night night routine
My night time skin care roitine is a ritual. It's my "It's time to decompress, remove the day and transition to a relaxing evening" time. I start by using my micellar water and baby washcloth and remove me eye and facial make. Then, I wash my face with my Cetaphil face wash. After patting my face dry, I pat on some Revolution Bakuchiol Serum. Then I move on to the Revolution Hyaluronic Acid. After that, I get a drop of Revolution Targeted Under Eye Serum with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid and tap it under my eyes. Then I use Revolution Collagen Skin Firming Solution on my face. After that it's Revolution Niacinamide Blemish Refining and Moisturizing Serum. Then, I moisturize some more with CeraVe PM Ultra Moisturizing Lotion and finish off with a sample of Sunday Riley High Dose Rentinoid Serum. After that, I am finally ready to lay down for the evening and go to bed. Final thought, you probably don't need a complicated skin routine at night. and certainly, have a less complicated one on standby for those nights when you just can barely put one foot in front of the other. As my mom used to say....night, night, don't let the bed bugs bite. GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin I love, love, love this stuff! it's gentle on my skin. It takes off the toughest mascara without irritating my eyes. I use it as a pre cleanser before washing my face. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser While I use this every night, I am only using it until I finish the bottle. I am not crazy about the scent and there is a slight sting on my cheeks when I first lather the product on my skin and I am not fond of that feeling. REVOLUTION - 2% Hyaluronic Acid Serum REVOLUTION - Targeted Under Eye Serum 5% Caffeine REVOLUTION - 15% Niacinamide Serum REVOLUTION - Skin Firming Solution Stabilised Active Collagen Serum I've enjoyed all of the products I purchased from Revolution, they will all be empties. I am going to try The Ordinary next but the price comparison is about the same. DIFFERIN - Dark Spot Correcting Serum I haven't noticed a bit of difference since using this. how long do you have to you this before you notice your spots lightening?SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum
💙 Powerful but Gentle Retinol! 💙
Follow my skincare Instagram @skincare_by_reba for more content! 🥰 💙 Let’s talk 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐬! 💙 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum! SR’s site describes it as an “advanced-strength retinoid serum that delivers a 6.5% solution of stabilized retinoid blends and botanical, retinol-alternative extracts into the skin.” See my IG post for the breakdown of the retinoid blend & other key ingredients! 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I know you’re all probably waiting for me to say I don’t love a SR product, but I’m sorry...𝘐 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰 🥰 after using a Pixi retinol serum for a couple months and then switching to Luna (see my review in an earlier post!), I finally added this higher percentage of retinol to my routine in September. I think it was a HUGE contributor to the amazing results I saw in just over 2 weeks after switching to an almost entirely SR routine (scroll way back in my feed to see my before/after for that!). Every morning after I use this I wake up to super soft, even-toned skin. If you’re new to a higher dose retinoid, try layering a hydrating oil first for a more gentle experience with A+. Start with two nights on, two nights off and build from there. Once your skin has adjusted, you can use A+ nightly (if desired), and I like to layer Luna on top for a bonus dose of retinol goodness! This serum, like all SR products, plays very well with others in the line. I layer A+, Luna, and Good Genes on many nights and have never had an issue! Of course, I have very tolerant skin so make sure you do what works best for 𝘺𝘰𝘶! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: The price is steep with this one, as it is with a lot of high-quality products. It’s $85/1oz or $122/1.7oz. I just finished up my 1oz bottle that I bought in mid-September, so it lasted me about 3.5 months with usage of 4-5 nights/week. I’ve cut back on that recently as I’m trying to rotate more products into my evening routine (like Vitamin C), and I used a solid 1.5-2 pumps with every use. If you just use 1 pump and less frequently, it’ll last you way longer! I just received my 1.7oz (just in time!) which I bought in the Power of Three kit — great savings that way on 3 serums I use all the time! 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘭?
Can I still use oils with large pores?
Hi! I have majorly prioritized my skin care since beginning of COVID. Mostly with products from FabFitFun and my esthetician. Lots of improvements, but still have large pores. Any suggestions? For dehydrated skin - Luxury | Not a need
I was so drawn towards the packaging and details of this Aloe and Tea tree toner by @terremere Terre mère - Aloe and Tea Tree Toner ✨ This oner has the most luxe packaging. The bottle is ceramic and feels really heavy! However if you come acorss this one online I used it for months and have thoughts about it! For the price 54$ for a toner that has Aloe vera as first ingredient is a bit pricey in my opinion. Their claims of this toner working towards dehydrated skin with Aloe vera juice and Tea tree oil's anti oxidant and anti microbial properties helping your skin fight acne and free radicals are true. But with the ingredients list and consumer perspective this toner could be a little on affordable side. I believe the price comes for the luxe packaging it has! The ingredients list is pretty minimal compared to some toners on the market however the first two ingredients is what makes the most of the product and it has Aloe juice as first and Vegetable glycerin as the second ingredient. This also has willow bark extract which is basically Salicylic acid (BHA) but it's low on the list so the concentration of this may not be enough. It has MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) - Organo Sulfur compound (Pure organic Sulfur) that helps with adding sulfur amount in your body "MSM is necessary to both collagen and keratin, where it can help to keep the skin smooth and youthful, and the hair glossy and lustrous. ... In nutrition circles MSM is well known as a building block for collagen and connective tissues, making it an excellent approach to anti-aging skin care." - Ingredients to die for MSM in this toner is given as second last ingredient and I don't think it's bad thing as the amount of sulfur needed in skincare is not a high amount. Overall, ✨My experience - -This is a watery toner, a colorless water solution that has thin, (almost like water) consistency. -Like all other watery toners this absorbs pretty quickly and is easy to layer multiple times on skin. -Doesn't dry out meaning it does leave a little shine and a layer of hydration on skin (mostly because of Aloe Vera and Glycerin) -Has a little organic smell nothing overwhelming or synthetic -A great toner to add in your regimen but isn't necessary -With little to no Active ingredients, there are no visible changes to skin ( This is unrelated to small changes occuring that are hard to be seen with our eyes) I feel like this toner is a luxury skincare item that feels good to keep in your collection but is not necessary. There are better affordable options with the same ingredients and for dehydrated skin. If it was not for 54$ I might purchase it again but for my hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation issues this toner isn't the best!

Differin Update - IT WORKS!!
Differin update!! These are no makeup pictures! The ones on the left are from the beginning of December 2020, before starting differin. The pictures on the right are today Feb 4th 2021. I am in my 5th week of using Differin. I am so excited about the improvement in my skin I could cry! I will definitely continue to use in order to improve my skins texture and reduce the scars that are left. I will list my am and pm routines below while on differin gel. AM routine 1. Wash face with water 2. NATURIUM - Vitamin C Complex Serum this is a nice lightweight serum! I am not sure if I have seen a dramatic difference in my skin but it does make my skin look glowy! 3. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer the perfect day time moisturizer for my dry skin. It feels very simple and soothing. 4. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 5. A few mornings a week, especially if I am at clinical or work wearing a mask all day I will tone with PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator it is non drying and helps unclog my pores and keep maskne at bay! PM routine with Differin 1. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm THE best cleansing balm IMO! 2. GLYTONE - Acne BPO Clearing Cleanser this is a great gentle cleanser that fights acne. Has been working great for me! 3. NATURIUM - Alpha Arbutin Serum 2% NATURIUM - BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% NATURIUM - Plant Ceramide Rich Moisture Cream

How many masks are too many...?
I used to love masking! I’d do at least 1 to 2 a week. Now I’ve gotten lazy and just don’t do them and I have so many I need to start using before they expire! For me, I feel having an exfoliating mask and a hydrating mask is all you need. Unless your using the product consistently you’re not going to see changes. Masks are great for plumping up the skin, adding hydration and even a soft glow. But of all the masks I’ve used I’ve never found long term effects from them (except exfoliating). One way I like to use them is right before a big night (or day) out. To give my skin that added boost. Some that are great for doing so are: FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask (use as a 10 min mask) SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask And many others that help brighten and hydrate! I will also not go without my exfoliating masks which I do once a week. Some faves are: PAULA'S CHOICE - 25% AHA + 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Yerba Mate Resurfacing Energy Facial The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial And a few others I have that I liked to use; BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Tea Tree Detox Mask ELEMIS - Superfood Vital Veggie Mask bliss - Mighty Marshmallow Mask Unfortunately as I said, I just don’t mask as often as I used to. And I feel it isn’t necessary. If you like to then I suggest you get yourself an exfoliating and moisturizing/hydrating mask and you should be good to go. Treatments are where you want to really zone in and specialize your finances for. Is it Friday yet? Ugh! I’ve been down all week with a neck I cannot turn - ouchie! And a migraine on top of that! I’m ready to knock my dogs out cause they are wanting out every half hour (it’s nice here ⛅️) Much ❤️ my skinnies 🍒
Skin Update ✨✨
Okay this is a totally non filtered sun photo of my skin. Still working on minor texture this is due to my new skin routine (I posted about my morning and will post my night). I try and show my skin with new routines and products I use because I get so many ! The number one thing I will say is be consistent! I saw a post from @MelaninSkinCareAddict(great post you should go check it out) and I loved it and it inspired me to show results from some advice she saw. My last skin update was 12/22 which I showed a unfiltered close up of my skin and the breakout I had endure out of the states! I will say for texture, hyperpigmentation, and acne you need: effective vitamin C serum- should have vitamin E (tocopherol), hyaluronic acid, and Ferulic acid insta natural - Vitamin C Serum Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum retinol- DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel is my first go to, but now I use The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask (I use this on nights I don’t use The Ordinary retinol oil .. 2xs a week) cleanser made for you skin: should be tailored and effective my current faves: Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (2x week) COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (only when I oil cleanse) (3xs a weeks when I wear my night mask) PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser (mostly for nights) toner: a great toner will be your friend! This is important for removing dirts and oils. If you wear makeup this is a necessity. PAULA'S CHOICE - Enriched Calming Toner Murad - Clarifying Toner innisfree - Jeju Lava Seawater Lotion sunscreen: at least spf30 TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 ELEMIS - Daily Defence Shield SPF30 moisturizer: a great moisturizer is your friend! So my faves fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer at night SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream during the day for hyperpigmentation before sunscreen ✨✨✨✨ Other things I love that have helped COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence I use this day and night after my toner. If you neee hydration this is my current go to! SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Acne Treatment Face Oil I now use this on days I don’t use my vitamin C in the morning. PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum This has replaced my niacinamide from The Ordinary. If you want glass skin use this consistently! CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask I use this as my daily face mask once a week. I will be posting my detailed night routine soon as I’m redoing my entire on IG 🥰🥰

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
Thee Best Makeup Remover EVER!!!!!!
This cleansing balm will make you second guess any makeup wipe you’ve ever bought! My favorite makeup wipes are the dupe for the POND'S - Original Fresh Moisture Clean Towelettes from Target , which I still absolutely love! Because these wipes rids EVERYTHING!! But if I don’t have those I’ll settle for POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser which is also a favorite!! I keep a tub in every room of my house & one in my purse NO LIE! & it definitely does what it’s supposed to do HOWEVER...... I’ve come across a company that it this close 👌🏾 to making me their number stalker fan. Yes, stalker fan. BANILA CO. One of my good Cherie sistas put me on to this grand brand & when I say they’ve taken all my moneys, they’ve taken all of my moneys. I’ve started out buying the kit which had all the sample sizes, but my skin is greedy & it needed more! For all my lash wearers, you guys know how it is when you still have that piece of glue stuck on your lashes that’s so stubborn it doesn’t want to move.... 🙄😒 THIS BALM WILL ELIMINATE THAT GLUE EXPEDITIOUSLY!!! I am not kidding! Both of those products I’ve listed above I’ve used for YEARS! And neither has successfully gotten lash glue off within one wipe, or one wash! This cleansing balm did! I almost wanted to put some more makeup on just to use it again to wipe it off! This stuff is pure magic!!!!!!!!!! BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original
July 2020 Empties
Here are the products I’ve finished in the month of July. I have a small review about each product down below along with an emoji indicating whether I plan to repurchase or not. If you guys have any additional questions about any of the products, feel free to ask them in the comments. 👍 - will repurchase 🤔 - liked but not sure about repurchasing 👎 - won’t repurchase ▶️ KEEP COOL - Soothe lotion - lightweight emulsion type moisturizer that performs like a creamy serum to keep the skin adequately moisturized and hydrated. 👍 ▶️ ISNtree - Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream - gel cream moisturizer formulated with 5 different types of hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate the skin. One of the best gel cream I’ve ever tried. 👍 ▶️ ISNtree - Hyaluronic Acid Toner - slightly viscous toner with 3 different types of hyaluronic acid to hydrate and balance the skin. Basic no frills toner that plumps the skin. 🤔 ▶️ ISNtree - C-Niacin Toning Ampoule - skin brightening treatment that uses 69% sea buckthorn fruit extracts and 2% niacinamide. Great alternative for those who can’t tolerate traditional vitamin c serums. 🤔 ▶️ Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol -lightweight serum that uses 76.49% green tea leaf water and 2% panthenol to hydrate and the soothe the skin. Performed really well for my skin by reducing redness and irritations. 👍 ▶️ @nichebeautylab purifying gel cleanser* - daily treatment gel cleanser that helps to regulate skin oiliness, reduce sebum production, and cleanse pores. Contains salicylic acid and willow bark extract. Wasn’t drying on the skin. 🤔 ▶️ íUNIK - Black Snail Restore Serum - snail mucin based serum that claims to help with skin brightening, skin soothing, reduction of signs of premature aging, and increased cell regeneration. Lackluster results for my liking. Essentially just a good hydrating serum. 🤔 ▶️ TROIAREUKE - AGT Hydro Essence Moisturizing Gel - viscous gel type essence that’s adheres very well to skin to condition and provide hydration. Didn’t work out well for me. Caused itching and irritations after prolonged use. 👎 ▶️ TROIAREUKE - Acsen UV Protector Essence -my top favorite sunscreen for oily skin types. Can’t recommend much since it’s kinda pricy. I’ve posted a full review of this already so feel free to check it out. 👍 ▶️ THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm - affordable cleansing balm with colloidal oats and oat kernel oil to provide a nourishing and thorough cleanse to remove oil based impurities. It just works. 👍 ▶️ Dr.Althea - Resveratrol 345NA_Intensive Repair Cream repairitive cream with a gel cream like texture. Contains resveratrol and a ton of botanicals to help nourish, brighten, soothe, and heal the skin. 👍 ▶️ I'm from - Mugwort Essence - essence containing 100% fermented korean mugwort to hydrating and soothe inflamed, sensitive, and reactive skin. Skin benefits are shown gradually overtime with consistent use. 👍 ▶️ LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask - watery gel sleeping mask to keep the under eye area hydrated and plump overnight. A nice but unnecessary product. Didn’t really do much for eye area. Too fragranced for my liking. 👎 ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea - two in one cleanser in a stick form that can easily cleanse the skin of both oil and water based impurities. Doesn’t strip the skin. Contains green tea and 13 botanical oils. 🤔 ▶️ THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum - a gentle retinol serum containing retistar which is a combination of multiple actives. Helped with controlling my acne breakouts. Didn’t irritate or dry my skin out. 🤔 ▶️ KEEP COOL - Soothe Bamboo Sun Essence SPF50+ - lightweight sun essence that contains 40% bamboo water to keep the skin hydrated and soothed. Became a favorite of mines fairly quick. Already repurchased. 👍 ▶️ TROIAREUKE - Skin Complex Formula Facial Toner Spray - lightweight watery toner mist that contains a ton of botanicals to provide strong antioxidant benefits to the skin. Not sure it did much for me other than kept my skin hydrated. Didn’t irritate or break me out. 🤔
Nice but unnecessary
Have you ever bought a product just because of how pretty the packaging was? And that you convinced yourself that you really needed it? Well, for me, that was the LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask . This is a leave-on eye mask that claims to deeply hydrate and de-puff tired looking eyes. It contains key ingredients such as caffeine, beta-glucan, saccharomyces cerevisiae extract, ascorbyl glucoside, adenosine, and a couple botanical extracts. This has a lightweight gel texture that immediately hydrates the under eyes. It dries down beautifully to a skin finish that just wraps the area in a moisture veil. Upon application, you can instantly feel a cooling sensation thanks to the ceramic ball applicator. Now, I don’t usually use eye products because I don’t ever find them necessary. I tend to just bring my moisturizer up to my orbital bone under my eyes to hydrate and moisturize that area. I really only purchased this product for it’s beautiful glass packaging and it’s ceramic ball applicator. That applicator feels so nice under the eyes and it does look as if my eyes are instantly de-puffed. The mask itself is quite hydrating and my eyes do look smooth and plump every morning when I do use it. I’ve had this product for about 8 months now and I tried to be as consistent as possible with using it. I just found myself not reaching for it as much. This does contain fragrance and has a similar scent to their water sleeping mask which I don’t mind since I quite enjoy it. Fortunately, it hasn’t irritated my eye area. I feel very meh towards this eye mask but still enjoy using it from time to time. Overall, it’s a lovely eye mask to help keep your eyes hydrated overnight but it just didn’t feel necessary for me. It’s a nice product to have around but not a staple in any of my routines and therefore I won’t be repurchasing once I’ve completely finished it. If you do purchase this, you’ll get your moneys worth since it’ll last you a while because you get 25ml and a little goes a long way with this. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Rating: 3/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #Laneige
I don't use bodywashes anymore!
I love these bodywash infused buffers by @spongelle ✨❤️ Easy, comfortable, mess free and the best smelling!! All you need to do is, wet your body, wet this a little and start scrubbing your skin, gently. The infused bodywash lathers with rubbing and cleanses skin well. I cannot stress enough on their fragrance choices, so many for such affordable price! These are my current favorites. I don't use conventional body washes often anymore, with these I get to exfoliate my skin while the bodywash cleanses skin. They come in so many options like the foot scrubber ones, for Men, different sizes and different fragrance. For me, fragrance in my bodycare is a therapy. Especially in my cleansing routine. These last so long and make your bathroom smell amazing. Do you love such buffers? ✨🌸♡ Rite Aid find! ♡🌸✨
This really caught my eye because of the ingredients. Lactic Acid: exfoliate Squalane: hydrating and promotes microbiome diversity without clogging pores Rosehip seed oil, Vitamin-E & Coenzyme Q10: antioxidants that help heal and fight free radical damage Jojoba oil: various healing properties Glycolic Acid: AHA exfoliate Salicylic acid: decrease chance of breakouts and increase blemish healing Along with a bunch of plant extracts 🪴🤗 ♡1st Impression♡ Application was very smooth, it did not take much to get the coverage in that photo! I felt tingling less than a minute into application. I only left it on for 8 minutes and felt it was too long!! I do have pretty "virgin" skin and can become sensitized very easily. This was very easy to wash off which was nice because I kinda wanted it off my face ASAP 😖 My face was very red and hot as seen in the photo posted. Since I was getting ready for bed, I applyed essano - Certified Rosehip Oil Krave - Great Barrier Relief & Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream and woke up with nice, calm and hydrated skin!! ♡Overall Thoughts♡ I will only be using this once a week at most!! Hopefully my skin reacts better overtime, or it's supposed to react like that and I'll see some skin texture improvement and a brighter complexion in a few weeks! Please comment some mask recommendations!♡✨🌸
✨🌸 What's in my bathroom? 🌸✨
Hey everyone! This is my first post! 🥰 I decided to start off with this kind of post because this batch of skincare is my first ever! (I have only been consciously aware of my skincare for about two months now) So I'm always reevaluating my routine 😅 My skin type: combination;mostly dry but specifically oily in the creases of my nose. Prone to sensitivity, redness, and dehydration. Lets talk products! ♡CLEANSERS♡ Dr.Ceuracle - Pro Balance Pure Cleansing Oil Love this gentle oil cleanser! I only occasionally wear mascara(not waterproof) and it takes that off no problem with zero eye irritation! ANDALOU NATURALS - CannaCell Cleansing Foam Amazing, gentle, pure foam cleanser! Does not feel drying or make my skin tight after use, even without my oil cleanser! Pyunkang Yul - Low pH Pore Deep Cleansing Foam I have only used this about 3 times; each time after use I seem to get slight irritation, but doesn't last longer than 10-15 minutes or the rest of my products calm it down. ♡TONERS♡ pixi - Rose Tonic I love the rose smell(natural fragrance) and it can be a bit sticky after applying but doesn't bother me. pixi - Vitamin-C Tonic I feel like this toner is a great introduction to Vit C in skincare. I have "virgin" skin so this even tingles a little, but zero irritation even when I do 2-3 layers. COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Very hydrating exfoliating toner and it leaves my skin so soft. This does not irritate my sensitive skin at all!(I only use 1-2 times a week) Pyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Honestly underwhelmed for the hype I heard about it. Still giving it a chance. Fleur & Bee - Rose and Shine / Natural Rose Water Toner Just a convenient hydrating mist. ♡SERUMS/OILS♡ Pyunkang Yul - Pyunkang Yul Moisture Serum Very nice to apply, great for layering Krave - Great Barrier Relief 100% WORTH THE HYPE essano - Certified Rosehip Oil I can't rate this yet(only used once so far) but overall first application was soothing! ♡MOISTURIZERS♡ Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Personally not hydrating enough alone for my dry skin, but a great base cream for me to layer with others due to the clean ingredients list. Pyunkang Yul - Pyunkang Yul Moisture Cream Great cream; however, the lid does have some black flakes of something that fall into the product when screwing it on and off. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Mediocre gel cream, not hydrating enough for me and the ingredients aren't the greatest. ANDALOU NATURALS - Luminous Night Cream Purple Carrot + C I love the thickness of this, but sometimes I wake in the morning with a weird tight flilmy feeling on my face. #Murad - Age Reform Perfecting Night Cream[products]# Honestly just bought this because it was on clearance😅 so we'll see how it goes Up next: my first detox mask, my sunscreens and a natural deodorant! ♡🌸✨
If you have dry skin try this oil!
Who doesn't like a good cold pressed light weight facial oil for days when your situational skin type is dry, flaky and sensitive!! 🌟 I've a great pick for you if you want to try this beautiful Strawberry booster by @bybibeauty 🍓🍓🍓 This is a 100% cold pressed Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) BYBI - STRAWBERRY BOOSTER Seed Oil. There is no other ingredient apart from this one! How amazing is that?? 💕😍 Also this baby is an affordable facial oil option for you if you have dry, sensitive skin during your breakouts and inflammation. I loved this oil to tame down the inflammation and redness on my face because of hormonal acne. 🌟Product highlights: Strawberry Seed Oil is super rich in Omega-6 and Omega-3 essential fatty acids, and a rich source of ellagic acid, making it perfect for soothing, nourishing and hydrating really dry, dehydrated or irritated skin. It’s extremely light in texture and fast-spreading so glides on smooth and absorbs almost instantly. As if you needed another reason to love this oil… it’s made from cold-pressed seeds that are waste product from the juicing industry, so extra points for sustainability! On their website you'll find @hudabeauty talked about how you can use this light weight cold pressed oil to mix with your favorite foundation and moisturizer! Perfect oil in my opinion! I got this oil in my @glossybox_us February box! 🌟
Sharing my current obsessions! It’s not that often that a brand comes along that really impresses you not only for its quality but also it’s price. goodmolecules. Being good I have just added two products first to routine. The Niacinamide Brightening Toner and Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The Niacinamide Toner sports a lovely array of ingredients and it’s a very short list which a love. Key ones to note are Niacinamide (obviously) Vitamin C, Arbutin (natural skin brightener from the bearberry plant) and Licorice Root. The product is quite thick and has no smell. I use this after my thinner toners and pat it in before my serums (yes I do use more than one toner all the time). Lately my skin has been looking very calm and maybe a bit more even, I feel the products feature here have had a bit to do with it. The Hyaluronic Acid Serum is basic but lovely, what I love most is it doesn’t stay sticky like some other hydrating serums! I have used over a third already! Another amazing thing about goodmolecules is it is made in Korea. If anyone has delved into Korean skincare will recognise the beneficial ingredients. Already shared my love for farmacy Honey Grail, but it truely nourishes my skin. The bybi Strawberry Booster mixes so well with the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. So a bit of mix bag of affordable and mid-mid high products. The industry really has something for everyone.

My Morning Routine
I haven’t shared a routine for awhile and I’m constantly testing new products out so I wanted to give you a peek into what my typical morning routine looks like these days. I start off with a very small gentle wash with fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo I received this a long while ago and Fresh is a very popular brand. Unfortunately they are highly fragranced so I never rushed to try this out. I was going to re-gift it but in the end decided to give it a try. It has a light cucumber scent and is very easy to work with. I don’t wear makeup (these days) so I’m not sure how easy it is to remove. I don’t mind it but will not be purchasing any Fresh products. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator next I exfoliate every other day with this. I’m a huge fan of hydration products and depending on my mood, and my skins mood, will go in with 2-4 products at this point (essences and hydrating toners). I like to use products versus water to lock in hydration. First I apply with my hands I'm from - Rice Toner and while still damp, (THIS IS IMPORTANT) I add 2-3 drops off GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum I am really liking this HA serum and only took a ⭐️ away for added fragrance. Next is my treatment step which in the am is Vitamin c. CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution is said to be 62x’s more effective than vitamin c so I like to trade off using this and any other vitamin c serums I have. I just recently added PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Boosteras at my age I really want to prevent those wrinkles and stop any signs of aging I can! PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Restoring Moisturizer With SPF 50 is the final step. I like having a moisturizer and SPF in one. I like this as my mind is immediately taken to the beach. It has that lovely scent that reminds me of my youth. Upon first application it left a slight white cast that quickly went away and I couldn’t tell I was wearing any sunscreen at all. No heavy, tacky, greasy feeling. There you have it! If you are not a twice a day cleanser and just use water in the am this routine could be simplified even a few more steps. You could skip the rice toner and just use water to dampen before adding HA. Also just using one vitamin c. This would leave you with four steps. I personally like to do a light cleanse in the am as I’m using retinol and heavy moisturizers at night and want to wash them away before coming in with any new products. Otherwise I feel like I am just layering my am products on top of my previous pm ones. Hope my skinnies are staying healthy both mentally and physically. Keep wearing your masks and let’s keep everyone healthy and safe! ❤️🍒😷
I made it through a few products this month. VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo N°7 - Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream flamingo - flamingo Daily Moisturizing Lotion e.l.f. - Keep Your Balance Toner TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum fresh - Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Face Serum PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Empties are bittersweet. These are a few of my favorites. Have you tried any of these? #cheriecreatoe #whoisnee

My acne journey snapshot
Hi! So I have had extreme cystic acne for around 3 years with flare ups every once and awhile. But ring now I am getting some control with my skin, the pandemic has been the worst time for my skin so i contacted a dermatologist and went on antibiotics and prescriptions, and it seems to be working! Right now it seems the important thing is to get rid of acne scars and sunscreen as always? Please comment any recommendations.
FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya was dropped almost a full year ago. My first impressions were high. I thought this was a hit and would be a great choice for any skin type. I’ve finished the jar and can say that is no longer my belief. WHAT IS IT? Daily Greens is an oil-free + silicone free lightweight gel that contains a blend of hyaluronic acid and phytonutrients (chemicals found in plants). • Paraben Free • Phthalate Free • Mineral Oil Free • Cruelty Free SPECIAL INGREDIENTS: Moringa Seed Extract + Moringa Water - purify and refresh Papaya Extract - provides gentle exfoliation Hyaluronic Acid (4 Types) + Polyglutamic Acid - powerful hydration Kale, Cucumber + Eucalyptus - superfoods to nourish Willow Herb + Niacinamide - reduce oil production and minimize appearance of pores SKIN TYPE: Normal, Combination, Oily - (I’D SAY OILY & COMBO) HOW TO USE: Use both am and pm as last step in skincare routine PRICE: $38 1.7 oz Enter code: KATHERINE20 at checkout and save 20% each time you shop! (Support $ save w/my beauty @blendedbeautyblurbs) MY EXPERIENCE: As I said, at first I thought I really was going to like this gel-like moisturizer. I’m a normal skin girl and typically can get along with any moisturizer. Unfortunately this left my face “feeling tacky”, I could just FEEL it on my skin and I didn’t like it. To the touch it wasn’t but it still felt that way. I tried a smaller amount and would get the same results. It worked fine with makeup I personally just didn’t like the feel of it. I don’t quite understand why but I think my face just didn’t care for this texture. I’ve used this type of moisturizer before - SUNDAY RILEY - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is a wonderful one I enjoyed and had no issues with. From my research and reading reviews I feel this would be a great moisturizer for those with oily skin as it has been a clear hit for them. I think if you have dry skin this isn’t going to provide you the moisture you like, even though it’s got four types of HA. I personally love a rich, hydrating cream. Farmacy has a great range of moisturizers to choose from and I’ve been able to try them all: FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer - a good option for all skin types but may not be rich enough for those looking for a deep moisturize FARMACY - Better Daze Ahead CBD Moisturizer - perfect for all skin types. One of my faves FARMACY - Honey Halo Ultra-hydrating Ceramide Moisturizer - for normal to dry. Dry skin lovers dream! * I have a review of all the moisturizers on my page except Honey Halo which is to come soon. What’s your FAVORITE moisturizer? Which one do you repurchase time and time again? I’ve got several more moisturizer reviews coming your way! Stay tuned 👀 Much ❤️ my 🍒 skinnies
Underrated Ingredient in skincare Part 1 : Panth
Panthenol is one of those ingredients you don't hear often like Niacinamide or AHAs and BHAs. Or even close, Hyaluronic acid. If you go through products you use in your daily life you'll find Panthenol (Vitamin B5) in many of them. ✨What is Panthenol? Panthenol is Alcohol analog of Pantothenic acid hence a provitamin of Vitamin B5. It's derived organically from plants and animals. Panthenol takes the form of either a white powder or a transparent oil at room temperature. You will sometimes see panthenol listed under one of its other names on ingredients list, including: -dexpanthenol -D-pantothenyl alcohol -butanamide -alcohol analog of pantothenic acid -provitamin B-5 When absorbed into the body, panthenol becomes vitamin B-5. Panthenol is found in our body already so it has so many other benefits when taken internally or applied topically. ✨What does it do? Panthenol AKA vitamin B5 is known as a humectant meaning it draws moisture from your surroundings into your skin and trapping it to increase moisture level when applied topically. It's also an emollient, a moisturizing agent that soothes and softens skin which is why it's added in many moisturizers and creams. It's an amazing ingredient when it comes to skincare, it shows other properties too such as anti-inflammatory. It can help improve skin’s hydration, elasticity, and smooth appearance. It also soothes: red skin, inflammation, little cuts or sores like bug bites or shaving irritation. Panthenol helps with wound healing, as well as other skin irritations like eczema. It's also benefitial for Hair and nails to make them strong, shiny and soft. ✨Is it safe? Both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Commission on Cosmetic Ingredients have approved panthenol for use in cosmetics. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) classifies panthenol as “possibly safe” for general topical applications and nasal sprays. And it’s listed as “likely safe” for topical use by children. ✨Bottom outtake: Panthenol is a star ingredient for cosmetic formulators and chemists but it's not widely known. It's a great humectant so if you Pair it with Hyaluronic acid or Glycerin it works the best! This is why @theordinary Hyaluronic acid serum The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 has Vitamin B5 added to it's formulation of Hyaluronic acid product. Also the @innisfree Panthenol 10 Toner innisfree - Truecare Panthenol 10 Moisture Skin is an amazing toner to start your morning and nighttime routine with! I found @tonymoly Vita Moisture Ampoule TONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Ampoule Moisture also has Vitamin B8 (Biotin) along with humectants like Hyaluronic acid. I really like Vitamin B5 in my skincare regimen, it's as good as Hyaluronic acid or the best when paired with it!L'ORÉAL - Hydra Fresh Toner Do you like Panthenol? Should we give products a second chance?
Do your products don't seem to work? Do you stop using them and then later after few weeks give them a second chance? Do some products work at all for you? When is too soon to know certain product isn't working? I dealt with these questions for months before finally able to answer them. I am a skincare ingredients learner, I am studying ingredients, skin science and skincare products formulation for more than a year and everyday I learn something new. The products I'm talking about and shown in picture are the ones that didn't work for me in the first run. I stopped using them and I realized I like the ingredients, like the formula, I know certain ingredients show result on my skin then why isn't these working? So, I gave these a second chance and Vola! I actually liked them! And not only liked, some of them quite actually worked amazing in giving me good results! These products may not be the exact same ones that need second chance from you but I believe if you have similar skin like me, this will be helpful. 1. Tonymoly AmpoulesTONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Poresole Ampoule TONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Brightening Ampoule TONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Synergy Ampoule TONYMOLY - Vital Vita 12 Ampoule Moisture I love ampoules. They are more potent form of serums that are packed with ingredients which penetrate deep in skin and work their magic. But for some reason I did not like these ampoules from Tonymoly. They didn't do a thing for my skin. After weeks, I incorporated them again in my routine but with different moisturizer, sunscreens and toners and they started to feel better. I still didn't see ground breaking results from these yet but I really enjoy the formula of these amouples. It's lightweight, watery consistency that absorb quickly and doesn't feel sticky at all. I like to use these in the morning. 🌟 2. The ordinary RetinolsThe Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% in Squalane The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum Retinol is my go-to after Niacinamide. I love the results they give. The ordinary's Retinol in squalane oil was a big No for me. It was too heavy for my liking and didn't work. Then I gave it a second chance and used it along with Niacinamide serum in my routine. Of course it's oil so it goes at the very last in your night time skincare routine and it's actually great! It is very gentle, you will have to use it for 2-3 weeks atleast to see any results. Granactive Retinoid emulsion is my most favorite formula. It not only works amazing in just one use but the milky texture gets absorbes very quickly and feels amazing. My skin feels super soft and less textured the next morning. ( I have oily, Textured skin so I really like results of products that reduce that) 3. Centella Asiatica PureHeals - Centella 90 Ampoule If you're Acne prone or have sensitive skin in general, this ingredient must have been hyped a lot about in your social life. It's actually an amazing ingredient that works amazing in reducing redness and inflammation. It's calming soothing as well as hydrating. So what went wrong? It irritated my skin. It started to burn and itch a bit and I didn't feel it calming at all. Then I used it in less amount. Just three drops for entire face and I liked it! It works better if you consistently use it for 3-4 weeks. 4. Fourthray beauty Reveal. Fourth Ray - Reveal 10% Alpha Hydroxy Acid Serum It's an interesting one. I love AHAs. This was the first product that had both Glycolic acid and Lactic acid so it was quite harsh at first when i started to use. But, later when my skin could actually handle AHA and their high potency I started using this again. I loved it! It worked amazing. It gave well known AHA results, skin felt smoother and it reduced texture and hyperpigmentation. 5. Fleur and bee Fleur & Bee - Nectar of the C / Natural Vitamin C Serum This serum is supposed to work slowly so my bad that i felt it did not work at all. It does work if you use it for weeks. Simple as that. Some products do take time than others, this is one of them. I like the feel and tecture of this Vitamin C serum It's an affordable option for anyone who wants a good Vitamin C serum. Let me know do you give your products a second chance? ❤️
(They changed the packaging from glass bottle to tube, look out for that) Finished this Vitamin C Ester Citrus Brightening Cleanser by @perriconemd Perricone MD - Vitamin C Ester Citrus Brightening Cleanser and I'm so happy to have found it! ❤️ It's a little pricey at 35$ for 6 fl/oz but I think you can keep it as a one time cleanser meaning you can use this only in the morning and this will last that way for a little longer! I have combination skin type, however in Summer I lean more towards Combination to Oily. And the best part is this cleanser is best suitable for Combination to Oily skin types only! Being Acne prone and having active hormonal breakouts alter a lot of my cleanser choices. I generally go for mild, gel or milky cleansers that won't strip my face down. This one just won the game for me! I love Vitamin C in my daytime routine and I was looking for a cleanser that has Vitamin C in it just to amplify the use of it. This cleanser is light yellow colored gel that just cleanses face so well without forming a lot of foam and doesn't strip skin down at all! 🍋Look at the Ingredients call out: Copper Complex: Helps visibly improve firmness and elasticity by hydrating and energizing skin. DMAE: Visibly lifts sagging skin and is easily and quickly absorbed. Vitamin C Ester: A more potent, highly stable, and less abrasive form of antioxidant-rich vitamin C. If you have Acne, hyperpigmentation or uneven texture and tone I'd recommend incorporating Vitamin C (L ascorbic acid) in your routine and if I have the chance to add up a little more in my cleanser, I'd be happy. Overall this cleanser is amazing, I felt my skin to be glowing after every wash and it slightly gave that firm skin effect. Also it was brightening my skin tone. I will repurchase this soon!

Mini brand review ✨ Glow Recipe 🍉
Yay for bringing back mini brand reviews! 🥰 This is where I do a couple sentences on every product I’ve tried from a brand. If you have any questions or want an in depth review on a product comment below! GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask - I love this! Creamy formula melts into the skin without being too heavy. Very hydrating but I would only use 2-3x a night. Good beginner retinol. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask- They don’t make this anymore but I did like it! A hydrogel sheet mask that felt resfreshing on the skin. I didn’t see many benefits though. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask - The texture is not for everyone but I like it! It’s a little goopy but it does absorb into the skin once worked in. It smells like watermelon jolly ranchers. I would say oily skin only and only she 2-3x a week but I loved the mild exfoliation. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer - I love this for oily skin! Smells like the sleeping mask but not as strong. Adds a lot of hydration without feeling heavy or sticky. GLOW RECIPE - Limited Edition Lip Pop Duo - I feel like it’s overpriced for what it is but if you’re interested it’s a nice product. It has a waxy feel but it’s very lightweight and nourishing. Both smell AMAZING!! Has mild exfoliation that doesn’t stay long on the lips and a really pretty natural tint. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops - Again, over priced for what it is but I still like it. The serum feels amazing on the skin and gives all the benefits on niacinamide. Smells like watermelon but it’s a lot fainter than their other products. It doesn’t give a “glow” like they claim though. It’s more a “dolphin” skin effect that doesn’t last long. I would not use over make up though as it has your typical serum consistency.
Lightweight but Hydrating! Make you glow✨
I have been devoted to this wonderful GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer for the last 10 days and I have nothing but great things to say about it. #friyayfaves This was not the first @glowrecipe product I’ve tried and featured in my page. In fact, before trying this, I was very much in love with the Watermelon Glow Toner. #hereweglow Just like the toner, this moisturizer smells delicious and fresh. It is made up of 90% watermelon juice, that is packed with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties; and other ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, jasmine and peony extract. It has a beautiful glass packaging that comes with a pump. The texture is a very lightweight gel that is pink in color. It is silky, smooth and a little bit runny unlike traditional moisturizers. Once applied, it has a cooling, refreshing effect and makes my skin so soft and glowing. It is fast-absorbing and fairly moisturizing, even for my dry skin (note that I also use essences and serums in my routine). I also have sensitive, acne prone skin, but it did not irritate my skin or clogged up my pores. I used 2-3 pumps during the daytime, and at night I supplement it with a sleeping mask (for extra hydration on colder nights). Because it is non-sticky and applies very nicely, it can also serve as a primer. I’ve tried it under makeup a few times (just to test it out) and it makes my skin so healthy looking. I really enjoy this moisturizer and I think it will be good for all skin types.

One Year Progress
Exactly one year apart! I started my skincare journey 9 months ago. I primarily use Glow Recipe, but am slowly venturing out and replacing my lesser favorites of their products. These are some of my tips and holy grails! GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream holy crap this stuff really helped my redness, that was my biggest skin concern 2-3 times a week I do a chemical and physical exfoliant, I got this one in a boxy charm box and fell in love. I would recommend doing this in the shower and leaving it on your face for a couple minutes to really absorb the acids. Also I would recommend skipping the serums and night masks after this. Just use toner, eye cream, and moisturizer. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I mix a vitamin C serum in with my AHA every other morning. I’m undwerwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Pineapple-C Bright Serum I don’t hate it, but I think I can find better once I run out. However I love their GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum it is gentle enough (for my skin) to use every morning and night, and one pump is all you need! double cleansing is a must! I’ll just use the tiniest bit of GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm even when I’m not wearing makeup because it has a lot of good ingredients for your skin. However if your skin is feeling dry, I’d skip it and just use a water based cleanser. I am also underwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser I’m going to use it for before and after my workouts, but not worth the price point. Plus it is irritating if it gets in your eyes. I just ordered FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papayafor my morning and night cleanser and I am beyond excited to try it. a nice spray is a must! I use it after I cleanse and after I shower. J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray this stuff is soo good!! My face is so soft after I have to force myself not to touch it. I loved GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist but I got to say I like the Heritage one and it is wayy cheaper. don’t be afraid of supplements! I just got some vitamin E supplements and I’ve been taking magnesium and collagen everyday too. lastly look into anti-aging pillows and silk/satin pillowcases. This is especially important for side sleepers. If you sleep on your side, you are smushing your face against it. When you are young, your skin is elastic enough to bounce back, but you’re hurting your skin over time. YourFacePillow - Anti Wrinkle Back & Side Sleeping Pillow
I’d rather get coal than...
GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist was a product I initially purchased because of the hype....and never ended up using. 😒 I am a huge fan of hydrating mists but this just didn’t do it for me. Living in a desert I absolutely always keep a mist on hand and this bottle has one of the best spritzing mechanisms that delivers such a perfect mist that I wish I had loved it. (Note: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Soothe + Hydrate Activated Mist with Reishi + Ashwagandha is the best if you’re looking for one!) Downfalls: Added fragrance- Glow Recipe is known for its popular watermelon scent. Contains small amount of apple cider vinegar which can be sensitizing. Clear bottle causes products to degrade - This was something I learned AFTER purchasing and was disappointing to hear. It’s meant to be stored in a cool dark cabinet or drawer. If you’re looking for just a fun hydrating mist and love watermelon, this is for you. For me, I felt I paid for scented water 🤭 opps, I said it! I’ve tried a few of Glow Recipes other products and some have been hits, others misses. I LOVED their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Jelly Sheet Mask but they discontinued it 😩. I’ve also heard great things about their GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer and hope to give it a try in the future. I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas and don’t get coal! 🎄🤶 ❤️🍒 DISCLAIMER- I realize I have become a lot more HONEST with my reviews. It’s not that I wasn’t before I think it’s that I’ve learned a lot by taking a break from posting as often and spending more time doing research and learning about others needs, not just my own skincare concerns. So instead of just sharing that a product was say 5⭐️ for me, I’m trying to evaluate it more from a wider perspective. Example: the watermelon scent in this spray is not sensitizing to me but can be to others so I deducted a star for that.
Clean Skincare Routine with Bliss🍊
I’ve been using this skincare combo over the course of a few weeks and I must say it works quite well on my sensitive skin. Here’s a breakdown of the products shown above: Products used: bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Cleanser $13 - This is a gentle foaming cleanser for sensitive skin and didn’t irritate my skin whatsoever. No stinging or excessive dryness afterwards. bliss - Pumpkin Powerhouse Resurfacing & Exfoliating Enzyme Mask $15 - This mask is infused with a 10% skin smoothing pumpkin blend of natural AHA’s which gently exfoliated my skin. The pumpkin smell is pretty pungent but my skin was so smooth after I rinsed this bad boy off. bliss - Bright Idea Serum Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Serum $27 - it’s safe to say anything with vitamin C becomes my bff. Over the course of two weeks my skin began to look brighter but most importantly my dark spots slowly began to fade. bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Moisturizer $21 - This is a gentle moisture cream that applied thick but melted into my skin as I began to rub it in. Very suitable for sensitive skin. bliss - Lemon & Sage Body Butter $5 - I gave this body butter a 3 mainly because of the added in fragrance. It does smell amazing but I have eczema prone skin and I am always skeptical to putting fragrances on my body. Overall, the vitamin C serum is definitely my fav since it helps combat these stubborn dark marks and the gentle moisture cream is a close second. This skincare combo has had me feeling refreshed all throughout my zoom meetings😌

Current AM & PM routines
My skin has never looked better than it does right now, so I thought I’d share my current routines! To clarify - for AM I use EITHER the C-Rush moisturizer with Supergoop on top OR the PTR Water Drench SPF (moisturizer and SPF in one). For PM, I use either Sunday Riley Tidal Cream OR PTR Water Drench for moisturizer, then all the products on the right are overnight masks that I alternate based on what my skin needs!
OLE HENRIKSEN-C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer
The FARMACY - BEE CLEAN is extremely gentle— like the title suggests. It smells incredible but the smell is quite strong so maybe stay away if you’re sensitive to fragrance. It leaves your skin so hydrated and doesn’t ever strip your skin. It’s formulated without any harsh ingredients so it’s amazing for anyone with sensitive skin who don’t mind fragrance. The FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum is the BEST product I’ve used hands down. It burns a little but I’m not new to exfoliation so it was bearable and went away after a while. Waking up after using this— I was blown away. All my small pimples were gone. My skin looked so clear and was glowing. The product is not cheap. I first tried it when I got it in a boxycharm but after using it, I knew I had to repurchase. I ended up buying the set with the cleanser, oil and serum and it was $86 CAD for the set, which is a good deal because the serum itself is $77 CAD. This is one of those products that I will keep repurchasing because it works so well on my skin. I highly highly recommend. The FARMACY - Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask is an amazing mask if your skin feels dry and irritated. I’ve never used a mask like this. It warms up as you rub it in which feels really soothing. As you rub it in, it turns into a creamy white consistency. The morning after using this, my skin is so hydrated and so moisturized, it feels incredibly soft. I have only used this mask two times now so I have yet to see what it does for my skin long-term. The FARMACY - Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil once again, this smells incredible! The consistency is very thick and it feels like you’re putting raw honey on your face. Again, PERFECT for people with dry, sensitive skin. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it can get very sticky. I save this oil for when I feel my skin needs the hydration but it becomes too much on a daily. The SKINFOOD - Black Sugar Honey Mask Wash Off is the only product that isn’t from Farmacy. Anyone who really loves skincare has to try Korean skincare! This product is from skinfood, a Korean brand. I can only give a first impression on this product because I’ve only used it once. This is a physical exfoliant, which I don’t use often as I prefer chemical exfoliation. This is great for people who prefer a physical exfoliation because it’s very gentle and will not irritate your skin. It smells heavenly and leaves your skin nice and hydrated. Not to mention, the packaging is so cute and part of the reason I purchased the product. Honey is one of the best natural ingredients for your skin. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial properties and super hydrating, making it extremely beneficial for your skin. I really encourage anyone who wants to incorporate honey into their skincare.
The Perfect Oil ✨
Skin Type: Combo/ Acne Prone / Sensitive Product: Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil Brand: Youth to the People Goals: To hydrate and add antioxidants and vitamins to skin with fast absorption I love this oil. Not only is it great by itself, but it plays well with others if I’m trying to thin a super thick moisturizer or overnight mask. It also works well under foundation/ makeup or mixed with it. This oil doesn’t clog my pores or break me out and I have very sensitive skin. It adds hydration and makes my skin really soft. It has squalane, omega fatty acids and Vitamin C to add glow. It also has a light fruity scent to it too. This oil retails for $44 but lasts a long time and a little goes a long way. If you’re looking for a reliable staple in your routine, this is it ☀️ Five stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil
