Some interesting Aveeno finds for Sensitive skin

I don't always go for high end cleansers and this is the reason I always look for some good affordable options. I wanted to try out @aveeno Positively Radiant line. I have been using their Positively radiant brightening cleanser since months, it never irritated my skin or broke me out. And the recent find from that line is 60 second in shower facial! I know a lot of people love @aveeno products but let's dive into how these two perform on skin and are they actually good? @aveeno Positively radiant cleanserAveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser
is one of the first drugstore cleansers I instantly picked because it had decent description of what it does. And luckily it's one of the cleansers I didn't seem to find irritating, stripping or breaking my skin out. It's quite gentle gel cleanser that lathers nicely and I enjoy using it in the morning. The ingredients list of this isn't so impressive. It has Soy protein extract but that's pretty low on the list. Apart fron that it has fragrance and mica again on mid level in the list. This cleanser doesn't have any actives that work in exfoliating or brightening skin but the tiny shimmer particles (mica) gives it that radiant look and leaves that finish on skin, leading it to making your skin glow. However it has Titanium dioxide, an ingredient generally added to sunscreens to give protection from UVB and it's good for preventing hyperpigmentation caused in sun exposure. But, It's the last on ingredients list. I didn't seem to like the ingredients list as much but it definitely doesn't do a bad job in good cleansing. This is one example why ingredients list isn't the only thing that counts when it comes to skincare especially cleansers. It has mild/average fragrance that can be a problem for some skin types. But I don't mind a little bit of fragrance in my wash off treatments. The texture is lightweight gel which lathers when comes in contact with water. The second product - 60 Second in shower facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser
is rather an interesting product. I am recently using it in my shower and loving the performance. This doesn't irritate skin, doesn't tingle or burn. It gently exfoliates skin with soft micro grains added in the formula and it has Glycolic acid which chemically exfoliates skin. It is made with moisture-rich soy, lemon-peel extract, kaolin clay and glycolic acid, this facial works with the steam of your shower to transform your skin from dull to radiant. This works in just a minute that's the best part about it. This has slightly granular texture which helps in gentle Exfoliating skin before washing it off. These are great affordable products if you want to try something new.

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. These are all types of exfoliators, Physical - Scrubs, Peeling gels Chemical - Facial AHA, BHA masks, solutions, in shower facials These are the ones I don't find so attractive for the price: Scrubs: 1. @avantskincare Gentle Rose beautifying facial exfoliant 114$avant - Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant The ones I like: Scrubs: 1. @skinandco Face gommage 26$SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Gommage Peeling gels: 1. @wishfulskin Yo Glow enzyme scurb 39$HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 2. @saturdayskin Rub-a-dub Refining peel gel 28$SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel Instant Facial masks/solutions: 1. @theordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 7.20$The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. @olehenriksen PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask 50$OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Mask 3. @aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser

AM Routine
Since I been working from home I was finally able to get a morning routine and found one that works for me, and can be done when I’m in a rush especially. So I start off by washing my face w the Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser , I just got it from target bc I needed something less concentrated and drying. So just as a gentle cleanser in the morning I like this. Once I dry my face, and I’ve toned using my THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist . I drop a few drops of Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil and apply it to my chin as that’s where most of my concerns are ; I have a lot of hyperpigmentation in that area bc of my PCOS. Just before moving on, for a little extra uumph and hydration, I mist my hyaluronic acid and rose water spray and fan it dry. Next, I begin w my serums. So from “lightest to heaviest”. I apply my Nolaskinsentials - Brightening-C Serum (I LOVE THIS SERUM!!!!! It has helped soooo much with lightening my dark spots, in addition to it helping brighten my skin all together... 12/10 rating! And it’s blackowned) I follow that up w The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 (not pictured since I’m waiting for my package to be delivered). Currently I’m using a product as a fill in. I bought this from Marshall’s for about $5 so I may just use this and compare the two once my package does arrive. Bc it’s honestly a pretty decent serum. Moving right along, w my The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG , I use this for my eyes bc ya girl apparently hates a good night’s rest and I started getting bags under my eyes, this came as a shock bc never have I ever and also my eyes are too small for bags so I definitely had to get that situated and seriously it helps. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t really have a “concern” of their eye area bc it is still good to just be proactive and preserve your good eyes while you have a chance! And to wrap things up, I finish off with my Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer the best stuff ever and my Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . I learned recently that 1. Hydrated skin and moisturized skin are in two completely different categories. The water gel moisturizer is a good investment if you’ve had issues with your pores. Literally the holy grail! And super affordable. And I just got into using sunscreen and omg !!! My life literally did a 180° and I’m obsessed. Don’t leave the house w out it anymore!!! So good for dark spots!!! So yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Everyone’s skin is different, and I hope you’re able to be inspired to find what works for you!

Daily acid cleanser
Daily acid cleanser
As someone with oily and acne prone skin, I’ve always found it beneficial to have an acid cleanser in my routines to help prevent any breakouts. The only problem with using an acid cleanser everyday was that my skin would tend to dry out, and I’d start seeing flakes and dry patches everywhere. But I think I’ve found a new acid cleanser that exfoliates and cleanses gently enough to be used daily. THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser has been a staple in my routines for the past couple of months now and I’ve been using it almost everyday at least once a day to help clear my pores and exfoliate any dead skin cells. This gel cleanser contains 2% salicylic acid, zinc PCA, allantoin, and betaine to control excess sebum, unclog pores, gently exfoliate, and soothe any possible irritations. There’s no added fragrance but it does have an alcohol scent to it. So how I usually use this is that I’ll take a dime sized amount and lather it up with a little bit of water. This lathers up quite nicely and produces a mild foam. I’ll then apply it to my skin and start my cleansing process for about 30 seconds. Some mornings, I’ll even leave this on for an extra 20-30 seconds to give the salicylic acid some time to work it’s exfoliating magic. Then I’ll just cleanly rinse the cleanser off my face. This is still an acid cleanser regardless of how gentle it is, so I still find it important to immediately go in with a hydrating toner or serum afterwards. I haven’t gotten any dry patches, flaking, or irritations since I started using this which is a huge plus. Overall, this is a great acid cleanser and I definitely recommend it to anyone who’s suffering from acne or for those who just wants a gentle acid cleanser to keep their skin clear. Those with oily to combination skin will surely love this. Not too sure about those with drier skin types though. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, what are your thoughts? Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Facial
Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Facial
This Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser is one of those “mom knows best” products because mama bear was right about this item! It’s a facial cleanser with soy extract that lifts away dirt, oil, and makeup that leads to brighter skin. It’s a super gentle cleanser that along with clearing the face also improves skin tone and texture, reduces dullness, and leaves skin feeling soft like a baby! It’s perfect to be used on all skin types, for example I have combo and my mom has oily and it works well on the both of us! This cleanser is oil free, soap free, and hypoallergenic! This cleanser is meant to truly enhance the natural skin radiance without stripping it from all the necessary oils. I don’t know too many cleansers that do more than just that: clean. But this one improves your skin tone and texture, brightens, and cleans. When you pump this cleanser into your hands it comes out as a semi thick green/gold iridescent color with a faint lovely scent. It’s fun to use as it’s so pretty! This is my third bottle of this Aveeno product and first tried it a few years ago! At the time I could not afford expensive cleansers and tried this one since it’s only $10.99 for 6.7oz. I like this cleanser because it works just as well as luxurious cleansers and I feel like my skin looks great after i use it during my evening skincare routine. Thus far it has NOT made me break out or given me any rashes. I truly recommend this item if you’re looking to try drug store skincare items. For the price, ease of use and purchase, and effectiveness I 100% recommend this cleanser.

Amazing 🙏🙏
Amazing 🙏🙏
This is a great everyday exfoliator thats gentle ok the skin and leaves my face soft and smooth. This is a rude- based powder that is activated when you add water. It also contains a small amount of salicylic acid, enzymes, white tea and licorice to brighten your complexion without being over abbrasive. Price wise, it’s fairly expensive. BUT compared to the TATCHA - The Rice Polish Foaming Enzyme Powderit’s a little bit cheaper. Plus I usually stock up during the Sephora sale. Another must have for me because it’s gentle enough to use daily and doesn’t irritate my newly sensitive skin (result of using benzoyl peroxide and differin gel to treat hormonal acne). dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator

Holifrog Cleansers Review
Holifrog Cleansers Review
I have been using these @holifrog cleansers ever since I have received them from the generous package @pokepr gifted me. I have a pretty good review on all of these four cleansers now so here they are 🤗 🐸 Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash: I saw many people use this as a makeup removing balm and so that was how I used it. However, it didn’t really remove my eye makeup too well. It is quite balmy and thick but not like a cleansing balm. I have pretty oily skin and this just did not work for me. I noticed that after using this for three nights in a row, I noticed milia forming around my eyes and nose area. I stopped using this and gave it to my mom who has mature and dry skin. She loves it. 🐸 Tashmoo Water Lily Nourising Milky Wash: This cleanser is also geared to dry and dry-combo skin. It comes out like a thin watery lotion and I have to admit, it felt pretty good and gentle. I liked using this on days where my face felt pretty sensitive because it helped cleanse my face but also soothe and calm it. I was worried that it wouldn’t work for my oily skin but surprisingly, I didn’t feel any irritations or discomfort. 🐸 Shasta AHA Refining Acid Wash: This is cleanser contains AHA to fight breakouts, congestion, rough texture, and to clean pores. Whenever I had felt like my skin was experiencing, texture, I used this and I have to say, it really helped. I love using AHA for my texture and this cleanser was no exception. If you want to target texture, I highly recommend that you check this one out. It is BOMB! 🐸 Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash: This is for oily or oily-combo skin and is my favorite out of the bunch. It is a gel cleanser so it does foam a bit more than the others but not too much. It contains probacillus revive that enhance cellular renewal, lactobacillus to defend against pollution/bacteria/allergens, kombucha to brighten, grape seed oil to moisturize, broccoli seed oil for that OMEGA BOOST, and other ingredients to nourish and help heal the skin. I liked this one the most because it gave me that squeaky clean feel without leaving my face squeaky stripped…does that make sense? 🤣 *gifted but reviews are mine HOLI FROG - Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash HOLI FROG - Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash HOLI FROG - Shasta AHA Refining Acid Wash

Old versus newbie cleansing oils!
Old versus newbie cleansing oils!
🎁The Boscia makeup breakup cool cleansing oil was the first one out of the two I bought and it helps clear the look of skin-clogging impurities and makeup without leaving an oily residue! It really helps with pores and dryness. The texture of this is a nice lightweight oil that gets all of my makeup off! I absolutely love using this at night and I got it about 10 months ago in a set from Boscia! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I saw good results in my pores after using it. I would certainly recommend this to others that love to use cleaning oils to remove makeup, it really gets the job done! It is worth the $32 for 5oz which is alot of product! 🎁The tatcha pure one step camellia oil cleanser is the one I got after the Boscia and is used to completely take of your makeup before you use your actual cleanser! This will completely take of any makeup, full face or just if your wearing a little bit. It completely takes off any eye liner and mascara as well as any waterproof makeup leaving your skin so silky and soft. This is not harsh at all on any type of skin, it is good for all skin types even sensitive skin! I first tried this last December because I had received the tatcha bestsellers set for Christmas with four minis and I absolutely feel in love with the cleansing oil. It can be a solution for dryness, fine lines and wrinkles, and dullness as well as uneven texture! The texture of this is a very rich oil that really moisturizes your skin. I overall really love this product and I will always be repurchasing, it’s definitely my go to makeup remover that I’ve ever tried! It has never let me down and always gets all my makeup off, and does everything that I would want a makeup remover to do. I have been using this for about a year so I have used this tons of times before giving this review! It was definitely hydrating enough and didn’t break me out at all! I saw great results from using this instead of other makeup removers that would make my skin red and were just to harsh when taking off my makeup. I would 100% recommend this to others because it completely takes off makeup and is so easy to use! And is great for every type of skin and has amazing ingredients in it! The full size of this is $48 for 5.1 oz of product which is so worth it because you only need a little bit to get all of your makeup off so it will last you forever! I really hope this review helps someone out if you’re deciding to get this or not I definitely recommend! 🎁I bought the tatcha cleansing oil over the Boscia because I noticed that this one did a better job of removing my makeup! And it removed more advanced makeup like eyeliner and foundation! The Boscia was only good for natural and not a lot of full face makeup! It only removed the basics, where the tatcha removed everything! I also noticed that it cleanses my face more intensely then the Boscia, it removed more dirt off my face! The texture of the Boscia and tatcha were very similar they were both very liquidity! The Boscia one was a little more thin, but the tatcha one felt like a heavier oil! The smell was very similar to, very clean and fresh! But I think I would have to say that the tatcha was more effective to my standards! boscia - MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser
