Honest Review: La Roche-Posay Moisturizer
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30
This would be great for those with dryer skin.I would recommend this product to people with very sensitive and healing skin, those who need to repair their skin barrier. This brand leans more on the medical side of skin care focusing on repairing damaged or acne prone skin. Would I use this again? Yes, but in the winter when the weather is dryer and my skin gets a little bit more sensitive. I have a full bottle and fall and winter is approaching so I might as well finish it.

Dry, redness prone, sensitive skin
Hi everyone :) Since I can remember I’ve dealt with dry and sensitive skin. My skin is always red to some level. I’ve been to dermatologists in the past and they always said it was something I would grow out of. I’m 27 and while my skin has improved over time, I still have a lot of redness. I was never told that I have rosacea, but I’m pretty that’s what I’m dealing with! Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for products that might help? While my current routine works well for my skin, I’m curious to see if there’s anything else I could incorporate to help with my redness. Thanks in advance!
So I haven’t been on here in a little while because I’ve been trying to take a break on taking photos of my face and looking at skincare social media because it’s really compromised my mental health and I’m a lot less stressed about it when I’m not constantly focused on it if that makes sense :) Anyways WHOLE NEW ROUTINE last time I checked in I had mentioned I switched to differin, I’m not too sure if that helped me, I did purge a lot. But skin has healed so much faster since stopping differin I finally got to visit the derm and she told me to go back on tretinoin 0.025% to use every night, and she also prescribed me with the clindamycin topical solution 1% to use once every morning. She also advised me to go back on birth control. At first I was not fond of that because birth control AKA I.U.D HELL brought this acne upon me in the first place. But she recommended it to get my hormones back in check, but she also stated she wasn’t comfortable prescribing me spirlactone (which is what I was aiming for) without using BC even though I stated to her I am not sexually active currently and I don’t plan to be for a very long time. Anyways, I made an appointment with my obgyn and got on birth control pills, if you are curious to which one it’s called “Drospirenone” I haven’t started them yet because she told me to wait until the first Sunday during my period. But I have been consistently using the tret and the clindamycin every day for only a week and a half so far and I’ve already seen a lot of improvement. I don’t want to get too excited because I this is what happened the first time with tret, it was great the first week or two and then my skin started to purge. I’ve now been through the purging process 3 times. And it’s gonna be torture to go through it again but if it happens then it happens 🙏 Super nervous to start the birth control for the same reason but I can only be positive and hope for the best! My full routine currently is AM VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser clindamycin topical solution 1% (derm prescribed) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 *im switching to a higher spf PM VANICREAM - Gentle Facial Cleanser Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream (the extra dry unscented version) OBAGI - Tretinoin 0.025% Cream(derm prescribed) And sometimes I like to put another thin layer of moisturizer on top once the tret is absorbed to prevent irritation and dryness
For acne-prone and sensitive skin!!!
Dermasence Phytosabal Cream Its main feature is its cabbage palm extract which acts to inhibit the activity of the sebaceous glands. It keeps the skin shine free but not dry, clarifies skin with a tendency towards acne but is not irritating. It has a smooth texture, spreads well, and is absorbed easily. It has a light milky scent and is very soothing. It's suitable for oily, combination-oily, and acne-prone skin. Dermasence Refining Gel The synergistic and enhancement effect of its five-fold plant extracts helps to constrict capillaries. It also helps to soothe burning and redness. I use this blushing gel mostly in summer when my skin becomes sensitive and my face flushes easily, and it's really improved the condition of my skin. It's most suitable for sensitive skin and skin with broken capillaries.
Hemp and Hyaluronic- great combo!
Months ago, while shopping TJMaxx, my daughter spotted this cream. She is all about CBD/Hemp and using natural, environmental safe products and we decided for $12 to give it a shot. She’s got acne prone, sensitive and combination skin. She’s got it all! 🙈 This worked great for her! It helped calm the redness and kept the acne breakouts at bay. It also kept her skin balanced, well hydrated. She used it at night. It has a very mild scent. What is it? A pampering night cream designed to supply rich nourishment and protection to your skin. This Night Cream harnesses the nutritional powers of the Hemp Seed oil to feed your skin when it needs it the most. The cream is also enriched with pure Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which forms a film at the surface of the skin offering an optimal hydration and Emulium® Mellifera, innovative emulsifier which adapts to climate and creates active textures, bringing moisturization and pleasure on application. Made in Israel. We haven’t found it priced as well as it was at TJMaxx and it’s tough to locate online. She’s since changed to a different moisturizer for both day and night PUREFORET - Centella Multi-Lotion But if you happen to be able to shop your local TJMaxx or Marshall’s and spot this it might be worth giving a try. 😉 Much ❤️🍒 #CherieCreator
'Seriously Shine Free'? Think again.
FORMULA 10.0.6 - Seriously Shine Free Mattifying Oil Free Moisturizer When I first bought this moisturizer I had really high hopes that it would work for my skin. This was my first time trying any products from Formula 10.0.6. I have oily and acne prone skin that tends to be very sensitive to introducing new products. The first week or two using this moisturizer daily, my skin looked and felt great. This moisturizer felt lightweight, has a great scent and overall kept my skin feeling very smooth and hydrated. By the third week my skin felt very greasy and heavy almost immediately after applying this moisturizer I did some experiments and tried to use it by itself to test if it was in fact this product making my skin oily. Eventually I grew tired of the heaviness of this moisturizer after suffering days and days of breakouts and unmanageable oiliness. I switched to an Aveeno sensitive skin moisturizer and it's worked great on my skin. I will still try other Formula 10.0.6 products in the future, however this moisturizer will not be one of them..

LA ROCHE-POSAY | Toleriane D.R UV
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 Another moisturizer review! ✨ This is from one of my favorite brands, La Roche-Posay. This is marketed as an everyday moisturizer with added SPF 30. It is marketed as being a repairing and moisturizing base which is suitable for all skin types. This product is perfect for everyday use because of the SPF! I decided to try this in my hunt for a good SPF product to wear on a daily basis. I heard good things about this brand so I was eager to try it out and it did not disappoint! I’ve been using this almost every day for 4 months. This has a medium-thick texture (seen in the second photo) and feels very moisturizing on the skin. Even though it gave myskin extra hydration, it did not make me oily or break me out on my oily skin type. It does have a slight sunscreen smell but it’s not intense. I like this because it did not leave a white-cast on me but keep in mind that I am very pale 😂 I enjoy the added dewy glow this gives my skin before makeup. I think a lot of people would benefit from this! The only downside to this is that I would like to see the SPF at least 50 but that’s me being picky! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a daily SPF product. It is $20 which is a bit pricey for a product that is found in most drugstores but I think it is worth it! This bottle has lasted me so long so I think it is worth the investment. Try this one out and let me know how it goes! ✨

This product is a moisturizer for sensitive skin. It has been allergy tested and has no perfume. The Moisture Surge by Clinique is a thin gel that applies smoothly and dries up with no residue. If you have an oily skin type you may put it on once a day to give your skin that moisture and glow that it needs, if you have combination or dry skin you can put it 2-3 times a day and it’ll give you an amazing beautiful glow. I use this every day once a day as my morning routine, it has helped me calm the appearance of pimples and has helped me regulate my skin from super oily to combination. I love this product since I keep seeing my face change better and better with the use of it. I would recommend this to everyone who needs a moisturizer as it is great for everyone. This product could be a bit expensive but it is completely worth it from how good it is.

Update on sunscreens ☀️☀️☀️
I made the switch. I’ve been using the cerave facial moisturising lotion spf 15 CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 and I’ve found that the applicator is difficult to use and it’s very messy. It doesn’t feel heavy or leave a white tint but for every day use it’s quite a hassle with the applicator so I switched to cetaphil acne prone spf 25 moisturising lotion Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 . I feel better using this one too since it says it’s more for acne prone sensitive skin, even though the cerave claims to be gentle and non-comedogenic. I will use the cerave one if I run out or am in need of one, but I found the cetaphil one has more in it and is cheaper too. Since half the bottle of cerave is for the applicator that doesn’t seem to work. In saying this, they are both really good affordable products Let me know what your opinions are on which moisturising lotion sunscreen you guys prefer! 🤔🤔🤔
