BathshebaHi! I personally think Bioderma especially this specific toner is perfect for sensitive skin. It has no fragrance, it’s not irritating, soothing, and gentle. My skin just loves it!! I highly recommend and I’m glad I could help!! :)

my progress in the span of 3 years
This is my first post pls be gentle I am soff
My experience and exposure to skincare was...odd growing up. I came from a poor family and was constantly switching between households. Consistent skincare routines did not exist for me, if we could afford it at all. I also had no idea what was going on with my face or why, just that I was being mocked and berated for it as though it was some sort of lack of hygeine or moral failing on my part.
About 3 years ago, I started using a consistent skincare routine with more than just a face wash in the shower. Granted, it was whatever the cheapest face wash I could find at Safeway that week (likely biore or st. ives) and argan oil that I found at Marshall's. I had no idea what ingredients to look for or even what my skin type was. That first pic STILL marked a huge improvement for me and kicked off my desire to learn more to finally rectify this issue that had plagued me for more than a decade.
The 2nd pic is from a few months ago. I kinda think I peaked there. I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser in the shower. I have oily, sensitive skin (thanks eczema) and it's very gentle, not irritating in the slightest. However, it feels like all it does is clean my face. No real benefit apart from that. I was using pixi - Glow Tonic as a toner which I loved and gave me great results but rent is literally over half my monthly income and that doesn't touch all the other bills I have and at anywhere from $18-$24 a bottle? Well... I'd rather eat tbh. I also got over the "oily skin don't need moisturize hurr durr" mentality and began to use (still do, this jar has lasted me since like July) AVALON ORGANICS - Intense Defense, With Vitamin C, Oil-Free Moisturizer . Works fine, nice and light, absorbs pretty quickly, and I like the smell. I'd like something that qualifies as a night mask instead tho, just because my entire routine is done exclusively at night with extra moisturizer or treatments as necessary.
3rd pic is from about a month ago. I've changed up the roster a few times. I'm really feeling FORMULA 10.0.6 - One Deep Attraction Daily Foaming Face Wash as I used it years ago, liked it then for the suds and the actives, but haven't gotten much in the way of results. I might try the FORMULA 10.0.6 - Three Times Sublime 3-in-1 Blackhead Wash + Scrub + Maskand FORMULA 10.0.6 - P.M. Perfectorinstead of the moisturizer I use as mentioned above. I'm also alternating between Cos De BAHA - BHA Salicylic Acid 2% Exfoliant Liquid 4oz with Niacinamide Acne Spot Treatment + Redness Relief + Pore Minimizer + Pore Cleaner and The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% . The serum makes my skin incredibly soft and the suspension helps a bunch with oil control.
If y'all have any comments, questions, or suggestions regarding my routine, I'd love to hear what y'all have to say!

How I Built an Entire Routine for Under $150
For a long time I was intimated by skincare because it seemed very expensive and overwhelming. How do I know what to buy 🤷🏻♀️
When I started noticing wrinkles that was enough of a push for me to invest in skincare. Here’s some great lessons I’ve learned to build your skincare routine affordably:
1. Research to figure out what you need- here’s where my love of @cheriestarted! I read lots of reviews, advice, so I knew what type of products I should buy and what ingredients I should focus on.
2. Keep it Simple
It’s easy to want to buy new products, adding new steps or ingredients to your routine, or try out the hype after reading reviews! Focus on your concerns and add slowly to give your skin time to adjust and see what’s working. It’s better to have a few great products that you love than many products you don’t use.
I started with:
Cleanse
AM antioxidant serum, PM anti-aging serum
Moisturizer
Sunscreen
Toners, eye cream, facial oil, and masks can be extras if you are looking to save money
3. Spend your money on the middle - if you can only splurge on one product make it the serum! This has the most benefit. Drugstore cleansers, moisturizers, and spf are great!
4. Try some great affordable brands such as The Ordinary, The Inkey List, Versed, or CeraVe
5. Buy trial size first, Value Sets or better free rewards before investing in a new product
6. Once you’ve found your Holy Grails keep your eyes open for sales to stock up, join the brands mailing list or reward program, buy value size

Skin Care Products I use Regularly
Can you please tell me which product I should stop using and recommend which new products I should try? I have very oily skin but my skin tends to get irritated and dehydrated after I cleanse it. All the products I’ve been using help me with my acne and blackhead problems and my new goal is to minimize my pores and to have healthy clear skin. Thank you!

Hydrating Morning Routine
1) Essence Toner — It preps my skin for the rest of the routine. Not necessary but I can always tell when I don’t use it. Skin feels hydrated immediately after use.
2) Hydrating Toner - It adds hydration to my skin so I can seal it in with moisturizer later. Great trick for dry skin! It doesn’t have any fragrance and it’s very absorbing.
3) Vitamin C serum - Helps brighten up skin and Possibly help sunscreen work better** . Lovely spread and absorbs moderately fast into skin.
4) Moisturizing combo mix of All the Feels Oil mixed with Moisturizing Milk - I like to make concoctions like this one for a leveled up moisturizer. Both are fragrance free and moisturize my skin perfectly. The Muji milk has a very slightly sticky feel, but I don’t mind it. Works great under skin.
5) Protect your skin with @cerave Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30 - I prefer mineral sunscreens and I’m in love with this one atm- no white cast for my skin tone. Full review of this product coming up.

Saves Money on Moisturizer
I would not necessarily say that this product made a huge difference with my skin, but I will say that it effectively preps the skin for receiving face cream. It gives you some extra hydration to your skin and allows your face cream to go on smoother and need less product. Considering that face cream is the most expensive step in most people’s skin care regimen, I would say that this does an effective job of helping you make that cream go a longer way.

Laneige Cream Skin Toner + Moisturizer Review
So I’ve already covered toners and their benefits in a previous post, so today is just a review of my second favorite toner of all time. Laneige Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer. This is literally a holy grail product for my dry skin and I can’t stop and won’t stop raving about 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼.
.
.
Laneige’s toner is a 2-in-1 lightweight liquid-y lotion that promises to prep (aka balance) and soften your skin like a regular toner, while also moisturizing it like a cream to get the ultimate hydration in just one easy step! It’s good for all skin types and targets dryness, dullness, and uneven texture.
.
.
Let’s talk pros: EVERYTHING 😂but really though
.
.
For something so lightweight it is INCREDIBLY moisturizing, I mean it when I say that a little goes a long way. I personally don’t apply this with a cotton ball (it wastes too much product). Instead I pour some in my palms and tap it into my face.
.
.
Even with my dry skin, this toner is moisturizing on its own to where I could actually skip my serums/toners/moisturizers. Which is perfect if I’m feeling lazy/unmotivated to do my 10 step routine, or if I am just staying at home💁🏼♀️.
.
.
It can be easily layered (with itself or other products). I actually do about 2-3 layers of this toner in the pm to get the max hydration benefits💦💦
.
.
It lasts forever, even with me using it 2 times a day (with multiple layers) I’ve been using it for at least 3 months right now and I still have over a third left.
Cons:
.
.
For me, nothing. However, if you have oily/acne prone skin it might be a little heavy for you
.
.
I highly recommend it for those with dry/dehydrated skin who are trying to maximize hydration in their skin care, or for folks who are always busy/on the go and don’t have time to do a full routine. Just a few layers of this product and you can be out the door in seconds! For $33 I think it is definitely worth the price and it will always be a staple in my routine. I give this 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer

Hydrating toner
Fourth Ray - Waterfall Gentle Toner
what is it: alcohol free toner infused with cucumber water, hyaluronic acid, and willow bark.
concerns: dry skin, combination skin, fine lines & wrinkles
my thoughts: I love how hydrating this is!! While I have a oily t zone, I have noticed dryness under my eyes and cheeks during colder months especially. This has really helped with those dry areas and has not broken me out in my t zone at all. It smells amazing- super refreshing and feels so nice on. It doesn’t leave me oily or leave a residue at all. Usually when i purchase a toner, i buy something that is more prone to acne and oily skin, so this was a risk, but i love it! I never knew i needed a hydrating toner, but i would definitely re purchase. For the price, I would definitely give this toner a try!
Fourth Ray-Waterfall Gentle Toner
Pixi Glow Tonic
I’d rather get coal than the Pixi Glow Tonic! I don’t usually have products that just absolutely don’t work out for me but there is this one! And one that the masses love!
The product: Glow Tonic that helps deeply clean pores by removing excess oil and impurities.
My impressions: so I tried this out and then went to bed and when I woke up I had huge pimples and random bumps everywhere I use the toner, t-zone and chin. The only new product I incorporated into my routine m so I know it was that. Don’t know whether it was just my skin or the other products either way was not pretty.
How it worked for my dry skin: it was very hydrating but I can’t really attest to how it was because I used it once and had such a bad effect then I never thought how dry my skin was more was thinking what are these little bumps and how did I get these pimples so fast.
Length of use: one use
Cost: for a big one $29
Recommend: I know so many love it but I’m not sure why I had such adverse reaction. I don’t have extremely sensitive skin and usually my skin can handle a bit. So can’t recommend just from my reaction to it.
Repurchase: nope, I love The Ordinary, and Youth To The People Toner much better!
Overall rating:pixi - Glow Tonic just cause I can’t rate lower... have you tried Glow Tonic and what are your thoughts?

💛 Hada Labo Goku-jyun Premium Lotion💛
𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬: an ultra hydrating Japanese moisturizer milk. The milky moisturizer is formulated using Rohto’s newly developed “moisture sealing” technology that wraps skin like a hydrating cream mask to prevent moisture from escaping the skin
𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
- five-layer mixing of Hyaluronic Acid, which upgrades the moisturizing power of the skin.
- Sacran extract, a natural moisturizing factor with a high-water retention ability, forms a moister barrier and prevents moisture evaporation.

Another cult favorite! 😁
Who doesn’t love Hada Labo anyway? 💙
I’ve been loving all products i’ve tried from the brand so far.
I think the Premium Milk Lotion in particular is a really quality product and great value!! Super love how hydrating and smoothing it is. I use few drops after washing my face, on wet skin. It works wonderfully in plumping the face and holding the moisture in, almost feeling like I have a sheet mask on! Or should I say, gives a literal moisture-wrap feel 🥰 I then slather more (that’s how much I enjoy it) wait a lil until it gets absorbed and follow up with either a treatment or seal everything in with a moisturizer. The lotion leaves my skin a healthy glow but not oily. For me, it’s the best source for a hyaluronic supercharge I've found so far. It’s fragrance free so I highly recommend it — it does what it says and does it well!

~ i use the product only as part of my night routine. I once tried it on during the day and it made me a lil greasy but I think would work just awesome for dry skinned gals!

Pixi Glow Tonic Toner 🍊🍊
pixi - Glow Tonic
Great Toner for dry skin!
✨The purpose of this product is to minimize your pores, hydrate, moisturize, exfoliate, brightens and smooths the face. just put it on a cotton ball or pad and apply to your face !
🛑 the product is not harsh, Good on dry skin like mine because it doesn’t get oily or dry after applying.
💎 its liquid and smells good and it’s color is orange 🍊
🗝My experience with this toner has been good just one miss, i do have sensitive skin, and it is meant for all skin types but it irritated me a little bit, it has cleaned my face and felt refreshed but the irritation was small but just didn’t wish I had any at all, it’s mostly around my checks and nose. I decided to try this because many people talked about it and I’ve had about 4 months with it or So.
Do I like it?: 👍🏼 yes it’s good , like I said it does it’s job so I saw the results just wished I didn’t have to go through the irritation although It’s small so nothing major !
Do I recommend this product?: 👍🏼 i do if only your skin isn’t sensitive , only dry face? It’s your go to! Oily? Go to! But sensitive, it will irritar a little but if you are very very cautious with your face and irritates so much even with the smallest, then NO
Is the product worth it? 👍🏼 yes, I felt my face refreshed, nourished and smooth! For 15? Yes it was worth it !
