Are AHA toner pads worth the money?
As much as I enjoy AHAs I really could enjoy some ease of it's use with prepackaged toner pads soaked in AHA toners. While this sounds pretty useful and time saving, the specific products from some brands can be all different when it comes to the ingredients. These peel pads/ toner pads have nothing different or unique when it comes to formulations but the Ingredients or what the product/pads are soaked in is what counts. I am neutral about pre soaked toner pads but I know a lot of people love them. I tried these two from @elemis and @firstaidbeauty They're noy similar in performance and how they work as well as ingredients. I'll put my detailed review on both of them. 1. elemis Dynamic resurfacing facial pads ELEMIS - Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads

MalloryI have the FAB ones but I’ve yet to use them :/ Honestly I might give them away. I’m not a fan of the lemon peel they put in it

Treatments from My skin cabinet
Here I’m showcasing some of my time and money worthy Treatments! I believe these are the tried and true ones for me with few daily staples! For ease of understanding and review I’m going to use the ‘Tags’ like ‘Daily staples’ and I’ll give stars ⭐️. I really think if you’re Hormonal Acne girl like me, this could be a helpful snap of my skin cabinet ❤️ So, with first tag - 🤩1. ‘Daily Staples’ - SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream This is rich and thick in consistency so if you’re oily try using it in Winters. I use it in morning routine. I think it’s effective and will give you more brightened skin. LeeGeeHaam Vita Propolis Ampoule This is new skincare find for me, AMAZING! In love this baby😍 Totally worth it! It gives glowing, brighter and tighter skin in consistent use! ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm This balm is Amazing! Works the best in removing every bit of makeup. The best part is it emulsified and washes well. Worth the hype! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The best HA that worked for me. It didn’t irritate my Sensitive skin. It’s sticky so is the best under makeup. Love it 😍 🤩2. ‘Not so favorite Treatments’ - SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner Didn’t give any visible results. The smell is a bit too off for me. Positive is it’s hydrating. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask This held high hopes from me but unfortunately I didn’t find it Stunning. I believe there are other Retinols that work the best. This one is too occlusive for me, also it is a bit sticky and heavy unlike the Watermelon sleeping mask. The results weren’t amazing. Hence three stars from me. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads This is okay in my opinion. Nothing too great, also not bad. I didn’t see any results similar to The ordinary glycolic acid toner. So, I’m not very impressed with it but I believe for someone who has very sensitive skin, this could be a decent treatment. 🤩3. ‘Favorite Treatments’ - SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment This is AMAZING AMAZING! you will see the results in just one use. Gives glowing, brighter skin next morning. It helps with raised bumps and texture. Love it! TULA SKINCARE - Pro-Glycolic 10% Resurfacing Toner It works just as amazing as Good genes. Worth the money. It’s more like toner so it’s easy to use and also less irritating. THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum one of my favorite Retinols. Works great, formula is amazing. Not too thin but absorbs quickly. I feel the only downside is the size, it’s just very little for what we get from other brands. ELEMIS - Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads Works very well. Gives results in one use. Easy to use because of individual pads. Doesn’t feel heavy. Kate Somerville - Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides Serum
Update on my skin!!
Hey guys, firstly i want to thank you guys for cheered me a lot and commented your opinions on my last post. I kind of change my routine. I stopped using the ordinary peeling solution since i think Aztec indian healing clay works better on my skin and I didn’t want to over exfoliate my skin. I also added rosehip oil to my night routine and i swear to god my face have been smooth like a butter. Well it’s been smoother than before. And i have been using sunscreens and these are the two have (the one from the body shop and the one from the Bioré) both works good i prefer the one from body shop since i felt like the Bioré has a bit of alcohol cuz i smell some while i applied it. Hopes my tips work on your skin too! Please comment if u have any ideas or tips 💗
Kiss 💋 Marry 💍 Kill 🔪 - FIRST AID BEAUTY 🚨
💋 KISS 💋 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Lip Therapy (smooth application, makes your lips feel HYDRATED 💧, that hydrated feeling lasts for a decent amount of time. No smell really at all or COLOUR 💄which I do prefer in a lip product) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser (non-irritating and very mild 🌝 Reminds me of a fancier Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanserremoves makeup, in general a good all purpose cleanser but nothing earth shattering) 💍 MARRY 💍 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (this cream L.I.T.E.R.A.L.L.Y fixed my face 🤯 so so so moisturizing and soothing. I used to have dry, painful red skin around my nose and suffered this way for at least 10 years-NOT NO MORE 💁♀️ I recommend it to anyone who will listen) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads (these are SUUUUPER popular for a reason, they make my skin feel and look GLOWY 💡 the only downside is that they are pre-moistened pads which is not so eco friendly 🌎 Hack I learned from a very smart Sephora lady: cut the pads in half for twice as many uses 😂) 🔪 KILL 🔪 - FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum (feels nice going on but my skin feels so THIRSTY 😩 after. See above for more hydrating options) In conclusion: I refer so many friends (and even enemies) to First Aid Beauty they should probably be paying me 💸
Help treating blind pimples/redness
In the passed two week my skin has started getting red bumps/blind pimples across my face. This has mainly appeared on the right side of the face. I haven’t started using any new products recently, or changed my routine. I have noticed that wearing a face mask has caused me to breakout a little bit. My skin is usually very clear, with a pimple or two around the chin that time of the month. The pimples are mostly across my cheek, jaw and temple on the right side of my face. Any suggestions on what products/ingredients to use to treat this issue would be great . I have normal skin. Living in Australia, end of winter going into spring at the moment. Current Routine Night Oil Cleanser, Gel Cleanser, soothing toner, essence, hyaluronic acid, niacidamide, squalane oil, eye cream, face cream Morning Gel cleanser (if my face feels like it needs it), toner, vitamin c serum, squalane oil, eye cream, face cream, sunscreen I use retinal twice a week(0.5 %) and chemical exfoliating wipes twice a week. Clay mask once a week. Mario Badescu spot treatments whenever needed (I try to avoid using these as it dries out my skin and can make it worse). Have you tried volition yet? This brand has been on my wishlist to try for a while now so I was so excited to get to try their Apple Cider Vinegar Resurfacing Peel Pads (still dying to try their strawberry 🍓 serum)! ▫️Key Ingredient: Apple Cider Vinegar, obvi (full of antioxidants vitamins A, C, and E + Alpha Hydroxy Acids to remove dead skin cells, promote cell renewal purify clogged pores & diminish the appearance of dark spots & blemishes for brighter skin) ▫️My Thoughts: I was nervous that these peel pads would smell & burn like apple cider vinegar BUT they don’t! The scent isn’t unpleasant at all and I didn’t experience any irritation with them - I’ve only used them 3 times so far but after each use my skin looked brighter, for sure! I can’t wait to keep using them because I have a feeling they are going to keep my pores clear and my skin looking radiant!

Plant Based Exfoliation 🌱
Exfoliation is one of my favorite steps in skincare so I was excited when Primera gifted me their Mild Facial Peeling Gel! What is exfoliation? In short, exfoliation is the removal of dead skin cells from the surface of your skin - this can be achieved using several different methods (chemical, physical granular substance, or a skincare tool). Did you know that your skin naturally sheds to make room for new skin cells every 30 days or so? ❣️ This unique gel-textured formula effectively removes dry, dull surface cells without being abrasive or harsh on the skin. Removing the dry, dull surface skin cells leaves you with soft, renewed & hydrated skin! This product will help improve dark spots, pores, dryness & dullness / uneven texture. This is best suited for those with normal, dry, combination or oily skin types - as I always recommend; if you have sensitive skin, test on a small spot on your face first! ❣️ Primera takes pride in being a clean beauty Korean brand that focuses on developing formulas that are plant based, pure, potent, and planet friendly! Primera’s exfoliator formula is unique and innovative as it used plant based key ingredients to do the work: broccoli sprout extract to help clarify the skin & neem leaf extract to help with calming the skin. 💚 Available online on Primera’s website and at Sephora for $38! primera - Mild Facial Peeling Gel

chemical exfoliants | AHAs
The HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial is a chemical exfoliant facial mask. The consistency of this mask is gel-like and it contains no fragrance or dyes. This is a very powerful mask, as 20% AHA is an amount that should be built up to and not immediately used as a novice. When using the mask, a thin layer must be applied to clean skin and left on for no more than 20 minutes (no more than 10 mins for sensitive skin types). A warm tingling sensation is normal, if you feel any burning or pain remove immediately with warm water. This product must be removed in its entirety with warm water, and can only be used for a max of 1 or 2 times a week due to its potency. You should not follow up with any product that contains Hydroxy acids or acne treatment, a simple basic moisturizer should be used if needed. After using this facial mask I do notice that my skin appears brighter, and in the following days any texture has been reduced. This retails for $58 at Sephora (was sent to me as a gift). The dr. brandt - Microdermabrasion Age-Defying Exfoliator, With a Heart is also a chemical exfoliant facial product however, this product in addition to AHAs contains “professional grade” exfoliating crystals in order to assist with the removal of dead skin. This is an unnecessary addition to the product. One thing that I have learned in my research of skin care is that physical and chemical exfoliation should not be used together. Although the company claims that the crystals are professional grade, physical exfoliants are known to cause micro tears in the skin that will lead to long term damage. Before finding this out, I found this product very harsh on my skin even though I only used it once a week. After discovering this though, I stopped using the dr Brandt product altogether. This retails for $79 at Sephora (I received it as part of a boxycharm).

Broke out the 2nd day I used this!
I’d rather get coal than this serum. This product is marketed as a vitamin C and AHA serum that’s gentle enough to use on a daily basis. Given that it contains Vitamin C this serum is meant to brighten your skin and the AHA’s target texture and create a smoother complexion. This product therefore targets dullness and uneven texture. It has a thick and sticky consistency but it is a bit runny at the same time. Overall, this product did not do it for me, and my skin just didn’t react well to it. I was super excited to use this serum because I love chemical exfoliants because of the glow and evenness of texture they give my skin. I was also looking for a good vitamin C product for my skin since my sensitive skin typically breaks out with vitamin C products and this one was no exception! By the second day I used this my skin began to break out all over with whiteheads on my cheeks and chin (which happens to me with a lot of vitamin C products). Therefore I don’t like this product for that personal reason. However, if you’re somebody who doesn’t have any issues with vitamin C or don’t have a particularly sensitive skin type then this product could possibly work for you and I would only recommend it based on the skin type you may have. However, solely based on the reaction it gave my skin I don’t think it’s worth the expensive price.
GLOW RECIPE-Pineapple-C Brightening Serum
Review: Ren glycolic lactic radiance renewal mask ⠀ . 🧡 This mask is filled to the top with fruit acids from passion fruit, lemon, grapes and pineapple, and there is also lactic acid and papaya enzyme from papaya for renewal, improving relief and softening acne spots, removing dead cells, and brighten complexion. ⠀ . 🧡 It is intended for all skin types, except sensitive, and the manufacturer recommends applying it no more than 1 time per week. I use it few times a week with no negative reactions. ⠀ . 🧡 Consistency is amazing, almost edible texture, gel-honey. And this “honey” smells like citrus jam (my baby boy ate it, haha). ⠀ . 🧡 Effect: I put a mask on for 15-20 min. Immediately after application, it gives a feeling of relaxation, after a few minutes it begins to tingle a bit. But at the same time the skin does not redden or burn. After rinsing it off (I do it with a washcloth) the skin is smooth, even and radiant. ⠀ . 🧡 It doesn’t cleanse pores very deeply (so I like to use in 3-step masking ritual as a first step before clay mask). It peels off my skin gently and carefully, this is especially evident with constant use - the skin becomes even and bright.
