Updated Night Routine!
I had a lot of empties in January, so here is my updated night routine! I have a post detailing actives that I use and my schedule around those actives, so they won’t be included in this post.
My first step is my double-cleansing step, I use the Dr Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Makeup Removing Meltaway Cleanser (📍)to remove SPF and makeup, which I really love, it’s very unique, but it doesn’t break me out at all. Then I use the LANEIGE - Cream Skin Milk Oil Cleanser (📍) to cleanse a second time, I really enjoy this too, my skin tends to freak out when it comes to Laneige’s fragrance, but this is fragrance-free!!
After cleansing I steam my face with the Dr Dennis Gross - Pro Facial Steamer which I feel like has really helped the hydration levels of my skin. After that I’ll apply the TATCHA - The Essence Plumping Skin Softener (📍)which I also like, but I’m not sure how much it’s really done for my skin for what it’s worth. I’ll steam again, for about 30 seconds and then go into my PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum which is the only serum that can truly repair my moisture barrier when I’m breaking out. Then my eye product is The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (📍)which I’ve been loving a lot too! My current winter moisturizer is the Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream which again, I like, but it feels like it puts a barrier on my skin, which kind of felt weird to begin with. After moisturizer, my last two steps are to treat any breakouts or spots with the Murad - Blemish Control Rapid Relief Spot Treatment and use something to lock it all in like the The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil it does the job, but smells super weird. The only way I’ve been able to describe it is, picture the olive bar at a local grocery store, and the smell that comes from that. Not super pleasant, but it’s okay.

These are my ride or die
So, I have an autoimmune disease and I tend to have lots of inflammation.
That being said, when I wake up puffy like a blow fish 🐠.... these are my life savers !
The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this little baby packs a punch! De-puffs and gives my eyes a wake up call!! It is unique in that it is not a cream. At first I wasn’t sure, but I’m hooked. One drop on each eye does the trick. Easy to apply, smooth and silky! Wake up those peepers with this little bottle of magic 🪄!!
mizz bloom - JADE ROLLER this is my go to in morning to drain my lymphatic system. I keep mine in my skin fridge, so it is nice and cold! Add my serums and then have a nice little roll! De puffs my face and helps with contouring.

Morning routine updated
Ok I’ve made a few changes to my routine and sometimes I keep switching a few things in and out depending on the day....
I start with The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which I love. I think glycolic acid is an important ingredient to have in your routine for oily skin and wrinkles and even acne too.
I always use insta natural - Zinc Vitamin C Serum but I go between also using insta natural - Age Defying & Skin Clearing Serum which I love for acne, insta natural - Dark Spot Corrector I don’t notice a huge difference with this but it has great ingredients or insta natural - Skin Brightening Serum, Anti-Aging that has alpha arbutin to help brighten dark spots or hyperpigmentation. So I alternate with those!
Love using COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to have a dewy glow and helps with skin texture and pigmentation issues
I’ve recently added The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% to help with acne and oily skin and love it too.
I top with a thin layer of Clindamycin gel and then moisturizer which I alternate also between a few different ones. BEEKMAN 1802 - Bloom Cream Daily Probiotic Moisturizer has great ingredients but a funky old woman smell I do not like, thank goodness I only have a sample size.... Honest has a great soothing moisturizer I’ve tried and also ARBONNE has a great calming moisturizer as well as a lightweight jelly moisturizer I go between.
Then I do a few drops of The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and I’m done. I usually let it sit for awhile or at least a good 5 minutes while I do my eye makeup and eyeliner before I use any face makeup but I love the texture of my skin so far using this all together.

Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 3
Hey y’all! Today’s post is part 3 of 4 of my Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines series. In today’s post we’re covering @geralorentas and @robynkenner !
Starting with @geralorentas. She starts out by cleansing with theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which costs $13 for 8 fl oz. This cleanser has super gentle exfoliating agents, as well as glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are very hydrating.
Next she uses theRENÉE ROULEAU - Rapid Response Detox Toner which costs $41 for 6 fl oz. This toner, as far as toners go, is pretty good. Its main draws are Salicylic acid and Lactic acid which are great for dealing with acne.
Next she uses theSKIN GRAMMAR - Super Good Repair Essence which costs $38 for 5.7 fl oz. This essence has Nicinamide and glycerin, as well as a ton of ceramides. Unfortunately it has orange peel oil. Citrus oils a extracts are extremely irritating to the skin because they are acidic, so I have to say no to this essence.
Next she uses the RENÉE ROULEAU - Vitamin C&E Treatment which costs $69 for 1 fl oz. It has glycerin, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but again it has citrus oils and extracts which make this another no for me.
Then to moisturize she goes in with the#Dr. zenovia - Peptide + Ceramide Moisturizer[products]#[FourStars] which costs $79 for 1.7 fl oz. This moisturizer has ceramides and glycerin.
Finally she goes in with theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Anti-shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ which I couldn’t find the price for. It’s a really good basic sunscreen.
So that’s @geralorentas routine. For her I would recommend getting rid of the essence and the treatment, but otherwise the products seem great!
Moving on to @robynkenner. She starts with a double cleanse, and we’ll talk in a minute about what she’s doing wrong. She starts with the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which costs $7.90 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredients in this are squalane and glycerin. A lot of people complain that this cleanser is so gentle is barely cleans, but it seems to work for @robynkenner.
Then she uses theMurad - Clarifying Cleanser which costs $32 for 6.75 fl oz. The main draw for this product is Salicylic acid, but again it’s a no because of citrus oils and extracts as well as fragrance.
Now I mentioned that she’s double cleansing wrong. Double cleansing isn’t just using 2 cleansers, it’s specifically using an oil based cleanser and then a water based cleanser. (Check out my post on double cleansing for more information) In this case, @robynkenner is using 2 water based cleansers which can be stripping to the skin, and isn’t considered double cleansing. She mentioned she started doing this because her skin didn’t feel clean with just the first cleanse, and I think this might be because the Squalane Cleanser is too gentle.
Next she uses theNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream which costs $25 for .5 fl oz. First off, eye cream should be at the end of a routine. The eye cream itself is great though.
Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which costs $8.70 for 8 fl oz. I talked about this product in pt. 1, but in short it’s really good.
And finally she uses the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which costs $36 for 6 fl oz. This is a nice super thick basic moisturizer.
So in conclusion @robynkenner, I’d try to find a new cleanser, then just add your eye cream after moisturizer instead of early in the routine.
That’s all for pt. 3! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your favorite cleansers to help out @robynkenner, and follow me to join the family and for similar content.

My current products that I’m trying out.
My least favorite is the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, it’s sticky and I’m pretty sure it likes to rub off my skin. Not sure what the issue is with it.
Also the creams like to rub off my skin as well. Any tips for this issue, is the product to heavy for me?
Non of these leave me waking up with a glow or refreshed feeling, but I think they are helping my skin but I do wish I had a mask or something that I can use and wake up with some moisture.

Niacinamide serum ✨
This is one of the best serums out there. I would honestly suggest for all skin types especially oily!
Takes some times for changes but worth it. Absorbs quickly and feels good on face🤎
What it does:
minimizes pores 🌟
controls oil on face💧
brightens ☀️
You can purchase it at Ulta and Sephora!

I bought a bunch of The Ordinary and here is my fav👍🏻&meh👎🏻
I bought a bunch of The Ordinary just to see if they are actually good. Here are my favs and mehs.
Fav: 💓💓💓
1) The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%
Effects: Anti-oxidating and brightens skin complexion
Evaluation: I have used SkinCeuticals PREVENT C E Ferulic serum in the past, but it didn't feel as good as The Ordinary Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%. This Resveratrol is a very niche product. Someone gave it to me but I didn't care too much about it at first. After using it for a while, I realized it brightened my dull skin.
How To Use It: It has an oily texture, so you can treat it as a serum if you have dry or combination-dry skin and you can also mix it with a toner if you have oily skin.
2) The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
Effects: It cleans acne and scrubs off dead skin cells, and it's great as a daily chemical peel
Evaluation: It's a little pungent but the results are really good. After using this toning solution, the bumps on my nasal wings are almost gone.
How To Use It: I first used it 4 times a week, but went on to use it 2 to 3 times a week when my skin condition improved. After washing my face, I'll dab some of this toning solution on a cotton pad and wipe it across my face and neck. Avoid using it around your eyes and use it only once a day.
3) The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG
Effects: Reduces swelling and dark circles
Evaluation: It does a great job at helping to reduce swelling. I went to bed late the night before which gave me a swollen face and eyes, so I used it on my entire face. You can see an obvious reduction in swelling in just a short time.
How To Use It: Normally, I use it as an eye cream. I only use it on my entire face for special occasions.
4) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA
Effects: Eliminates bumps and dead skin cells, and can be used as a daily chemical peel
Evaluation: Lactic acid is much more gentle than glycolic acid but the result is not as obvious. Lactic acid also feels better to use compared with glycolic acid, so I'll definitely repurchase it. If you have sensitive skin, you can start with a 5% concentration of lactic acid.
How To Use It: I'll dab some of this lactic acid on a cotton pad and wipe it across my face and neck but not around my eyes. I also avoid using it on my cheeks.
Meh: 💔💔💔
The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Effect: Whitening
Evaluation: I applied sufficient sunscreen but still didn't see any effect in terms of skin brightening. It also becomes pasty, so I won't repurchase it again!
I hope this is helpful. How do you like The Ordinary? 😜

Why You Need Niacinamide In Your Life Right Now
Ingredient Breakdown - Niacinamide Edition 🖤
Niacinamide is my absolute favorite skincare ingredient absolutely everyone can benefit from.
Benefits:
Regulates Oil Production
Reduces Redness/Inflammation
Treats Hyperpigmentation
Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Protects Skin From Environmental Aggressors
Personally, my skin type is dehydrated yet oily skin with post acne hyperpigmentation and redness/inflammation. This has done wonders for evening out my skin tone and reducing a lot of the redness in my skin. I recently stopped using it for 8 day’s now to try something else out and it made me realize how much it kept my redness at bay. It also has really regulated my oil production which in turn has made my pores appear smaller (because excess oil isn’t constantly being clogged). I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner daily, followed up by the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum , and then I use the CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream (which contains niacinamide to help with dark circles) and I have really seen it’s brightening affect and oil control properties. I’ve been using it for at least half a year now if not longer but you should start to see some results in 6-12 weeks. It’s something you really need to be using daily.
For its protection and anti wrinkle properties literally everyone can use this product but if you have enlarged pores, acne, hyperpigmentation and/or oily skin this will absolutely be your best friend. If anyone watches Skincare by Hyram on YouTube he talks about this a lot. It’ll regulate your oil production therefor excess oil will not be produced and clog the pores (which paired with weekly exfoliation will help reduce acne). While it’s doing that it’s brightening properties will help even out the skin tone and address any post acne hyperpigmentation and inflammation.

Help me make a skincare regime?
Hi guys!
I’ve recently started out with skincare and started using The Ordinary. I have no clue where to start but I have started using niacinamide, vitamin c (at night) and natual moisturising factors AM and PM.
I only just read up about the niacinamide and vitamin c conflict after applying. I did feel some tingles and a bit of heat.
Would anyone be able to help me find out a regime as to when to use throughout the week and morning and night, or even possibly suggest (cheap) suggestions regarding my skincare concerns or what you can see from my photos?
my skincare concerns are:
dullness, no colour
mild texture regarding pores and fine lines during the day
dryness at times
dark circles
redness on cheeks
oily areas at times
thank you to whoever is able to help. stay safe!

Tips & Tricks To Glowing Skin
One of my biggest skin issues is dullness. Aside from the complication that is combination skin, I really dislike how lackluster my complexion can be sometimes. It can be really noticeable in photos which is part of the reason why I’m not really fond of taking selfies.
What really helped me achieve a nice glow is niacinamide and glycolic acid. I discovered this by searching for skincare guides online and trying out different products. Honestly, I was a bit scared to experiment at first but I was also really excited, especially when I started seeing the effects.
Simply put, glycolic acid strips away all my dead skin, revealing the fresh skin underneath. Meanwhile, niacinamide gradually lightens my dark spots. This results in fresh, glowing skin. It’s an amazing combination that really made my skin change for the better.
I’m using a total of five products for my ‘glowing skin’ routine:
1. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
2. Nacific Phyto Niacin Whitening Essence
3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
4. Mimi White AHA Serum
5. PASSION & BEYOND - Phyto Aqua Cream
Take note that I don’t use all of this within the same routine. That’s because not all of them are compatible with each other, specifically niacinamide and AHA. Using them in the same routine can cause flushing and redness. In addition, it will also raise the pH of the AHA which will make it less effective. It’s simply not worth using them together.
For instance, I use TO Glycolic Toner, Nacific Phyto Niacin Essence, and TO Niacinamide Serum at night. Meanwhile, in the mornings when I’m not planning to go out, I take one scoop of Phyto Aqua Essence into my palm and add a few drops of AHA serum. When I do have to go out, I don’t use the AHA serum because it can increase my chances of getting sunburned.
Try these products and see if they work for you too! 💋
PASSION & BEYOND- Phyto Aqua Cream
The Ordinary has changed my routine 😊
Ive always has decent skin but would get random breakouts. I also started breaking out when stressed and was having some dullness and dehydration! To jump in :
The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I really like this toning solution! It doesn’t dry me out and is actually quite moisturizing. It’s great if you experience irritation because the aloe vera in it really provides soothing properties for irritated skin. It helps with gentle exfoliation when I use it at night and I get the exfoliating cotton pads from Target and that helps add some extra penetration to my skin! My face has visibly gotten a more even texture. The only reason it has 4 instead of 5 stars is because you can only use it at night because it doesn’t react well to sun exposure.
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I am in love with this peel! It visibly improves blemishes and has lightened my dark marks a bit! I love that it’s something I can do at home and still get my deep exfoliation I need. My skin feels and looks radiant. I will say start only using this once a week as it can sting a bit. After you feel you have adjusted you can up it to two times a week depending on how you need it! I’ve currently upgraded to two times a week.
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 If you suffer from any sort of dryness this is for you! I’m combination skin but can get dry around my cheek area and just wanted overall more moisture. This is a God send. From the first day I used it my skin was so hydrated. Because Hyaluronic Acid absorbs so much in water this is best used on wet/damp skin. I use it after cleansing AM and PM. I put my moisturizer on directly after so that way more moisture is being sucked in to my skin. Definitely a game changer.
The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane I wanted to love this product but I really just like it. For my skin it seems to make me feel too greasy. I use it as my step before my moisturizer and it was just ok. I hate to feel oily and this can make my skin feel that way if I use any more than one drop. Now I mix one drop maybe two in my moisturizer at night. It’s less overwhelming for my skin that way. Once I started using it that way it gave an extra boost of hydration to my nightly routine.
All in All has really helped my skin!
SIDE NOTE: All of these products are vegan and cruelty free!

Any suggestion? Rate my new routine🙌🙌
Heyyyy guys!
I'm 24, a postgraduate student in CA. I have combination skin with acne on my chin. I hate ance and wanna change my routine products😿!!! After doing some research on Cherie, I have saved some of the Ordinary products. Hope this post could help you a lot!! And it would be sooo great if you guys could give some suggestions about these items.
The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this eye serum is so popular on Cherie. I have some dark circles under my eyes, and wanted to brighten them. I cannot live without drinking and playing video games in the midnight, so I really need eye serum to save my life lollll
The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% I'm not sure about the effect of this product. The official website said it works for all skin types.
The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HAMy friends told me it's the best one for the price. Is it real?😂
The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution This one contains 7% glycolic acid, amino acids, aloe vera, ginseng, and tasmanian pepperberry. I don't know what are they actually lolll.
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I think this item is super powerful so I need to try it more cautious- shorter amounts of time and only once or twice a week. I think it's more suitable for oily skin : )
Any suggestions for my new routine products? Hope it can help you find your favorite products lol.
Thank you sooo much xoxo!!
