I see any difference in results in these products but for now this is how I feel. Have you tried any of these? If so what were your thoughts?
