I grew my hair long and strong
I was always a heat styling person, I never embraced my natural curly hair and I always used to flat iron them my whole life. Until back in November I stopped using heat styling tools, especially flat iron and my hair is this long now!! My hair always grow fast, and genetically I know my hair can grow knee length. My mom had very long, luscious hair in her teenage and I got that inherited in me. Blessed! 😊 But seriously, what can help hair grow longer and healthier?? I believe the following tips and products can help: 1. Eliminate heat styling as much as you can. This is the first step in finally focusing and be able to invest your time and money in reversing the damage. 2. If you have curly/wavy textured, coarsed hair... start embracing it. It's okay to not have flat managed hair all the time. You can always use some nourishing oil like Moroccan oil to tame the frizz. 3. Incorporate Fatty acids,Omega and Vitamin E in your food. Fish is a great option but if you're vegan/vegetarian, Greens, whole grains and fruits are great option. 4. Maintain your hormonal levels with diet and light exercise. I'm not pointing out towards not eating junk (which I adore myself) and not exercising daily. Just a little for you to feel good is enough😊✨ 5. Use nourishing hair oils and masks to pamper your hair weekly. 6. Last but not the least, use gentle products that will help you with your desired hair texture and finish. I'm listing down the products I've neen enjoying and they're really helping me maintain my waves and curls so that I don't feel the need to heat style my hair often 👍 Also these products are my Holy grails now, they're very affordable and work amazing for curly and wavy hair types💖✨ @cantubeauty Shea butter Shampoo and Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Hydrating Cream Conditioner

This organic brand repairs your split ends!
How is your dry, damaged hair( No offense)? When I was young, I had smooth and shiny hair that everyone admired. But after I permed and dyed it to pursue fashion, my hair was severely damaged and became coarse, dull and forficate. Everytime I see my bad hair, I felt regretful. Since damage has already been done, I turned to ways to repair my hair. Of all the products I've tried, I was impressed by a brand named Aveda. I think I have to share its damage remedy conditioner with you because it’s really so good! AVEDA - Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair Aveda advocates the use of natural herbs to balance the hair from the inside out. More than 50% of the ingredients in all Aveda products come from natural extracts including plant and minerals, which is mild and safely used. So Aveda is absolutely a trusted organic brand! This conditioner contains pure flower and plant essences such as hippophae rhamnoides extract, linum usitatissimum and medicago sativ, etc. Its quinoa protein has definitely repair effect since hair is mainly made up of protein. This item provides the hair nutrients, detangles and protects hair from breakage. Its thin lotion texture is very refreshing, without any greasy feeling. Your hands don't need to wash even after using. This product is great on wet or dry hair, but I usually put it on wet hair, especially on the damaged ends and then comb. With the effect of preventing heat damage from blow dryer, everytime I blowdry my hair, I don't end up with a lot of fuzzy hair, leaving it smell good, too! I have blonde, dyed, thin hair with body, not curl and this really makes my hair shiny. I also can tell the difference with the strength of the ends. This product has really helped restore moisture and strength. It 's a bit expensive, but I only use a dime-sized amount on my shoulder length hair. So it can last a long time. Worth the money!
The BEST product for split ends 💕
I got this hair serum from a FabFitFun box a while ago and honestly WOW!! It’s super difficult for me to grow my hair out because somehow it gets damaged, I don’t use heat on my hair at all, no hair dryer or styling tools but I still can’t manage to grow out healthy hair. I’ve tried all the possible hair masks and leave-in conditioners but I’d never seen any visible improvement. Now I’m aware that once you get split ends there’s no way to just glue them back together and you have to 💇♀️ but I was looking for a product that would make them less visible and the bottom of my hair less dry and I HAVE FOUND IT!! AVEDA - Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair - I use a quarter size amount on damp hair about 1-2 times a week and my hair loves it! It feels so smooth after using this serum and my split ends are not even visible. This product really makes a difference for me and I will definitely be repurchasing!! That being said, trimming hair periodically is still recommended for maintaining healthy hair. If there are any other products that help with damaged hair or oily hair I would love to hear suggestions!

When you’re not quite curly enough...
I’ve tried the curly girl method, getting a curly hair approved hair cut, using the “correct” products for my hair and all of that got me mixed results. The curly girl method itself just backfired on me horribly and I spent a good amount of time trying to get the texture I knew and loved back. Enter IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm I used to use this product when I was a Sephora shopaholic a few years ago. I quit using it due to price and wanting to try something more tailored to my hair. What I learned is, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” My current routine is this: TRADER JOE'S - Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo with Peppermint GARNIER - Fructis Sleek & Shine Conditioner (I’ll be trying a new conditioner soon and posting about that) plopping my hair for 15 min with a 100% cotton shirt then applying the IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm air dry afterwards! I’m hoping to continue to work on my hair but I’m happy to see the curls I know and love back again after this product. (Now if it were only a little cheaper....)
👩🏼Blonde hair YAYS N NAYS👩🏼🦳
My hair is naturally black and straight, but I’ve had it processed over the years to be a silvery-blonde color that I maintain with blonde hair care products. As my hair is damaged, dry, and needs color toning products, I am very picky about what I use. Here are some YAYS and NAYS that I’ve picked up from Sephora. YAYS IGK - Mixed Feelings Blonde Essentials Set ($21.50 and worth $44) Okay fam, if you can, get this set! It’s got a full sized IGK - Mixed Feelings Purple Leave-In Blonde Toning Drops ($29) that you can add to any product to help tone the brassiness out of your hair and I absolutely adore it. I mix it with my post shower hair oil and with IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm ($15) to create leave-in products that are blonde friendly. Such a good price for effective products YAY KÉRASTASE - Blond Absolu Anti-Brass Purple Shampoo KÉRASTASE - Blond Absolu Strengthening Conditioner This violet pigmented shampoo and conditioner are a perfect pair for keeping brassiness out of my hair. I liked the sample set I got so much that I’m going to splurge and buy the full size ($35 for 250 mL shampoo, $40 for 250 mL conditioner). I leave the shampoo on my hair for about five minutes to let it sink in, and no, I don’t leave the water on. The shampoo tones and hydrates and conditioner makes my hair smooooth and shiny. My only issue with it is the mega price tag, especially when Matrix and Joico make a similar and less expensive product. NAY ALTERNA - CAVIAR Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Conditioner ALTERNA - CAVIAR Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture Shampoo ($34 for 250 mL each) So, I thought this was a blonde friendly product because of the purple packaging… my mistake.I have SO many issues with this product, and the ingredients are the biggest issue. It uses CAVIAR EXTRACT Like the fish eggs. I wish I had read that before trying this out, because I try to only use vegan products and this IS NOT IT. It also contains seasilk which is supposed to protect your hair from heat damage. This shampoo and conditioner is also supposed to be anti-aging for hair, which is not a good way to sell it, as hair is already dead cells. Damage prevention is a better tagline, but my hair didn’t feel any lighter or nicer after these products.
Leave-in conditioner will change your life
Ive never been able to go without hair conditioner, and when I started going blonde, I needed it even more! Bleaching dries out your hair so much as we all know, and the ends can be so dry and fried 🙈 I was introduced to AG hair - Moisture Fast Food Leave-On Conditioner a year or so ago and I dont think I’ll ho back to any others. Its beautifully thick, nourishing and moisturizing but its blends easily in my hair- it doesnt go on chunky and make your hair pasty and stick together. It very easy to blend it into all the desired hair strands. Ive found it very helpful on my dry, damaged ends, especially since dying my hair blonde. O love the creamy texture it has- makes it easy to blend. So I usually apply this after a shower, after ive brushed my hair and slightly dampened. When hair is too wet, i feel like the cream doesnt take, theyll just slide off, and if hair is too dry, the cream might make the hair look pasty and chunky. I think the right amount of dampness is key for the application. This also helps for styling 👏🏼 You can get the smaller tube for 24$ while the larger bottle is 58$. The smaller tube lasts me a long time so I prefer the tube for financial reasons- but i font use much since my hair thin and I only use it on ends. I feel like thicker and/or curly hair would need more and could benefit from the larger bottle. #cheriepartner
Empty- AG Fast Food leave in conditioner
Got this as a gift with purchase with my AG shampoo and conditioner from Trade Secrets. 5/5, would definitely repurchase after I finish another brands hair oil that I dont like as much
Alcohol free shampoo?? Its a thing!!!
After reading the ingredients on my cantu shampoo/conditioner, I discovered they had different types of alcohol in them. Why??? Just like in skincare, alcohol isnt a necessary ingredient in your hair care, i did some research and found PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo and PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Conditioner they SAVED MY HAIR!! The shampoo has ZERO alcohol in it and the conditioner only has ONE!! Which is so much less than my old cantu and other curly hair products. They also smell AMAZING!! Theyre made with all ORGANIC AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS! I truly love this brand!!
my curl routine 🧖🏻♀️
The tried and true products: PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Conditioner I’ve been using this conditioner for over a year and it is the best thing that has EVER happened to my curls. I switched to the Herbal Essence curl conditioner for a short time and the results were definitely not the same. The smell is pretty nice as well, and it doesn’t make my hair feel greasy. it's a 10 haircare - Miracle Leave-In Product if this was less expensive it would be an absolute staple on my bathroom counter — the price is truly the only drawback. It smells like you’ve just come back from a salon, and leaves your hair frizz free and full of life. The travel size actually goes a long way for 1/3 of the price! The new stuff: SheaMoisture - Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie I like this product, the way it smells, and it’s ingredients but overall I haven’t noticed a huge difference in the life of my curls. But I’ve heard really good reviews of it before so I’m hoping it’ll do better with prolonged use! PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo I love this stuff, but wouldn’t swear by it as much as the conditioner. I feel like overall it’s just another shampoo — but it definitely cleans my hair and doesn’t leave it greasy or anything like that. I just haven’t noticed much difference in my curls between this and the HE that I used to use.

COMBINATION HAIR CARE ROUTINE 💆🏽♀️
Combination hair; it’s so little talked about but many of us are dealing with it! What is it: Combination hair is usually when an individual has an oily scalp with dry ends. This translates to the oils from the scalp are having trouble working their way down to the ends. Who is more prone to have this hair type: -curly hair -frizzy hair -long hair How I care for it: -It’s important to realize you are essentially trying to treat 2 different hair types at once. (Ex: Using hair products for dry hair will not help the oiliness.) -SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER : instead of using the same shampoo and conditioners. Buy a clarifying shampoo specified for oily hair and a moisturizing conditioner for dry ends. I shampoo and condition 2x a week. -MASKING: it makes sense to use 2 different hair masks for the two different concerns. I mask 1x a week. For my scalp I use a clarifying mask in the shower and for my ends, I apply a moisturizing repair mask to damp hair. -CARE TIPS: * use a detangler spray on your hair before brushing out. It will help cause less damage. * Use a boar bristle brush daily to help spread the natural scalp oils down the skin. * Use a wide tooth comb in the shower after conditioning. * On those days where your scalp is looking a little greasy, opt for a dry shampoo. * On those days you want more shine to your ends, use a hair oil. Just make sure not to apply to the scalp! I have been sticking to this routine for about a month and I have noticed less knots and tangles, shinier ends and a more manageable oily scalp. How To Detangle Hair Without Damaging It
I have fine medium length wavy hair. I have been really focusing on trying to grow it longer. The key to growing it longer is keeping it from getting damaged. My hair tangles very easily after washing it and when I sleep on it. With trial and error with all types of products and tools, I discovered my go steps to less damage and detangling the right way. I purchased the Wet brush that is meant for detangling hair. I never realized that brushing my hair with the incorrect brush when my hair is wet or dry can really do damage over time. This brush was really life changing for my hair. I use it on my wet hair once I am out of the shower or even sometimes in the shower after conditioning. The bristles are really soft and when you use it, it doesn’t pull at your hair at all. I start from the bottom of my hair and work my way up. I have noticed I was losing a lot less hair when I started using this. It is worth trying to prevent further damage in the future. I will not go without it. There is also a product I will use while brushing my hair wet that helps with any knots. It is the Dry Bar Prep Rally, Prime and prep detangler. This product has definitely been a game changer with my hair. Not only does it help with any tangles, it also is heat protectant. So, when you use any hot tools, blow dryer, straightener, or curling iron it will help protect your hair from any damage. I will apply only when my hair is wet all over. This is something I will not go without after washing my hair. I lose less hair and after blowing drying it leaves it soft and smooth and smelling amazing.
Curly Hair Daily Routine
Finally I found a topic that many thin hair girl or curly hair girl might be interested in, that is how to treat my curly hair. I was straight hair for years. I’ve always wanted to go curly because of the volume and big hair that I was always dream of. I personally hesitated a long time before go curly just because of the concern of washing and taking care of curly hair. And here comes my personal hacks! Curly hair gives you the volume and easy to get a style. It is even easier to create a beautiful bun comparing with straight hair. My hair care routine is a little bit different when I went curly. No worries it is not gonna make it harder, it’s just some tips to be noticed. You know when to wash your curls when they start to get way down when they really tingly and a lot more dryer than regular hair. It is important to wash it less often than you would with regular hair. Tip #1. Condition hair first. I did the same way before getting my curls. But with curly it even more important to detangling with conditioner. I also put it on my root cus I do have tangles there. And I would put 2 coins amount all over my curls Tip #2. Be extra gentle when washing it. And let hair mask to stay longer (at least over 15 min) Tip #3. Use a cotton towel to soak your wet hair, DO NOT RUB. ! You don’t want to create extra frizz to your hair. We want the healthy and bouncy hair. Tip #4. Put treatment on damp hair. Do not wait till completely dryOLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector -Limited Edition Tip # 5 Let it dry naturally ! ! This step is gonna make your hair look healthier and more shinny. Effect would double if you apply an oil. OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil Do not panic if you see a lot strands after washing. People lose 100 strands/ day, unlike straight hair you lose it over the washroom, your curls will hold them till you washes them. These are my tips for curly hair wash routine. Hope you like it!

Grow your hair with a ✨Long Hair Care Routine✨
Long hair, especially curly hair like mine, can be very difficult to maintain. I’ve had long hair for about 5 years now and I have found that it’s better to use less products overall and more importantly the right ones. After years of testing products, I found what works! 💊Taking vitamins can help to strengthen hair and promote growth as well (previous post.) 💪 To keep my hair strong, I avoid blow drying and straightening. I probably do it once or twice a year. 🔑 Key - hair can’t maintain length if it’s prone to breakage and split ends. It’s important to strengthen it, if you want long, healthy hair. 💁🏻♀️My Daily Long Hair Care Routine Step 1 Shampoo 2-3 times per week MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Shampoo I shampoo 2-3x per week, but less is also ok if your hair requires a little more or less depending on the levels of dryness or oiliness. Focus on the roots and work downward. It’s important not to dry out long hair as it can become prone to breaking. I’ve used this brand for a while and my hair became healthier and less prone to breakage, split ends and more voluminous overall. Sulfate and paraben free! Step 2 Condition MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Conditioner I condition my hair almost every time I a shower. For long hair, especially wavy and curly hair, hydration is key for maintenance. This conditioner is perfect because it leaves my hair feeling nourished, shiny and soft. Sulfate and paraben free! Step 3 Leave In Treatment MARC ANTHONY TRUE PROFESSIONAL - Grow Long Caffeine Ginseng Rapid Grow Leave In I use this right after a shower. I towel dry my hair and liberally apply as needed. It’s an excellent detangler and I have overall less breakage and loss when brushing my hair. Sulfate and paraben free! MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment After my hair is mostly brushed through, I use 1.5-2 pumps of Moroccan oil on my whole head. It tames my frizz while conditioning and smoothing. Sometimes I’ll apply it dry to style as well. I’ve been a fan of this for years and it never fails. Sulfate and paraben free! Step 4 Style ogx - Moroccan Curling Perfection Defining Cream Once my hair is ready for styling, I’ll add a small amount of this, especially to stop flyaways. It’s lightweight and absorbs well. Definitely a better alternative than gems or mousse.

Wanna Mermaid Worthy Hair？Trust Me! Try This Haircare Routine!👩🦰👩🦰👩🦰
My hair was always frizzy, pouffy, did weird flippy things when it felt like it and it was just an overall hassle to tame. After years of trials and tribulations, money wasted and damaged hair due to the heat, I finally expolered the haircare routine that works perfectly on me. I'd like to share it with you guys and hope its helpful for you. 1. wash my hair once a week For someone with curly hair, washing with shampoo every day would strip away the hair’s natural oils and making it more dry and more frizzy. 2. I use shampoo with zero or minimal sulfates Lately the shampoos that have worked greatly for my dry and curly hair is the DevaCurl - No-Poo Original Zero Lather Conditioning Cleanser. This shampoo produces zero lather (which takes a while to get used to) and the grape seed, peppermint and rosemary in it keeps my hair soft and frizz-free. TheLUSH - Rehab Shampoo is another great shampoo if I want to switch it up. I only lather a loonie-size dollop of shampoo on my entire scalp. Tips: I never apply shampoo on the ends of my hair, just my scalp. 3.I use silicone-free conditioner It smells amazing and a little goes a long way with this one and it works wonders on my hair. The olive fruit oil, hops and quinoa in this conditioner makes my hair incredibly soft, but my hair still feels light and bouncy since there are no heavy silicones and parabens to weigh it down or make it greasy, like your average conditioners. I smooth out about 3-4 pumps of this conditioner on the ends of my hair only, starting from my ear, down to the ends. I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 5 minutes before rinsing off and revealing silky hair that smells enchanting. Tips: Never apply conditioner directly on the scalp and focus on the ends, because that is the driest part. 4. I rinse my hair with cold water I always finish off my final rinse with very cold water. It’s worth the 10 seconds of frigid discomfort. The cold water basically eliminates frizz and feels refreshing on the scalp. 5. I pat my hair dry with a cotton T-shirt Never rub your curly hair in a towel! That will make your hair frizzy. Instead, grab a cotton T-shirt and pat gently. I pat my hair, focusing on the ends mostly, to absorb excess water to prepare it for the next step below. 6. I use styling product on wet hair The best advice I could give to styling curly hair: apply your styling product on wet hair. I have used a number of decent curling creams in the past but lately I have been digging thisLOVEurSELF - All-In-One: Curly. It has great ingredients, doesn’t feel heavy, and the curl power lasts all week. With this product, I get bouncy spiral curls for the first half of the week, and by the end of the week my hair winds down to flowy waves, and my hair never feels greasy. 7. I use a diffuser to dry my hair Diffusers distribute heat a little more sparingly so it’s not as damaging. I diffuse until my hair is about 80% dry, I give a brief cold air blast and then I finish off with the final step below. 8. I use a leave-in treatment to set my curls This LUSH - R&B Hair Moisturizeris a Holy Grail product for me. It’s the perfect finishing touch to use after I’m done diffusing my hair. 9. I use coconut oil as a deep conditioning hair mask I’ll slather it on my ends, comb it out through my entire hair, give myself a little scalp massage, twist my hair up in a bun and let it absorb the coconut oil all day or overnight by wearing a disposable hair cap and placing a towel on my pillowcase. Do you have any ideas on curly hair routine. I'd love to discuss it with U!
Best Leave-In Conditioners for Type 3A Curls
Happy Sunday everyone, As promised, here are the best leave-in conditioners that I have/or continue to use that have worked best on me. Just a reminder that I have type 3A curls and have also thin hair, so it may not work best for everyone. However, I just wanted to share them because they are also pretty underrated and unknown in the industry. aussie - Miracle Curls with Coconut Oil Paraben Free Detangling Milk Treatment The name speaks for itself honestly. This is my FAVORITE leave in conditioner so far. I cannot emphasize the difference in my hair when I used this product and then switched to try other leave-ins. The difference was so overwhelming that I decided to stick with it. You will notice that I use a lot of conditioning that has milk and has detangling properties because part of taking care of our hair is keeping it moistured (NOT WITH PURE OILS) and not allowing it to get too tangled. I will post, in the near future, other tips on how to minimize tangling in curly hair, so stay tuned! I also like that this product has small quantities of Coconut and Jojoba oil. While I NEVER recommend buying and applying pure oil, the fact that these are blended with milk allows for the properties of these oils to work more effectively without clogging your hair shafts. Coconut oil helps PROVIDE more moisture, while Jojoba oil helps SEAL in that moisture. Also, jojoba oil is the oil most similar to out bodies’ natural sebum, so this eases into our hair much more effectively that the other oils. You won’t see these mixtures in common products, so I highly recommend. Carol's Daughter - Hair Milk 4-in-1 ''Combing'' Crème This is another great product that I also use! What I do is use the Miracle Curls right after I wash my hair and style it. I use the Carol’s Daughter product on a daily basis to retouch my hair before going out. It’s really nice to use due to its detangling, styling, defining, and shining properties! And without the need of adding oils, which I like. novex by EMBELLEZE - My Curls Memorizer Leave In A product from Brazil that I really love! I’m definitely thinking of going back to this once the Carol’s Daughter product is completely consumed to see how it works alongside the Miracle Curls. The uniqueness of this product is the use of cranberry which help maintain a healthy and non-irritant scalp with its antioxidant, antibacterial, AND anti-inflammatory properties. And it also has a blend of oils in SMALL quantities that help moisturize and seal that moisture for a healthy hair without clogging the hair shafts. Please let me know how your hair feels if you decide to try these products for yourself! I would love to see if these posts are helping anyone, as that is the goal! Take care!

Say “BYE” to your rough hair!
I have unfortunately been cursed with rough, thick, coarse hair. With my hair, you will only ever see me in a ponytail or a messy bum, because I am unable to deal with it most of the time. And the few times I need to look a little presentable, I need a clear window of at least three hours in my schedule to be able to work my hair into a decent hairstyle. This being said, I have tried a lot of things to fix my hair, and I have settled on the following solutions. For the first one, I have to mention my trusted hair conditioner, the REDKEN - All Soft Conditioner. I purchased this product about three months ago for $27, and I can tell a huge progress in the texture of my hair. Before, as you can see in the images, my hair was frizzy and a coarse mess. But after using this conditioner twice a week for the last three months, I have seen a HUGE positive difference! It smells so good with a coconut flavour, and the conditioner applies smoothly on to the hair. The second product I really love to use when I need to tame my hair is the MOROCCANOIL - Hydrating Styling Cream. I got this at Sephora for $34 about the same time that I got my _ conditioner. It might seem pricy, but the product lasts a while and actually works for my hair type! I started by using this product before styling using heat, but I prefer to use it after every wash as I see that my hair gets smooth and easy to style that way. It smells great too. My hair used to be dull and dry after washes, but since I got this, the frizz is controlled and my hair is sleek and shiny, and it also feels so healthy! Don’t double think about getting this, 10/10 recommend it!

How to straighten curly hair without chemicals? My secret is...
I used to have fizzy curly hair, and I looked for some methods about how to minimize the damage when straigtening my curly hair. You can see from the picture that the result is not bad😜 I'm going to show you several easy steps. 1. Wash your hair The first thing you need to prepare is a frizz-fighting shampoo and conditioner, and I recommend L'ORÉAL - EverPure Sulfate Free Frizz-Defy Shampoo L'ORÉAL - EverPure Sulfate Free Frizz-Defy Conditioner. They cost about $30. 2. Use a thermal protectant When you’re about to blow out your hair, something that is an absolute must is thermal heat protectant. Before you pick up your blow-dryer, you need to prep your damp strands with a heat protectant spray. As we all know that heat can be damaging to hair of all types, which is why it’s crucial to use a heat protectant beforehand—regardless of your hair type. Before blow dry, just spray onto hair in sections and brush through to make sure it’s evenly distributed. 3. Choose the right dryer A great hair-dryer can minimize potential blowout damage, and it is the most basic thing you should prepare at first. Look on the website or ask your friends and trying to figure out which one works best for you requires. 4. Buy the right hair straightener The most important part is to choose the right flat iron. I do recommend GHD ORIGINAL IV PROFESSIONAL STYLER. It heats in just 30 seconds. 185ºC is perfect for all your hair styling needs and will not cause significant damage. But you can choose other hair straighteners according to your budget. The following tips you should remember: Using a good quality hair straightener 5. Add hairspray/oil You could apply some in the form of a hairspray however, I prefer to apply a mixture of essential oil with a carrier oil. That's my way of straightening curly hair without chemicals. I hope you guys will like this tutorial! If you have any questions, comment down below!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
