✔️Results! Let's get rid of Hyperpigmentation! ✨
If you know me for my Acne journey, you know I managed to leave my hormonal acne at bay. For few weeks I've been focusing on my Acne scars (dark spots) or Hyperpigmentation. For my Indian/brown skin it is inevitable to take care of my Post inflammatory Hyperpigmentation as it tends to get worse with time and sun exposure. The key to start with gettind rid of hyperpigmentation is Sunscreen. Mostly an SPF 30+. It is very important to calm those Melanocytes (cells that produce Melanin) and stop/reduce inter-cell transfer of melanin once it's produced. ✨This can be done with the help of these ingredients : 1. Niacinamide - Brightens skin, reduces Inter-transfer of melanin, Calms melanocytes 2. Alpha Arbutin - Brightening agent, stops excessive melanin production 3. L-Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) - Brightens and lightens dark spots 4. Azelaic acid - Brightens, gently exfoliates and calms Melanocytes 5. AHAs and Retinol - Increase cell turnover and exfoliate skin for brightening of hyperpigmentation. These all are my current favorites and are absolutely effective. Their formulation is so good I have been able to enjoy using them. ✨AM routine : 1. PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner 2. This is the dr.ceuracle Royal Vita Propolis 33 Ampoule. It’s formulated with 50% propolis extract and 10% Seabuckthorn tree extract. The propolis extract has antioxidative and anti-inflammatory properties plus seabuckthorn is naturally inflammatory as well! . ℍ𝕠𝕨 𝕕𝕠𝕖𝕤 𝕚𝕥 𝕗𝕖𝕖𝕝? . This consistency of this serum is pretty watery, almost like an essence. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky at all. I use two droppers worth of the serum to cover my face and upper neck area. . 𝔻𝕠𝕖𝕤 𝕚𝕥 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜? . I used this twice a day for a week and a half and found that it’s slightly moisturizing but nothing amazing. It’s a decent serum but I wouldn’t go out of my way to use it or replace one of my other serums with it, so I wouldn’t buy another bottle. .
Amazing green tea calming serum
About a month ago or so, I purchased the Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol on a whim due to the ingredients profile. Little did I know, it’d become one of my favorite serums. It’s a calming, moisturizing, and brightening serum that contains 76.49% green tea leaf water and 2% panthenol. Green tea contains EGCG (catechin) which is composed of tannins and polyphenols. These provide potent antioxidant and skin soothing benefits to the skin by helping to inhibit the synthesis of melanin from UV rays and remove free radicals that promote aging. This in turn helps improve the appearance of sun damaged skin. Other key ingredients in the formula include glycerin, centella asiatica, algae, mugwort, sodium hyaluronate, propolis, betaine, and allantoin. This has a lightweight and runny gel texture that immediately sinks into the skin while also restoring hydration to it. Once absorbed, you’re left with a smooth hydrating layer that just makes your skin look plump and bouncy. I preferred using this mostly during the day to maximize its antioxidant properties but it was also a great supplement to my evening routine as well. This serum quickly became a staple in my routines as it helped keep my skin calm and hydrated. The redness around my cheeks quickly disappeared upon application and my pores throughout the day looked as if they were flattened (smoother). I could even see that I wasn’t producing as much sebum as usual too. As far as brightening effects goes, my skin looked more even toned and less dull. Green tea surprisingly contains a large amount of vitamin c which contributed to how well this provided my skin with a healthy radiance. There’s also no fragrance added to this so there’s no discernible scent which is great for all my sensitive skin folk. Overall, I loved this serum and I’m quite sad to say that I’ve now emptied it. I already plan to repurchase this but I want to try out their other two serums first. Green tea has always been one of my favorite ingredients in skin care but it’s hard finding a serum without heavy fragrances or the right texture for my skin type. This is a winner for me. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Rating: 5/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #BeautyOfJoseon

Honeymoon Glow Night Serum
Let me start by saying, I have been drawn to the brand Farmacy for a while due to their Sephora Clean certified products, packaging, and product concepts. I was excited to get this sample to try out this night serum and test it’s impact on my skin. Having tried other brands night serums with AHA and seeing drastic results, the bar was set pretty high. However, Farmacy’s price point for this product is a bit more friendly than luxury brands. While this sample only contained enough for two trials, I was bummed to see minimal results. My skin texture was relatively unchanged, there was no decrease in dark spots, and no change in tone. Keep in mind, consistency of product use can drastically impact results. But if you’re looking for impressive overnight results, this isn’t for you. The residue is slightly tacky which was something I did not like about the product and also caused a bit of irritation, such as a burning sensation on one of my cheeks and overall warmth on my face with patches of redness. To end on a positive note: this product smells like sunflower🌻 Retails for $58.00 FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum

Wake up with glowy (but not oily) skin 😴
I👏🏼am👏🏼obsessed👏🏼with👏🏼glowy👏🏼skin. I am always trying to find products that give me super glowy and bright skin. I’ve really enjoyed vitamin c products and specifically with the SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C SerumI think their combo of vitamin c and vitamin e is amazing (but $$$). So I’m always looking for ways to obtain a similar result. Enter, freshly juiced vitamin e mask! The good: + The texture is SO cool. It’s almost like a jello consistency and then when you start to work it in with your hands it melts into this more watery texture. It’s very cool, I haven’t tried a product like it before. + Very lightweight on the skin. + When I combine this with a vitamin c serum at night, I will wake up and my skin feels so smooth and bright. I always feel good about my skin the next morning. + Key ingredients include: vitamin e (antioxidant that brightens and works well with vitamin c), niacinimide (brightens and controls oil) and adenosine (claims to help with anti-aging). + Definitely appears to be helping my vitamin c fade some of my acne scars. There’s one in particular on my forehead that I’ve noticed a huge change in over the last few weeks. + A little goes a long way. The not so good? - I believe this is advertised as both a moisturizer and a sleeping mask. I think honestly this works best as a sleeping mask. - If you cant stand products with a slightly sticky texture, this might not be for you. - Although they claim Adenosine is a key ingredient, it’s fairly far down the ingredient list. - If you are sensitive to essential oils, I would also stay away because this product definitely has some citrus oils included (although it does smell very nice). Is it worth it? So this mask is around $25-$30 depending on where you buy it. I do think that’s a pretty fair price point actually! A little goes a long way when you use the product and the results are good. To me, worth it! Will I repurchase? If this continues to help with my acne scars, then yes, 100%. Ps I have combination (right now, it seems more oily than usual) and acne prone skin.

I CC you Summer Fridays
What I noticed right away with this serum is that is has a lovely gentle scent! It’s just smells fresh and slightly citric without smelling like a real fragrance. It’s a regular serum consistency as its a bit thicker than a toner and is milky white. I didn’t have any reaction or irritation to this product which is huge for me! My skin has been bright and dewy and extra soft since I incorporated this into my routine. But what really gets me is that there is an actual reduction in the redness (thanks niacinamide!) and a reduction in the scarring thanks to the vitamin c! All in all I think this is a beautiful and simple way to get some necessary vitamin c! It’s the cutest little package too 🧡SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum

Perfect if your skincare is missing hydration!
This was one of the first products that I actually bought for the ingredient list instead of hype. WHICH IS HOW I SHOULD SHOP FOR SKINCARE. This product has antioxidants, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and allantonin. All of these ingredients are amazing for hydrating the skin and decreasing sensitivity, both totally needed for my skin! I would really say this product would be appropriate for all skin types, even oily because of the addition of niacinamide. HOWEVER those with a confirmed case (please go to a doctor for this quit self-diagnosing, guys) of malassezia (pityrosporum) folliculitis or fungal “acne” should NOT use this product as the galactomyces can feed the yeast and exacerbate the problem. This product is a little sticky feeling on the skin and feels kind of gross at first because I live in SUCH a humid tropical climate but I have adjusted to it. I did take a star for that because it says essence and feels like a quite sticky serum. No fragrance and a great balance of naturally derived products and stable lab ingredients make for an excellent product. This is a perfect inexpensive step (I got it for $17 USD on Amazon) for anyone wanting to experiment with K-Beauty but is reactive/sensitive! COSRX - Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence

Sunday Riley - C.E.O Vitamin C Rapid Flash Brightening Serum 5/5 ——— Claims to rapidly brighten and increase radiance - Brighten: Yes / Radiance: Yes! Texture - Creamy Scent - Citrus Residue - Non-sticky Parabens - No ——— Okay DUDES continuing my vitamin C month here is the vitamin C of the year! And it doesn’t smell like bacon! It actually smells citrusy! And has a creamy texture that doesn’t need a dropper like most vitamin c products or has a liquid consistency!!! This doesn’t oxidize easily either as it is formulated different from other vit cs. This works well as a light moisturizer, too. It has anti-aging benefits which I can’t speak on yet but wow I am amazed! This is my first sundayriley product and I love it. It gives me radiance, I love using it, the consistency is soft and creamy, is not sticky and it brightens up my skin and look. It smells nice every time I apply it and doesn’t sting if I happen to apply it on sensitive areas/small open scarring. This contains 15% THD ascorbate, squalane, jojoba esters, glycolic acid and phytosterols that help with redness and skin sensitivity... and more! Love this ingredient list, for good ingredient and its length. It has the formula for perfection. A good mixture to multitask a little on your skin but focusing on brightening. It has brightened my skin and I see an instant luminosity after using it. My skin just feels good after using this product! I have nothing bad to say about this except that it’s a little pricey. I got the mini kit with this and the Luna Oil for $28 which wasn’t bad but if you want this full-size it’s a $85 tag for 30ml. So if you want to give this a shot and hopefully like it as much as I do, the mini kit is worth it if you’re also interested in the Luna Oil. 8ml lasted me two months! I already repurchased the mini kit about a month ago. But once again, work with what you have and what works for your own skin!
