Brush Cleaning Day 🧼

Happy Sunday, Cherie friends 💗 Sundays are for brush cleanings. I use warm water, a brush scrub mat, and ecoTOOLS - Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo
to get them all nice and clean. I then put them all in this lovely little drying rack upside down so water doesn’t get into the ferrules and ruin the hairs. How do you keep your precious brushes clean? Don’t forget to stay hydrated and check your WiFi 😘

New silicone cleaning mat
In April, I did a l post about ecoTOOLS - Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo and a silicone hand mat. It wasn’t bad, but the surface wasn’t big enough for me and the number of brushes I have. I finally realized that I needed something that could rest in my sink and was big enough for me to wash multiple brushes at once. So I went on Amazon on Prime Day and saw the #Ranphykx - Silicon Makeup Brush Cleaning Mat[products]#[FourStars] in green (teal) that has 2,536 reviews and sits at a pretty 4.5 out of 5 rating for only $4.98. It also comes in pink and purple for $6.98. I like that it has suction cups on the back to keep it in the sink. This is a great dupe for the SIGMA - Spa Express Brush Cleaning Mat, which is about $27. NOTE: I am constantly looking for things to make my brush hygiene better and what I have found is washing my brushes more frequently and not waiting for them to pile up.

ecoTOOLS Brush Cleaning Shampoo — how’d it do?
So it was brush cleaning time tonight and when I was at the store earlier I spotted this ecoTOOLS Brush Cleaning Shampoo. I’ve been a devotee of the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser for absolutely forever and haven’t tried a new liquid cleanser in ages so decided to grab it and see how well it works. ❤️ THE PROS ❤️ + Lathers up nicely, unlike a solid cleanser that you’ve got an immediate lather rather than needing to work it up as the solid bar softens + It did a pretty decent job of cleansing my brushes, the majority of the makeup came out without too much effort + Only cost AU$12.99 which is half the cost of the BB Solid Cleanser (AU$25) 💙 THE CONS 💙 + Not as effective as the BB Solid Cleanser, I think their claims that it removes 90% is accurate as it didn’t leave them as clean as they’d usually be + Struggled a bit more with oil based products, a couple brushes which I’d used with oil based products I had to triple cleanse with this shampoo ❤️💙❤️💙❤️ My Thoughts: It’s a decent, well priced cleanser which cleans the majority of makeup out of brushes and sponges while being simpler to use than a solid cleanser so I’d say it’s a success. ecoTOOLS - Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo

SEPHORA COLLECTION - PRO Featherweight Powder Brush #91 I got this powder brush when Sephora was on sale. (touch it several times when I pass by Sephora, it’s so fluffy! Like a bunny tail) It’s good, but it reminds me that you don’t need such an expensive brush to apply loose powder, it may make no difference. I mean, if you are using a high end loose powder, it should work good with any brush, and if you are using a drugstore loose powder, You can buy any cost-effective brush. I have oily skin which means that I must use a large powder for my daily makeup. And I love how huge and fluffy this brush is!  It’s so incredibly soft, legitimately feels like clouds brushing on my skin. (although its material is Synthetic Fibre) And it’s easy to take the powder. It's definitely worth buying. It’s excellent for taking powder or loose powder.   If you're in the market for a powder brush look no further. This brush is fluffy on skin so well made and super soft to the touch. It's very large which makes it unique to my collection and perfect for quick powder application. I wouldn't recommend this for blush or bronzer as it's too large for targeted placement - the # 90 brush is a smaller version of this and would be much more practical for bronzer or blush. I purchased this brush over 2 months ago and after many uses and washes it's still in perfect condition. It's very similar to the La Mer powder brush but for a fraction of the price.   Usage * Load the brush with powder then apply to your T-zone in wide circular motions. * Sweep outwards from the center of the face down to the neck.   In addition, the brush comes with a sweeping cover (a container) to prevent it from being covered by dust. I must say the bush has a really long handle and it doesn’t fit in my brush holder. However, I love the long handle which is making it easy to hold and use. And very fluffy and soft on my skin, it doesn't hurt your face at all! You only need hold just the right amount of products. I love the long handle which is making it easy to hold and use.   Even if you don’t buy it, pls just go to Sephora to touch it! Tender and soft as feather. And the long handle is convenient for use. Hope Sephora isn't discontinuing it because it's an amazing brush. I would recommend it to all.

Comparing Sponge and Brush cleansers! ✨
Comparing Sponge and Brush cleansers! ✨
SEPHORA COLLECTION - Detox: Deep-Cleaning Brush Shampoo I’ve had this bottle for a while and it definitely lasts but I don’t feel like it works as well and I find myself settling with “it’s clean enough” more than I’d like That’s why I even splurged on the refresh spray but even when using both products I have makeup on my brushes and sponges beautyblender - Blendercleanser Solid I got a mini lavender one with my points and FELL IN LOVE after one use It took if not all of my make up off my brushes and sponges i would say it took off 90% 👌🏽👌🏽👏🏽 Definitely worthy the money I went ahead and bought a few other beauty blender items and stocked up on the lavender solid cleanser I saw they have a non scented and feel like I would have gotten that if I hadn’t had the lavender sample already But the main reason I got lavender was because the scent is so light and I’m a non fragrance kind of girl but this is a clean brand so I’m trusting them

My cannot live without make up tools 💛
My cannot live without make up tools 💛
Before I start, yes I 100% keep my brushes in a pikachu cup. If you’re a Pokémon nerd as well sound off in the comments and tell me your favorite Pokémon 🖤 I wanted to show you guys the make up brushes I used on the daily. Yes, they are dirty because I do use them daily. On days where I have to get up at 4:30 am for work these are the brushes I grab for my bare minimum make up. First, I use the REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Finish Sponge for my foundation and concealer. This is waaayyy better than any beauty blender. It’s only $5.99, extremely soft, blends in my make up beautifully, and Ulta has them on sale all the time. Next, I use a fluffy crease brush to apply my under eye powder. I know this sounds weird but I picked up this has for TikTok and it’s changed my game. I pick up a little bit of my powder on a little fluffy brush and brush the powder on from the outer corner to the inner corner to set my concealer. It’s helped a lot with minimizing creases. Mine is from the purple Morphe holiday set last year. I love Morphe brushes and I do think they work very well for the price. Then, I take an even fluffier crease brush and I take my bronzer and fluff a little bit of that into the crease. This brush is a SL Miss Glam brush I got years ago in an Ipsy bag. A fluffy brush really helps diffuse the product naturally into the crease and gives you a little bit of definition. Then, I take my LUXIE - 516 Duo Fibre Powder Brush Rose Gold for my bronzer. I also got this in an old Ipsy bag years ago. The way the bristles are fluffed out gives a really natural, diffused bronzer look. I’ve been highly impressed with Luxie brushes over the years. I’ve had this for probably over 5 years and it’s never shed or lost shape when I washed it. It’s probably one of the best quality brushes I own. Then, I set my face with powder using the it Cosmetics - Your Contour Must-Haves Brush Set . Just like Luxie, IT Cosmetics has amazing quality brushes. The softness of them cannot be surpassed. I like the flat edge of this brush as it makes it very easy to press powder into the skin to set my face. Then, if I’m feeling blush that day I use my #Glamour Dolls - Angle Blush Brush[products]#[FiveStars] . Again, this came from an Ipsy bag years ago and it’s held up so well! It’s very soft and the angle of the brush makes it perfect for diffusing blush on the cheeks. I have A LOT more brushes than this but on those 4:30 am days these are the ones I grab for. Even on the normal shift days I grab for these. I highly recommend any of them for daily make up use. #CheriePartner

The Ultimate Brush Sets that Everyone Needs
The Ultimate Brush Sets that Everyone Needs
If you apply makeup then you must own some brushes or you may wonder which brushes to get. The brush set that I am excited to be talking about in this article solves your problem by supplying you with a variety of brushes that can help you achieve basic makeup needs. I used to apply everything with a finger as much as possible, but ever since I started using brushes, I have realised that there is no replacement. The difference between application with finger and brush too big to ignore. The finish was much more even and smoother so I highly urge anyone that is using their fingers to apply makeup to give brushes a try. Lavish Beauty Basics Brush Set: I was attracted by its packaging at first. The gold flakes design makes everything feel more luxurious and the brush variety and price ($28) seems just right for me. At the time, I was looking for a set to start with. Other brush sets were either too basic, too expensive or too complicated, which makes me question whether I actually need all those or what are each brush for. In this particular set, there are 4 brushes including a foundation brush, powder brush, eyeshadow brush and lip brush. I actually use the foundation brush as a highlighter brush because of its precise and flat tip. All the brushes have soft, synthetic bristles.  I mostly use the powder brush as a blush brush because I find the brush size a little bit too small to cover my entire face. It creates a flawless finish with an all over application of blush. It’s soft synthetic bristles pick up the ideal amount of loose powder and create an airbrushed complexion. The eyeshadow brush has a rounded and tapered shape bristles that easily pick up just the right amount of pigment for all over eyeshadow application. My favourite brush out of the whole set. Lastly, I use the lip brush as an eyeliner brush. Although it states that it’s squared shaped bristles allow for precise and controlled lip colour application along the lip line, I find it more useful to use it as an eyeliner brush because of its shape. I absolutely love this brush set, and have been using every single brush each time I do makeup. It is definable worth it and perfect for beginners looking for some place to begin. A set does the search for you so that there is no need to hunt for individual brushes.

This brush soap is not only incredibly effective but it’s created by a self made small business woman! It’s so important to support our small and local businesses and when the products are THIS BOMB it just makes sense. This is the jumbo size and I can honestly say I see this lasting me FOREVER! I wash my brushes 3x a week and I have a LOT of brushes. I wear makeup all the time, it’s my passion and my happy place, this soap is so gentle on my brushes and so aggressive in taking all the makeup off! Truly blown away by this product and I will never buy anywhere brush soap again!Bubble Babez - Jumbo Brush Me Off Soap

Hit or Miss? Will I Buy this Eyeliner Brush Again?
Hit or Miss? Will I Buy this Eyeliner Brush Again?
Lining the eyes is probably the trickiest step of the makeup routine. It can really work miracles with the eyes, but if you mess this step up, it’s likely that you’ll have to do everything again from the beginning. Therefore it’s important to find the right eyeliner tools for yourself.   I was really excited when I received the Real Techniques 311 Fine Liner Brush in the Enhanced Eye Set, because, hey, who hasn’t heard a few nice things about this brand on the internet? I tried a few of their products myself and couldn’t say they weren’t good value for money. The Fine Liner Brush costs about $6, which is quite affordable compared with other brushes you can find on the market that have a similar reputation.     The synthetic, hand-cut bristles are super soft, which I like because they don’t irritate my sensitive eyelids at all. The brush is perfectly sized for working on the eye, and the pink, aluminium handle is just the right weight when held in hand to provide the leverage and control I need. It’s marketed as the ultimate tool for precision application of liquid or cream eyeliner, and I do find it work well with my ColourPop cream eye shadow too.   However, a few issues appeared after I used the brush a couple of times. Although I must admit it’s durable, easy to clean and don’t shed, I noticed a few stray bristles after several wash. I also wish the brush was sturdier so that it wouldn’t bend easily when in use. After all, I guess I’m more of a pencil eyeliner kind of girl.   Bottom line: the brush is good quality overall but requires quite a bit techniques to make the most use of it. I probably won’t repurchase it, but why not give it a try if you are a gel/cream eyeliner fan?
