❤️ morning mask ❤️
If I ever wake up before my alarm in the mornings, I like to treat myself. Since I’m up earlier than I expected, it’s the perfect time to give a little time back to my skin. This mask is perfect for all skin types. It pumps out pink and you rub it in till it turns white. Leave it on for 15 minutes, and you have glowing, hydrated and soft skin. This mask has PHAs, and Nordic birch sap. It’s great for a deep clean that leaves a lasting glow. It’s promises to reduce wrinkles, hydrate skin, help with eczema, and be deep cleansing. I love to use it before my morning skincare 2-3 times a week.
Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. Best Mask for Oily/Combo Skin Brightening 🧡
Georgette Klinger 10 Day Radiance Challenge 🍊 Thank you Cherie and Georgette Klinger for gifting me their entire Vitamin C line in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are, and were encouraged to be, completely honest and my own. The GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Mask is a clay mask that contains bentonite clay, kaolin clay, and vitamin C. Georgette Klinger claims this mask will brighten and even out the complexion as it protects the skin from free radical damage and draws out impurities. They say it’s for all skin types but I personally think this is more geared towards my oily or combo friends. The mask is your typical mud mask constancy. I usually cleanse my skin and then go into this mask twice a week. I smooth it on and let it do it’s work for about 15 minutes. It is one of those masks that will dry down and tend to feel uncomfortable if you move your face around so I recommend this as a lay down and relax kind of mask. It has a strawberry orange creamsicle smell that isn’t over powering. While it’s on I don’t experience any issues while it dries down but when I do wash it off my skin can feel a little bit tight (because of the kaolin and bentonite). As long as I go in with hydrating ingredients afterwards I’m fine but be aware of this when purchasing. I did experience the beginning of some post acne hyperpigmentation fading while using this twice a week. It did a good job as taking away some of the excess oils from my skin and it always looked good afterwards so I’m calling this one a win. For $36 you get 1.7 oz and a pump and a half covers my whole face so it will last you a while. I will say it’s hard to see in the photos (all taken at the same time 5 days a part from each other) but I do see a slight difference in the hyper pigmentation I do have. My skin does look a little brighter and even which I’m happy about. The only issue I came across was my face is a little more red than usual. I do naturally have some redness in my skin and I was using niacinamide to treat that and while doing this trial I decided to not use it so I’m assuming it’s from that. Despite the redness I did not experience any irritation from this product. Oddly enough as well I think the products did have a positive effect on my pores. The more I looked in the mirror they looked slightly better to me. I believe with longer use of the whole line I would definitely see better results. Overall I am happy with my results despite the redness (which I’m going to reintroduce the niacinamide back into my routine and see if it goes away)

Most Versatile Mask I’ve Ever Used!
Years ago, this was the first high-priced skin care product I ever purchased. It was recommended to me by a friend who swore by it. Let me start by saying I LOVE this mask. And I have gifted it to so many people who, in turn, have also become advocates for it. The gel consistency is refreshing and ultra hydrating. It’s also helped with my hyperpigmentation (from an intense bout of unexplained cystic acne I had over Christmas last year). So, why did I say it’s “the most versatile mask I’ve ever used”? Here are some of the ways I’ve used it (works for me): Weekly thick layered masks. The recommended time is about 15-20 minutes. But I will really layer it on and leave it for 60-90 minutes. I found this works really well for my skin when there is no major issues. Quick Pore fix: I apply this only to my nose and cheeks for about 5 minutes when my pores need a pick-me-up. After-sun: In the summer I keep this in the fridge and apply to my Face and neck when I can feel I was in the sun a bit too long. I’ve noticed this (in combo with a good sunscreen) has kept me from ever peeling for the last few years. *knock on wood* Overnight Mask: Apply a light layer and sleep on it. This isn’t something I do frequently anymore but at the beginning this is how I began using it. Finally, since this mask is a gel and can be applied liberally, this jar will last you a very, very long time. It’s about $65CAD, but It’s been a good investment for me and is my ride-or-die for face masks! ✌🏼 PETER THOMAS ROTH - Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask

Retinol Sleeping Mask
From the raving reviews, I decided to try this sleeping mask. It’s a thick like consistency and smells pretty good. But, you know fragrance for people with sensitive skin can be not a good thing, lol. Anyway, it’s supposed to a natural occurring fragrance and when I woke up this morning I was SHOCKED. I’m currently getting that awful acne along with that time of the month and this helped out soooo much. My dark spots were faded, and the new pimples were diminished. Definitely going to repurchase!

amazing mask for blemishes/acne!
I decided to purchase this mask after hearing amazing things and after using it a couple of times now I can safely say it lives up to the hype! I am really enjoying this mask to tighten my pores and help heal blemishes. It is designed to detoxify, brighten, refine & invigorate skin with lots of good ingredients such as pink clay which is the star ingredient that draws out the toxins and and purifies the skin, witch hazel for pores & irritation, kadaku plum to brighten & antioxidant rich fruits such a pomegranate and mangosteen! This product is also a ‘clean’ product and doesn’t include any harsh chemicals or silicones & is cruelty free! Each time I’ve used this mask I’ve noticed a difference in my skin after a couple of hours. My pores will be tighter and my blemishes will be so much less inflamed and redness reduced- I also noticed my blemishes heal faster AND this mask does help brighten my skin too! A perfect mask for breakouts/acne because of the soothing, detoxifying ingredients. I would 100% recommend this to anybody. I’m going to use this mask consistently around twice a week because I’m enjoying it that much. This mask is easy to apply, very smooth and is so EASY to remove! It also doesn’t make your skin feel dry like a lot of other clay masks do. I haven’t had any negative reactions to this mask- just clearer, more glowing skin! It is pricey, at $49 for a face mask, but considering it lasts a LONG time (I’ve barely even made a dent after 4/5 uses), and it’s effective, then to me I think it’s worth the money. So happy I purchased this mask! Absolutely 5/5 stars! SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask

Today I am talking about the vitamin C clay mask called Bright On. This is an absolute staple in my skincare. I love how it brightens and detoxifies in one simple step! When I am getting breakouts, I bring this out and it not only helps clear them up faster but it also lessens the appearance of scarring. I love to use it as a spot treatment as well. _______ All about Bright On - You can see it working! Bright On changes color as it transforms the appearance of your skin. As you massage it into your skin, vitamin C capsules burst, turning from lavender to green, and releasing powerful brightening and clarifying benefits for instant results. Skin-perfecting multitasker. This dual-action formula helps detox and brighten without drying or breaking you out. It’s suitable for all skin types and will never strip. Fruit-derived AHAs gently resurface skin, creating a virtually poreless finish and leaving skin feeling smoother and softer. Naturally detoxes.
