Daily AM Routine

currently restoring my moisture barrier but this has worked for my skin so far. I struggle with fungal acne, hormonal acne and seasonal eczema. My skin has been in this condition (8/10) for about a month so I can back my routine with helping me. Less dryness, glowing skin, almost no breakouts. I have dry skin, but it is also very sensitive. I just recently started in skin care so I am still learning. ( for PM, the only difference is that I take my makeup off with LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover
or Cetaphil - Liquid Makeup Remover
, and apply fARSÁLI - Rose Gold Elixir – 24k Gold Infused Beauty Oil
once a week, and Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original
every night as my last step. )
FACE WASH
Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
Nice and Simple Face wash, perfect for sensitive skin
TONER
BIODERMA - SensibioTonique
This product is very simple and light, perfect toner for sensitive skin
SERUMS
The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
The Ordinary - ''Buffet''
Kate Somerville - Kx Active Concentrates Squalane + Hyaluronic Serum
the holy grail 😍😍😍 And Juice Beauty Blemish Control Serum
EYECREAM
OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème
and DUFT & DOFT - Salmon Vgene Hydro Active Eye Cream
RETINOL/MOISTURIZERCeraVe - Skin Renewing Day Cream With Sunscreen SPF 30
Not sure how I feel about this just yet but I like how I don’t have to pile more sunscreen on. On some days, I use my other moisturiser CLINIQUE - Jumbo Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator
If I am wearing my day cream I usually don’t reapply more sunscreen over top, but if I am not I use.
SUNSCREEN
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60
I like it’s but it tends to come off and rub off easily. ❤️ Please let me know if you have any suggestions, esp eye creams and spot treatments and moisturisers ❤️

Product Mentioned
It’s cold outside New York- stay hydrated
Here’s a reminder to stay hydrated as it’s currently 9 degrees in New York. My top three hydrating must have: 1. Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original this is actually the CVS brand but they are the same to me. Vaseline needs no description. It’s absolutely a must have. I use it on my eyebrows, eyelids, my ears and my elbow. 2. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin I love cerave and this product is very light for daily use and especially for a day when I’m home I love using. 3. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 just because you’re home don’t forget to use your sun cream ladies. I received this from Cherie as a gift and I’m so happy I found out about it. Will purchase it again. Stay hydrated and glowing ☀️☀️☀️

Skin update My skin is looking a lot better . It’s still healing from all the harsh products I used I’ve ther year new year clean start . I’ve been washing my face every night with sensitive soap bar and after putting Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original and POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream . And in the morning tubing my face with ice to wake me up and brighten my skin then drying my face with a towel then putting Vaseline - 100% Pure Petroleum Jelly, Original then putting some sun skincare . I’m only 17 and still learning about my skin . I watch Dr.pimple popper night routine and how she described her skin was a lot like mines dry and sensitive so I’m going to be trying some off the products she used in her video .

✨A Buffet for your Skin✨
I love using this product for my daily skin routine to add little bit of hydration. The "buffet" from the ordinary has multitasking water-based serum which cleverly targets multiple signs of skin ageing and improves overall skin health. It helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, boost hydration, fade pigmentation, brighten dull skin, and firm and smooth skin texture. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' ✨Don't forget to like and follow for more✨ also follow my Instagram page at @sweet_citrustea

I'm on the Fence, What do You Think? ✨
Food for your skin? Haha maybe, the name is inspired by those amazing restaurant phenomenons that seem to have disappeared during the pandemic😉. This is because it contains more ingredients than the usual single ingredient products Deciem offers through this line. It has a lot of appeals, but let's address some issues with this and see if a solution is possible. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' It's a little acidic and tingly for a serum. I like a serum that gives me a soothing sensation and this definitely does not. It is supposed to tingle a little bit because of the peptides, but it's not something I want to experience every day! I don't like how this sits under makeup, it begins to pill and feels like it sits on top of my skin, so it prevents my makeup from absorbing properly. There are a lot of people reviewing this saying that they see no results. I think they should double check the interactions of other products they may be mixing with this. There is a do not mix list of ingredients to note while using this. The following ingredients may affect the performance of the peptides or cause irritation, so get these out of your skincare routine if you try this! Vitamin C Direct acids such as glycolic acid or lactic acid or salicylic acid. Niacinamide (what!? My fave ingredient!?) Retinol Considering this list, I had to change my daily moisturizer which is also my SPF that contains Niacinamide and lactic acid. Is it worth it? I'm not sure yet lol. I'm thinking because it also doesn't sit well under makeup, It might become a bedtime serum for me. Letting this work its magic overnight seems more appealing and then I can follow it with a soothing serum in the morning 🙂. This works for me, but if you are a religious retinol user it might not fit into your routine. Overall, this product is trickier to use than it may seem. They advertise it as an all in one miracle, but you can't mix it with many products. You need to be strategic to see results. There may be a solution to the tingling. Possibly diluting it with a basic moisturizer like you can do with The Ordinary Vitamin C serum... But most tingling products do this for a reason, so idk. It's a “find what works for you” kind of product and although I don't think it's a bad one, I also think it depends on your skincare routine and objectives. If you prioritize certain ingredients like I do (Niacinamide and lactic acid) then maybe it's not worth it to you? P.s Some deeper info on this products key workers! Peptides – Peptides are the proteins and molecules that make up the building blocks of skin, and keep it feeling smooth, firm, and bouncy. They send signals to cells which encourages them to produce more collagen (which our bodies loose as we age). Matrixyl – Matrixyl is a powerful peptide blend which is formulated to have really long-lasting results. It specifically targets collagen production and repairs damage. Probiotics – Prebiotics are a food source for probiotics (‘good’ bacteria). By feeding and increasing the amount of probiotics, they lead to a stronger skin barrier and improved moisture retention. Amino acids – Amino acids work to strengthen skin, maintain hydration levels, improve resilience, and contribute to an overall healthy appearance. They also protect skin from free-radical damage that can lead to signs of ageing. Hyaluronic acid – Hyaluronic acid acts like a magnet to draw moisture into the skin. Each molecule can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, so it massively improves skin’s hydration levels.

Battle of sunscreens for my dark skin babes
I have combination skin, live in Fl (humid) and i wear a mask at work. So the struggle is real lol Im still taking recommendations for sunscreen thats dark girl friendly and combo skin friendly. So far the top one for me is unseen but I’m still undecided. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 This sunscreen i like. I dont love. It goes on like a weird primer (idk I’m a texture person). Even though i have combo skin i still like a natural glow because i don’t wear makeup. I still find that my face at I’ll gets slightly oily so idk if my skin is trying to compensate or what but yeah. It works well, its good if you wear makeup and a lot of people love it. Oil free, vegan and is clear. Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion 50 Default Title I don’t believe this is oil free. I think is a body spf. But you know how cerave lotion isn’t really a moisturizer but we use it anyway. I decided to give it a try. It comes out white, no cast at all i was surprised. It goes on like lotion (kinda like black girl sunscreen) but not as oily. If you have normal to dry, I think you’ll love it. I read reviews on their website and people use it on their face. So its okay lol. My first day using it so idk if I’ll end up a grease ball lol. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 Dont even bother, it has a cast but I noticed it clears off eventually. As i try to work into my skin it leaves an annoying residue. When i sweat i feel sunscreen. When i wash my face, it’s annoying. Not dark chocolate girl friendly. Its goos tho for other skin tones. Oil free BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 Its great for dark skin, normal to dry skin, no white cast and if your skin loves oils. Go for it. It definitely helps with glowy skin But oily and combo? Not so much. My face was wayyyy to oily even when i used less. The other 2 eminence red currant and lilikoi. Its okay. But I wouldn’t recommend for darker skin. And definitely not lilikoi (i looked like a ghost lol)

Sunscreen help
I have on the BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 which i love because its the only thing so far that doesn’t leave me looking like a ghost. I have combination skin. Problem is i live in fl and its hot and humid plus wearing a mask, i find that my face too oily over time. Then i got the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 Which when i first apply looks white but settles and it’s fine. But then it has this white chalky particles (maybe user error) Thats my face after applying black girl sunscreen. Any recommendation for sunscreen thats dark girl friendly, combination/ oily skin approved? Thank you!!

eye cream so BRIGHT 🌟🌞⚡️💥
OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème thank you cherie for gifting me my first ever eye cream !! I had heard so much about this product, so I was super excited to try it. the first thing we gotta talk about is the scent. i’m not the biggest fan of fragrance in skin care, but this product is too good that I don’t mind at all ! it smells like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice 🍊 and I love it ! as you can see, the texture of this product is amazing! it has a creamy thick texture that glides on the skin so smoothly. I guess a disclaimer would be that I don’t have dark under eyes, but I do notice a difference when I put this on! it brightens my whole under eye area and makes me look so much more awake! a little goes a really really long way with this product ! even if the tub is a little small, I don’t see it running out any time soon. $39USD for 0.5oz

MY 2020 FAVS 🌟🌟
2020 was my year for amping my skincare journey & trying many amazing products, and some that just didn’t make the cut, but here are some of my favs from 2020 that I’m bringing into 2021 with me ☺️ CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin i’ve talked about this one on my page before but it’s the best cleanser that I have ever tried ! the ingredients are packed full with skin treating ingredients such as niacinamide, salicylic acid and ceramids. it’s super hydrating, yet really gets the job done of cleansing my face and helping with present and future acne. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil if you don’t double cleanse, here is your sign to start! I have combo skin with large pores that are my worst nemesis. now I am not saying this gets rid of your pores (that’s unfortunately impossible), but it pulls out oil plugs, removes dirt, makeup and anything on your face from the day. this is my most satisfying step of my nightly routine and I know that i’ll be oil cleansing for the long run. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I think i’ve probably talked about this product maybe 10 times on my account, so that’s saying something about how great it is!! it’s such a gentle yet strong exfoliator that has helped my hormonal acne, uneven skin tone and reduced my redness and irritation. it’s packed with a punch and is an all round holy grail of mine. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution this one for me almost does the same trick as the paula’s choice 2% bha exfoliant, but it’s definitely a lot stronger. I love doing this once a week as a little recharge for my skin. another pro with this product is that a little goes a long way, so it lasts a long time! THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum you could call me a retinol newbie as I just got into it recently. since I just started, this one has been amazing! as it’s not good to start out with a strong retinol, I definitely recommend this one! it’s helped so much with my skin in terms of uneven skin tone, acne, and I think my blackheads are slowly decreasing. peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner day and night I use this and I love it ! it’s super duper gentle, yet is such a great toner. this is my first product i’ve used which includes snail mucin, but i’m digging it!! it’s helped so much with irritation and redness, as well as aiding present pimples, and preventing future ones. innisfree - Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36 the first proper face sunscreen that I have purchased! it doesn’t have a strong SPF smell and not too much white cast at all. I may be trying another SPF soon just to compare, but so far so good with this one! OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème I love it ! amazing smell, texture & has a nice tint to it to help reduce dark circles!

Morning Skincare Routine ☀️💛✨
I just posted my nightly skincare routine and now I wanted to show you what I do differently in the morning. 😊☀️ First I start with my cleanser Murad - Clarifying Cleanser which I went into detail in my last post about my likes and dislikes. Check it out if you want more information. Sometimes I swap this one for Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser if I feel like it’s too much on my skin and I want something more gentle just to wash and nothing more. Next I do my eye cream (reviewed in nightly routine post) Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream After the eyes I do a spot treatment on those random pimples that pop up (only when necessary). Murad - Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment Along with the spot treatment I’ll apply some Murad - Outsmart Acne Clarifying Treatment only if my acne is really bad. It helps to clear it up faster but I rated it 3 stars because it’s got kind of a sticky feel afterwards which isn’t the nicest feeling but it gets the job done. Later I use FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which I love!!! It’s so hydrating, the texture is heavy but when you rub it in it feels lightweight. The only reason I took off a star is because I feel like it’s not the best moisturizer for my oily skin but on the days when my skin is more dry it works wonders! I even put some on my hands because you only need to apply a little amount. Murad - Oil and Pore Control Mattifier Broad Spectrum SPF 45 PA++++ Can’t forget the SPF! I know there’s probably cheaper brands than this but this has been my favorite SPF I’ve used because again it’s not heavy, it’s hydrating, and it is very good on my oily skin. After the SPF, apply a little bit of the JLo Beauty That Blockbuster Cream under my eyes because it does give a bit of a glow that I look for. It was a free trial size but I probably won’t purchase the full thing because it’s not that amazing. I haven’t noticed major changes or anything. To finish off my routine I’ll either immediately spritz some CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir on my face or I’ll use it as a setting spray if I’m apply makeup. The smell isn’t amazing but it feels so refreshing and it’s exactly what I need at the end of all these products. Can’t forget my new favorite lip balm hello - CBD Vegan Lip Balm Natural Sweet Mint Flavor it’s a bit oily feeling but it smells divine and it’s great to use right before whatever lipgloss I’m wearing (if any). Do you use any of the same products or have you had experience with them? Write your thoughts in the comments below! 🖤✨🙏🏻🥰

When hydration is needed 💦
I am a dry skinned girl so I am always on the look out for hydrators and moisturizers. This is especially the case as I like to use actives in my routine and they can further dry out my skin. Hyaluronic acid is one of my go to ingredients as it draws moisture into my skin and it works well with other ingredients. The ordinary offers this serum which is great as it is super affordable and it works well with my skin. What is it: This is a hyaluronic acid serum with 3 different weighted molecules so that it can penetrate and hydrate different layers if the skin. Hyaluronic acids is a humectant meaning it absorbs moisture from the air and draws it into the skin. This serum also has b5 which helps nourish and soften the skin. Texture: This is a goopy and cloudy serum that is easily absorbed into my dry skin. Price: This sells at Sephora for $6.80 cad for 1 oz or $12.20 cad for 2oz How I use this: I use this along with my steamer to make sure that the air is moisture rich in order to draw moisture to my skin. This ensures I get the best result. Pros 👍: affordable 2 sizes available accessible effective cruelty free 🐰 Cons 👎: some people don’t like the texture you shouldn’t over use hyaluronic acid (check other products) The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 this is a super simple serum that has really helped my dry skin

1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

The gift of good skin!
For Christmas, I made my sister a new skincare routine! She has combo acne prone skin with some sensitivity and redness, she also complained of some dark circles around her eyes. She currently uses terrible products and is pretty lazy when it comes to skincare so she doesn’t even wash her face everyday! I tried to design something simple, affordable, and easy to keep up with (e.g. mostly drug store products) but also an effective starting point for her skin needs! How did I do? AM: Cleanser: OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser Eyes: THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Moisturizer: Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer PM: Makeup remover/lazy day cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover Cleanser: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanseror CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skindepending on what her skin is doing Eyes: THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream Moisturizer: CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion For dry days or dry patches: CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream Spot Treatments: ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gelor PEACE OUT - Acne Healing Dots Masks: OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Maskand YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask

Balanced PH & Clear Skin from Toner
Toner is always listed as the very first step in skincare routine. The texture is so light weighted and almost watery. Product from drugstore to high end range from $5 all the way to $200 + per bottle. Do we really need it? Is it worth it? And how to use it? With all these questions I had always have, today I got the solutions to these. Toners basically resorts the PH level of our skin. At the same time, it works to shrink the appearance of pores. It gives that quick and effective hydration directly on the surface of skin. Last but not least, it also works to take away leftover dead skin cells or impurities. Dead skin cells could clog pores that leads to bearkouts. Toners are tonic for skin. Although they are all water texture, different formulas in it are targeting different skincare concerns including cleansing, hydrating, brightening or exfoliating. Or maybe all of the above. They way toners work is to give a quick hit of hydration by taking the layer of dead skin cells. The best way to use toners is to use cotton pads to soak it, and apply it on the face by swiping outward from the sides of the nose and upward. It is very hydrating and calming. It is best to do it this way when you are actually use toners for cleaning to remove all the impurities. You can also use bare hands like I always do ( who actually have that time in a workday morning?). This way you just simply put in in the palm and then gently pad it in. Meanwhile you are not waste any single drop of your toner. These 2 are my favorite drugstore toners. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover I bought this toner recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It has a pleasant fresh smell and is very good for cleansing dry skin. I find it leaves my skin really velvety soft and without a trace of dryness. VICHY - Pureté Thermale Mineral Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin It is so soothing, lightweight and makes my skin so comfortable. The formula is very gentle and calming. Meanwhile it helps other skincare products absorb well into the skin without irritating my skin. This toner is completely worth trying if you are in the market for a new toner.

Current Products I'm Using
I have oil/combo skin and been struggling with hormonal acne for a few years now which is mainly around my chin. I have noticed some positive changes but also some negative ones, for example I have more blackheads in areas besides my nose which I never had before. Here are the products I've been using lately. AM Routine I don't cleanse in the morning just splash water on my face and pat dry, then I apply PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster after I apply moisturizer e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free then sunscreen Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract PM Routine During the day I don't wear much makeup just some mascara so I just use GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water for my first cleanse, then I go in with PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore Normalizing Cleanser which I am just about out of so I will be using CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanserwhich I haven't tried before but decided to buy it because of all the hype! Than I apply my toner and depending on my skin at the time I will either use PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner or I'm from - Rice Toner I have just recently purchased and starting using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% then I moisturizer with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator twice a weeks and PAULA'S CHOICE - 1% Retinol Treatment with Peptides + Vitamin C 3 times a week. My skin is still breaking out so I'm gonna try eliminating certain products to see if I can pin point what is causing the breakouts and blackheads. I recently purchased a cleansing brush and I'm gonna start by eliminating the Paulas choice BHA Exfoliator and start using the brush 2 or 3 times a week instead. If that's not the problem then I'm gonna try taking out the Vitamin C. If anyone has any advice or tips I am all ears!!!

My current products that I’m trying out. My least favorite is the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, it’s sticky and I’m pretty sure it likes to rub off my skin. Not sure what the issue is with it. Also the creams like to rub off my skin as well. Any tips for this issue, is the product to heavy for me? Non of these leave me waking up with a glow or refreshed feeling, but I think they are helping my skin but I do wish I had a mask or something that I can use and wake up with some moisture.

Farsali Review x3 😁😐☹️
I bought three Farsali products as part of my most recent Ipsy bag: the Unicorn Essence Antioxidant Primer Serum, the Liquid Glads Radiance Serum and the Rose Gold Elixir - 24k Gold Infused Beauty oil. I used all three the last couple days and I have some good news and some bad news (oh and some middle news 🤪). Let’s start with the good news. The Unicorn Essence Serum is AWESOME! Five stars. I used it as a serum the past few days and it is so pretty. It made my skin look radiant and glowy and it smelled like a cupcake. The middle news is the Liquid Glass Radiance Serum, which I used as a primer (both serums can be used as serums or primers) and it was kinda meh. It made a nice glow, but made my pores look a little bigger and did nothing to actually prime my skin for my other makeup. I’m definitely going to use it as a serum only. Now for the bad news, the Rose Gold Elixir is supposed to be used as the moisturizer step in your skincare routine. So, that’s how I used it and I did NOT like it. I used a small amount and it just sat on top of my skin, making it look very greasy. It also smells really weird. So, I’m not a big fan. I’m disappointed, because I really like some facial oils for soft skin and an added glow, but this product is not it. If you swipe to the next photo you can see me with all three products and no other makeup on. It just turned out to be kind of a wash. Hope these reviews help, I can’t recommend the Unicorn Serum enough 🦄 ! fARSÁLI - Unicorn Essence Antioxidant Primer Serum fARSÁLI - Liquid Glass Radiance Serum fARSÁLI - Rose Gold Elixir – 24k Gold Infused Beauty Oil

Would I re-purchase?
Here are some products I have been using for a while now. I got two from my Ipsy Glam subscription and the cleanser I bought at a BoxyCharm pop up sale. I wanted to have a little time to use these to really see how they work. And now I feel I can honestly share! Murad - Age Reform Perfecting Day Cream SPF30 50ml ✨ Claims it is a light weight moisturizer with anti-aging and SPF. ✨The real real. It is not light weight. I used this daily in the summer and it seemed to be ok for a while. I loved the SPF level it really did protect. But after a while it just seemed to give me a greasy feel which is why I stopped using it. I even broke out. I used half of it because one it’s expensive and I thought maybe I put on too much so I gave it another go and you guessed it, I broke out. I am not sure why. Smells like sunscreen, I like that smell but some may not. 😂 This is a pricey cream at $65 and I definitely wouldn’t repurchase. My skin can’t decide what it is it goes from dry to combo to greasy and this cream doesn’t work for me. But I think someone with super dry skin would benefit. PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser ✨Claims to be a deep cleaning, soothing, and hydrating cleanser. Contains Camellia & Chamomile. ✨The real real. I AM IN LOVE!!! I have always used acne clearing cleansers. And this one surprised me! I did try the YTTP cleanser and it was good but this Peach and Lily cleanser is awesome!!! It smells absolutely amazing, you totally smell the chamomile. Your skin is so clean and it’s definitely not over drying. It even helped calm breakouts. It does all it says in my book! Just a wonderful cleansing experience! Even at $28 I would DEFINITELY re-purchase! DUFT & DOFT - Salmon Vgene Hydro Active Eye Cream ✨Claims to be a total regeneration anti-aging and brightening eye cream. Derm tested! ✨The real real. I love this eye cream. It tackles all my issues in one tube. The skin around my eyes is super sensitive to eye creams and this one is so creamy and non irritating. My eye skin hated the Murad eye renew cream it burned...this is just reference for my sensitivity. I do feel that this cream has done a great job with my eyes. My only complaint is that you can’t see through the tube... I can’t see how much is left! 😫 At about $20 on Amazon depending on the seller I would definitely re-purchase. It’s a large tube if product that actually delivers. Have you tried any of these? #CherieCreator❤️

Glowy Skin Products Without The Heaviness ✨✨
I love a good dewy skin look.. but did you know you can do it even if you have combo oily skin. (It’s also non-comedogenic)! (L👉🏽R Order of Routine) KORRES - Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser this is a great gentle cleanser. It leaves my skin soft and doesn’t dry it out like other cleanser do. The yoghurt has collagen, amaranth seeds with vitamins and antioxidants, sea water for minerals and hydration (I can use this day & night & even for makeup removal)! KORRES - H2Rose Hydrating Face Mist I love this hydrating mist. I use it more as a Essence and skin prep for my vitamin C serum. I only use this during the day now because of the vitamin C concentration in it. Seoul Ceuticals - 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum my current favorite vitamin C serum The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA my go to Hyperpigmentation treatment Perricone MD - Cold Plasma+ Advanced Serum Concentrate this is my favorite treatment that’s a serum/creams it has vitamin C ester & omega 3,6,&9. Its marketed to improve lines, wrinkles, & hyper pigmentation & IT WORKS ! I got this during a Boxycharm pop up for $35!!!! (It’s $145) DUFT & DOFT - Salmon Vgene Hydro Active Eye Cream the more I use this the more I like it. It has helped my undereye wrinkles a lot TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 this is the main recipe for the glow! It’s my broad spectrum protection sunscreen. I mainly use this when I leave the house for that xtra glow or when I want added protection.

Skin Care Products I use Regularly
Can you please tell me which product I should stop using and recommend which new products I should try? I have very oily skin but my skin tends to get irritated and dehydrated after I cleanse it. All the products I’ve been using help me with my acne and blackhead problems and my new goal is to minimize my pores and to have healthy clear skin. Thank you!

My 7 Skin Method Products:
**If your not sure what the 7-skin method is refer to my Korean 7-Skin Method post** BIODERMA - SensibioTonique pixi - Glow Tonic I just started using these but so far so good!! Bioderma is amazing my skin loves it...and this tonic can be used by sensitive types it is super gentle, lightweight and absorbs easily!! It contains water + Glycerin (a humectant) so you are definitely getting hydration from this product. I’m sure this product is going to stick around for a while!! The Pixi toner has 5%glycolic acid...I know it may seem harsh but it’s pretty gentle on my oily dehydrated skin. But it can be irritable to sensitive skin types so I don’t recommend to sensitive skin types. By the way I don’t always use the exfoliating toner in my 7-Skin Method I only use it 2-3 time a week! As it is recommended with any exfoliating at max. My 7-skin method for the most part is comprised of 4 layers of hydration and 1-2 layer of exfoliant 2-3 times a week! When I don’t exfoliate I will layer Bioderma 4-7 times. Remember Hydrated skin is Healthy and Happy Skin!

Skins problems: I tend to get mild Rosacea on my lower cheeks and develop tons of blockheads in the creases of my nose, chin and between eyebrows. Other than that I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and normal to dry everywhere else. Where I’m at... So I kinda feel down the rabbit hole into skincare the other month and have tried using a morning routine as follows: GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Made my skin so smooth really quickly, love this one) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel Neutrogena - Sheer Zinc Face Lotion SPF 50 (leaves a really bad white tint which I can’t seem to get rid of) And a nighttime routine as follows: CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap (leaves my skin a bit tight-feeling) PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator (I think it’s working I just can’t really tell) CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 2 For Dry Combination Skin (a bit drying but I don’t want to waste the product) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Made my skin so smooth really quickly, love this one) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel Outcomes so far: My skin is overall more hydrated and smoother but I still find black dots in my problem areas. Plea for help I have seen improvements but I feel like I don’t quite know what I’m doing and could use some external input. Plz feel free to add any (and I mean any) tips or critique. Thank youuuuuuu

My daily skincare routine!
My daily skincare routine!
My favorite aspect of hygiene is skincare. I’ve become a bit obsessed with it for over the last year because I’m still trying to learn what works for me and what doesn’t. I am a teenager with skin that is sometimes dry combination and sometimes oily combination and while I don’t get acne that often, when I do I’m usually left with acne scars, whether I pop my pimple or not 🙃 So here’s my ratings on my skincare routine!!! Am routine; I start by oil cleansing my face with organic coconut oil, which is what is in the orange pill bottle (gotta reuse where you can LMAO) I then use Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser which I really enjoy because it doesn’t strip my face and make it feel tight or anything (it’s also fun to use because yk...it’s foam 😭) after cleansing I use Queen Helene - 100% Cocoa Butter, Stick because I’ve been using it to treat the tricky dark spots I’ve accumulated from acne and I’ve been using it ever since I became a teenager I then use the e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer because it is lightweight but really moisturizing and it doesn’t make me look incredibly shiny finally I use Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF30 I use the spf 85+ one because it’s summer and almost days I am outside for some reason or another. Spf in the black community is sometimes seen as silly when it’s applied everyday (my mom thinks I’m crazy for using it on a daily basis) but I know that it’s good for you and it’s helped with my dark spots Pm routine; I start off with my organic coconut oil again because most days I have on at least mascara so I need to get my makeup off I then use Aveeno - CLEAR COMPLEXION Cream Face Cleanser With Salicylic Acid and I like it a good amount although I thought I’d see bigger results but I’m sure I have to just keep using it. I’m not the biggest fan of salicylic acid and for a really long time I avoided it because it can be so drying but since it’s summer my skin gets really oily and my little light cleansers can’t stand on their own to battle my oil and acne. I’ve had a pretty good experience with this cleanser though, it isn’t drying at all and it’s really refreshing, I just took off a star because I want to get to use it more to see how it works for me on regular nights that aren’t exfoliation nights I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and on exfoliation nights (Sunday’s and Wednesday’s ofc) I use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (which is in the rad dispenser bottle with the blue top). I enjoy both of the products and I can really see the difference when I don’t exfoliate with the glycolic acid vs when I do. after treating my skin I go in with my coco butter again finally I use THE inkey LIST - Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer

Morning Skincare Routine for Oily Skin
Morning Skincare Routine for Oily Skin
I used to struggle with bad, hormonal acne about a year ago and I am so happy to have a morning and night routine that actually works for my skin! I have pretty oily skin and definitely still break out every now and then so it’s not perfect but much better than it was a year ago! Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser (this is the one for normal to oily skin) I don’t use much but I use it morning and night! I have tried so many cleansers but I always come back to this one! I just wet my face and apply about a pump to my face and gently rub it in then wash off with water and PAT dry. Don’t rub the towel/cloth into your face it can be damaging and irritating. Cheap and works amazing! It is also not super over drying! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I just started using this about a week ago so I can’t really say how much it’s done but so far I love it!! I also use it morning and night. I apply 2 drops into my hand(do not touch the dropper to your face) and gently PAT the serum into my dry face. Once it starts feeling tacky, I know it has settled into my skin. I only use 2 drops because a little goes a long way and you really don’t need more than that to cover your entire face. I do use a prescribed acne treatment morning and night so that has a lot to do with my skin clearing up. I use it right after this step and mix it in with my moisturizers since it won’t work on my dry face by itself. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Oil Free Facial Moisturizer Sunscreen I then use SPF which is super important to do in the morning. I don’t love this sunscreen but it’s the only one I have currently. I do want to try out the CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30once I have the chance to purchase it. I’m not super picky with my morning moisturizer as long as it doesn’t make my skin look greasy. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream I love this eye cream for the mornings since it is hydrating and if I do wear makeup, makes that go on easily. It’s also not heavy which is a big thing for me. I prefer gel eye creams over heavier creams.

First Skin Update!
First Skin Update!
Here’s a no make-up selfie for the record! I just started to change my skin routine a couple of days ago so there’s not a ton of difference to see yet. Mostly a lot of the inflammation and redness has been majorly calmed down, thanks to The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and skipping the harsh physical exfoliants I used to use. My main concern is healing acne, decongesting my skin and pores, and repairing and protecting from further damage. As my skin is very sensitive, calming and non-irritating products are a must! I’m hoping to see overall less redness and swelling as I change my skin routine. Products currently in my routine: 🌿 CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin 🌿 BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water 🌱 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🌱 THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum 💦 THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic 💦 CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ 🌞 Avène - Mineral Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50+ There are a few other serums and masks I have but I’m trying not to use anything for a few days while my skin gets used to the new things I’ve added, just in case any irritation develops. I’ll be sure to make updates on how some of these have been working, and which ones I’ll be phasing out. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these products, or if you have some recommendations for others! 🖤⛓🌿

My Full Skincare Routine for Oily Skin
My Full Skincare Routine for Oily Skin
This updated skincare routine saved my face AND my wallet! My face recently started breaking out a lot more frequently, so I decided to switch up some of the products I use. This updated skincare routine is broke college student friendly and will make your bank account happy! MY MORNING ROUTINE 1. CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I use the Cera Ve foaming cleanser which has worked wonders for my skin! I used to use Simple Micellar Gel Cleanser, but recently it has been sold out everywhere I look, so I decided to change. Changing cleansers has helped a lot with oil control, and how shiny my fave looks throughout the day. 2. Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 This is a moisturizer I have been using for a while. It is amazing for anybody with oily skin! This product not only moisturizes but it also absorbs excess oil your skin might produce throughout the day! It also serves as my SPF, as it has SPF 30 in it. Typically I will pair it with MORPHE - Hint Hint Skin Tint to hide some of the white pasty look the SPF gives the mousturizer. MY MIDDAY ROUTINE 1. Typically I will work out during midday, and if that is the case, I am always sure to use CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin again to cleanse my face and will reapply makeup if needed afterwards. MY NIGHTTIME ROUTINE 1. Typically I will use CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin in the shower, and it works the same. 2. The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA This is my lactic acid treatment I use every night, when I get out of the shower. I've learned that leaving it on overnight works best for my skin, and then I will wash it off the next morning. 3. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is a moisturizer designed for overnight use for oily skin! I rated it 4 stars instead of five, because it does make my face slightly oily right after applying it to the skin, but it does serve it's purpose for an over night moisturizer. 4. MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion This is the last product I will use, and even then I only use it on occasion. This is a spot treatment that is used overnight, that is supposed to help with acne. It got three stars because everyone rages about it working overnight and having the pimple gone the next morning. However, in my experience I have learned that it does not work overnight, and typically I will use it 2-3 nights in a row on the same pimple.
