These products are one of those things that I think everyone needs in their medicine cabinet. Pimple patches are a new innovated way to treat pimples without drying out your skin with harsh treatments. There are different kinds of patches though depending on what type of break out you have. For whiteheads: HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell
This patch is 100% hydrocolloid. You put these on dry skin over night (or whenever you want really) and by the morning or in a min of 6 hours you’ll see the gunk that the patch pulled out of your pimple. Once you take the patch off the pimple will be basically gone. These truly are incredible. For those deep under the skin pimples: HERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for Blemishes
You know those horrible painful blemishes we get sometimes that don’t come to a head but are just this angry red bump of evil? These work wonderfully to kill that yucky spot with 173 micropoints that deliver the treatment (0.5% salicylic acid) to the pimple. When you apply these you have to push down for roughly 30 seconds and you can feel the points going into the pimple , it doesn’t hurt. By morning my angry demons where reduced or they came to a head where I could put the normal dots on and suck everything out without having to squeeze and irritate it more. Aftercare: HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm
Now, sometimes after these pimple patches you are still left with a red dot on your face and some dryness. This cream is perfect for that! It is formulated with panthenol, beta glucan, and oligopeptides to not only moisturize and heal but to also gently exfoliate. This has toned down a lot of the inflammation I get with pimples! I also use it when I sometimes get out of hand and pop the zit because I have 0 self control.

End of Day 8, Before Routine
Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, I've been caught up with work but still continuing my routine. These pictures were taken before washing my face today just to see if there's been any improvement. So far I've noticed my acne isn't the main issue today, it's the red spots. I have a few pimples here and there compared to how it was at the beginning of this week. I am still waiting to receive my products from Hero Cosmetics, and I am looking forward to trying out the HERO COSMETICS - Micropoint for Blemishes, HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm, and the HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wandthe most! I will keep you guys updated and thank you for being here with me on my journey to healthier skin (:

Acne patches!
So I try a lot of acne patches because although my skin is usually fine, as a woman we get periods and those hormones cause me to break out. I usually use HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell and get this off of Amazon but I found it to be on the tad expensive side even though it does work. I then also bought the ZITSTICKA - Goo Getter which I have yet to use and is also not super cheap but I think it will work as well. I recently purchased the CRÈME shop - Cotton Candy Skin Hydrocolloid Acne Patches and the CRÈME shop - Dreamy Skin Hydrocolloid Dark Spot Acne Patches after seeing one of my fav youtubers talk about it and well, it’s not only affordable but it works! I got it directly off their site and it works amazing not to mention that it smells great and looks cute! They’re like $4.50 each so I bought a few and I would totally buy more! Don’t spend a lot when there are affordable options! My dark spots are clearing but slowly (after a few days) and my acne just vanishes! I definitely recommend this!

Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.

Face Picking Relapse & How I’m Moving Forward
So.. it happened. I relapsed and started picking my face again for the umpteenth time. I won’t lie, relapsing on a bad behavior like skin-picking sucks! I definitely beat myself up over it and even gave up entirely on stopping for a few weeks. That is, until I realized that feeling bad about myself and actively allowing myself to pick were absolutely never going to help me stop. The only way to stop is to be kind to myself and try again. Now, I’m choosing not to focus on my relapse or the fact that I was only able to stop for a few days. It’s happened many times before and it will surely happen again. After all, picking is a compulsion, and usually not a conscious choice. In addition to my other “stop picking” behaviors mentioned in my last post , here’s what I’ve been doing since my little revelation: Stopped keeping a tally of “days without picking”I realized I was way too hyper focused on the number of days I could go without picking and it was actually making me think about picking more. If I catch myself picking I stop and move on, I’m basically not making myself feel shame or guilt anymore. This has helped me significantly cut down on picking Started seeing a therapist. I’ve wanted to try therapy for years and finally gathered the courage to do it! My therapist has made it clear that this is a really tough thing to stop but she has been helping me identify why I pick which is something I had never given any thought to. This is helping me to try to find what helps me not pick and behaviors I can do when I feel that “urge”. Even if this doesn’t help me stop picking, it’s been so beneficial to my mental health already. Changed my thinking I’ve been reminding myself that picking is like hitting the “un-do” button on my routine that I’ve worked really hard to develope. My active acne is staying away and the urge to pick lessens significantly when I don’t have any scabs or spots to pick at. Some other things that have really been helping with my skin: DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream *HG🙌🏼 HERO COSMETICS - Rescue Balm -this stuff seems to heal spots I pick at in hours! I put it on immediately after picking and before bed. Seriously helps cut down on scabs to pick at. I’ve also started to eat more anti-inflammatory food (currently obsessing over blueberries). It may or may not be a placebo effect but I swear my skin has been way less inflamed! First picture is when I “gave up”and second picture is my skin today. I still have a ways to go but I feel like I’m finally making progress.

i love this product!! i put this on right after i take off a pimple patch and wash my face. i was already using pimple patches but when i paired it with this... GAME CHANGER. i see my pimples heal almost over night and with continued use i see them fade as if they weren’t even there within a week or so. NO LIE. and a little goes a long way. i also put this on pimples that i didn’t apply a patch on and i feel it helps with redness and speeds up the healing process. def recommend! Hormonal acne can be a hard pill to swallow
Hormonal acne can be a hard pill to swallow
This ones for my fellow hormonal acne sufferers. Sadly, I’ve learned the hard way that while topicals can certainly help reduce my acne, they’re simply not enough to get my face clear. Enter: oral prescriptions. As you can probably tell, I got these from the online dermatology service Apostrophe. They’re similar to Curology (which I was using before), except they offer a wider variety of oral meds like these. Curology did prescribe me an antibiotic at one point, but antibiotics can’t be taken long term, so my acne returned once I finished the course. The meds here are an antibiotic and a drug called spironolactone. Again, the antibiotic isn’t something I’ll continue to take, but it’s helping me see results faster as the spiro takes a few months to start showing results. Spiro is often prescribed for hormonal acne in women, as it’s an androgen blocker. I’ve been taking these for about five weeks now and my face is almost clear of new acne! Of course, it’ll take another few months to see if the spiro keeps me clear long term or if it’s just the antibiotics working in the short term, but I’m very hopeful that spiro + topical tretinoin is the right combo for me. *Note: you should ALWAYS be honest with your doctors about your medical history and any other meds you’re taking, as drug interactions can have serious effects. You cannot take either of these drugs if you’re pregnant, and since spiro is a blood pressure drug, you need to tell your doctor if you already have issues with low blood pressure. Antibiotics can also mess up your stomach, so I highly recommend taking a probiotic with it (though not at the exact same time—for example, take the spiro with lunch and take a probiotic before bed).

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patcg
COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patcg
👼🏻 Can we tell that’s a halo? Okay good. Because these COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches have been an absolute angel of mercy in this fun spontaneous outbreak of adult acne I’m having 😊 (which if anyone is following along I stopped taking the Viviscal and it seems to be clearing up) 👼🏻 I’m not huge on acne spot treatments because a.) I’m not usually very acne prone and b.) I feel like a lot of them don’t do anything. But in a fit of desperation at my local Beauty Tapl I grabbed a pack of these. First of all, it $6 for 24 patches which is much more reasonable than a lot of similar products out there (Peace Out, Dr. Jart...I’m talking to you). Second of all these stay on all day and are relatively unnoticeable as they are just little translucent circles. The stickers help deter me from picking too which is something I love to do and the hate myself for after. Third of all I was SHOOK at how well these worked. After like six hours of being on, the spots I had placed them over were nearly gone and by the next day totally eradicated. The main active ingredient in these is hydrocolloid which is an interesting little ingredient that draws out impurities then forms a soft gel over the blemish (like a little bandaid 🥰). 👼🏻This product is cruelty free, vegan, and free of alcohol, parabens, sulfates, fragrances, and silicones. It doesn’t dry out or irritate my skin at all like some spot treatments have in the past. This is such a wonderful product. Strongly recommend if you’re struggling with breakouts at all.

Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch
COSRX-Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch
Are pimple patches worth it?
Are pimple patches worth it?
I have finally hopped on the pimple patch bandwagon due to desperation! I developed a whitehead on my upper lip about a week after getting my lip threaded (another form of hair removal). And guess who is going to see their boyfriend in FOUR days? 🙂 I quickly ran to the the store two days ago to find a (hopefully) quick fix and settled on a pimple patch. •HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell Application and removal was self-explanatory. The instructions advise you to leave it on a minimum of six hours so I just slept with it on overnight both nights. After using these for the past two nights they visibly appear to have helped. Now there is still a red spot on my face, but is is mostly flat. Any puss/ickyness that was inside the pimple is mostly gone now. There is a slight residue when initially taking the patch off, but once rinsing/washing your face it goes away. Overall, I would use these if you were in a pinch and looking for a way to flatten out a pimple. I’m still going to have to wear makeup to cover the redness, but that’ll be much easier to do now that it is not textured/raised. I will continue using these for small, whiteheads. Acne is normal, Emma

the best pimple patches!!
the best pimple patches!!
ummmm these are hands down the best pimple patches i’ve ever tried!! and i’ve gone thru manyyyyy. the price kinda steered me away when comparing them to other pimple patches (they’re $16.99 when you include shipping compared to cheaper $5 ones). But once i tried these i was like yo these ACTUALLY work every time and i think about how it was more of a waste of money to be buying cheaper pimple patches that don’t even work properly. i’ve tried COSRX - COSRX Pimple Patch Set they’re okayy. felt like i still was left with a scar after. i’ve tried nexcare and the creme... just no ❤️ Hero cosmetics comes with 36 patches and it’ll last me a good 3-4 months. i’ll wear these in public sometimes and you barely notice cuz they’re so thin and transparent. they also have invisible patches which are made for the daytime and work just as well.

Been comparing these acne patc
Been comparing these acne patches for the past week and now I’m ready to share my thoughts! Ollie Belle Cover Dot Acne Care - out of the three brands that I tested, this has the strongest adhesive. I also like how the dots are sticked to a perforated packaging which makes it easier to peel. Saw the fastest results with this one, you can really see how much oil and pus it has absorbed! Hero Cosmetics Mighty Patch Original - protects blemishes and makes pimple heal faster overnight. Thickest from the ones I tried, great for in-house use. Would love to see how the Invisible one compares! They also have a Surface variant (a huge rectangle hydrocolloid sticker) that seems great if you’re breaking out in one area. A’Pieu NonCo Tea Tree Spot Patch - formulated with pure essential tea tree oil to help spots and grape seed oil to keep skin moisturized. Thinnest and contains different sizes which makes it perfect for all types of pimple. Might just be my fave out of the three and works better for me than the COSRX ones!
