Recipe for a gentle acne cream!! 🥺👉👈
If you have really dry skin and acne this is the recipe for you I don’t really have very dry skin only in specific spots and I also have acne so this is tested on me and it works!! It’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and it gets rid of my dry spot and acne at the same time!!!! The recipe: Vitamin E oil Nivea All I did was I took a little mask spatula (you can use anything to stir) then I put in a fair amount of vitamin e oil and begun to stir until creamy and milky. It’s ok if it starts to clump up first that means that the Nivea is in contact with the oil but the oils not in the Nivea yet. If you have oily skin I do not recommend this because it may make your skin more oily but if you have very dry skin I recommend this 💯 NIVEA - NIVEA Crème
Vitamin E treatments
Vitamin E moisturizers
Scented body creams
Dry and sensitive skin creams

AsianRockThank you, it normally takes 1-4 days again this is my skin and that is the time it took for me. And for dry spots it disappeared my dry skin patch in 2 days (not a big patch about the size of half a playing card 🎴)

Looking for La Mer Skin Dupes?
It’s not these. Sorry. I did the testing so you didn’t have to. To be fair, I didn’t mean to be the guinea pig, but here we are. NIVEA - NIVEA Crème Incredibly thick, needs a lot of emulsifying, pleasant smell. Horrible on the face. Does wonders for the dry skin on my hands, arms & legs. It says “does not clog pores” but, well...it does. Skip the face. WELEDA - Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream Very thick, definitely emulsify first, leaves an almost oily layer on the skin that takes a long time to sink in. Used it before bed as a night cream for almost 2 months. I broke out a lot. Overall I don’t hate this product, but again...skip the face. Use it on your dry winter hands.
Evening Routine Necessities 🌙 & a La Mer Dupe!?
SUNDAY RILEY - A+ High-Dose Retinol Serum — This is truly the fountain of youth! Compared to other products containing retinol, that I’ve tired, this is superior! (I do in part think the 6.5% retinoid is in part to blame.) I use this a couple times a week and it is the only thing that really reduces wrinkles/fine lines. I don’t use this product in conjunction with many others because it’s very strong—I’ll use a gentle cleanser with my Foreo Luna Play Plus, tone, apply eye cream, apply the retinoid, and then moisturize. $85 is a bit too pricey for me to purchase out front, so I waited for a sale and found it for $60 at Urban Outfitters during a 30% off beauty sale. NIVEA - NIVEA Crème — I purchased this online through Amazon for $11 after hearing on some blogs that it was a dupe for the elite LA MER - LA MER Moisturizing Cream(which retails for $190 for 1oz). While Nivea is sold stateside, usually in a plastic tub in their signature royal blue, I specifically ordered this one from Amazon due to the fact it’s the German version, which has a different formula than the US version and is therefore more similar to La Mer’s The Moisturizing Cream. While I haven’t tried La Mer’s moisturizer, I am really impressed with the German version of the Nivea Creme so far! I apply this in the evening by taking a small amount of product and rubbing it between my hands until it’s no longer white/thick, I then press it into my skin and move my hands in an up and out matter to blend it in. This creme is definitely fragranced, so it might not be the best for sensitive skin. After a few nights of use, the dry/flakey skin on the top of my forehead and nose have totally disappeared and swapped for smooth glowing skin! While I don’t think this is a necessity for the summer months, it’s been great to counteract the effects of fall winds and dry weather. If you’re going to buy this as a La Mer dupe, buy the German version on Amazon or through another retailer! SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rose Quartz Gua Sha — This is my first Gua Sha and I love it so far! Prior to purchasing this, I was using a jade roller from Ulta that I wasn’t blown away by—the roller always squeaked and felt rickety. The Gua Sha is incredibly easy to hold, clean, and use compared to the roller I tried. This is typically the last step in my routine, after a moisturizer, and I find it helps my products sink into my skin. To use, I follow a short YouTube video to use the Gua Sha to remove fluid from and lift my face. For $12, you can’t go wrong! Lano - Everywhere Multi-Cream — Instead of a super thick hand cream, I’ve been using this on my cuticles and tops of my hands to help my hands with the consistent hand sanitizer, washing, and dry fall weather. My hands and cuticles feel much softer and look healthier! This cream is unscented and can be used everywhere, a little goes a long way!

Most products are super inexpensive! Neutrogena - Fragrance Free Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes These are the best makeup remover wipes in my opinion. They are moisturized just enough and helps me get rid of stubborn mascara. Others I’ve used aren’t wet enough like these. Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub This has always been my holy grail, my go-to .. I don’t think I will use anything else for right now. It really cleanses my face and gets all the dirt/makeup off. I love witch hazel - it evenly tones out your skin tone and helps you keep a youthful look. I also just like that extra clean feel when using it. These are my top two - DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist I switch off from different moisturizers but I’ve been using Cetaphil for years. I also use a vitamin E Oil and or cream/ doesn’t really matter what brand for me as long as it’s 100% vitamin E oil/cream. Also Vitamin E oil helps you get mimimize dark marks/scars , helps with eczema, if you’re itching - this is perfect, and prevents fine lines and wrinkles. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream AS I AM - Vitamin E Oil
Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion Product: It is used as a daily moisturizing lotion. Helps and moistures dry skin. It is thick enough to stay on the skin, but not too heavy on the skin. Opinion: I've been using this product for 2 months now. It is fragrance free smell, which I really like. I like this product because it helps my skin, especially during the cold season. I would recommend this product because it helped my skin feeling soft and smooth. This product is worth the money, it is not expensive.
Aveeno-Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Best lotion. Ever.
The Aveeno daily moisturizer is a basic every day body lotion. If you have dry skin, this lotion will keep you moisturized for up to 24 hours. It has a creamy texture and is unscented, which is the reason I’ve been using it for years! Probably since I was a teenager. I just can’t stand the strong scents of other specialty store lotions, and it actually dries and makes my skin feel so soft, while other lotions have me feeling greased up. It’s super affordable, under $10, and can be found in most drug stores, as well as big chain stores like Target and Walmart. It’s phthalate and paraben free, as well as aluminum free.Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion

Benton Shea Butter and Coconut Body Lotion PRODUCT INFO: Benton Shea Butter and Coconut Body Lotion is a naturally-derived body lotion made with Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and 5-Hyaluronic Acid Complex. The body lotion helps to keep skin soft and silky without being sticky. BENEFITS: All-in-one lotion for body & face. Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, and MultiEx BSASM Plus (Patented ingredient) form a moisture barrier, protecting skin. Mild coconut scent and excellent spreadability. Moisturizes and nourishes rough and dry skin. Dermatologically tested and free of harmful ingredients. Body lotion safe for the whole family. For all skin types including sensitive skin. Volume: 250ml / 8.5 fl. oz. MY THOUGHTS: Unfortunately, it did not smell like coconut to me. Was hoping it would. Because it is made with coconut oil, I would not recommend for those with oily or acne prone skin as coconut oil can clog pores. This isn’t a lotion I would use on my face so I wasn’t worried. They also have a hand cream version which is all I could find online for purchase so no idea how much this is and where you can get. It was ok. Felt a little thin and I didn’t feel as moisturized after using as I do with a body butter. I’ll use up but won’t repurchase. I’d be curious to try the hand cream to see if there is a difference in formulation and feel.
Best for dry cracked hands
The Neutrogena Body Emulsion lotion is the best lotion for dry cracked skin. It is a fragrance free formula that is rich in glycerin and helps to form a protective moisturizing barrier on the skin. It is a saviour for itchy, dry skin. I use it in the winter especially on my lower legs and hands which are my biggest problem areas for dry skin. It instantly moisturizes and soothes the skin. It locks in the moisture and is very long lasting. It give a protective effect to the skin. It is very affordable and I definitely reccomend this lotion if you have dry sensitive skin. It will be a life saver! Your skin will feel incredibly soft after. Neutrogena - Sheer Oil-Lotion
These Hawaiian brands all smell different but AMAZING. I just wish the plumeria and passionfruit could emanate from your speakers. . Did I mention I'm in Hawaii (oh wait.. only like 9000 times) - So here are three more lovely brands for you to check out that come from right here on the islands and are chock-full of organic, botanical goodness. . Mahalo.Care Skin Care is a luxe line of skin care products hand crafted in small batches on Kauai and put in the most GORGEOUS bamboo containers. . Lau specializes in amazing body oils. I wish I could never run out of the Goddess Body Oil* that smells of sandalwood and jasmine. The Healing Propolis Balm* turns into oil with body heat and helps reduce irritation and redness. I have been using it as a lip balm. . Leahlani Bless Beauty Balm is another balm that just smells incredible. It's a floral scent that isn't too strong and leaves your skin soft and moisturized. I love this one because it's buildable and absorbs nicely into the skin.
Empty! Olay Whip Body Wash
OLAY - FOAMING WHIP BODY WASH *prone to eczema and dry skin I bought this little travel size body wash while I was in Calgary travelling for work. Long story short is that I forgot my entire shower bag and toiletries at home and had to immediately go to shoppers to replace everything. Ugh. This was like $5? A little pricey but expected because it’s W H I P P E D so obviously very unique and fancy and worth the money. HA. This smelled nice. I’ve always been a big fan of the Shea butter scents and whatnot so this was a safe bet for me. It also was kind of neat to have a whipped body wash instead of the usual liquid or gel. I expected it to be super moisturizing and I found that it was very not moisturizing at all. I really wanted to like this more. It’s just that, I would get out of the shower and feel how dry my skin was immediately. I could even seen the cracking/ash on my legs immediately after I used it. Maybe because it was winter and cold and I was extra dry but still? As expected I wouldn’t repurchase this but I hope they can do better with it because I really do love the texture piece.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
