Peach & Lily, you’ve won my 💖

Guys, I’m so excited about this line and brand!!! I’ve never tried Peach & Lily, but I have been dying to get my hands on it for months now. I finally went to Ulta a few days ago and picked up their mini set, for only $39 (adds up to about $65!) This is a Korean beauty skincare line, and it allegedly uses all natural ingredients that soothes the skin and hydrates. I have struggled to find products that moisturize my face well without breaking me out, or causing way more excess oil on my oily skin. Let’s get into my thoughts on each product!! In the morning I like to start out with the PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser
and I gave it 5 stars because.... I’m in love. It smells AMAZING and feels so good on the skin. Also, a tiny pea sized amount is plenty for the entire face! It glides so easily and really gets my skin feeling fresh and clean. I like to double cleanse and start out with an oil cleanser and then follow up with this. Could not love this product more! The only downside is that it’s pretty pricey, at $28. Next I go in with the PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence
and to tell you the truth, I’ve never used an essence before this! I put about 3 drops on my hands and pat that onto my face. It soaks in very quickly and leaves a fresh feeling. It supposedly helps hydrate the skin and allow other product seep into the skin more easily. I gave this a 4 because it’s nice, but I don’t think it’s a holy grail product just yet. After the essence I go in with the very popular PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum
that is BREAKING the internet! This serum is basically for hydrating the skin with HA and creates that “glass skin” look everyone is going for. I was very skeptical about this y’all. But I genuinely see a difference in my skin after using this serum!!! I am super impressed with it, and might purchase again! But, it could be just as good as any other good HA serum out there. Last but not least..... PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream
!!!! 5/5 stars for this beauty. I am in love with this moisturizer and see a difference in my skin after a week’s use. I love that it’s packed with antioxidants and matcha, and is a lightweight moisturizer! It’s the final touch to the glass skin line and I definitely see that my skin looks beautiful and dewy after using it. I will be repurchasing this and can’t wait to use it more! Thanks for reading! 💖

MayitaI’m so tempted to try the matcha cream now!! Would you say it’s thick enough for winter?

b.a.i.l.e.yIt’s a pretty light moisturizer! Since I have oily skin, I like something not so heavy, so I’m not quite sure if it’s the ~best~ for winter. I definitely feel so moisturized when I use it though!!

Glass Skin > Ordinary Peeling Solution
Okay so a few weeks ago I made a post on how I changed my mind on The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Originally I was ready to bring it right back after trying for weeks but apparently I was keeping it on for too long and it was just making my skin worse. For the longest time, I was thinking that my skin has been so desensitized by products that I need to wear products for double the time they suggested (with hydrating products this sometimes works) but DEFINITELY not for this one. I started wearing it for 8-9 minutes rather than 10-15 and definitely seeing more improvements so I gave it a good review, but now that PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum has come into my life, I may have once again changed my mind. This is a serum that claims to smooth your skin and even tone using peach extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and peptides. Below I have provided Ulta’s notes on it! RECOMMENDED FOR: • Dullness and uneven skin tone • Rough skin texture • Wrinkles, fine lines, sagging • Dehydrated skin • Redness, inflammation WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: • Peach Extract: full of vitamins, minerals, and essential acids to help keep skin resilient • Niacinamide: helps quell inflammation, brighten and provide antioxidative benefits • Asian Mountain Yam Extract: helps to reduce flakiness • Madecassoide: helps curb inflammation and stimulate collagen production • Hyaluronic Acid Complex: blend of short-chain, medium-chain and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules that moisturizes every layer of skin, leaving it hydrated, plumped and radiant • Peptide Complex: proprietary blend of peptides that signals collagen production, helping fill fine lines and deeply-etched wrinkles, while firming skin for a smoother, glassier appearance Verdict: After using this serum ONE TIME I noticed a DRASTIC change in my skin that I was expecting from The Ordinary Peeling Solution and didn’t get after using for almost 6 months. Slowly it started to show results, but nothing even CLOSE to Peach and Lily. With Peach and Lily, not only do I see a total lack of acne and scarring that I had before, but the redness that normally shows in my skin is almost nonexistent and my face is finally the same shade as my neck. This is definitely one of my top 5 products I’ve ever used. How I Use: Morning: Wash my face with THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser Top with serum and a moisturizer with sunscreenCeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 Night: Wash my face with either the tea tree cleanser or bliss - Micro Magic depending on how long I wore my Covid mask that day (Micro Magic seems to help with maskne) Saturate a cotton pad with Fourth Ray - Waterfall Gentle Toner and rub it all over, let it dry and top with CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator

Apostrophe Update!
So far I am super happy with how my skin is looking! I started on January 6, and today is February 16. The end of my 90 days will be either at the end of March or at the beginning of April, so I’m about halfway there. The struggle for me right now is that my skin changes day to day. One day I will wake up with lots of cystic pimples, and one dat, like today, my skin will have none. I definitely still have dark marks, but I’m okay with that for now! As long as they aren’t active I am happy lol. I still seem to get acne flares on my period, which is discouraging considering Spironolactone is for hormonal acne. I’m just trying to trust the process🧐 I realized that I haven’t talked about my daily morning and night routine, so here it is! Morning: -cleanse with either PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser or CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser -moisturize with either PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream or FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate -apply spf with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 -my makeup routine At night: -remove makeup with DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil -cleanse with CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser -moisturize with FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Minis Original & Cranberry Pomegranate -apply a pea sized amount of .025% Tretinoin formula from Apostrophe - Topical Formula -and of course some Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant on my lips before bed!

Empty + Newbie!
After about a month and a half of using this mini moisturizer by Peach & Lily, I made it to the end and decided I didn’t want the magic to end! ✨ This moisturizer is perfect for me, as I have oily and acne prone skin. It is not too heavy, actually, it’s pretty light, but I still get the moisture that I need during the day. It smells just like you would think, like matcha and green tea, mixed with florals. (I can’t get enough of it) On the other hand, I must confess I do not use this at night because I need a lot more moisture as I have been starting on tretinoin (dries out skin intensely) so I use First Aid Beauty at night. I love the peach and lily during the day, and will continue to purchase! If you haven’t tried it, definitely check out their 4 mini pack with the cleanser, essence, serum, and moisturizer! It’s amazing! As always, thanks for reading! 💖 PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream

Should you get this cleanser?
I've used this cleanser for more than a week now and although I don't mind it, I don't love it. There are times where it feels fine and other times where it makes my skin slightly tight (like with a hot shower or waiting a little longer to put on other steps in the routine). I have tried other cleansers that always feel gentle regardless the circumstance (reviews on some of them to come). Overall not bad and I'll finish it up, but not a repurchase for me

Peach & Lily Wild Dew Treatment Essence
PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence I got this to help with hydration and redness and boy does this help! I use this right after toner for a little extra boost and this is great! “An essence is one of the most fundamental skincare products in Asian beauty routines. In Korea, essences are nearly mandatory because they focus intensively on delivering ample hydration to skin via a cocktail of skin-transforming ingredients. Essences not only help fight breakouts, improve skin's radiance and impart long-lasting hydration, but they are also formulated to sink deep and fast into skin. Using next-gen technology, Peach & Lily's Wild Dew Treatment Essence includes fresh, clean, fast-acting extracts that will leave you looking and feeling fresh as a daisy. RECOMMENDED FOR: • Dehydrated, dull skin (Alicia's Tip: dehydrated skin lacks moisture. Oily skin types can have dehydrated skin, too) • Rough texture • Dark spots, uneven skin tone • Fine lines, wrinkles • Redness, inflammation”

Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 1
Hey y’all! In today’s post I’ll be reviewing my followers skincare routines! I went through some of y’all’s accounts in search of some routines, then messaged everyone to make sure they were okay with me using their routines in this post! This is only pt. 1 because this post got wayyy to long to include everyone at once! Let me start by saying I’m not an esthetician or dermatologist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I am just a fellow skincare lover who knows a lot about ingredients in skincare. We’re starting off with @Chloe_McRae. Sometimes she decides to double cleanse, and when she does she starts with the#Holifrog - Kissimmee Vitamin F Therapy Balmy Wash[products]#[FourStars] which is $42 for 2.5 fl oz. This has a ton of great hydrating oils, as well as Vitamin F, which is great for helping cell turnover. I would say it’s a great first cleanse for those with dry skin. Next she uses theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser Deluxe Sample which is $32. I would say this is a good cleanser. The cleansing agents are gentle and non stripping, and it also has glycerin which is hydrating, and cantaloupe fruit extract which is a hydrating extract full of antioxidants. Other than that, this is a pretty basic cleanser. Next she uses the HERBIVORE - Prism 20% AHA + 5% BHA Exfoliating Glow Facial l which is $58. Because the name is confusing, it’s a gel face mask. This stuff looks gorgeous and the ingredients are too. Along with AHA and BHA, it has aloe and rose water which help your skin to retain moisture. I don’t think it’s worth $58, but it’s pretty good. Next is the PEACH & LILY - Wild Dew Treatment Essence which is $39 for 3.38 fl oz. This essence has glycerin, Nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid. For $39 I expected a lot more. In general, essence is less effective than a serum, so this seems a little expensive for what you get. Then comes theDRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Hydrating Spray which is $42. Yes, $42 for a face mist. Now looking at the ingredients this has glycerin and a small amount of Hylaronic acid. The rest of the ingredients are extracts. Thankfully there isn’t fragrance, but this is a no because it’s so expensive. And finally is the COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid which is $24. Really this has some Willow water and Nicinamide and that’s it. Okay I freaked out at this point. Nowhere in this routine is sunscreen or moisturizer!!! Nooooo!! We need less acids and more of the basics. Overall I’d say this routine has too many steps. I think you could simplify down to a double cleanse, a cheap but good serum with Hylaronic acid and Nicinamide which seem to be the ingredients that work well for your skin, and the a moisturizer and some spf. Our next routine comes from @WillWorkforMascara. She starts her routine with theCeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin w is $17. This product is great for oily skin, which she has. It has glycerin, nicinamide, and Hylaronic acid so it’s super hydrating. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution witch is $8.70. Along with glycolic acid, it has aloe vera water and glycerin. Some people think it’s overly stripping, but for oily skin its great. Now this is where this routine becomes international. She goes in with theMUJI - Boosting Essence Lotion which is $7 for 50 ml. This essence has aloe vera juice and glycerin. It does have quite a bit of fragrance though which makes it a no from me. Next she goes in with the#Pearlessence - Argan Oil + Vitamin E facial oil[products]#[ThreeStars] which is $11.89 for 1.83 fl oz. This product has two ingredients. Vitamin E and Argan oil. Now this is where we really go international. #Human Nature - Sunflower Eye Cream[products]#[TwoStars] and found out that 295 Cuban Peso is $12.29. Now as for the ingredients this eye cream has sunflower oil and glycerin. And fragrance. Fragrance can especially be irritating around the eye area so this is another no. Instead try some thing likeTHE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream She also uses a eyebrow and eyelash oil called Peach Thy Lash which is 150 Cuban Peso or $6.25. I don’t know anything about this kind of product so I can’t really say if it works. And finally is theLANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask which is $22. This mask has Vitamin C, Hylaronic acid, and glycerin. It seems good to me, but this sort of product is more about the experience, and I haven’t tried it. Again! We need moisturizer and sunscreen! This one also has too many steps so let’s simplify it to cleanser, toner, moisturizer, sunscreen, eyelash oil, and lip mask. Unfortunately this post would be super long if I included everyone, so look out for pt. 2 coming soon! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your holy grail skincare products, and follow me to join the family and for similar content! -Mae

❤️ my newbies - AM Routine Edition🤎
❤️ my newbies - AM Routine Edition🤎
I’ve recently switched up my morning routine to incorporate a few newbies. I’ve been doing this regimen for 3 weeks now and I’m loving the results. I wanted a boost of hydration with wearing a mask all day. I was noticing my mouth and jawline area was really dry and flaky. This routine has helped tremendously. I think the most loved item right now is the Josh Rosebrook - Complete Moisture Cleanse it’s so hydrating yet gentle and gets my skin prepared to take on the day. I truly love the way this smells. My skin feels clean and hydrated right after I cleanse. After I cleanse I let the water sit on my face until it starts to dry on it’s own. (I try to multi task and brush my teeth or go iron my clothes in the am while the water sinks in. I then follow up with this sample of the belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb this moisturizer is amazinggggg. I’m so late to try. I got this sample from a friend who swears by it. I definitely recommend this moisturizer if you love a lightweight yet powerful type or moisturizer. My skin hydration levels have definitely increased within a week of use. After my moisturizer, I apply a droplet of my new favorite vitamin c serum SAINT JANE - The C-Drops I love this serum because it’s 20% active vitamin c, and it doesn’t irritate my skin like a lot of vitamin c serums. I highly recommend incorporating a vitamin c to your am routine. If I’m wearing a mask, I apply the Krave - Great Barrier Relief serum on the bottom half of my face where the mask is to add an extra dose of hydration. The face mask tends to dry me out more than ever. It’s not pictured by I also use my Blackgirl Sunscreen immediately after. I don’t leave the driveway without it. 🌙 For combo/dry skin 🌙 Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser: $38 a cream cleanser containing goat milk and manuka honey...also my favorite cleanser of all time. This is so gentle and pleasant to use...great for dry or sensitive skin. 🌙 CosRX Propolis Synergy Toner: $23 a toner containing 72.5% propolis and 10% honey...this is so so for me. I typically really like honey for giving my skin hydration and glow but this one just doesn’t do a lot for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🌙 Drunk Elephant A Passioni Retinol Cream $74 and B Hydra $48...I like to mix these two together to improve the texture of and buffer the retinol. A Passioni is a 1% retinol so it’s pretty strong but the B Hydra contains ceramides and provitamin B5 to help hydrate the skin and minimize the drying effects of the retinol. 🌙 Milk Makeup Vegan Milk Moisturizer $38 is a rich cream moisturizer containing antioxidant rich fig milk, soothing oat milk, and a plethora of antioxidant rich oils. This stuff sinks into the skin quickly but leaves the skin feeling incredibly hydrated and soft.

Things I’m enjoying from inkey list
Things I’m enjoying from inkey list
Inkey List has been slowly making more of an appearance on my skin shelf. It’s a a brand that’s worth turning to when you want to try up-and-coming ingredients at an inexpensive price. There’s so much comparison between the Ordinary and Inkey List. I find them completely different. I see the Ordinary as an affordable option for tried and true ingredients, while Inkey List is in its own space for more trending ingredients, (turmeric, hemp seed oil) but in a more robust formula. THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic Balancing Moisturizer - I ran out of moisturizer when the lockdown was in full swing and snagged this from Shoppers Drug Mart during my quest to find toilet paper. It’s formulated with pro, pre and post biotics, which can potentially aid in strengthening the skin’s microbiome. This feeels immediately soothing upon application, I believe in large part thanks to the oat kernel oil. It has a gel cream texture that spreads very easily and leaves a soft, lightweight, radiant finish. It’s the perfect amount of occlusion for my oily skin! It does smells like yeast....but the scent disappears after application. The bottle is 30ml, but since the formula has a 6-month shelf life, I almost prefer this size. Have already repurchased this one! THE inkey LIST - Bakuchiol Retinol Alternative Moisturizer - This ingredient has been pitched as a gentler retinol alternative, but I was more interested in Bakuchiol for its promising (but still needs to be studied further) acne fighting potential. I heard from Dr Dray that there was a study showing effectiveness of retinoids and Bakuchiol, so I was eager to see if this would boost the benefits of Differin. I’m a bit indifferent about it. It is oddly cooling upon application, almost like the sensation when you use a tea tree oil product. I think It has a plant oil high in linoleic acid (which may help in making sebum more liquid and less pore clogging) so it leaves the skin feeling soft but not greasy. I’ve only been using this for a month. I do think it’s helping to speed up the healing of clogged pores, but I still need some time to see.... Update: I have passed along the Bakuchiol product to my boyfriend (my skin was feeling slightly more sensitized and decided just to stick with differin and forgo bakuchiol for now). He has added it as his last step moisturizer after using his usual peptide serum and his skin is noticeably firmer and fine lines around the eyes are less prominent. It’s definitely a good one for non-fuss people that want a simple product that helps with skin aging concerns.
