Beautycation_by_shruti
If you know me for my Acne journey, you know I managed to leave my hormonal acne at bay. For few weeks I've been focusing on my Acne scars (dark spots) or Hyperpigmentation. For my Indian/brown skin it is inevitable to take care of my Post inflammatory Hyperpigmentation as it tends to get worse with time and sun exposure. The key to start with gettind rid of hyperpigmentation is Sunscreen. Mostly an SPF 30+. It is very important to calm those Melanocytes (cells that produce Melanin) and stop/reduce inter-cell transfer of melanin once it's produced. ✨This can be done with the help of these ingredients : 1. Niacinamide - Brightens skin, reduces Inter-transfer of melanin, Calms melanocytes 2. Alpha Arbutin - Brightening agent, stops excessive melanin production 3. L-Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) - Brightens and lightens dark spots 4. Azelaic acid - Brightens, gently exfoliates and calms Melanocytes 5. AHAs and Retinol - Increase cell turnover and exfoliate skin for brightening of hyperpigmentation. These all are my current favorites and are absolutely effective. Their formulation is so good I have been able to enjoy using them. ✨AM routine : 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner
2. ( I use this to prevent further breakouts, and I experienced slight brightening with this as well) NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2%

Powerhouse serum ! VITAMIN A HIGH DOSE RETINOL
SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum is an amazing serum . Price $85 Quality at its finest . I like how it smells too . What does vitamin a do ? Vitamin A helps to speed up healing, prevent breakouts and support the skin's immune system and it promotes natural moisturising - which means it helps to hydrate the skin effectively, giving it a radiant glow. It assists in promoting and maintaining a healthy dermis and epidermis; the top two layers of your skin. Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily Suggested Usage: -Apply two or three pumps in the evening to clean, dry skin. For new retinoid users: -Use two days on, two days off. -Work your way up to every other day, then to daily, evening use. -Follow with a hydrating oil or moisturizer. -Use an AHA serum on alternate nights to sweep away dead skin cells. For sensitive skin: -Apply a hydrating oil or moisturizer before applying A+ Serum. -This will create a protective barrier for the skin . Ingredients -Retinol Ester: Helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and the lines and encourages the signs of clearer skin without the drawbacks of retinol. -CoQ10: May improve the appearance of aging or UV-exposed skin, for a healthier-looking, balanced complexion. -Hawaiian White Honey: Pro-skin humectant, rich in phytonutirients Overall I like this product . I used it one night so I can’t speak too much on it as yet . I’m going to apply tomorrow night instead of using my mandelic acid .

New AM & PM routines!
This is a major update to my previous routine post from a few months ago! I’ve been wanting to switch to primarily using one brand, and I just LOVE Sunday Riley. One of my favorite things is that all of her products are designed to work together — so minimal fear of negative interactions! And, if you check out my before/after post from a few weeks ago, you’ll see why I’ll be a longtime SR user!

A guide to Naturium: Must Have products & brand
I see Naturium being the next 'The Ordinary'. There are so many reasons why I'm liking this brand and products, but the main reason is their formulation! I have been trying Naturium since its launch and I have tested these products from both cosumer and formulation perspective. I love them. The best part is they're expanding their range to include all the essential acids, antioxidants and vitamins but the main thing to consider is their product is not solely highlighting one or two ingredients. Unlike The Ordinary or The Inkey list these products are affectively formulated with bunch of ingredients together to create a formulation effective as well as enjoyable! I have these picks from the brand which are so good in my Acne prone skincare regimen: 1. Hyaluronic acid essence 2% (16$) NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% - This made me fall in love with essences. This lightweight watery yet slippery formula glides on skin without tugging it and evaporating right away. ✨Benefits: - Softens, soothes & hydrates -Provides optimum moisture balance -Preps skin for better absorption of skincare 2. Niacinamide serum 12% + Zinc 2% (16$) NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% - This is one of the best Niacinamide serums I have ever tried. The best formula, amazing results and easy to add and stick in your routine. ✨Benefits : -Helps reduce the look of enlarged pores -Refines the appearance of uneven texture -Helps balance excess oil production -Purifies congested skin 3. Vitamin C super serum plus (25$) NATURIUM - Vitamin C Super Serum Plus - Ana amazing blend of vitamin c, retinol, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and salicylic acid to help brighten, smooth, firm and target the look of fine lines while shielding skin from environmental stressors. ✨Benefits : -Multi-benefit serum enhances overall complexion -Minimizes the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles -Visually brightens, smooths & firms 4. Azelaic topical acid 10% (20$) NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% - a high concentration of glycinated azelaic acid, along with niacinamide, vitamin C and coffee seed extract, which minimize skin imperfections such as congestion, redness, dullness and discoloration. ✨Benefits: Gently exfoliates Helps reduce dark spots Balances excess oil 5. Alpha Arbutin serum 2% (20$) NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Serum 2% - Beautiful formula blended with Alpha arbutin, Niacinamide and lemon to lighten dark spots much effectively and fast ✨Benefits: -Brightens and evens skin tone -Helps prevent dark spot development -Ideal for all skin types and complexions 6. Alpha arbutin essence 1% (16$) NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Essence 1% - 1% alpha arbutin, beta-glucan and orange blossom to hydrate skin while diminishing the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Beautiful essence to add in your prepping routine. ✨Benefits: -Brightens and evens skin tone -Helps prevent dark spot development -Ideal for all skin types and complexions 7. BHA liquid exfoliant 2% (20$) NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% - This BHA toner is competing with cult favorite Paula's choice BHA exfoliant. Amazing alternative for congested pores and Acne prone skin. ✨Benefits: -Effectively exfoliates skin to unclog pores -Minimizes the look of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven texture -Creates a glowing, radiant complexion These products have helped a lot when I was dealing with my Active hormonal acne and now they're doing an amazing job in gettind rid of my PIH (dark spots) I think you shoukd definitely give this brand and these products a try. I assure you, you won't be disappointed. ❤️ 😇

Pregnancy Melasama Impoving
Giving birth to my beautiful baby girl has definitely been the greatest joy of my life and I wouldn't change anything. 1 year after giving birth my neck still looked like the the BEFORE picture. I think it was towards the end of my first trimester I started getting this dark discoloration on my neck and my doctor diagnosed me with melasma. She said it was due to the pregnancy nothing serious and will fade over time after I gave birth. So after giving birth I wait 1 year and nothing changes!!!! I started all different serums but what seemed to work the best was a combination of NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Serum 2% , NATURIUM - Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% and NATURIUM - Vitamin C Face Oil layered during the day and making sure I finished with sunscreen PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ As you can see, by the before and after, using these products constantly has greatly improved the melasma on my neck and my face. These pictures were taken 3 months apart.

My Latest Favourites!
I have sensitive combo skin and a love of skincare that surpasses the amount of skin I have- I love trying new products! I’ve been testing some newer serums, typically applied thinnest to thickest after I cleanse and before a moisturizer. Here are my current favourites: • *HOLI FROG - Galilee Antioxidant Dewy Drop is amazing for general hydration, though I love to see the antimicrobial/anti-inflammatory Azelaic Acid in it! A slew of antioxidants like CoQ10, azelaic acid, alpha-lipoic acid, honeysuckle flower extract, green tea leaf extract, and vitamin E make this a powerhouse for fighting environmental aggressors that agitate/age skin! But $52 USD is steep for 30mL, so I’m not sure this is “worth the money” for most folks. • NATURIUM - Hyaluronic Acid Essence 2% is fantastic and I recommend it to those that struggle with dehydration or want an extra boost of hydration with autumn/winter coming along! It’s incredibly lightweight, perfect for patting onto damp skin post-cleanse and before other serums. $16 USD for 170mL is perfect, making this humectant-packed serum 100% worth it imo. • NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Serum 2% costs $20 USD for 30mL and I can’t recommend it enough for those that suffer from uneven skin tone, melasma, and/or hyperpigmentation! Alpha arbutin is molecularly similar to hydroquinone and works similarly, interrupting melanin synthesis to lighten dark spots and even skin tone. Naturium formulates it alongside niacinamide (great for soothing skin) and a variety of humectants. I love alpha arbutin for fading my dark spots. • Apostrophe - 0.05% Tretinoin + 4% Niacinamide Lotion | ★★★★★ is formulated around the gold-star ingredient for anti-aging: prescription retinoid! They include some simple emollients to create a spreadable lotion, as well as niacinamide, a wonderfully multifaceted ingredient that helps with acne, skin tone, and oil production. This silky serum-lotion is amazing- little to no irritation as my skin adjusted to tret, reduction in acne (before COVID maskne and stress hit), and a noticeable smoothing of the few fine lines that had been growing on my forehead and around my mouth. It costs $90 to fill my prescription but the tube has lasted me since June 1st (using it three times per week) and while it’s feeling very light, it’s still pumping out product. Apostrophe cites the bottle as lasting about 3 months with nightly use, making the cost for their recommended use $30 per month- not bad for zero insurance prescription retinoid access! • *By Wishtrend - Polyphenols in Propolis 15% Ampoule is an interesting serum that targets inflammation, irritation, and dehydration. Polyphenols and the variety of extracts included help to minimize redness as well as lessen the intensity of inflammatory acne. $32 USD for 30mL makes this a small splurge but I think it could benefit those with sensitive and/or dry skin. *gifted #CheriePartner

Got Dark Spots?! These Are My Fav Ingredients 💯
I struggle a lot with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation! I always get dark spots post breakouts. Once I started focusing on brightening my skin, it was a game changer! My complexion began to look so much more even and less spotty. These are my favorite brightening Ingredients that faded my dark spots! 💫 AHA's AHA's like lactic, mandelic, & especially glycolic acid all work by urging along your skins natural shedding process. It speeds up cell turnover to fade spots, brighten, & even skin. It also helps with skin texture and pores. But AHAs can be irritating, especially at higher percentages so it's important to do your research before buying a product. If you're new to exfoliating acids, I'd start with a gentle formulation. VITAMIN C Vitamin C has been shown to impede melanin production, which help fade dark spots & lead to a more even-toned complexion. It's also a great antioxidant & has MANY other anti-aging and skin smoothing benefits. And it can be used daily, which overtime will result in a dramatic change in your skin! NIACINAMIDE This is a powerhouse ingredient that can be used by almost anyone! To get a full run-down on niacinamide, PLEASE check out my post on it! Like Vitamin C, It also helps to slow down the production of Melanin & lighten dark patches. But it's less likely to be as irritating, and has more benefits and faster results. Especially for acne-prone skin. HYDROQUINONE Hydroquinone is a controversial ingredient, but has been found as the most effective ingredient for evening out your skin tone & fading dark spots. If formulated right, (which most hydroquinone products in the U.S are) then it's safe and super effective. Hydroquinone, again helps limit skin from creating an excess amount of melanin. The strongest you can get it over the counter is 2%, but prescription it's commonly 4% or even higher. ALPHA ARBUTIN Alpha Arbutin's sole purpose is skin lightening. It's a skin whitener, often used as an gentler alternative for hydroquinone. And It reduces melanin formation, improving the appearance of discoloration. I'm new to this ingredient, but I love it! Alpha Arbutin also pairs GREAT with Vitamin C, and Niacinamide for maximum brightening effects. RETINOL Retinoid is a popular, multi-tasking ingredient that works by prompting surface skin cells to turn over & die, making way for new skin cells. And it curbs the production of Melanin. It's one of the most researched ingredients on the market, and has great benefits for aging, and even acne prone skin. You also want to start at a low concentration of retinol, because it can be irritating and drying. AZELAIC ACID Azelaic acid is an underrated ingredient. It gently works wonders on hyperpigmentation & acne prone skin. It targets certain pigment production, & fades dark spots without lightening the normal skin tone. It does this by targeting melanin. AND it's safe during pregnancy! Side note: NONE OF THESE WILL WORK WELL IF YOU DONT USE SUNSCREEN ⚠️❗

does the order of skincare products matter?
hey everyone!! today I’ll be talking about the order of skincare products and why it’s important to have order with them 🌟 going off this graph, I do not use an eye cream and my routine is the “day” order for both morning and night routines. you should be applying your skincare products in order of thinnest to thickest. this is because the thicker products like moisturiser, eye cream etc, take longer to penetrate into the skin. if you were to put your thinner products after the thicker ones, then those products may not be getting their full effects. 1. cleanser helps to get rid of dirt, oil, makeup, sunscreen off of your face from the day. cleansing is the most important step of a skincare routine my favourites CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cleanser 2. toner toner helps to reset your pH level and aids in getting rid of the excess oil, dirt etc. (you do not need a toner! for some people, this is an unnecessary step and they may not need it 🤗 ) my favourite PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner 3. serum everyone’s serum needs are different, apply your favourite my favourites NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 4. eye cream again like toner, some people love using eye cream, others don’t, it’s all up to you and your skincare needs :) 5. moisturiser hydration !! my favourites CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream 6. SPF sunscreen is super important during the day, even if it’s not sunny outside, SPF is crucial. my favourite LE TAN COCONUT SPF 15

Update form last post
As you guys saw my right cheek was struggling a little over a week ago. I simplified my routine to help my skin heal, but I did introduce two new products that I believe helped my skin and no irritation occurred. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% I love this stuff! It was gentle but effective. NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% I have been loyal to the ordinary one, but I wanted to try a new brand and elevate my routine. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream My go to moisturizer especially in the winter CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Sunscreen is important especially when using an active PM DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil used to double cleanse I am still using tretinoin 0.0025% twice a week. I am slowly introducing it again! The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I used it once in the last week but want to use it as needed. This has been my go to routine for a week and the only thing that’s happened is my skin is evening out, my acne has diminished and is being kept at bay and my skin isn’t irritated as often as it was. I am super happy and content with this routine and hope to see what happens moving forward

Love ❤️
For those with clogged pore or blackheads this stuff WORKS! I have large very visible pores that quickly fill with gunk and it’s look terrible across my nose and cheeks. This liquid exfoliator gets in there and cleans house making my stubborn pores nearly invisible. This BHA toner is very similar to the cult favPAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator. The Naturium toner, however, is slightly cheaper for the same amount. It has a slightly than thicker water consistency that’s like an essence. I love it because it because I don’t necessarily need to use a cotton pad to apply it. I can just shake a few drops into my hand and spread it onto my face. This is made with encapsulated salicylic acid and bioactive fruit acids that Naturium says will help unclog pores, even skin tone and smooth fine lines and wrinkles for a healthier, more radiant looking complexion. I’ve definitely seen this, and this will definitely be a repurchase from me. I found this to be very gentle as far as BHAs go. I was quickly confident in using it once everyday. Just be to wear SPF!!! Naturium products are Made in the USA, Cruelty Free, Paraben Free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Fragrance Free and Dermatologist Tested. Really fantastic product and I highly recommend.

Sunday Riley Empties!
I freaking love this brand! Their marketing, packaging, and products continue to impress me as I try new things. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil probably the least favorite product I’ve tried from Sunday Riley. I mainly just didn’t feel like it sunk into my skin, and left me oily, which is something I definitely don’t want in the mornings when I am applying vitamin C. SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser just meh. Don’t love the consistency or color (like a murky gray color??) it was fine as a cleanser, but I didn’t find anything special about it. SUNDAY RILEY - Ice Ceramide Moisturizing Cream this stuff is good, just a little heavier than I tend to use. I know ceramides are great for retaining skin moisture, but since my skin leans oily, it just was a bit much for me! I like the consistency and clean feel though! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream I love this stuff!!! Favorite vitamin c product I’ve tried so far. It works great as a morning moisturizer in the morning, and sinks in to my skin great as a base for my makeup!! Big fan. SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment there’s nothing I can say about this stuff that hasn’t already been said by everyone else. I truly saw a difference in pores, brightness, and just general appearance of my skin quickly after beginning to use this. Super happy with it. SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil amazing. I love this as an intro to retinol, and it has had no negative effects since it’s so gentle! I love the smell, the blue color, and will continue to buy this as long as they will sell it to me!

Addition to Winter ❄️ Skincare Routine 🍊
Hey there! I hope you’re having a great week so far. I know that the last few weeks have been crazy in the US 🇺🇸 at least due to the election and everything. I received the Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Hydration Cream on my Boxy premium back in August. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream It was still quite hot in California around that time with multiple heat waves and decided to take this off my routine. It made my face super oily despite having dry skin. However, it started getting cold around mid-October and that’s when I added this to my morning routine. This has a high potency of Vitamin C and claims to fight visible signs of aging while helping with dryness. This is perfect for the colder months because it is thick and fixes my dry patches quickly. It also feels like butter on skin. My skin feels quickly moisturized and prepped in the morning. I also LOVE how this smells. It smells like freshly squeezed orange juice. I use this right after I apply my Vitamin C serum from Drunk Elephant. I don’t use this at night because I want to avoid mixing vitamin C with AHA/BHA and glycolic acid. I use those ingredients on my night time routines So far this made a huge difference on my skin. Not only it helps with moisturizing, but it makes my skin glow for hours. This item is a bit pricey however. It retails for $65 USD. Though pricey, I will definitely re-purchase. What additions have you made to your winter skincare routine? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

My skincare (normal to oily sensitive skin)
My current routine! I have ups & downs & some I want to improve but this is what it’s currently at! Not pictured: TATCHA - Calming Foaming Enzyme Powder Absolutely love! Was going back & forth between this version & the one for oily skin but this one is juuuuuust right for my picky skin!! Pictured: (in order of use) TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener Omg-it’s a game changer! This stuff may just look like fancy water (lol who am I kidding-I use evian - Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray so yeah-THATS fancy water but I love it! lol) but this stuff is 100% the real deal! I’ve noticed that products glide one & I don’t have as much of the shiny effect after putting on my skincare routine! Yay! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex Firming Eye Serum Ok so warning on this one-you’ll never use a full pump unless you share with 2 other people at the same time-this pump is stupid-I hate it but the product so far has done a good job & hasn’t made me run to go find a new one right away-could it be improved...? Yeah-but it’s a good option for me for now 😊 also-I don’t like using this by itself cuz it’s drying... so for a fix to that I added.... DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Tango Multivitamin Eye Cream One again-you don’t need a full pump unless you’re sharing-no one has that much surface area to cover with this...ugh. This is the step that was missing when I just was using the firming serum-this is hydrating & goes after because it’s thicker. The combo works for me. Would I rather have 1 product? Yes. Would I rather have a better pump that doesn’t portion out share sizes of product? Yes.... am I rushing to Sephora to find a new one? Ha! No.... Curology - Curology formula My 2 cents on those people who hate this? It’s not for you & that’s ok! But dang does this work for me!! It’s a must have!! Love it!! -or- never and DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum I haven’t used this enough to rate but this is supposedly suppose to help with dark spots & pores? We shall see tester size...we shall see... TATCHA - The Water Cream Omg moisture heaven! Smells like a spa, glides on like a dream AND has gold in it? Sign me up! This stuff is amazing-I love it & it does wonders for me! Add ons! TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK Not in love-good for dry spots or singular areas every once in a while but meh-not worth it & not a fave of mine. TATCHA - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Also-not in love. Is it nice when I’m dried out? Yeah! Does it last? Nooooot really? Meh-I have it I’ll use it & I won’t buy again... TATCHA - Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 35 PA+++ Meh-this is just....meh. Again will use it up & not rebuy....

AM, PM, Occasional, and New Products!
I’ve been simplifying my day to day routines and working in “specialty” products on occasion, to save time and money. AM (Alllll about quick and easy!) Andalou Apricot Cleansing Milk Cerave PM Moisturizer Nivea Super Watery Gel SPF PM Cerave Hydrating Cleanser (or Andalou if I want more richness) EB5 Anti Aging Toner Curology (clindamyacin 1%, tretinoin .04%, azelaic acid 7%) Hadalabo Hyalruronic Acid Illiyoon Ceramide Moisturizer Acure Blue Tansy Oil Rotating Products Makeup Removal: Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm (I know some of you swear by the double cleanse, but it’s typically too irritating for me daily) Exfoliating (in place of EB5): Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Peel (great when I feel a breakout coming on), Alpha H Liquid Gold (for when I’m feeling super lazy—I cleanse, use this, and slap on a thick moisturizer...that’s it!) Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: Great top coat to seal in extra moisture Cicaplast Baume 5: Also a great top coat, more occlusive and I love when I’m feeling super dry Acne Spot Treatment: Kate Somerville EradiKate reduces size and redness overnight. Tends to pull off the whiteheads and cause bleeding & thus scarring when removed the next morning, so use with caution Holy Grail: Naturopathica Alpine Rose Recovery Serum. This is a 7-day treatment serum that reduces redness, plumps you up, and helps bump up the glow. For use 3-4 times a year at most, so would be great to use if you have an event you want to look extra glowy for. (Who goes anywhere nowadays? I can dream...) New Products (both recommended by my skincare group. Will update) Stratia Liquid Gold: Additional evening moisture layer Stratia Rewind: evening moisture layer, supposed to help with redness too

Current Sunscreen Rotation☀️
I’ve been rotating between these sunscreens, depending on the day! TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 least favorite choice but it has its benefits! This is a gel texture, and leaves the face pretty shiny. I don’t love layering it with other products/makeup, because it does have a pilling effect. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 this works as a great makeup primer!! The price is a little extreme for the size of the package, but I do love it as a clear layer under my makeup! VERSED - Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum this is a new purchase and I’m loving it so far. I know that mineral sunscreens are typically recommended, but I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on that. I love that it has sort of a skin color, so it is almost like a tinted moisturizer. Works great for me!

Bargain Find: Amazing Mineral Sunscreen
I found this beauty in TJ Maxx for $15 (retails at $27-$40) I love sunscreens that have benefits. I recently did a review on the TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 which I still love I just find myself wanting something for my makeup. This Product: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Mineral SPF 45 This left my skin so soft! I did a tester in the store after I bought (I was def going to return it if I hated it) and it was exactly what I was looking for! Ingredients: Squalane : Weightlessly locks in essential moisture THERMUS THERMPHILUS FERMENT: Ocean harvested enzyme with antioxidant properties to help reduce the effects of heat-inducing infrared (IR) light CHAMOMILE OIL & GINGER ROOT EXTRACT: Helps reduce the appearance of redness MINERAL LIGHT REFLECTORS: Reflects light to blur the look of fine lines, pores and other imperfections. Makes the perfect primer for makeup or to boost radiance on bare skin This protects against infrared lights. This makes up 50% of the suns light energy. It has been proven to amplify the damaging effects from UV radiation. My experience: I gave it 4 stars because it left a slight cast but it seemed more shimmers than anything. Also the smell wasn’t the best. Yet the benefits outweigh the negatives. Mineral Suncreen (easier on the skin) Squalane (great for hydrating) The two conjoined made this perfect what I was looking for.

Put a dime size amount of The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA into hands & warm. Apply all over face & neck 8. I got back & forth between which eye cream I use but I usually go with thebliss - Eye Do All Things Eye Gel & apply a dot under my eyes & use the roller ball to rub it in & depuff my eyes. Night Time: 1. Apply cocokind - Facial cleansing oil all over face & use a warm damp washcloth to remove 2. Cleanse face with bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Cleanser - rinse with cool water 3. Every other night I switch between using The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution by putting it on a cotton round & applying it to my face, allow a few minutes to absorb completely 4. Also every other night (the same nights that I use the Glycolic Acid Toner) I apply PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator with a cotton round & allow a few minutes to absorb before proceeding with the next step 5. Apply I'm from - Rice Toner with a cotton round & after applying, squeeze excess product out of cotton round onto hands & apply directly to face, allow a few minutes for product to absorb into face 6. Apply The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - warm 2 drops in hands & press into skin all over face, allow a few minutes to absorb 7. Apply The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil - warm 2 drops in hands & press into skin all over face, allow a few minutes to absorb 8. Warm a dime size amount of CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion in between hands & apply all over face & neck 9. Last but not least I apply KATE BLANC - Castor Oil to my lashes, eyebrows, & I warm a drop between my fingers & apply it under my eyes before bed (product not pictured) & that’s it, my daily AM & PM skincare routine!! Thanks so much for reading guys & let me know if you have any questions, comments or advice!

Game to determine what acids you should use!
I have been getting some comments asking what kind of acids you should use based on your skin type and I have been trying to do my best to help you guys out but I just saw this great post by @beautycasion_by_shurti which will really help anyone who has questions about this out, please go check that out. My Beauty Year in Review
I think everyone can say 2020 has been a challenging year, but with lots of opportunity for growth. In February I had my daughter. 4 weeks later Ontario was locked down, everything but non-essential businesses were closed, including schools & daycares, so I had my 3 year old son home and 4 week old home with me with no support (no grandparent visits, drop-ins etc). And, what started as a 3 week lockdown turned into months. I’m not going to lie it was difficult at first. I was exhausted. It felt like I had no time for myself. I was going from when they woke up at 6:30am till bedtime at 8:30pm (plus night feedings 😴) But we’ve adjusted to this “new normal” and the biggest blessing of this year was the arrival of my daughter and all the extra time with my family. The picture on the top right is what pushed me to start my skincare journey. It was a good day. I started carving out “me” time by going for a run, but when I looked at the picture all I saw was my crows feet and how tired I looked. I had the CLINIQUE - 3-Step Introduction Kit for Drier Skin (Type 2) in my cupboard, but have to admit I was rarely using it. Sometimes using the cleanser in the shower. Grabbing the lotion if my skin felt dry. I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I wasn’t taking care of myself. I decided I wanted to buy some anti-aging skincare because I wasn’t ready for wrinkles. And I decided it was okay to spend money on myself. I turned to Clinique because it was the brand I had always used. I ordered: CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Later this fall when I was running low I started researching more about skincare and stumbled upon Cherie 🍒 This has been a great resource, teaching me what I should incorporate into my routine (i.e., Vit C, AHAs), and reading honest reviews. I now look forward to my AM & PM routine. I’ve started doing a quick 5min make-up routine (see previous post), and found a creative outlet posting here about my journey. The bottom right picture is recent. I am would say I am just as tired as the other pictures (my baby still is getting up every 3hrs at night!), but I’m taking care of my skin and I feel much better about myself. Skincare has become my self care this year! Here are a couple new products I discovered and loved: SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment You really see your face brighten & get smoother before your eyes! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil Loved the wake me up scent & morning glow The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I wake up with my skin feeling soft & rejuvenated

Worth the hype! Sunday Riley resurfacing duo
SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment SUNDAY RILEY - Pink Drink Firming Resurfacing Essence ⚡️my skin type: sensitive eczema and acne prone ⚡️what the product does: resurfaces skin. gets rid of dullness ⚡️what makes it worth it: properly formulated for even sensitive skin types. has not irritated my skin ⚡️ingredient highlights: lactic acid ⚡️what the experience is like: slight fermented smell of the pink drink is not entirely off putting and slight tingling upon application, but i always wake up with better skin while using this. ⚡️in full transparency: i was originally sent these products for a paid campaign. i always test out products before i make my reccomendation , but this post is to reinforce my love for the products. ive been using this duo for almost 2 months now & it has definitely improved the texture/look of my skin. i was hyping this product on my IG & this post is just to say that yes its still worth the hype!!!

we love good skin days 😊
I just wanted to make a quick post because my skin was surprisingly good today! I’ve been struggling with my skin for a few months so it was nice to finally have a day when I felt good about my skin. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been adjusting the products I use and the way I layer to minimize pilling and to reduce stickiness. Today I used these products in this order: 1) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I will do a product review soon! 2) PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner I tried taking this out of my routine for a bit and I just re-added it to remove some loose skin after I cleansed. 3) Curél - Moisture Facial Lotion Enrich I mix 2 pumps of this with one drop of pure vegetable glycerine and put it on my damp face. 4) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’m not sure this has really been working for me but I recently bought THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serumso I’m excited to see if I will get results. I usually use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 before the niacinamide serum, but it’s been a little sticky for me lately so I just use it at night. 5) I use my prescription-strength Azelaic Acid. I love this for my hyperpigmentation and redness! 6) The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 7) CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is such a perfect, light moisturizer for both day and night! 8) I finish it off with my FAVORITE sunscreen dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ I mixed this with a drop of tea tree oil and spread it all over my face and neck. Tea tree oil is key for me! It surprisingly gives me a nice glow and helps reduce redness. Again, I’m still playing around with my skincare routine, so sometimes I’ll throw some of these products into my routine: dear, klairs - Fundamental Watery Oil Drop , The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream , andThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 .

Update on my products, almost forgot 2 things
In addition to my last post: I added my sunscreen and eye cream. I switch out the moisturizer with the sunscreen during the day and I usually keep it more simple during the day. Cleanser, toner, vitamin C serum, 10% Azeleic acid booster and a small amount of the gel moisturizer in my t-zone, then finish with two fingers worth of sunscreen. At night sometimes I end with just the gel moisturizer, sometimes I add my Curology on my problem areas. TRYING to keep it simple while treating my skin. Still pretty oily sometimes, especially if I’m not hydrating. Acne is still bad and have many red spots but trying to be patient. Lmk what you think! ✌🏽&❤️

My Night Routine
These are the products I’ve been using for the past several weeks for my night routine and I’ve been really happy with the results. I’ve seen improvements with hyperpigmentation, fine lines, texture (tighter pores), acne, hydration and overall brightness. Here’s my list of products in the order I use them: • La Roche-Posey Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser (I use this with my silicone scrubber brush) • Jack Black Power Peel Multi-Acid Resurfacing Pads • The Ordinary “Buffet” serum (3 drops) mixed with a couple shakes of Cosmedix Pure C powder (I apply some to my lips also) • Dr. Brandt D.N.A. Triple Peptide Eye Cream • Elemis Peptide 4 Night Recovery Cream-Oil (my favorite night cream ever!) • La Roche Posey Effaclar Duo Duel Acne Treatment (as needed for spot treatment)

Vita B3 + C The Best to brighten Dull skin
Swipe left for texture shots 🔙 This Royal Vita Propolis 33 Ampoule by Dr. Ceuracle @dr.ceuracle_global Dr.Ceuracle - Royal Vita Propolis 33 Ampoule is Amazing!!! This is a Korean brand and product⭐ The name is given with the ingredients it has! This small ampoule works great on skin without requiring a large amount in single application. Only two-three drops go a long way and they work great by giving the skin a natural radiant glow and brightened complexion. ✨Ingredients breakdown: 1. 33.5% Propolis extract + Royal jelly extract (Propolis is made by bees to protect their hives from external factors) - This has rich  Anti-oxidant properties. Also it helps amazingly to relieve Irritated, sensitive skin with eliminating redness and rosacea. 2. Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Panthenol (Vitamin B5) and Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C derivative) - This concussion is very well known for boosting radiance and brightening complexion, also this helps in getting rid of Hyperpigmentation and dark spots. 3. Rose Centifolia flower water - Helps in calming and hydrating irritated skin. ✨My experience: 1. The formula is so unique it starts as watery consistency and applies like a lightweight oil similar to Squalane. 2. Doesn't feel greasy or heavy. 3. Doesn't irritate or burn skin. 4. Gives that instant glow because of the oily consistency. 5. Works amazing over the time by brightening dull skin and leaves skin looking plump and healthy. 6. The bottle is very small but you don't require a lot of product. So it goes a long way. Apply this as the last step in your routine or before moisturiser and it won't even feel on the skin. Over all I loved the skin science behind this formula, it's very unique and effective!! ❤

This is the dr.ceuracle Royal Vita Propolis 33 Ampoule. It’s formulated with 50% propolis extract and 10% Seabuckthorn tree extract. The propolis extract has antioxidative and anti-inflammatory properties plus seabuckthorn is naturally inflammatory as well! . ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕕𝕠𝕖𝕤 𝕚𝕥 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝? . This consistency of this serum is pretty watery, almost like an essence. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky at all. I use two droppers worth of the serum to cover my face and upper neck area. . 𝔻𝕠𝕖𝕤 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜? . I used this twice a day for a week and a half and found that it’s slightly moisturizing but nothing amazing. It’s a decent serum but I wouldn’t go out of my way to use it or replace one of my other serums with it, so I wouldn’t buy another bottle. .

Sunday Riley’s Tidal is a Hot Mess
Where to start... I wanted to love this. I really, really did. But boy, this disappointed me! First, the good news: thankfully, I bought this at a discount through Ipsy, rather than at full price. And... the packaging is pretty. The rest, ladies, is pretty bad. This water cream is supposed to have a brightening effect. I can’t speak to whether it is effective at brightening or addressing discoloration, because I just could not wear this consistently. I tried. Really, I did. It has an odd scent that I can’t quite define. Whatever it is... it smells funky. If the product were effective, I could overlook this. This cream pills like crazy! Few products have ever caused such pilling for me. Like, SO bad. I have fairly sensitive skin (ever since I started using retinoids). But I can tolerate most products. There is something in this that caused irritation for me. It’s possible that this may not be the case for you, but for those with sensitive skin, be careful! Instead of a nice, refreshing “water” feel, my skin became red, hot, and irritated for the first few seconds. This dissipated quickly. It doesn’t really absorb. It feels greasy, rather than lightweight and hydrating. Yuck! I even tried to use this on my body (since my facial skin was sensitive), and I couldn’t stand it. It pilled, and it never absorbed. I’m not crazy about jars for sanitary reasons, so even though the packaging is beautiful, it’s not functional. So, while this cream does pack some decent ingredients, the formulation does not work for me at all... and it has irritating fragrances (yet smells funky!). Save your money and ditch this. SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream (Check out LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask instead. Review coming soon) Has anyone tried Peter Thomas Roth’s cloud cream? That is next on my list 😍

How do you use Good Genes?
Hi 👋 I received SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatmentas a sample and I’m looking for some advice on how to best use it. I’m excited to use this product. It has huge claims that you can notice smoother and brighter skin in 3 MINUTES! And it has great reviews. It will also be my first time trying an acid treatment. I have dry normal skin. This product has a big price tag at $122, so I want to make the most of this sample to see whether I will purchase. The instructions online all include coupling with other Sunday Riley products that I don’t have: SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oilor SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanseror SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream I was thinking to: 1. Use in the PM once a weekly 2. Use in replacement of my serum 3. Follow by my moisturizer What do you think? Is this correct? How do you use this product? What do you think of it?

Daytime skin care routine!
I like to keep my daytime routine super simple. First I wash my face with YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser which is I find perfect for my combination skin! Non stripping but yet still makes my skin feel clean. SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum I’ve used this for almost 2 months. I only rated it a 3 star because honestly I don’t see it making a huge change in my skin. It does brighten and help with dullness a little. but I don’t see a change in my dark spots. I will use this up but I wouldn’t be re buying it. I’m personally just not a huge fan of it. GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture CreamI recently just got this hence why I didn’t rate it! It smells amazing just like bananas. It’s nice medium thickness moisturizer. So far I don’t find it super thick on my skin and it doesn’t make my t zone look oily. From what I’ve tried I’d rate it a 4 star. I don’t think this will be enough moisture for me once winter comes but I do think this will perfect for summer. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I love this sunscreen doesn’t make my face feel oily and doesn’t break me out. Also I love using this under makeup. If you don’t like siliconey feels then i don’t think you’d like this.

NATURIUM GEMS ✨✨✨
I am so excited to share these products with you guys because just wow! I wanted to take some time to try them out for a bit and see how they would react on my skin. Happy to say these products absorb into my skin beautifully without leaving a sticky feeling. I always pair an occlusive moisturizer with my actives to prevent possible irritation and over drying. My thoughts: NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% This product gently exfoliates the skin to help reduce the appearance of dark spots. This also helps control and balance excess oil. This product has a slight tingling sensation when first applied but it goes away after you smooth or pat it into your skin. I like to apply this in the nighttime only. Never experienced itchiness or irritation after using this. NATURIUM - Vitamin C Super Serum Plus Now this bad boy contains vitamin c, vitamin a, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. I use this during the day time unless I’m wearing a mask that day. This helps with aging, acne, hyperpigmentation, And enhances overall complexion. I see an immediate brightening effect on my skin after using this. I love how this is a power infused serum that never leaves my skin feeling irritated. I use this serum 3-4 a week in the daytime. NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% This product deserves more hype then it’s getting. I see how it is improving the look of my dark spots, and overall skin texture. Gentle but very effective. Great for most skin styles. I love how this preforms and layers with other actives and serums as well. I use this almost every day. NATURIUM - Plant Squalane Face Oil 100% This is one of my favorite face oils of all time! Leaves your skin feeling moisturized, soft and supple. It’s a lightweight, non-greasy oil absorbs easily into the skin. I recommend this for all skin types. I love to use the oil whenever I’m breaking out as the last serum before my moisturizer. Even if I’m not breaking out I just love how this oil makes my skin look and feel. I hope you try these products out and let me know how they work for you. Thanks for reading 🤍 #skincareandshare

Please Don’t Mix These!
Please Don’t Mix These!
Acids (actives) and retinol are awesome skincare ingredients. They can do a lot for your skin, such as increasing cell turnover, lightening acne and dark spots, smoothing texture, help acne, and exfoliating dead skin. However, it’s important to know what products you can mix and what you can’t. For example, you don’t want to include retinol in your skincare routine at the same time as an exfoliating toner, overnight exfoliating treatment, or acid spit treatment. What I’m saying is you don’t want to wash your face, tone with the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner , apply a retinol serum such as THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum , and then use GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment or DERMA•E - Acne Blemish Control Treatment Serum . Not a good idea!! Why? Using these products together can cause over-exfoliation. Over-exfoliation goes beyond the typical bit of peeling and sensitivity that introducing retinol or acids can sometimes cause. You could end up with significant peeling, irritated spots, chemical burns, or any other adverse reaction specific to your body. I have over-exfoliated before by using the YTTP toner multiple days in a row. I had irritated, itchy, dry skin and little bumps formed on my forehead. Oops! It happens. But it could have been prevented. That’s why it’s important to read up on what skincare ingredients should and shouldn’t be mixed. Still want to use retinol and acids? Of course you can, but don’t use them at the same time! Apply your exfoliating toner (maybe not as strong as the YTTP one, though) in the AM and retinol or exfoliating serum in the PM. Or try applying 1 one day and another the next. Use your acne spot treatment alone. Most importantly, pay attention to your skin type and how it is reacting. If you have sensitive skin, you probably can’t exfoliate/use retinol even that frequently. I have dry skin, so I exfoliate and/or use retinol (never same day) 1-2x/week.

CosRx Snail Mucin Essence (k-beauty)
CosRx Snail Mucin Essence (k-beauty)
-What is it? A thick “essence” that is made of 96% snail mucin. Sounds gross right? Well I thought the same thing until I finally decided to try it. This snail mucin secretion is ideal and targeted for hydration and repair. Repair you say? This means hyperpigmentation, acne scars, healing open acne scars, etc. And THIS STUFF WORKS. It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties and also provides lasting hydration. As you can see it has a very thick consistency, it’s very gummy and sticky but doesn’t feel sticky on the skin if that makes sense. It doesn’t make me feel sticky because it absorbs so well. I say “essence” because normally essences have a watery or lightweight texture in my experience. This is targeted for all skin types. -My thoughts 💭 Definitely one of my favorite k-beauty products of all time. I’ve been using this for almost 2 months and I am about halfway through the bottle. I picked this up because I suffer from acne and specifically the marks that it leaves behind. I think it’s also nice to have some extra hydration in my routine. I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin with leftover acne marks since starting this product. If I pick (sometimes I can’t help it), this stuff will help heal the open scab and prevent severe scarring from happening. I love this product! -Final takeaways 🗣 100% recommend this product because I think everyone can benefit from it. Even if you don’t have acne prone skin, it still provides insane hydration to your skin. It also also so cost effective, which makes it even more amazing to me! $21 for 3.38 oz on SokoGlam, and I got mine on amazon for a similar price! You need this essence. Niacinamide: My Favourite Ingredient
Niacinamide: My Favourite Ingredient
Niacinamide is one of my all-time favourite ingredients and it’s really not talked about enough. Niacinamide is proving to be a power player in skincare, managing to soothe inflammation, reduce redness, control oil production, minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, even skin tone, improve texture, improve the appearance of fine lines, and improve skin radiance. It’s truly such a multi-faceted ingredient and I recommend it in all routines! Here are my experiences with some popular niacinamide serums: • The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% was my first niacinamide serum. It played a huge role in transforming my skin from oily to normal/combo. It also helped tons with my acne... until it didn’t. The zinc in this formulation is hit-or-miss, being a hit for most! But I found myself in the small population of the miss category, my skin reacting poorly to prolonged use. I still recommend folks wanting to try niacinamide on a budget give it a try at $5.90USD for 30mL and $10.60 for 60mL. •THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum came next, its $6.99/30mL price tag making it a good zinc-free budget alternative. This product utilizes niacinamide in a base of glycerin, squalane, and hyaluronic acid, focusing on light hydration alongside the touted oil control. The lip does get a bit clogged with crystallized product, but the applicator is convenient for travel. I enjoyed this serum, but the ingredient list is a bit basic. • PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster , at $44.00 per 20mL... I was hesitant to purchase this serum. But I’ve got two back-ups of this serum on the way, if that says anything about how “worth it” it is. It helped reduce the appearance of the sebaceous filaments on my chin, forehead, and the bridge of my nose, plus I experience less irritation from altering my skin routine than I normally would... and I find my skin just feels bouncy after I apply this serum- perhaps an effect of the absolutely stacked INCI list! Whereas the other formulas are bare bones, PC packs in CoQ10, vitamin c, and allantoin, boosting its anti-aging and soothing properties. If you can afford it, I’d give it a try! Its pore-minimizing results alone will keep me repurchasing.

cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin
cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence.  this product is 96% snail mucin 🐌. Snail mucin, it's the slimey little trail the snail leaves behind, and comes from your ordinary garden snail. No snails are harmed when it comes to collecting snail mucin, quite the opposite actually. In order for a snail to be able to produce optimum mucin, it must be well rested and feel comfortable and relaxed in its environment. How cosrx collect their mucin is, they'll be placed on a mesh net in a dark room (they're nocturnal) and are left alone to freely roam the mesh for 30 minutes, then are placed back in their home, the mesh is collected and hey presto! You've got yourself a mesh covered in mucin. The two weeks that I've been using this product, here are my visible results: -Plump and hydrated skin -Existing cystic pimples have dramatically reduced in size - Acne scars seem much less visible -No new breakouts 🎉 The product is thick and slimey in its consistency, clear in appearance and has no noticeable smell. It applies and absorbs effectively and layers well. I use this straight after toning and have no problem layering other serums and moisturisers on top, they all absorb beautifully and no stickiness is left behind. Snail mucin contains ingredients like glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, and glycolic acid. Benefits of using mucin: -Seals in moisture and helps skin heal -Rich in hyaluronic acid and antioxidants -Plumps the skin and smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles -Stimulates collagen production -Fades acne scars and dark spots -Improves skin's texture 🐌 For me, this has been my hero product and has seriously helped improve my problematic skin.

🔍Worth the Hype? Niacinamide Edition✨
🔍Worth the Hype? Niacinamide Edition✨
⭐️ Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, a wonderful ingredient that can benefit the majority of people as a result of its gentle nature. This ingredient is found in plenty of skin care and is a gentle topical treatment for acne and eczema It can be combined with nearly any ingredient in a skin care routine. With the exception of Ascorbic Acid/the pure form of Vitamin C 🍊 ⭐️ BENEFITS: 🤍Skin Barrier: can help your skin grow a ceramide lipid barrier, and promote skin protein repair, which in turn, helps retain moisture 🤍Redness & Blotchiness: reduces inflammation which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions 🤍Minimizes Pore Appearance: keeps skin smooth and moisturized (May over time naturally reduce the size of pores) 🤍Oil Production: regulates amount of oil the sebaceous glands produce, while also helping with moisture retention ***helping your skin hit that perfect moisture level 🤍Sun Damage Protection: reinforces the skin barrier to better protect healthy skin cells from UV ray damage 🤍Hyperpigmentation : 5% niacinamide concentrations can be helpful in lightening dark spots. Benefits were seen after four weeks - two months 🤍Minimizes Fine Lines/Wrinkles: 5% concentration was helpful in reducing some signs of sun damage that come with aging 🤍Acne: especially with inflammatory forms like papules and pustules, you may see fewer lesions and improved skin texture ⭐️Is it worth it? Considering Niacinamide has good research supporting its claims, thousands of positive reviews, and a nonirritating ingredient, then I would definitely recommend trying it. I loved my results after a few months, I am happy to now try the Ordinary. Especially for 6$ a pop (a highly inclusive price range🖤)! ⭐️What About my Sensitive Skin Rarely do people experience allergic reactions to Niacinamide, however, when trying any new product, (particularly active ingredients) concentrations matter ⚠️If you’ve NEVER used Niacinamide as a topical treatment then hitting your skin with a 10% concentration may cause a sudden reaction ‼️This does NOT automatically mean you’re unable to use Niacinamide ⚠️ If you shave your face or have broken skin/sores, avoid using until your next ⚠️ If prone to sensitivity then be weary of how you combine with high concentrations of irritating ingredient (e.g. BHAs) ⭐️Listen to your Skin: Your skin sends good & bad signals to let you know what works, so pay attention! Acclimate your skin to new products & patch test. Introduce serums at low concentrations (e.g. 5%) & find niacinamide in leave on treatments (e.g. toner & moisturizer) ‼️ burning and severe irritation? wash off immediately Other Products to Explore: Benton - Snail Bee High Content Skin (Toner) THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum SOME BY MI - AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner COSRX - Galactomyces Alcohol-Free Toner PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster

A quick review on the @peachan
A quick review on the @peachandlily glass skin refining serum. 🍑✨ - A little about my skin first - it’s oily, acne prone, large visible pores and I have acne scarring as well as some hyperpigmentation. I’ve heard great things about this serum so I had to give it a try! Especially because it seemed like the perfect solution for all my skin issues - I’ve been using this product for a little over two weeks now and have seen such a huge difference on my skin! My breakouts have calmed down and pores are visibly less. Overall I’m seeing a brighter and more even toned face haha! I’m going to continue using it and hope that my skin only looks better! The serum is also super lightweight so it easily absorbs into your skin and gives you nice glow with dewy skin. ✨ - Anyone else tried it and like it? I’m hoping to only see better results! 😊
