🧡I thought I would give my first impressions of some new serums and some updated thoughts on serums I’ve talked about before. Serums: 💛Makeprem Idebenone lifting ampoule (PR) This is supposed to help the skin with anti-aging and make the skin look less dull with its star antioxidant ingredient idebenone. I have been loving this so far since It makes my skin feel hydrated and smooth! This was sent as PR by Stylevana so I will be doing a full review soon! (Discount Code: INF10BBK to save 10-15% Off 😉) 🧡A'pieu Madecassoside Ampoule Ok I’ve been using this serum so a while now (since June) and I absolutely love it! Probably one of my favourite finds of this year. It lightly hydrates and soothes my skin. This product is so good at repairing and calming my skin so I really recommend this one! 💛Skin&Lab Vitamin C Brightening Serum (PR) I’ve used this twice so far and I have no complaints! It has a nice texture especially for a vitamin C serum and I can’t wait to see how this can brighten up my hyperpigmentation! I will be doing a full review of this once I use this more! 🧡I Dew Care Bright Side Up Brightening Vitamin C Serum (Gifted) My first impressions of this one is that I really like the jelly texture it has! It is very hydrating, makes my skin look more plump and gives my skin a beautiful glow. Also want to see if this can brighten my skin dark spots. 💛I Dew Care Juicy Kitten (Gifted) This serum is super lightweight and is meant to soothe acne prone skin with ingredients such as Houttuynia Cordata Extract and Centella Asiatica Extract. It makes my skin feel refreshed and calm so I’m glad I have this to help with maskne! 🧡Soroci Morning Dirzzle Vita Toning Serum (PR) I’ve been using this for over a month now and I haven’t stopped reaching for it! Just an overall good serum to make my skin glow! Loving it in my morning routine Have you tried any of these?✨ Although some products were given to me as PR all opinions are my own.
My Take on VERSED Vit-C🍊
After I emptied my bottle of I DEW CARE - Bright Side Up Brightening Vitamin C Serum Cost 25$ 1oz. @ Ulta Which I loved! I just wanted to try the new brand Versed line at Target. And where better to start than with vitamin C 🍊! So I went and picked up VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Cost-19.99$ 1 oz. @ Target 🎯 CLAIMS 😏 Light weight, never tacky serum to help firm, hydrate, and strengthen the skin. Contains vitamin C for brightening and anti-aging a Contains licorice root and palmaria palmata extract for skin lightening properties. Also has niacinamide which helps even your skin tone. Contains hyaluronuc acid too!! Vegan & cruelty free! 🐭 For all skin types. MY EXPERIENCE 😊 So far I am not hating it! It does not smell like typical licorice it is a very faint smell. Slightly sweet. The texture is a tad thicker than the I Dew Care serum. You only use about 2-3 drops 💦 and gently pat it into your skin. BUT! It is sticky as you pat it around. So that claim is a bust....I don’t mind it and it doesnt stay that way. Does it do a better job than my late bottle of I Dew Care serum??? Honestly I think it’s about the same and it’s slightly cheaper. Only reason I gave 4 ✨ is because I favor the floral scent of I Dew Care. We will see how things are when I empty the bottle....it may sway me into a repurchase.
Take a peek inside my Skin Cabinets
Since my husband decided to use the guest bath I have claimed both cabinets....and all my products still don’t fit in them!! I’ll share my bathroom sink area in another post, along with my mini fridge and backup shelf. My fingers are tired from tagging all the products right now 🙈 Let me know if there are any you’re curious about. I believe most products you can find already reviewed on my page. But if there is one not posted about, let me know and I’d be happy to share my thoughts with you. Some of my must haves are: Farmacy Beauty- Honeymoon Glow, Better Daze Ahead & Cheer Up Indie Lee - CO-Q10 Toner and & Brightening Wash Medik8- Crystal Retinal & HYDR8 + B5 Caudalie - Radiance Serum Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Youth to The People - Superberry Mask, Energy Facial The Ordinary- Niacinamide & Hyaluronic & the Facial Peel Elemis - Suerfood Mask Many of these have been repurchases. If a product is sitting out on my counter or in my cabinets, I’m enjoying using them. I have baskets of products that didn’t work so well for me but I keep them for friends to try or to create fun texture art. It’s taken me at least an entire year to gain the collection I have. I had subscribed to many subscription boxes so a good majority of products came to me that way. I haven’t received PR in a long time and the few items I did receive were from some small companies. I don’t mind receiving PR/gifts I just am very picky about what I will use so sometimes the offers don’t jive with them. Let’s see your skincare cabinet ☺️ @CreateOnCherie @CheriePick
Milk Makeup ——eh🤷♀️
I’ve picked up a few products to give Milk Makeups skincare line a try. While I do love the Cleanser and tried the moisturizer as a sample and liked it as well, I can’t say I’m impressed with the others I have. Milk MAKEUP - Day + Night Serum and Mask Face Set Has the Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum and I haven’t seen any changes since using Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Face Mask and again no noticeable changes Milk MAKEUP - Melatonin Overnight Lip Mask I do enjoy the lip mask. It reminds me a bit of the Laneige Sleeping Mask but has a bit of a natural scent to it. Milk MAKEUP - Melatonin Overnight Serum again, no changes since using What I do like about the products are the roll on stick application. It’s a fun change of using traditional methods. I’ve just picked up the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara and so far am really liking it!!! Very clean and easy to apply. No smearing or flaking. Sorry such a blah review but that’s kinda my opinion of the brand. Just didn’t “wow” me. #CherieCreator

What am I doing wrong in my routine??!!!!
I made a post about a week ago detailing my skincare journey, and how I finally felt like I was getting on track again to my pre-covid glowy skin, never having many breakouts... but this week that all went in the garbage. I was so embarrassed to post these photos but I’m seriously so desperate for help to fix this, so I’m going to drop my routine below and hope that some saint out there will give me some advice on what’s going wrong! (my AM/PM routine are both the same) 1. Cleanse with the Murad - Clarifying Cleanser( has a 1.5% salicylic acid concentration) 2. On dampened skin I use the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, I would say I use about half a dropper or so full of the serum all over my face— not sure if that’s too little or too much? 3. For my toner I change between ELEMIS - Balancing Lavender Tonerand the SK-II - Facial Treatment Clear Lotion Toner , using a cotton pad on my acne breakouts and my T-zone 4. I go in with my The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but I recently found out i am using WAY more than I need to be, going in with about a half dropper full of serum every time I use the product. Thinking that might be a big factor, but I’m still not quite sure... 5. I also occasionally go in with the The Ordinary - ''Buffet''but again, honestly not even sure if I’m using the right amount, I have truthfully been using a full/half dropper of serum from each product I have from The Ordinary. 5. For my moisturizer I am currently using #Bvlgari - Nourishing Face Emulsion[products]#(I ran out of my previous moisturizer so I found a travel size bottle of this I got from a travel pack while flying) Not sure if this is even good tbh but it seems hydrating???? I also use salicylic acid spot treatments/acne patches occasionally before I go to bed to help with brutal whiteheads like the ones above. I know a lot of my breakouts have unfortunately been due to mask wearing, however, I make a point to wash my masks after every use, never rewearing a used mask, I wash my silk sheets/pillowcases OFTEN, I rarely put my phone up to my face to talk, but when I do I sanitize the screen. I feel like I have an entire ritual at this point, however I still deal with these breakouts/redness. I bought these items above because I had heard nothing but stellar reviews, however I am seeing little to no change in my routine, and if anything, it’s all significantly worse than the bare minimum routine I had a year ago before discovering skincare. My confidence hurts and so does my wallet 😭😭😭😭 I am a very critical person of my skin and my appearance, which never mixes well when I suffer from any kind of breakout or inflammation, but if anyone out there has a little advice for me, I would be so appreciative 😌
i wanna talk about MOISTURE !!!!
Story time LOL; when I was younger I was SO frustrated with my acne riddled complexion- I went way over the top with the acne treatments. I had complete tunnel vision and I was HARD on my skin. Like too hard. And I completely destroyed my moisture barrier :( I still had the same skin concerns as before PLUS dry, FLAKEY, sore and irritated skin. It was rough, no puns intended - a really difficult part of my skincare journey - BUT an absolutely pivotal moment. If this sounds familiar.... let me help u out bb♡ The HOLY GRAIL product for me ended up being WELEDA - Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream This is a suuuuper thick moisturizer. I would apply & reapply this as needed. There’s a lot going in the ingredient list here so make sure to do a patch test & check for irritation before you go full steam ahead. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin This is a fab, affordable, non comedogenic daily moisturizer to provide all over moisture for your face/neck/décolletage. Will be a lot less irritating compared to the heavier Skin Food cream. Using this CeraVe lotion with a face oil = major dream team. I likeThe Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane Okok then some things changed. I (temporarily) moved to a city where the humidity was like 80-90% DAILY (bad hair days on the reg, yes) & I was terrified because I spent so many years thinking that I shouldn’t be moisturizing my oily acne prone skin. 🤡 However, I noticed my skin was loving the humidity. Bit of an a-ha moment when I realized I might want to look into upping my moisture game. Humectant WHO?¿ This is when I found hyaluronic acid😍😍😍 My go-to HA routine is to spray on some HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray & while the skin is still damp apply The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 HA helps to retain moisture- a serious game changer for dehydrated skin 🥺 *start with a gentle cleanser & finish with SPF* Finally, the LOML, Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant CHANGED MY LIFE! Will prob dedicate an entire post to her at some point. This is fabulous as a lip balm & as a non-comedogenic occlusive (a seal to lock all ur products in). I started slugging (ew but like, 😍) ie applying a layer of this on top of my night routine, & will even pop this onto any tricky dry spots after my moisturizer on dry, colder days. Repairing my skin was so not an overnight process- it’s taken me over a year to get my skin to a healthy, balanced state. Patience is so so key 💧 I promise you can do it! This was a journey that really taught me to LISTEN to & really RESPECT my skin. I learned to care for myself in such a healthier way. My skin still isn’t clear of acne, but I’ve seen a big improvement in my complexion in general since incorporating these products/practices. If you have tips/q’s pls comment!! Thanks for coming to my ted talk love u
The Ordinary Review
Overall, I love the ordinary. They are a brand that is affordable and has no bs in their products! Most companies add so many different products that contradict each other and then the product alone just DOES👏NOT👏WORK👏 This brand is the opposite, it only puts in main products. 1.) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA is a very good product for its price point ($6.80). It is not a product you should be using everyday! I use this once a week and that’s enough for me. It is a very harsh product but it definitely does the job! On their site they make sure to say that you should do a patch test first and slowly start to ease into using it, aka DO NOT just slap a bunch of it on your face the minute you buy it! 2.) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane is another really great product for its price point ($7.90). Personally, it is not one of my favorites by them. It is a very nice oil for the face but it seemed to make my face very very oily (and i have normal to dry skin). Their site does say “Mimics the skin’s natural oils”. This product is not only for the face, it is can also be used for your hair! 3.) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is my holy grail. It tighten the look of my pores, hydrated my skin, and overall just made my skin look and feel so much better. I use it three times a week, right after cleansing my face. WOULD 100% RECOMMENED!!!

Face Serums for Acne
For me this is the holy grails, Super Glow from glossier is one of the best Vit C serums I have, non sticky, super hydrated and love the after glow About the ordinary, the best price in serum, the Hyaluronic acid is a basic for hydration and the Niacinamide for acne, like scars, hyperpigmentation The key to this is consistency and wearing spf and staying away from the sun, because if you’re under this serums your skin might be a little sensible If you have any questions let me know ✨ Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
The Ordinary-Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
It’s been over a month since I started using The ordinary’s niacinamide and zinc serum. I had a lot of closed comedomes, very textured and dull skin. Safe to say, My skin is much brighter, hydrated and glowy! I have a very sensitive skin so I only use it at night every other day. And if I chemical exfoliate, I give myself a couple days off from niacinamide to avoid any more acids to my face. Thats just how my sensitive my face is. Definitely will keep using this serum. Never felt more confident than I do now! Love this product.

The Ordinary is the BOMB!
I am sure everyone has already heard of The Ordinary right? At first, I would watch YouTube videos about skincare online and see this brand name being thrown around. Another skincare guru YouTuber uses The Ordinary and basically promotes it to the T, calling it “the holy grail of affordable skincare.” So what exactly is The Ordinary and does it actually work? The Ordinary is a subsidiary of Deciem who also sells high-quality and high-end skincare products. Products are made in Canada and are certified cruelty-free, which means they do not test on animals and does not sell in China. Note to cruelty-free/vegan consumers: please check that any brand you buy has the verified Bunny/Does Not Test on Animals label. Also, make sure the company doesn’t sell their products in China. China has a mandatory law that makes it required to test all products on animals before selling there. Be aware. At the beginning, I was skeptic to try TO’s products simply due to the fact the prices were so low. Majority of brands price their products mark their products up to 200% due to their name and extensive list of ingredients they use. A lot of cruelty-free skincare I’ve looked up will cost minimum $20 for a small bottle or tube. I’m a student who only works part-time, so I’m not willing to spend $50 on a small item that might not even work well on my sensitive skin. Current issues: hyperpigmentation, dry skin, contact dermatitis (sensitive skin), uneven texture, redness, occasional oiliness, loss of elasticity in the eye area, fine lines, clogged pores and light acne. I looked up TO’s prices and I was like “wow!” One ampoule can cost as low as $4-5 CAD. I was amazed, so I decided to buy two things. I bought The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + 5% Zinc serum and Pycnogenol 5%. The niacinamide zinc serum is water-based and a clear colour. It doesn’t really have much of a scent (if any). It’s not as oily as I expected it to be. This is used for dark spots, acne scars and pores. It can also help manage light acne as well. This isn’t a product meant to cure worse acne. I massage this into my skin this after cleansing and toning in the morning. Pycnogenol serum is pure antioxidant with a brownish red colour, in an amber bottle. It smells slightly like acetic acid (white vinegar), but the smell is not obnoxious. It does have a slight oily feel, but so far it doesn’t feel gross. I put it after the niacinamide. Put this after water-based serums and before any heavy oils or creams. I add moisturizer/sunscreen after this serum. The results are amazing. The niacinamide serum has made my skin less oily! I also have more moisture and my redness is going down. Pycnogenol has helped my skin feel softer as well. They don’t really help my fine lines, at least not yet. Same with my freckles and scars. I think I didn’t use them long enough. I also purged using them at first. I recommend these products to you all seriously! Don’t knock it till you rock it. :)
The Ordinary-Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
Why you need Niacinamide
Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help visibly - *minimize enlarged pores *tighten lax pores *improve uneven skin tone *soften fine lines and wrinkles *diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened surface I don’t think there is one person out there needing help in at least one of these areas!! Niacinamide + Zinc @ $6.00 This water-based serum is has a light gel texture that absorbs quickly and layers perfectly – loads of people rate it as a primer because it instantly makes skin super smooth. Ideal for oily skin, apply it twice daily and you’ll soon notice you skin balancing out. Plus, it has the added bonus of zinc, which helps with healing blemishes. Zinc aids in healing the skin and prevents acne by regulating the activity of the oil glands. Zinc promotes a healthy immune system and the healing of tissues. It is also an antioxidant which helps to fight and prevent the formation of free radicals. Niacinamide can aid in reducing inflammation, which can help with acne, eczema and other inflammatory skin issues. It also helps regulate our natural skin oil production. And the benefits just keep coming...Niacinamide can help slow down the production of Melanin and lighten existing dark patches of skin. Additionally, Niacinamide has been shown to boost collagen, improve skin hydration levels, and even strengthen the skin to protect against environmental pollutants. When working with Niacinamide you want to use it early on in your skincare routine. Always remember- “thinnest to thickest.” Niacinamide is a serum and think of serums as extra treatments that address individual skin concerns outside of regular cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. So Niacinamide should be after toning but before moisturizing. Like most skincare products you are not going to see immediate results. Visible results can take up to 8 weeks, although you may notice a change in your skins texture. I like to use a product for 2-3 months before deciding to keep on with it or move onto something else. For me, Niacinamide will always be apart of my skincare routine. I’ve noticed positive changes in my pores, reduced acne and overall I feel it pairs well with the other products I use, boosting their effectiveness. I especially like to add mine after Cleansing, toning and then applying it after my Hyaluronic Acid. Then I follow up with my other products. There has been debate whether or not Niacinamide is safe to use with Vitamin C, but more and more information is coming to light that it is indeed safe and the two actually pair well together. It was said that Niacinamide cancelled out the effectiveness of Vitamin C, but research now indicates that unless you have overally sensitive skin, the two can be used together. Just be sure to test patch an area of your skin if you are prone to sensitivity. (Some of my facts and info were taken from: www.healthline.com)
The Ordinary-Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%
-I recently got this oil for my face, and notice that I was clogging my pores, but decided to use it on my lips. It works wonders on my lips. -Keeping my lips hydrated through out the day. -I kid you not this is the best product for my lips, not my skin. If this works for your skin that’s great. I also apply this on my eyebrows as well, I notice that my brows looks a lot more fuller. The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane
