September Ipsy Haul 🦋
Hey friends! Just showing off my ipsy products that I just received in the mail. I’m super happy with them all! I used to subscribe to ipsy years ago and they were just *ok*. I got back into them last month and have really been impressed with the improvements they’ve made. Yes, the prices are a couple dollars higher now, but it seems the selection process and quality of products has greatly increased, so I’m not mad at it. They’ve also added the “Plus” and “Ultimate” subscription options, so I signed up for the regular bag and the Plus for $37/mo. This is my first time getting the Plus bag and I am soooo happy with the products I got! I might sell a few of them on my Poshmark store, but otherwise I’ll be keeping the vast majority of them. In the past, I found myself selling everything most months, so it’s refreshing to receive a good amount of exciting products. Thanks for stopping by! Remember to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘 I’ll try to tag as many of these products as I can: it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+

NEW HAULS - Which to Review First?!
So excited! To be receiving these two hauls that I ordered at different times BACK TO BACK is almost overwhelming, but I’m up for the dopamine challenge lol. One is from Sephora and the other from Socialite Beauty, an online Canadian retailer that sells both Canadian and American clean beauty 🙌🏽 I have been seeking the perfect gold eye shadow so that’s how I ended up with 3 palettes... And you know with online shopping, to qualify for “free shipping” you almost always have to add an extra item or two so here I am with an extra brown lipstick and an armpit soap bar. And looks like I’ll finally be trying Amika thanks to Sephora’s generous sample. Some fun facts: ⭐️ This is my first time trying Pat McGrath, so now I get to see what all the rave is about! ⭐️ This is like my 5th Aetherbeauty product because that’s how good they are! So what product should I review first?! 🥵
8 hours of wear
First impression: very thick but very blendable! This is a FULL COVERAGE foundation, but when applied with a beauty blender, you can blend it out enough to be skin like. Great for all day wear, I’m a little shiny but nothing that can’t be fixed! No cracking or settling! I may not use this every single day, just because it’s so full coverage... but perfect for days I just need a little more :)
Not so Confident in This Glow
Recently tried out Realher’s Confidence in My Glow Highlighter. This is a powder highlighter. I was not impressed. I think this could be an okay product for people with zero wrinkles, but this powder really settled into my fine lines and made them super noticeable. I also found it really difficult to dial in the amount of highlighter I wanted with this product. I either had like zero showing up on my face, or it was an OVERWHELMING amount. It wasn’t really buildable in anyway. I was hoping this would live up to its name and give me some confidence, but it did the opposite! Ah, well, they can’t all be winners! My Skin Has NEVER Felt Softer (Amazing Product)
HOLY CRAP. Ok...so you know when your skin is kind of rough and wish there was a magic quick fix? Well I just found one. Kinda. Basically, my skin was dry and rough and I use the STARSKIN Foaming Peeling Perfection Puff, and my skin immediately felt the softest it has ever felt. I’m obsessed. My skin looked/looks so smooth. The (slight) downside is that it is a little messy, and also I don’t really see how it is reusable like it says on the package. But those are really minor drawbacks for AMAZING, immediate results. Lip Obsessed 👄
Good evening 🌙 Here are some of the lippies that I am currently rotating through. I’m clearly a fan of nude and clear glosses (pun sorta intended). I also tried to make them be in the shape of a heart, but it turned into a weird alien...head...thing 👽 🤷♀️ 😂 Hope you guys had a good week. Happy Friday! ✨ Stay hydrated and check your WiFi 😘
Clean Beauty = Clean soft lips
This past month I was lucky to get the Ipsy glambag plus. In my glam bag I received the Yensa Super 8 lip oil. Since I’ve received this lip oil I have used it every night before bed. And truth is I am already seeing a difference. It’s not overly oily where it feels like a slippery when it’s first applied. It smells delicious. Best is there are no harsh chemicals or anything that is harmful. Definitely will keep using.

My Current 10 min makeup routine
So truth be told I can do this in as little as 6 min, but if something goes sideways or I add something else it ends up being more like 10, but never over. What my goal is with this look is to look alive. I have a 3 month old, so there are night feedings and some days start at 5am. I also have a toddler, so I kind of need all the help I can get. I should also mention my skin is dry. This post will be my routine, not reviews, they have been done or will be. it Cosmetics - it Cosmetics CC+ Cream SPF 50+ So I start with this. It has my spf and has a primer built in. That said I prefer a light application, so I use a knock off beauty blender BECCA - Under Eye Brightening CorrectorI explained my current sleep situation, so I need a little brightening in my life. I use my finger to apply and blend NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealeri cab get some redness, so this is more of my one size fits all concealer. I also use my finger to apply and blend I use the Physicians formula talc-free blush. I use a fluffy blush brush Too Faced - Peach Perfect Setting Powder I find all that liquid product needs a powder to be set, I just need to be careful with dry skin, I use a big fluffy brush L'ORÉAL - Brow Stylist Shape and Fill Pencil, I have pretty decent natural brows (my dad wouldn't let me tweeze in the 90's). So this is just to get the shape right. L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Primermascara and I have a love/hate relationship, so I need a little extra work. I use my shu um L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Carbon Black Waterproof MascaraLove/hate the relationship may be, but I need it to wake me umera curler

Never underestimate the power of a good setting powder and this ctilburymakeup Airbrush Flawless Finish powder really is the best I’ve ever used. Think of this as an eraser for your pores. Once applied this powder blurs imperfections, keeps makeup in place, and adds a tiny bit more coverage. The slight luminousity to the formula is the icing on the cake.

big EmRata inspired lips tutorial
Emily Ratajkowski naturally has big lips, but I’ve noticed her makeup plays it up a LOT. I started taking notes from her technique, and was surprised at how good they were! So here’s how to make your lips look way bigger with makeup💋 ⭐️ STEP 1: EXFOLIATE This won’t make your lips look bigger, but it’s necessary to create a smooth canvas. Lip gloss and highlighter, which both emphasis lips, also highlight skin texture. So you don’t want it to highlight dead skin! I used a simple sugar scrub- Anything with sugar will do, though. Just use a gentler hand than I did because I irritated mine a little. ⭐️ STEP 2: LINE YOUR LIPS & BLOT You can use any color, but try to avoid colors that are way darker than your natural skin tone. Dark colors contour features, making them look smaller. Light colors make them more noticeable- So just apply the same thinking to your lips. I used the #Makeup Revolution - Retro Lux Kits Metallic[products]#[FiveStars] lip liner in Dynasty. Then, and this is important- I blotted it with my finger. Lines also make things look smaller, so blur them juuuust a little bit to make it seamless. ⭐️ STEP 3: APPLY LIP COLOR & BLOT Avoid products that dry your lips and emphasis lines- like liquid lipstick. I used the NYX - Soft Matte Metallic Lip Cream in London. I HIGHLY recommend it because it’s matte, but creamy and comfortable at the same time. I have bought like 6 different shades of it. And blot the color into your lips too! You can apply it directly for full power, but blotting can help stop from putting too much on. And trust me, we’re putting other things on. ⭐️ STEP 4: GLOSS I used the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Vintage. Pick any color you like, as long as it’s not patchy and is good quality ! Apply, and feel free to blot if you want to, too. ✨⭐️✨STEP 5: APPLY CREAM HIGHLIGHTER The MOST important step! Apply highlighter on your cupid’s bow, and down the center of your lips. You can even blot it into the lip liner like I did. Unlike the lip gloss, highlighter tends to be a color that naturally blends into your skin like gold or pink. So when you apply it to your lips, it almost looks like it’s just naturally healthy and full! Plus, the Cupid’s bow adds a LOT of dimension to make for well defined lips. I used the NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow Hey, Honey. I definitely recommend using a cream highlighter like this one instead of powder just because it looks glossier. ⭐️ STEP 6: CLEAR BALM (OPTIONAL) I wanted to add a final touch of clear gloss for emphasis. So I applied the Rosebud Perfume Co. - Menthol And Eucalyptus Lip Balm all over it as if it was a setting spray. Use a light, tapping finger so you don’t blend it all together. And done! EmRata (ish lol) lips!

really a more natural, no makeup look. Just adding some color to my cheeks and some glow 😌 - erborian BB Crème: it stays put all day without making my skin greasy. The shade is Dore which is a little dark for me, probably more of my skin’s summer shade, but when I use the makeupdrop hybrid to blend it works just fine 😁 the lighter shade looked too light for me so I think I’m somewhere in between the two. - erborian Touchpen: this is the only concealer I own believe it or not and I just got my hands on it 😭 but I’m actually loving it. It does the job perfectly. I’ll use this under my eyes and on any acne scars. - incredible Bounce Blush: I’ve spoken about this a few times but I absolutely adore the texture. I only need a tiny bit on my fingers that I pat on and then blend in with my makeupdrop hybrid. I feel like the color is definitely buildable but I usually prefer something more subtle. - patmcgrathreal Skin Fetish Highlight & Balm Duo: before I thought I’d really only use the balm side, but I’ve found myself using the highlighter side more now. This is also very buildable! I just do a swipe along my cheekbone upwards towards my eyebrows (in a kind of C shape) and then on my nose and chin. - ctilburymakeup Filmstar Bronze & Glow: I mainly use the bronzer, but I really enjoy using both as an eyeshadow too 🤫 Highlight on the lids and bronzer in the crease. The bronzer could be a little darker for my skin, I need quite a bit for it to show on me. But as I said, I like subtlety lol.
Are Hourglass's Highlighters Actually Good?
Hourglass is kinda famous for its highlighters. So I bought one palette one small highlighter. Just want to see if they are actuall beautiful. And here we go! HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Palettecontains three shades of the brand's Ambient Lighting Powders. I've heard that these three shades can be used as a setting powder and a highlighter for contouring, but buying this palette couldn't be more wrong. However, I could only make use of the middle shade, Incandescent Light. The matte shade on the left is Dim Light and can supposedly be used as a setting powder but the shade is just too dark. The Radiant Light shade is a shimmery golden beige powder which is not suitable for contouring or highlighting. I suggest buying this three-shade palette only if you have a darker skin tone. I highly recommend the Incandescent Light powder of the three-shade palette and also the HOURGLASS - Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder. The Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder is a whiter shade with lots of fine shimmers and it looks really beautiful and exquisite on the skin. It doesn't emphasize skin blemishes either. In short, buy them in single shades instead of the three-shade palette!

Japanese Finish Powder
CANMAKE - Marshmallow Finish Powder - [MB]Matte Beige Ochre This finish powder was highly recommended a Japanese holy grail product. I was SO excited to try it. It’s supposed to create a smooth and soft finish. I did like the consistency of the powder it was very smooth and soft. It didn’t really feel like a finishing powder though. It has a lot of color that comes off a bit orange. This felt more like a powder foundation than a finishing powder. I wouldn’t repurchase this (I probably won’t even finish it) because this product was a bit overwhelming.
