Nighttime routine for combination skin ✨
Hi! I’ve been using every product reviewed for at least 3 weeks & my main concerns are fine lines, blemishes and post acne hyperpigmentation! Let me know your thoughts & recommendations 💕 Cleanser: I start with the BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm the 1st balm cleanser I’ve used & so far so good! This removes waterproof mascara to varying degrees of success but all other makeup gets blitzed with this. There is no real fragrance & I’ve not found it drying! Then I use the CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Exfoliator: 2-3 times a week I use the Neutrogena - Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish which is the only AHA product in my routine. It has a physical exfoliant texture so I v gently massage it into wet skin and leave it for about a minute. I don’t experience any redness or tingling & my skin does feel very smooth after. I don’t use my retinol on nights I use this! Toner: On a damp face I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Serums: Then I use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 followed by The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which I’ve reviewed in my morning skincare routine post Moisturiser: I’ve been obsessed with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cream ever since I got it. It has Urea (great for eczema) & salicylic acid so it’s very hydrating whilst also working against acne. I use this for my bikini line & any back acne I get (full review on my page) When I use the brightening polish I switch out the above for sukin - Facial Moisturiser 125ml so I’m not combining BHA’s & AHA’s. This is a solid, basic moisturiser that hasn’t broken me out & sinks in quickly. It’s rich in jojoba & avocado oil so I tend to skip face oils when I use this! Retinol: after using the neutrogena SA retinol for 6 months & seeing no results I switched to indeed LABORATORIES - Retinol Reface : Skin Resurfacer & Wrinkle Repair I’ve had no irritation & love the light texture. My skin has been feeling plumper & not dry at all. I’ve been using it 4 times a week while my skin adjusts to the higher %! I go over the bad hyperpigmentation with PALMER'S - Skin Success Anti Dark Spot Cream (I have the pump version to avoid air contact & contamination). This product WORKS. It has retinol & liquorice root extract but also seems to contain glitter? Bizarre. Then Neutrogena - Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream as I like a gentler formulation of retinol for the more delicate skin. This sinks in fast, doesn’t irritate & my dark circles have also decreased since using! Oil: finallyKiehl's - Midnight Recovery Concentrate an oldie but goldie. A great seal & smells 🔥🔥
Cleansing balm battle 💕
Hi guys! Today I’m gonna review one of my favourite products of skincare. The most important step of a skincare routine is the cleansing of face. I’m not a very skincare person, I don’t have many face creams and serums, I just have one or other thing that I like to use for hydration and exfoliating my skin. Remove the makeup is the most important step, everyday I wear some makeup so I like to clean very well before sleep. FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Im still giving a try for this one. The texture is nice, easy for melt, nice smell (like green tea with some herbs) but: when I use I feel like I need more than usual for melt my makeup, and I feel like it burns my eyes too, it’s not painful but uncomfortable.. anyway, I’m still trying this one because it was pricy and I really want to like it 😰 but maybe it’s the formula , maybe my skin is more sensitive for this one, if you had a different experience leave a comment here! For now, I think I’m not gonna buy this one again. N°7 - Radiant Results Nourishing Cleansing Balm This is my favourite! I tried other similar which is BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm and they are similar except the texture. The number 7 is more oily cream and the Banila co is more like a butter. Both clean very well and I didn’t have eye irritation so I melted my makeup with my eyes opened and it didn’t burn at all. I like the number 7 because is a good price and it does the work very well! If you never tried a cleansing balm, I suggest the number 7 one! The banila co is also good. As you guys can see, my skin has few red spots, sun marks and I have a lot of blackheads in my nose so I exfoliate my nose with chemical and physical exfoliation. My skin is sensitive for any physical process so I do it once a week and chemical almost everyday. I think is important to show our face with no makeup because this is the reality and everyone has skin features that makes us unique ❤️ Thanks guys and I hope you guys enjoy my reviews!!! Xoxo 😘 💋

my skin is very very dry and acne prone AM: i start with the Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser this was recommended by my derm next i go in with the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 on damp skin i wait about 30 seconds and follow up with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% this has helped my acne so much, since i have dry skin i follow up with a heavy moisturizer like the CeraVe - Healing Ointment this is the only thing heavy enough for my dry skin, i then finish with the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 i love this sunscreen PM: i start with POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser as a first cleanse and makeup remover, for my second cleanse i go in with Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser this was recommended by my derm, next i exfoliate 3 times a week with The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and i use the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 on damp skin to hydrate and follow with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% next i use the Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer to hydrate and follow with CeraVe - Healing Ointment to lock everything in how do you like my routine, anything i should change? any advice?
UNPOPULAR OPINON: PONDS COLD CREAM CLEANSER
POND'S - Cold Cream Cleanser *fragrance free* has become one of my holy grail items for my sensitive / dry skin. I use it as part of my double cleanse even when I am not wearing makeup and it keeps my skin soft and moisturizer. Before using Ponds I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser to help with the appearance of my pores / blackheads. I really like this cleanser, it’s gentle and I find that my pores are noticeably smaller and my face feels really clear. I took one star off because I feel that it can be slightly drying, but following with the ponds cold cream leaves my skin soft, moisturized and poreless. You also can’t beat the price of Ponds!

As good as green clean?! 🤔
I’ve been using the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm over the past 2 weeks and I’ve really been enjoying it. I prefer a cleansing balm over any other type of first cleanse and this one did not disappoint. It’s soft and slippy and melts makeup extremely easily. It comes with a cute Elemis washcloth that works perfectly with it! It does have a citrus scent but I don’t find it irritating at all. It might even rival my all time fav Farmacy Green Clean. It’s pricey but if you can find it on sale this is definitely a nice cleansing balm. *this product was gifted to me
🧝♀️~Melting Makeup Like Magic!~🧝♀️ Fast & Effective Makeup Remover~🧝🏻♀️ 🎉Elemis 'Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm'🎉 Okay, I have to admit, I am incredibly lazy I guess you could say when it comes to using Makeup Remover. I want something that I can slap on that will melt my Waterproof Makeup away without any fuss. Am I the only one that thinks this? Elemis 'Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm' does just that for me! 📣(Pssst! Hey Elemis! I'm Available For PR!) 💯🤷♀️ 🤔My First Impressions🤔 If you've tried this Cleansing Balm youself, you'll totally understand what I mean when I say that this product has an odd smell to it. I was a little taken back when I seen the texture of it as well. It isn't like a normal Balm. It honestly feels and looks like Vaseline. Even with that I still decided to try it. After that price tag, it could've looked like puke and I still would've tried it. Lol 🤦♀️💯 🧴-Packaging-🧴 There's not a whole lot I can say about its packaging because it's just a small jar. It has a shiny mirrored lid and bold black easy to read lettering. I'm pretty sure I can recycle it or reuse it in one way or another.♻ ✨-Scent & Texture-✨ As I said earlier, this Cleansing Balm has an odd scent. It smells like old Vaseline mixed with old chewing gum. If that makes any sense? (I'm not sure it even makes sense to me!) Lol🤷♀️ Its texture really isn't a Balm though. THEY LIED TO ME! 🤯 It's like a creamy Vaseline consistency. Feels kinda icky I gotta say. 🥴 👌Key Benefits👌 Deep Cleanses Softens Nourishes Dissolves Makeup and Grime Renews Skin Gives a Glowing Complexion 💁♀️-Ease of Use & Effectiveness-💁♀️ With my MINOR charactor flaw, me being a 'Lazy Girl' when it comes to Makeup Remover, this product has made my life so much easier!💯 I apply a dime sized goopy blob on each eye and rub it in with a reusable cleansing cloth until I look like a crazed Raccoon.🦝 Then I rinse with warm water. I like to use a light Foaming Face Wash after just to be sure I got everything off. HELLO squeeky clean skin! It removes Waterproof Makeup like I remove Dr.Peppers from my fridge.. FAST! 🥤 It leaves my skin looking and feeling moisturized with a gorgeous natural glow.👌 Oh... and P.S.... It doesn't even burn your eyes so you can open them while washing your makeup off! BOOM! Mind Blown! 🤯 💲Price- $64.00 My Final Thoughts....(everytime I say that it makes me think of Jerry Springer!)🤣 On a more serious note, I definitely recommend this Makeup Remover. It is super effective and still fairly affordable. It is great for sensitive skin too. I just can't say enough that this is my absolute favorite makeup remover. If you are still reading this part, then I thank you for enduring my craziness. I commend you. As for everyone else, I don't blame you and I aint mad atcha. 🥱🤫 My questions for YOU! What is your fav Makeup Remover? Have you ever used an Elemis product? Let me know in the comments below! haha that rymed! Lol Until Next Time Lovelies......ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm
LITERALLY HEALS BROKEN SKIN BARRIER OVERNIGHT
If you have HORMONAL/cystic acne and it bleeds, or you have broken skin , GET THIS OIL!!! 😍 ✨I used to let my acne/blemishes dry out and the skin around them heal itself until I found this baby!!! ✨Take my word - This will heal your skin barrier in just one night and your skin will look plumper and brighter the next morning!!!✨ This interesting balm to oil from @lxmiofficial LXMI - Pure Nilotica Melt Nourishing Balm-to-Oil is 100% organic, cold-pressed Nilotica. (which is a rare relative of shea. It is underutilized in the cosmetic market despite its superiority, due to sourcing challenges and costs. Nilotica Reserve has sky-high essential fatty acids, enhanced vitamin and nutrient potency, and a luxurious texture.) That’s the only ingredient in this luxuriously rich balm-to-oil. This is a very unique product from @lxmiofficial with that one superfood ingredient which claims to do a lot. The buttery formula melts instantly upon application, delivering fatty acids, allantoin, and vitamin A to hydrate, brighten, and protect skin—even reversing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Use it as an ultra-rich overnight mask, as a healing salve for sunburns or scars, or during the day as needed. I used it a couple of times and it got rid of my dry patches certainly along with that gave me a super soft skin. I didn't see any anti aging processes happening to my skin, though this is good product to use in winters. . . . . . . . . . But I use this when my hormonal acne flares up and this oil helps in healing my skin.
LXMI Nourishing Balm-to-Oil
This product is perfect with people who have dry skin! 100% organic, cold-pressed Nilotica. That’s the only ingredient in this luxuriously rich balm-to-oil: the purest form of LXMI’s signature skin superfood. I use this on my dry skin before I go to bed and when I wake up the next morning the dry skin is gone. I love this product. The 50g or 1.67 Oz can be found online for $28 and a smaller size can be found at Sephora for $24. LXMI - Pure Nilotica Melt Nourishing Balm-to-Oil
Move over, Drunk Elephant! ✌🏽
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Slaai Makeup-Melting Butter Cleanser Tried the Drunk Elephant Slaai Butter Cleanser earlier this year and I really do not understand the hype around it. I found it quite hard to emulsify, it smelled like frybread (Natives will get this), it was hard to get off of my face (or my eyes!!!!) and it did not do the greatest job at removing all my makeup. Fortunately, it did not make me breakout, but at that price I was expecting it to perform better than it did. DE also treat their customers like crap, so I don't think I will be repurchasing anything from them. In the morning, I use: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser I put heavier serums and moisturizers at night, so I like to gently double cleanse it the morning too. I found this one is totally ok for the price point. Emulsifies well, hydrates and the texture is nice. It kind of feels like a moisturizer when you squeeze it out of the tube, but it slightly melts when in contact with heat. Nothing revolutionary, but sometimes you just want something that does the job. At night, I use: I'm from - Fig Cleansing Balm This stuff is great if you have extra bucks to spend (you do get a lot of product though). This balm melts into an oil that is almost silky and you don't have to tug to get it off after emulsifying it. Emulsifies easily. It's not congesting my pores or leaving oily residues behind. It also does a great job at removing my makeup. Do you need to spend that much on a cleansing balm? Absolutely not. Is it nice though? Yes. I feel less clogged than when I used the DE one. Slight scent, but I wash off the product so I don't mind it. I have oily skin and it took me some time to get into cleasing balms or oils because it was not very instinctive for me. The DE one kind of traumatized me, but this one leaves my skin so soft. I think I found THE cleansing balm for now. Really hope they will reformulate it without the polyethylene though. 💫
My Skincare Routine! My Holy Grails 🏆
Here are my morning and nighttime skincare routines! Feel free to give any suggestions or recommendations! Also keep in mind that if you are just starting out with skincare, focus on the main 3 products in your routine (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) before getting into the more fancy stuff. I’ll be making an article for skincare beginners soon! Morning Routine: Krave Beauty Match Hemp Cleanser: Cleans my skin very well without leaving it feeling stripped or dry. Has very clean and beneficial ingredients. Also very affordable! WLDKAT Coconut and Noni Fruit Electrolyte Spray: This is the first spray I’ve found that 1.) Does not have fragrance or essential oils 2.) Does not have witch hazel or alcohol 3.) Is actually beneficial and hydrating for my skin! The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum: If you are into skin care even just a little bit, you definetely have this serum. Niacinamide is truly the miracle ingredient and has done wonders at reducing my sebum production. Versed Vacation Eyes Gel: To be completely honest, I haven’t seen the biggest difference using this product or any eye cream. I personally struggle with puffiness when I wake up every morning and I’ve never found a product to help it, because I’m convinced that it happens because I don’t drink enough water. So I definitely recommend drinking water! Naturium Marine Hyaluronics Water Cream: I love this product to death! Water creams are my absolute favorite textures when it comes moisturizers because I have very oily skin. This product is very hydrating but is super light weight and absorbs within 10 seconds. This one is also on the more affordable side. Purito Comfy Water Sun Block SPF 50+ PA++++: This is a new discovery in my skincare routine, but I’m already in love! I have an article on it already so go check that one out for more information, but to sum it up, this sunscreen is is very lightweight with no white cast. The ingredients are absolutely amazing and it’s only $16! Nighttime: Slaii Makeup- Melter Butter Cleanser: I’m not super amazed with this product, but it does do a good job at removing makeup, dirt, and excess oils. It is a little bit to thick and dense for my skin, but this might be a good one if you have dry skin. The only reason I’m using it right now is because I ran out of my last cleansing balm, so leave you’re recommendations below! Krave Beauty Match Hemp Cleanser Naturium BHA 2% Liquid Exfoliant: Where do I even start with this product! This is one of my absolute holy grail products. I have lots of blackheads on the sides of my nose and this made them almost completely disappear. If you have acne, blackheads, or any textural issues, I would define you recommend you use a BHA product, but do your own research first! The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum Versed Vacation Eye Gel Naturium Marine Hyaluronics Water Cream WLDKAT Coconut and Noni Fruit Electrolyte Spray Thank you so much for reading this! Please leave a comment or cheer this post!
Buttery soft first cleanse
SKIN TYPE: acne prone, combination, dehydrated PRODUCT: Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm This mint green balm packs a punch against all makeup! The balm melts nearly instantly on contact, cutting through SPF, foundation, and waterproof makeup gently but effectively. It is an excellent first cleanse and has quickly joined in my rotation of cleansers. For anyone who has super sensitive skin, it’s good to note that it has added fragrant essential oils (which result in a scent reminiscent of limes mixed with candied ginger) but I haven’t broken out so far while using it. At $34 for 3.4 oz or $22 for 1.7 oz, it’s not the most affordable oil based cleanser, but I definitely recommend giving this cleansing balm a shot!

NEOGENLAB - Real Cica Micellar Cleansing Foam When I arrived back in CA, I had a NATURE REPUBLIC - Collagen Dream Vitamin C Capsule Foam Cleanser that was still lying around but it was drying my face out like crazy! As such, I ended up purchasing this Neogen cleanser since it’s advertised for sensitive, dry skin that’s prone to redness. Well, I don’t have dry skin but my face was certainly suffering from it since the other product had stripped it all out. I would say that this product is just OK. It contains cica (also known as centella asiatica) which is very “in” right now due to its ability to soothe and repair irritated skin. I do like that the cleanser is very gentle and my skin doesn’t feel tight at all after using it. But beyond that, it’s hard for me to say what else it’s doing. It could be working and I just don’t even realize it! (You don’t know what you have until you don’t have it I guess 😩) Despite it being labeled as a foam cleanser, it hardly lathers up at all. In the evenings, I use it as a second step after oil cleansing with my BANILA CO - Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm which is nice since it does help to clear up the oily feeling. I don’t regret buying this product since, if anything, it hasn’t worsened my skin condition, which is always good, but I think I would like to try something new in the future!
BANILA CO-Clean It Zero 3-in-1 Cleansing Balm
Hydrating cleanser 💦🥇
The first hydrating type cleanser I’ve ever used... On my (more) younger days I always used to use cleansers that strip my skin leaving me feeling squeaky clean because I had oily skin and thought that’s what I needed... Moving from the Caribbean to the US my skin type change from oily to a more combination/dry type. I experienced dry spots for the first time: my cheeks would look red and I could see the flaky, scaly patches on them. Watching skincare based YouTube channels (as Beauty Within, skincarebyhyram, James Welsh.... and more) I stumble upon the brand Krave Beauty, and after hearing all the good reviews decided to try a couple of their products. This is the first tube of the Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser I finished (already have two back ups), so is pretty clear I love it... it cleans my skin but hydrates it at the same time, which sounds amazing now that I have a more dry skin. My boyfriend who suffers from rosacea also loves it, it really helps him soothe his flare ups. I recommend this cleanser for any skin type to be honest, anyone would benefit from the skin barrier friendly ingredients in it. It has a gooey/gel type of consistency, and you can actually see the (I guess) hemp particles in it. It’s really a 5/5 ⭐️ for me.

The Best Makeup Remover
FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm I was never a big fan of cleansing balms until I tried this- I found them waxy and felt that they left a residue that I could never get rid of, so I hadn't really double cleansed before I met Green Clean. Farmacy's Green Clean is what I would say is their signature product. I mean check out that texture - it's actually GREEN! As a brand, Farmacy focuses on clean beauty, so the whole green theme fits. This also smells lovely and green - it reminds me of being outside in the woods! It contains sunflower oil, lime, bergamont and ginger so those lend it a pleasant scent. Packed in a recyclable jar, Green Clean is a balm meant to cleanse off all of your makeup- including eye makeup- and that it does. It even manages not to irritate my sensitive eyes! Let’s talk texture- It stays solid in the jar but once you put it on your skin, it lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean, but not dry. All without the waxy residue that turned me off from cleansing balms in the first place! I still like to use another cleanser after the green clean, but you don't need to, since it really washes clean. As I am in my late 30s with dry skin, I need to avoid cleansers that strip the skin, so this is perfect if you’re on the dry side. I’m not sure it would be as good for oily skin, but as it rinses clean I don’t think it would clog pores or cause breakouts. I give Green Clean 5/5 stars because this really IS an excellent cleanser. It runs $34 for a 3.4 oz size, which to be honest, is a little expensive. A 3.4 ounce jar lasts me around 3 months, so its still a good value, and on occasion Farmacy sells value sizes which makes it cheaper per ounce. Definitely the best balm available right now!

THIS HELPED ME rebalance my oily skin 💜💖
People have very mixed opinions about Glow Recipe, most of the negative opinions thinking it is just a cutesy brand and for a while I agreed until i really started diving into clean skin care and good ingredients, I finally decided to try it out but I wanted to try both the cleanser AND the moisturizer because I don't believe any brand is defined by 1 or even 2 products. THESE PRODUCTS ARE FOR PEOPLE WITH OILY SKIN THAT WANT BALANCED SKIN, this won't make you 100% oil-free and matte, if you prefer that I'm sorry but I don't think you will like these. The Review ‼ My skin is beyond oily, I'd get so embarrassed walking around especially during the summer, I have been testing so many different things for around 2 years and this completely changed my skin, my skin is now so soft it looks smooth (even with my minor acne scars and pores, and I no longer get oily throughout the day, I can't help but touch my skin because I just feel so good about it, I have a normal healthy glow and when I touch my face it has the perfect amount of hydration. I also don't have severe acne though I do have some acne scars and and I usually get between 1-4 pimples most of the time and this has helped calm both of that down, I haven't gotten any more pimples (except 1 recently) which wasn't nearly as big as the others, the cleanser really helped with that and my bumpy textured skin the cleanser is my new holy grail. Would I Recommend ❓ Absolutely, if you are into clean skin care, and want to rebalance your skin or even if you have normal skin I'd definitely buy this combo! It seems expensive but honestly the smaller size is enough. I gave the cleanser 5 stars because it cleans my skin so well I don't even feel like I need a toner but it doesnt strip my skin, I feel like every skin type could use this cleanser and the small $10 bottle will last a long time, 1 pump covers your whole face 💜 I gave the moisturizer 4 stars because even though I love the amount of hydration it gives me without the oiliness it seems to be going by a little faster than the cleanser but that could also be because I do 1 pump but 1 pump is too much honestly, it's a small learning curve but very worth it 💖 How I use the moisturizer❗I try to pour a little less than 1 pump into my hand and I dip a finger in the product and put that on 1 check then I dipped my finger again and put it on the other cheek, and I dip my finger again to put it on my forehead and whatever is left I just put on any spot I missed like my nose or if i need a little more on my cheeks. $10 for small cleanser $21 for small moisturizer, or you can get the make your own kit for $29, you will get the small sized moisturizer and can get a sample sized cleanser, you can also choose another 2 products if there are other things you want to try. (4 piece kit 1 small size 3 sample size) If you don't have the money to get both, the cleanser is a good investment because for the price of a normal drugstore cleanser it lasts.
GLOW RECIPE-Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
One of the best way to us spinach 🥰
this product helps me cleanse my face without irritating it and especially by moisturizing it. I have very dry skin and the cleanser helps my skin absorb the vitamins. I no longer feel my face dry after using it, and I have a shiny face. I just add a cream to close the pores. green tea eliminates impurities and purifies the skin. it also closes the pores after cleaning it gives a more refreshing and youthful effect. spinach, it is an anti-acne it cleans toxins it protects the epidermis and reduces inflammation.so if you have redness you can boil water and put spinach turn into paste and put on the face! that's wonderful it also helps prevent aging of the skin it also helps for hair loss vitamins A and C they help produce the oil necessary to strengthen them
