Hiya! This is my first post, but I've been on the app for a while. Im new to the whole caring about my skin and body thing, so Im no wizard when it comes to skin care or makeup like most of the people on this app lol. Like seriously Im envious. But anyway, I posted some things I use on the photo and tips or tricks greatly appreciated. Some of the products I use I know arent the best for me, but now I know better like the apricot scrub. I mean I think its okay, but its virtually no existant on here so others opions are apreciated. Ps: Sorry for the crudy pic, but it was the only recent one I had and I was outside. easy body physical exfoliation
**not my photo! While I love a good chemical exfoliant for my face, I really find that it’s not really enough for the skin on my body. I use a glycolic acid body wash almost every day and I still end up with sticky skin even after I moisturize. I’ve tried body scrubs and while they can be effective, I feel like I waste a lot of product because it dissolves so easily. I also find that my chest, especially between my boobs, has these little bumps and it gets somewhat oily . I was listening to the “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” podcast (ANYBODY A “SCRUBS” FAN???!!!), and they mentioned washing their bodies with washcloths. So I decided to try it! I just took an old face washcloth that is a little more on the rough side rather than the soft and I lathered it up with my Dove - Beauty Bar Soap and began scrubbing all over my body. While I’m sure it doesn’t match the intensity of a Korean scrub, I imagine it’s a step toward that amazing exfoliation treatment. As soon as I stepped out of the shower, I could feel the smoothness of my skin and my body lotion went on very smoothly with minimal stickiness. I love how easy it is to use a washcloth and although all the bumps and the sweaty feeling on my chest isn’t completely gone, I love how smooth it immediately makes my skin feel. I have a ton of washcloths and I always use a new washcloth each time I exfoliate, and I always follow up with my Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion to seal in the moisture. I’ve been wanting to try a dry brush if anyone has recommendations! What other ways do you use to exfoliate your body?
How To Get The Softest Legs On Earth
One thing I absolutely hate on myself is body hair. I always have, I like silky smooth skin. I do everything I can to remove the hair & achieve the smoothness I desire. Of course with the way I usually remove it, shaving, there comes some consequences, like razor burn, red bumps, cuts, ya know. So I have search near & far for products to prevent that & will give me smooth legs in particular because that’s the part of my body I shave the most! So I have come up with a whole routine to keep my legs hairless & smooth! & I am now ready to share that routine with all of you! Here goes nothing. 1. I will wash my body with either a body wash or just Dove bar soap. 🧼 2. Shave with a NEW disposable razor 🪒 Lately I’ve been using Soliel brand. 3. Wash legs & the rest of my body with Dove Exfoliating Body Polish. I love this stuff, it makes my skin soooo soft & it smells amazing! My favorite scent is the Pomegranate Seeds & Shea Butter. 4. Turn off the water in the shower & while your body is still wet, rub OGX Lavender Essential Oil Wet Skin Lotion. This stuff is literal MAGIC! Not only does it somehow prevent those pesky red dots & bumps from appearing where I just shaved but it makes my skin extremely soft & smell amazing!! 5. Step out of the shower, place a bathrobe, towel dry hair & do hair routine. By the time I’m done with that, the Wet Skin Lotion will have fully absorbed. Now I go over my whole body with regular lotion. My two favorites right now are Jergens Body Butter Lavender & Love, Beauty, & Planet Argan Oil & Lavender. (Yes, I’m currently on a Lavender kick if you haven’t noticed lol I switch back & forth between that & Rose scents) & I’m done! My skin is clean, silky smooth, & there isn’t a blemish (from shaving) in sight! Try it out & you’ll never shave the same again! Thanks for reading!
Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel
Hi Gems! We are now in the full swing of October so it’s time to review what I emptied in September! DevaCurl - One Condition Decadence for Super Curly Hair This conditioner was good for my damaged curls! It provided enough hydration, but I didn’t love how it felt going into my hair. I loved the subtle scent of and the bright packaging! Although this conditioner is great, it is pricy especially when I use so much of it! I have since moved on to trying another curly girl conditioner that I will review soon! JERGENS - Natural Glow Instant Sun Mousse This has been my go to drugstore self tanner for a while now! I never have any issues with it streaking when combined with my tanning mitt and it fades well. The smell is pretty bad and it can be very sticky, so I only leave it on for around 5-6 hours and use baby powder to combat stickiness! The color is great and not too orange! ogx - Renewing Argan Oil Of Morocco Weightless Healing Dry Oil I love this hair oil! It smells amazing AND tackles my frizzy curls like a champ! It is truly weightless and never leaves my hair feeling oily or weighed down! If you have trouble with frizz or just want your hair to look healthy this is definitely for you! I will be repurchasing! Fruit of the Earth - Aloe Vera 100% Gel Every girl needs a trust worthy aloe vera gel in her beauty line up and this is a fantastic one! This gel doesn’t have any added color which is why I like it! I use this on my face and my hair! For my face, it helps to hydrate and heal imperfections. I use it in my hair to help hydrate and lock my curl pattern making it a staple in my hair care routine! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel I have been using this cleanser for months and it has never failed me! It foams wonderfully and has a minimal fragrance! It is reasonably priced and never makes my skin feel striped, which is always a concern with cleansing. The Hydro Boost line is one of my favorites but I am a huge fan of trying new things though, so I am testing out a different cleanser this month! DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum I got this in a trial size to test it out because they’re products are so expensive! The packaging is adorable, but it’s what’s inside that counts! I honestly didn’t see a huge difference in my complexion and overall it didn’t wow me. LOVE beauty AND planet - Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Radical Refresher Body Wash This body wash smells HEAVENLY and the packaging is adorable! However, it doesn’t leave me feeling as hydrated as I should or as other washes have! TRADER JOE'S - Nourish Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum This serum was great and inexpensive! It always leaves my face feeling super hydrated and supple! It lasted me a long time which made my really happy!

My favorite..is on sale 💙 10 or less time!!
I live for my hydro boost gel exfoliator. When I feel like treating myself, and I'm not making my "at home" exfoliator. It's one product I have faith in & trust on my sensitive skin. After suffering from acne for most of my life, I dont trust many products. I just got it in the mail, after needing more. Now I see it's on sale, almost everywhere lol Target 7.99 Mini 3.99 from neutrogena directly They have a moisturizer version as well which I also love! Day and Night facial products
So as I turned 41 this summer, I thought it was about time to pamper my skin. I used to be into skincare products, I guess working in a mall and being able to browse and test products will do that. But then I had my son and I didn’t even think about my skin until I started to notice how dry my skin was looking, let alone the wrinkles which seemed to creep up on me before I knew it. The first product I bought was CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser and I’ve used it most faithfully since March every evening. I wanted to start with something simple and this fits the bill. I’d tried Cetaphil products before with no luck so I thought I’d try CeraVe which were specifically for dry skin. Then I needed something for my Occasional acne breakouts. I bought Neutrogena - Pink Grapefruit Activated Cream-to-Foam Facial Cleanser A little goes along way. I don’t find it too drying because I don’t use it everyday. I needed a facial scrub first so I bought OLAY - Pore Perfecting Face Scrub with Vitamin C & Dragon Fruit I’ve used this scrub a handle of times and like it and can’t find anything bad about it. I like the scent. I decided to add a couple of serums to my collection - CeraVe - Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I guess this is ok but I was using this at night and maybe it would be better off used during the day? I will likely incorporate this back into my morning skincare routine and see how it goes, and next serum I added was PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum I use this on my cheeks during the evening when I remember haha. It’s a bit sticky but it’s an added boost of moisture they my skin needs. I was looking for a toner next, I remember the days well when I was a faithful user of Bonne Bells 10-0-6 toner but I didn’t want something with alcohol in it, and so I started to use THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner I love the scent and I don’t find it drying to my skin at all. I work in fast food so I find this feels nice and cooling at the end of the day and helps with the grease factor. I’ve started to use it in the morning before my moisturizer and makeup. Lastly, I will started to use CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream and it it just what my dry skin needs at night! It’s thicker than I thought it would be so a little goes a long way. I am also digging the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser & Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Smoothing Gel Exfoliator 150ml What about anyone else over 40? What’s your skin care routine like? I’m always up for product recommendations and trying new things!
Hello all, well my names Simone I’m 18 and I want to have healthier, smoother looking skin. I have very sensitive skin that is dry around my nose & chin and oily on my forehead. Just recently I noticed I’m getting discoloring on my chin and I’ve had it above my lip for as long as I can remember. I’m pretty active I work and love the outdoors and I live in Arizona so majority of the time it’s hot and sunny. I’ve always struggled with acne and suffer badly with hormonal acne while on my period. Idk if it’s something I’m using that reacts badly to my skin or is it just tough luck? Suggestions?:) I’ll leave the products I use. innisfree - Green Tea Seed Intensive Hydrating Eye CreamSOAP & GLORY - Face Soap And Clarity Facial WashBio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil

Eczema Body Wash 🧼
You might already have found a topical moisturizing trick to soothe your eczema, but what are you using in the shower? How you cleanse eczema-prone skin is an important part of your healing journey. You may already know that hot showers can further irritate the skin, so warm/cold showers are best. It’s also important to keep in mind that our skin absorbs some of what we apply on our skin, especially in a steamy shower/bath 🧖🏽♀️ Back when I had the eczema from head-to-toe, my naturopath suggested this hypoallergenic, pH-balanced, fragrance-free NutriBiotic - Citricidal Skin Cleanser and it’s been my main go-to for two consecutive bottles. It’s gentle, yet does the job of cleaning the grime from the day ☝🏽 without harming the moisture barrier... which is a big concern for us eczema warriors! The 🔑 ingredient is Citricidal (grapefruit seed extract), which is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and protects tissue against damage. Even though I no longer experience eczema to a severe extent anymore, I repurchased this product recently for anytime my partner or I experience some kind of skin inflammation that involves infection (I.e. dermatitis-induced staphylococcus, boils.) I’ll also try this on future breakouts, as I hear it’s helped some with acne.

How I got rid of my Acne - Cleansers
One of the biggest steps to take when combatting acne is how you clean your face. This was a huge thing that I struggled with, I tried a lot of different cleansers, some which were too mild (cetaphil) and some that were too harsh (biore). Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser Bioré - Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser When you have acne, your skin is already sensitive and vulnerable. You need a cleanser which cleanser your skin without being overly stripping. Acne is usually caused by excess oil, which is why cleansing is such an important step. I found that using both a oil cleanser and gel cleanser at night was a game changer. I was getting this small bumps all over my forehead and I wasn’t able to get rid of them until I used an oil cleanser. But, I also needed a gel cleanser to remove all the excess oil from my face, some of which was caused by the oil cleanser itself. My absolute favourite oil cleanser is The Face Shop Rice Water Light Oil Cleanser. As is stated, the oil cleanser is light, which means it’s a thinner co so stench than balms. I preferred this to balms because it was less likely to clog my pores. This product got rid of all the small bumps I had on my forehead. I usually use this on my face for a few minutes, really massaging the product in, and it helps to extract sebaceous filaments, which are essentially oil blocks. THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil My favourite gel cleanser is the Youva Glacial Clay Cleanser. Unfortunately, I do think that this product is only available in Canada, but there are all natural clay cleaner alternatives to it. This cleanser leaves my face feeling soft and clean, but it doesn’t feel overly stripped of oil. This leaves just enough oil, that my skin doesn’t begin overproducing oil to compensate from the lost oils. YOUVA - Fresh Face Glacial Clay Cleanser I highly recommend trying these two cleansers. Or at least trying out an oil cleanser in addition to your daily cleanser! If you liked this post, please head on over to missdewyskin.wordpress.com for more skincare info!!

SHISEIDO - WASO: Quick Gentle Cleanser Size -150 ML $38.00CAD This is a DErmatologist-tested. Non-comedogenic. Paraben-free. Alcohol-free alcohol-free, oil-free, honey-gel cleanser from WASO, Shiseido. The main formula is Honey Extract and royal jelly extract to remove dirt, excess oil and meanwhile nurture skin by delivering amino acitds, vitamins and minerals for moisturizing. The element is quite simple and very friendly to sensitive skins and beauty lovers with thin skin. Contains Trimethylglycine with humectant properties to reduce skin troubles. One thing I really like about this product is that you can use it when your skin is in a bad condition (when i have terrible acnes during that time of the month), I felt my skin is calmed and hydrated during that time.Because it is very gentle, the cleansing power is mild as well. I normally use it in the morning just to remove the excess oil. Personally I do not recommend use it for heavy make-ups since it's too gentle and you may ended up with makeup left overs. It foams up but not ridiculously so. Its not drying on the skin. If you are looking for a soft, gentle cleanser, this is definitely the one you should go with. You would love the smooth, fresh and silky feeling of your face after using it and it leaves skin soft and smooth and smelling good ! SHISEIDO - WASO Fresh Jelly Lotion SIZE 5 oz/ 150 mL $40.00CAD Like the other products in WASO series, this lotion is Dermatologist-tested. Non-comedogenic. Paraben-free. Mineral oil-free. Alcohol-free. Key ingredients contained in the formula are: White Jelly Mushroom;Aqua-in-pool and Glycerin;Trimethylglycine, Trehalose, Erythritol and Lamium Album Extract and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate. These ingredients are mainly help moisturizing the skin to deeper layers while reducing redness. The main function is to help optimize your skin pH balance. A refreshing gel-to-liquid essence that restores and hydrates the skin. I really like it. It moisturise my skin really good without being greasy. The scent is lovely for me. Normally I use after toner and before moisturizer, but if you have a serum that enhances the performance of its following product, use that serum before this. And the packaging is cute. Its fun the way the jelly melts into a liquid as you rub it on your skin. I love how the gel absorbs and dries quickly, which is great because I'm always rushing to work in the morning. Till this point you might have your own thought on this product, It's gentle and moisturizing and calms your skin down. Additionally they got reasonable price and size. Come in small sizes (only 150 ml) good for traveling. On the other side, since the element is simple and gentle, it does not bring much changes or have those immediate effect on your face. In short, this is a great option for those seasons when your skin is very sensitive and you do not want to add extra pressure on it.

I have a confession about these pads..
Okay so I bought the NIP+FAB - NIP+FAB Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing from amazon about a month ago for $12. They are highly praised glycolic acid treatment pads. What is glycolic acid ? It’s an acid that’s apart of the AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) group. It’s the smallest one in this group, so it penetrates the skin much easier. The acid break downs molecules in the skin, so they are removed from the skin to reveal a brighter even complexion. They are a great treatment for comedowns (acne) & blocked pores. These pads do contain witch hazel so if that’s not your thing I would avoid using these on your face. What I use this for... Okay here’s my confession ... I use these pads... on my under butt area & other places on my lower body that is hyper-pigmented. I know it sounds crazy but it WORKS! My under butt area has already evened out about 30% and any small bumps I had in that areas are gone! I follow up with my organic Burt’s bees lotion or if I want extra exfoliation I use my ALPHA SKIN CARE - Revitalizing Body Lotion Remember that not everything works for everyone, but this has worked for me in a matter of a month. (I would post results but I’m sure these Pg13 pictures should be kept to myself)

Winter Skin Routine (SAVED my skin!!)
Like many women, my skin gets pretty dry over the winter. I also wear much more makeup, so not only am I dry, but I’m also breaking out, which is not my favorite combination. However, I’ve figured out how to maintain both issues with one routine. Firstly, I take my makeup off. I always use wipes, or coconut oil if we’re out of wipes, as opposed to a solution that you have to pour onto a cotton pad. I’ve found it to be more effective and also more ecological. I use the Pure’n Gentle Makeup Remover Wipes. Pure'n Gentle - Makeup Removing Wipes 30 wipes come in one pack, and in-store (Walmart) they’re only $1! I like these wipes because they don’t have any parabens or chemicals as opposed to literally any other wipe you can find in the same aisle. I’ve used these for over a year. Unless they discontinue them, I’ll use them ‘til the day I die! After removing my makeup, I’ll rinse the excess off with warm water and then cleanse with either the Original Sulfur Soap 10% Sulfur Acne Washdermaharmony - 10% Sulfur 3% Salicylic Acid Bar Soap or the Nourish Organic Moisturizing Face CleanserNourish - Moisturizing Face Cleanser . I like to use the sulfur soap when I’m breaking out, and I like to use the latter when I’m super dry and flaky. The sulfur soap has absolutely no smell, while the organic has a very light and floral smell. Neither is foamy, but the organic one foams much better; it’s a rich lather. Additionally, I like to cleanse my neck as every now and then I’ll get a small pimple there. I’ve been using both products for about a year as both are very inexpensive and do the job I need them to do. I would recommend these products to anybody dealing with acne and dry skin at the same time! Lastly, I need to moisturize. I don’t like heavy moisturizers, as they can be very sticky and heavy on my skin, causing clogged pores. I use this super light moisturizer that does a fantastic job of hydrating without weighing down my skin. It’s called Tate’s Natural Miracle Conditioner. #Tate’s - Natural Miracle Conditioner[products]#[FiveStars] This is kind of an all-in-one product, but I only use it for my facial skin. It smells very light, and my skin absorbs every single drop of the product like THAT! Right after application, my skin feels like heaven. I may have to reapply a couple of times if my skin is extremely dehydrated and needs some TLC. If you’re looking for a tremendously light moisturizer, I’ve got you!
