My skincare routine for summer ( All KIEHL'S)

Today I’m doing mini Monday a little different! I used up a ton of products in the month of September, including lots of mini’s while traveling. So today I’m featuring my thoughts on the mini’s I finished. Stay tuned for my full size empties tomorrow! ✨ . . 🤷🏽‍♀️ voir - Sunrise Rituals: Signature Shampoo voir - Sunset Rituals: Signature Conditioner : Nice but I have long hair and it’s really hard to tell my thoughts with a tiny packet! But it did smell amazing. . 👎🏼 ORIGINS - High-Potency Night-a-Mins Mineral-Enriched Oil-Free Renewal Cream : this is a nice thick moisturizer for night time. But I can’t get past the smell. It reminds me of some bad fruity drink I had in college 😂😬 . 👎🏼Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream : this is just way too light weight and not moisturizing enough for my skin type. You might like this if you’re oily. . ❤️ philosophy - Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Shower, Bath & Shave Gel : yess this is the lemon custard and it smells soo good! . 👎🏼 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 : this is SO greasy I can’t stand it. . 🤷🏽‍♀️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream : I don’t get the hype behind this. It’s also too greasy for me. And I’m not supporting DE right now. . 🤷🏽‍♀️ Milk MAKEUP - Kush Lip Balm : I like it! But not extremely long lasting. It did melt and get messy though. Would maybe repurchase on sale. . 🤷🏽‍♀️ NARS - Climax Mascara : nice for volume but it dried out quickly and flaked a lot. . ❤️ CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm : yes really enjoyed this. Would get on sale. Probably will save this little tub to put some balm from my full sizes in for future travel! . ❤️ REDKEN - One United Multi-Benefit Treatment Spray : yes a solid leave in conditioner!

🍒 I have combination skin so my t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. My skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks I also have some freckles (sun spots) across my cheeks and my nose bridge (which bother me!). I also have very sensitive skin so I am alwyas cautious with new products or else my skin will becom super red and peel! 🍒I wanted to try out a new moisturizer since the moisturizer I was using was almost out. So as I was browsing through Cherie, saw a post by @AmazingStellaabout Kiehls products. After reading her review on the Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream I became interested and started doing my research. She did mention that she has oily skin so I wasn’t sure if this product would be good for me. After a few readings about ingredients and product claims I was super interested and... bought the product. This was truly a splurge for me since it was $50🙈 🍒This product is paraben free and includes some amazing ingredients that convinced me to impulse buy it. Hydrating ingredients include propylene glycol, panthenol, glycerin, and of course, calendula flower extract. It also has a really pleasant citrus scent that made me love it at first smell? The scent is super refreshing and light which I love! The citric acid, lemon peel oil, and citrus limon peel extract all contributed to the nice scent and exfoliating aspect of the product. Not to mention, these ingredients are also anti inflammatory and anti oxidants! It also includes as orbit acid which contributes to brightening and anti-aging! The only thing that I didn’t like about this product was the inclusion of dimethicone and sodium chloride since both of these are actually comedogenic. 🍒I absolutely love the texture of this product. Right when I lifted the lid, I was met with a beautiful smooth and bouncy gel like water cream. And if you know me, I’m a sucker for water creams and gel like textures. After applying this, my skin looks so dewy and plump. It glides onto my skin effortlessly and doesn’t leave a tacky feel since my skin absorbs it so fast (probs because I have hella dry skin). 🍒I did read that some people had allergic reactions to this product or that it clogged up their pores. This thankfully didn’t happen to my skin but I 100% recommend you to check out the ingredients for potential known allergens. And if you can get your hand on a sample size for free, do it. It’s pretty pricey for something that might cause a reaction. So make sure to test it on your inner arm if you do get a hold of the sample first. Don’t be like me and impulse buy. #cheriepaetner

I have written about this product before, a while ago but it deserves another round. The texture is just amazing. I took a picture of the texture on slide 3. I have been using it for about 7 months now and it’s truly amazing. It instantly brightness my under eyes! It’s so moisturizing that I even use it on my laugh lines. I have tried A TON of eye creams but nothing compares to this one so far. Sorry I'm catching up on this one, I posted it a few days ago and it disappeared 🙁 so I'm redoing it now 😁 Here's my fave products broken down: Day 11 - SPF: I only have one face sunscreen, sun bum - Original 'Face 50' SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion but I'm looking into getting the Supergoop! - The Jet Set SPF Kitbc it includes an Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 401 oz and a Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract1 oz - pretty good deal and only $28 (Sephora) Day 12 - moisturizer: it's a tie between Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream and Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream for me; I love them both so much and swear by both. Day 13 & 14 - face oil and mask: to be honest, I don't have a favorite of either, since I don't really use face oils/never really looked into them, and most masks cause an allergic reaction or redness of some sort. Every mask I've used has bothered me by making me all red and causing some mild acne, but one hasn't done anything bad, and its the Glossier. - Moisturizing Moon Mask . It's not my favorite product but I give it credit for not causing any rxns, plus 4/5 stars bc it did moisturize pretty well. Day 15 - eye product: I like my Glossier. - Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream and Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado(haven't used the Kiehl's one enough to rate) Day 16 - lip product: I love the L'ORÉAL - Colour Riche Lipcolour and have a bunch of them. I recently got a ARMANI beauty - Lip Maestro Midi Set (it's called mini set, there's a typo I guess) and these Armani lippies stay in place no matter what and are very pigmented too. I have a certain routine I do every Wednesday. Wednesday is the day I exfoliate, clay mask, sheet mask and scrub and deep clean my skin. 1st Step: fresh - Soy Face Cleanser Jumbo #Tadaam - Cleansing Brush[products]#[FiveStars] I cleanse with my soy cleanser using a cleansing brush. This brush is VERY soft but effective. I use the 60 sec rule and gently scrub. 2nd step: Kiehl's - Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque I use this clay mask once a week to give my pores the deep cleaning they need. I leave it one until mask is hard. I rinse off with a warm cloth (gently). 3rd Step: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I use this exfoliating toner once a week because it can be a little strong for my skin. This helps give my skin the extra dose of deep cleaning and removal of dead skin. 4th Step: #Simple - Water Boost Hydrating Sheet Mask[products]#[FiveStars] I sheet mask after all of the stress I put my skin through from the other steps. I try to use a Hydrating sheet mask but if not, I will use a any sheet mask that will replenish my skin. 5th Step: IOPE - Limited Edition Rentinol Expert Essence 0.1% I use a rentinol serum or essence usually this one to help with firmness and wrinkles. 6th & final step: I use a sleeping mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Mask To sooth my skin and lock in moisture. It gives my skin the final dose of hydration. Is it effective? I have eczema/sensitive skin and I've tried a lot routines to help get and keep my skin healthy. This routine really gives my skin what it needs. The next day my skin very hydrated, smooth and glowing. It feels amazing and looks so healthy and clean. For me keeping my face as clean as possible is a must. I was born with a fairly oily skin (not pleasant, but gotta make the best out of what i have😉). And if you have oily skin like me, you're likely to have large pores due to an excess of sebum production. That means, you need to make sure your face is clean (though don’t over do it) coz if the pores (and they’re already larger than average to begin with) get clogged this can make the pores to appear even MORE BIGGER and noticeable. BIG YIKES. This is why i put Clay Mask in my skincare routine. Clay mask is amazing for the skin as they hydrate, cleanse, brighten, exfoliate, and boost overall skin health as well. Clay mask also removes excess oil from your skin while saturating it with the nutrients it needs. And thats simply coz clay masks filled with minerals your skin craves. As the mask absorbs on your face, nutrients sink into your skin and make it look soft, smooth and even brighter, also CLEAN PORES = PORES DONT APPEAR SO BIG! If you are like me; #oilyskingang, you can use them up to 2-3 times in a week, while people with dry skin should stick to using them once or (maybe) twice. In these pictures I’m using my very own Hydrating Clay Matcha Mask (fingers crossed, I’ll be able to finally launch them coz they really work on my skin; cleansing the pores, absorbing all the unnecessary oil, reducing redness and pimples while tightening the skin. A couple of my friends who have dry-really sensitive skin have tried it too and it worked amazing on them as well). I use it twice to 3 times a week. I also switch it up with Kiehls Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Masque and they both work wonders! But but but! When the Red Devil approaches, i tend to have hormonal acne so instead of switching it up with Kiehls, i use the Himalaya Purifying Neem Mask! It really helps with my hormonal acne! Ooowee, they be kissing those pimples goodbye so quick! Not to mention its really cheap (about $6) and its natural! Let me know if any of yall have tried these products mentioned above.
