Another overhyped Drunk Elephant Item
Another overhyped Drunk Elephant Item
DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum The drunk elephant b hydra serum is definitely a popular item that I found to be overrated. What is this serum? It’s a simple hydrating serum, and nothing more. Why would I say it’s overrated? Simply because it does not moisturize my skin. After using this, in the morning, my skin still felt tight and dry. It’s almost like I put on nothing at all after it had dried. This did absolutely nothing for me. I could only see this working with a lot of layers over it, or for very oily skin. This product retails $52 for a full-size bottle. At that price, you would be much better off buying a basic hydrating serum from the ordinary or one of targets brands. I’m giving it to stars, because it’s not terrible – it didn’t break me out or cause any sort of reaction. I just felt it did nothing for my dry skin. I’ve also found that drunk elephant products are overrated on Instagram, so I wanted to share my honest thoughts about the line.

Charlotte tilbury Magic Varnish
Charlotte tilbury Magic Varnish
Charlotte Tilbury - Magic Vanish Charlotte Tillberry magic varnish is a nice color corrector for the eye area. It is $34, and house in a miniature classic Charlotte gold compact with the mirror. This comes in for shades, and the shade I have shown is fair. I just bought this product, and use it for the first time today so my thoughts are just first impressions. This is a nice color corrector for the eye area, but it is fairly peach. It lasted a while on me, and did increase too much. One issue and why the product loses a star, is because it does not come in enough shades. Bobby Brown color correctors come in both pink and peach shades to match All sorts of undertones, and I do think that that product is superior to this one. I don’t use a color corrector daily, but on days when my eye area is extremely dark, it really works wonders under concealer. I do recommend this product, but I’m not sure it’s worth $34.

Charlotte Tilbury Cream Shadow Pots
Charlotte Tilbury Cream Shadow Pots
Charlotte Tillberry eyes to mesmerize are small parts of cream eyeshadow, that come in seven shades, all of which are slightly shimmery. Wall the pot looks small, they actually contain quite a bit of product as you don’t need to use a lot. In the second photo, I have swatch the shade Marie Antoinette, which is my favorite shade from the collection. This is the perfect neutral mid toned brown shade with a bit of shimmer. These are one of my go to fast eyeshadows, all you have to do is swipe, blend a little bit- And you’re done! These are pretty pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I’ve also on the shade Jean, and I’m planning on picking up rose gold! These retail $34 for a 7 mL jar. Though that sounds expensive, these will definitely will last a long time. I will say that I previously on the shade Veruska, and I found that green one a little bit too dark for my complexion, and didn’t blend as well as the lighter shades. I give these cream shadows 5/5 stars! Charlotte Tilbury - Eyes To Mesmerize Cream Eyeshadow

Fabulous unique blush
Fabulous unique blush
Charlotte Tilbury - Pretty Youth Glow Filter Seduce Blush 5.4g This Blush from Charlotte Tilbury is one of my most unique and complicated products. It consists of a highlight shade and a blush shade together in one compact. If you ever try to swatch these with your fingers, you’ll notice you can’t. The texture is very hard, and waxy. I know my introduction to this product doesn’t make it sound good, but it is actually fantastic when you use it with the brush that it’s meant to be used with. I purchased it in a duo with the special brush (not shown). The brush is a small brush with a double tipped and, that is very stiff. This brush does an excellent job of picking up both the highlighter and the blush at the same time, and then places them exactly where they need to go in appropriate proportions, and then blends them out. Brilliant! This set with the special brush retails about US$50. I know this is pretty expensive, but I do think this item will last me a long time, and it comes in a gorgeous gold compact. I give this unique blush 5/5 stars. I just wish I remembered to use it more!

Charlotte’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow
Charlotte’s Filmstar Bronze and Glow
Charlotte Tilbury - Filmstar Bronze & Glow Contour Duo Charlotte Tilbury’s Filmstar Bronze snd Glow is an iconic product from the brand. House in a gorgeous rose gold case, film star bronze in glow is available in two shade variations, and what I have shown here is the light/medium shade. The compact contains an appropriately sized bronzer (sculpt) and highlight (which is smaller). What do I think of this product? Personally, I like it, but I think it’s really expensive for what it is. Nothing from Charlotte Tilbury is ever cheap, but there are other products that are more worth spending your money. I find that the sculpt/bronzer side works nicely, but it’s not that much better than any of my other high-end bronzers. It does have a bit of glow in it, which is similar to my Becca bronzer, but it is a cooler tone which works better for my skin. The highlight side, blends in nicely but I’m not big on powder highlighter. It goes without saying that the compact these come in is gorgeous! I rate this 4/5 stars. With tax, this item retails over $65, which is a little bit crazy for what it is. Even if it was cheaper, I don’t know if they would give it five stars, because it’s not above and beyond my other bronzers. This is definitely a nice item to gift, or a special luxury item to put on your vanity, but in my opinion it’s not a necessity. Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favorite brands, but this iconic item fell a little bit short in my eyes.

Flawless powder from Charlotte Tilbury
Flawless powder from Charlotte Tilbury
The Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless finish powder is an excellent choice if you are out looking for a setting powder that doesn’t get Cakey or overly dry. This powder is housed in Charlotte’s signature oval shaped compact, this one a stunning rose gold color. Like all products from this brand, it definitely has shelf and vanity appeal! One drawback of this powder is that it only comes in for shades. I think it would match more skin tones if it was available in more colors. My skin is fair to light, and the shade fair works well for me. It isn’t particularly full coverage, but it’s very nice to set under eye concealer. One of the few drawbacks of this product, is the price. This powder retails about $50. It’s a lot for a setting powder, since I go through these items pretty quickly, and I have a tendency to drop them! Aside from the price point, this is a beautiful item, that performs well. I definitely rate it five out of five stars! Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder

Overrated “lip balm”
Overrated “lip balm”
I gave into the hype and purchased these two Glossier balm dot coms. A lot of people claimed they were highly moisturizing, and it saved their dry lips... but I don’t agree with that statement at all. Firstly, the applicator?? There’s no applicator... and I really dislike squeezing it onto my finger and then distributing it on my lips then my finger is left all sticky and oily? I really don’t like that feeling. Secondly, it’s basically vaseline. So really there’s nothing special about it. Plus, times where I had super dry chapped lips and I put this on, it tend to sink into my dry cracks and making my lips feel more dry than before???? Honestly all these lip balms are is that there aesthetically pleasing to look at and take pictures of. I do not think they are worth the money at all. There are much better lip balms in the market that are way cheaper. I would not recommend it or repurchase. On a brighter note, they do smell very nice lol. I rate it 2 stars (+1 for smell, +1 for cute packaging) 🤔 Glossier. - Balm Dotcom

Drunk Elephant Shaba Eye Serum
Drunk Elephant Shaba Eye Serum
What is it? An undereye serum that contains several ingredients to help assist in reducing fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage. It is a thinner, not quite gel like serum that has a beautiful application and a little bit of product goes a long way. It is suited for every skin type, even sensitive! Key ingredients are black tea ferment, copper peptides and sea buckthorn oil. These ingredients have amazing anti oxidant properties and help firm the undereye and contribute to radiance. My experience: this has been an amazing addition to my routine. Many eye serums/creams give me milia and congestion under the eye( which i think c tango does) and this product has not. It sits well under makeup and its very thin you hardly know it’s there! Despite its thin consistency, it is still hydrating enough to use at night! When i wake up my bags are significantly reduced after consistent use of about one month. Fine lines aren’t a huge concern right now but it’s important to prevent as much as you can and this is a great product for that. My under eyes feel more “bouncy,” definitely smoother and more hydrated. While using Shaba, I haven’t had any under the eye congestion. This is a very gentle product and hasn’t caused any irritation or burning which can happen with eye serums and creams. I want the full size of this and I know it would last forever although the full size is 60 USD for 0.5ml. I’m not always wearing eye creams and serums but this is one I think I would consider using more frequently if I purchased the full size! Laneige Cream Skin for Dry Skin
Laneige Cream Skin for Dry Skin
What is it? Laneige Cream Skin Toner has a two-in-one formula that preps the skin after cleansing and moisturizes all in one step. Suitable for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin types. White Tea Leaf Water is the main ingredient which contains amino acids and helps to repair and soothe the skins barrier. My experience: this liquid toner has been a live saver during the winter months! I’m in Michigan, so for 4 months there is basically no sun, it’s windy and the air is so drying. Not even kidding after using this for 2 months or so, I’m not quite sure how i lived without it. It has a pretty thin consistency, so I apply about 2 or 3 layers of this. My skin is sooo supple and silky soft to the touch after just using this!! Dry patches be gone. This baby delivers the moisture. It sinks in wonderfully, works well with all of my products, and plumps my skin whether it be before bed, or for makeup application in the morning. I think my skin also looks less dull and more radiant after every use! My skin was freaking out due to a barrier crisis, and I knew this would be safe to use even though a lot of other products can be irritating. This really helped to soothe and never irritates or burns upon application. I still use a moisturizer on top of this, but I think during the summer 3 or 4 layers of this would deliver the perfect amount of hydration! One of the best hydrating toners I’ve ever tried. It retails for 33 USD and i think that’s reasonable because this bottle will last a very long time. LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer

I’d rather get coal than... Drunk Elephant’s Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser! Function: Removes all traces of makeup, pollution, & excess oil. Target Concerns: Makeup removal and oiliness. Texture Consistency: Thick and gel-like. My overall experience: I got this as one of my birthday rewards from Sephora. I was super excited because Drunk Elephant is a very pricy brand and this gave me a chance to try out a product! I took this with me when I went camping for a weekend because of the small size of it and how easy it is to squeeze it out. Sadly it sucked Do I like it? Heck to the no! This for some reason broke me out and wrecked havoc on my skin! Would I recommend it? No! This cleanser broke me out and I wouldn’t want that to happen to others. I’ve also read reviews saying that some people have had similar outcomes of this cleaner. Worth it? Well if you’d like to pay $32 for 5oz/150ml of something that will possibly break you out and make your skin dry as heck then knock yourself out😂 As you can tell not worth it to me! Lightweight SPF for oily skin🌟
Lightweight SPF for oily skin🌟
I don’t think I tagged the exact product in this post because I couldn’t find it, but this is the Ultra-Light Daily Moisturizing Fluid from Paula’s Choice with SPF and it’s one of my favorite SPF’s I have ever tried! I used to use the ones from Neutrogena until I was introduced to the wonders of our girl Paula & picked this up along with the PAULA'S CHOICE - SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA LIQUID EXFOLIANT and it’s been a game-changer ever since! The texture is so light & for $23 I think it’s going to last me quite a while! I really only use a bit more than the amount pictured on my hand after I apply my regular moisturizer & it’s just a great finish for the day! I wouldn’t recommend to those with dry skin as this probably wouldn’t be enough moisture for your skin type, but for my combination, mostly oily & breakout prone skin it’s perfect! Super light & an extra bit of hydration for the day🌟

🌟BLACKHEADS WORST NIGHTMARE🌟
🌟BLACKHEADS WORST NIGHTMARE🌟
I know you’ve probably seen this black/grey bottle everywhere, but there’s a reason for it!!! It’s a skincare routine GAME-CHANGER. It’s supposed to unclog & shrink enlarged pores, as well as even & smooth skin tone! Lemme tell you she does just that! I normally suffer from blackheads around my nose area & smaller bumps/texture when I need to exfoliate & this works absolute wonders. I use it a few times a week, not every night! It’s a light-weight liquid that absorbs quickly but doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry at all! I use it in place of my toner or right before I tone after cleansing. Apply it over your face & neck with a cotton pad, but once again this stuff is so good I apply directly to clean hands and then onto my face! I’m sorry Cherie, I wanted to savor as much as I could of this baby I didn’t get a shot of the texture, but it’s just a clear liquid! PAULA'S CHOICE - SKIN PERFECTING 2% BHA LIQUID EXFOLIANT I love Paula’s Choice, they never use animal testing or added fragrance & just a great company as a whole with some really great & affordable products. Pick this up as soon as you discover the wonders of chemical exfoliants✨💕
