Favorite Masks and textures for Maskne
I love textures.... I believe textures and feel of skincare product matter equally when it comes to using a product consistently. If you don't enjoy some textures and feel of one product you wouldn't use it for long time, leading it to not giving you any visible changes to skin. These are some of my favorite textures and masks /moisturizers for keeping Mask Acne (Maskne) at Bay! These are mostly pore refining, oil reducing and probiotic enriched products that will help your skin prevent acne caused by masks! Although, there's one ingredient missing in these is Salicylic acid (BHA) . Add BHA in your routine for clearing out congested pores and breakouts. Is this face mask amazing?
GlamGlow BerryGlow Probiotic Recovery Mask claims rise be a “a moisturizing mask packed with super berries and probiotics to help repair skin’s moisture barrier” Cost $49 Amount of product 75 ml / 2.5 ounces The mask is to be applied on a clean face prior to your skin care routine. It says to apply an even layer on to your face for ten minutes. After you may “tissue off and smooth in any excess” or you can rinse and pay dry. After you may put in your skincare routine as usual. Now that we know about the product let’s talk about application and how this product felt during and after applying using both methods to take off. It’s very easy to apply the mask looks pink and it’s not too thin so a silicone brush or just a reg makeup face brush can grab the product easily. Once you apply the layer I most say the product is described well when it comes to how it looks and feel. It feels like you’re taking a thicker smoothie and putting it in to your face. The scent isn’t overwhelming but if you’re very sensitive to scents this isn’t for you. Once applied and left for at least ten minutes. I noticed it felt kind of sticky and like I had a thick coat of product on my face which I guess I did. So I washed it off and my skin didn’t feel moisturized. I felt fine even though I had to make sure all that sticky mask came off. Now when I used the tissue as explained in the directions it felt horrible. I felt like I had just placed food all over my face and I had a thick coat of this goop on my face. I tried this method plenty of times with different amounts to see but every time it just didn’t feel right. I also didn’t see much of a difference other than my face felt dirty, kind of oily and sticky. I have normal to dry skin so feeling oily isn’t very normal for me. At a price tag of $49 for 2.5 ounces this is considered high end maybe not the most expensive mask but still high enough to be able to deliver more than the experience I had. I wouldn’t recommend this mask nor will I continue to use this. As you see in my picture I’ve used it enough to know this is not the product for me. The truth is that it was just too sticky and the slick thick coat you feel isn’t appealing and the results aren’t impressive either. GlamGlow has other amazing products but unfortunately this one didn’t cut it for me. I have it three stars.
Youth To The People Superberry mask review!
Happy Mini and #maskmonday with one of my all time favourite masks! This mask is not only hydrating but brightening at the same time! You use this one overnight and you wake up with beautiful glowy skin. I’ve always loved this mask. It has amazing ingredients for your skin like.. -Maqui Fruit- The most antioxidant fruit in the world that helps tone down stress in the skin -Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate)- visibly firms and brightens the skin in a non irritating way -Squalene- An ingredient that’s mimics your skins natural oil levels so it doesn’t clog your pores while increasing hydration in the skin 😍 *It also smells incredible*
Review of Violet- C Radiance mask from Tatcha: 💜Without a doubt this is a splurge mask! Initial smell was the beautiful smell of Tatcha beautyberry. This mask is not only packed with Japanese anti-aging superfoods like green tea, rice & algae. It also contains with vitamin C & AHAs which help with brightness, texture & glow! 💜I have been using this mask 2X/week and so far I am really loving it! It is a luxurious thick cream that doesn't dry down and leaves my skin very soft after use. After using it multiple times you can definitely see the change in brightness which I loved! It also helped fade some breakout scars I had from the previous weeks which was a huge win! It definitely balances the tone in your skin gradually. 💜The only con to me is the price tag ($68), but to me Tatcha is a luxe brand that only uses high quality ingredients. So if you're ever in the mood to splurge on a mask I would definitely recommend this one!

DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask Skin type: Young (22), combination sensitive skin. Primary concern is clogged/wide pores Product purpose: resurface, brighten skin tone and improve texture Feels like: gritty, kind of like rubbing mustard on your face 👼 Smells like: not great. But we’RE NOT HERE FOR THE SMELL, ARE WE? This is a CULT FAVORITE so you probably already know what’s up. In fact, I don’t know who is even reading this review. But oh well… This is a VERY strong AHA/BHA resurfacing product. Meaning, it will chemically exfoliate the top layer of your skin, hence giving your skin a brighter, more even look. And it does its job a little too well. Make sure to use this product very carefully. I have messed up an embarrassing amount of times… Do not be like me and do any of the following: - DON’T leave it on for too long - If you have an acid serum/treatment as part of your PM/AM routine (e.g. Caudalie’s skin refining serum) DON’T apply it after this. Your skin will turn very red and sad - DON’T forget that you used it yesterday and use it two days in a row. Use this once a week, or if you do want to work up to more regular use, then do so gradually and like talk to someone about it Results-wise (not commenting on brand politics etc), this is a great product. I recommend it, though it is insanely expensive, I have not yet found another like it!

Drunk Elephant has always been a hit-or-miss brand for me. I love the brand’s ethos, the founder, and the quirky product range. But all the products I have tried have either caused me to breakout, or have simply not stepped up to the plate. F-Balm, their most recent release, caused me to use the f-bomb, and not in a good way. This product is a mask that is supposed to brighten, tone, repair, and hydrate the skin. Inside of the standard, plastic Drunk Elephant packaging, one will find a lightweight cream. Upon first application, it will feel quite waxy and heavy. One will definitely notice that something is resting on top of the skin (which I hated). I will say that the burst of hydration is really nice, though. The texture really reminds me of the brand’s “Protini” moisturizer. So what’s with the 3-star rating? What’s there to hate? Well, for one, this product tends to pill-up once applied. Which is never a great experience. Has anyone else had this issue? Second, my skin freaked-out and little breakouts started to pop-up. The majority of my face looked very congested. I will say that the skin that wasn’t affected by breakouts looked pretty decent, though! Personally, I really wanted to love this product, but I wouldn’t bother purchasing this again. But that’s how I feel about most of Drunk Elephant’s products... Which is painful to say, because I love the brand so much! Try this mask out if you feel inclined. Just because it wasn’t a good experience for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for you.

Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask
I’ve been using this for about a month as a overnight mask. I really love this mask and I have nothing negative to say about it. The packaging is very nice and it contains a light berry scent. Every morning I wake up and my skin is just glowing when I use this mask. This mask is very thick but not heavy. This mask contains maqui which is an antioxidant to fight against free radicals and vitamin c to brighten the look of your skin. Plus Squalane and prickly bear to help hydrate the skin. Overall this is a great mask and will be purchasing the full size. - - This product is vegan, cruelty free and the packaging is recyclable!🌎

Baby got PHAt
This mask surprised me - at first I really wasn’t a fan cause I wasn’t sure it was doing anything at all. But the trick is to use two full pumps and really massage it in. I get a VERY slight tingle and a bit of a plumped up glow after using it. It’s got PHA which is explained as a gentler version of AHA - so perfect for sensitive skin types. I think this is great as a brightening mask but isn’t a hardcore exfoliator. If you don’t have sensitive skin I’m not sure this’ll be enough for you as an exfoliant. But as an extra boost once in a while in addition to regular exfoliation (not in the same day necessarily lol) I’m loving it. She pricey though - I was gifted this one and I’m not sure I’d spend this much on a mask when a good exfoliating treatment will give you more bang for your buck.
