My lipstick 101
Lipstick is something that you never get enough! I mean, each of them has different shades, texture, and you can use them to create countless looks matching with your makeup. How can we say no! ◇ YSL Vernis A Levres Water Satin #613 Love this one!! I have recommended this to many friends and I introduce it to them as “like a cup of strawberry milkshake”. Though it seems to have a dark shade that’s more burgundy than red, it still makes your lip looks soft and tender. The credit should give to its texture. This new formula designed by YSL is super sheer that it's almost unobservable if you only apply one layer. By saying so I don't mean that this lipstick is difficult to get pigmented, instead you can easily build up the color as much as you want depends on how many layers you wanna reapply (and it won't get cakey and sticky!) Really think this product change my mind for lipstick satin. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain

My favourite MAC lipsticks! 😍
Hey everyone! Who doesn’t love a good staple Mac lipstick? MAC lipsticks are known worldwide and have been a popular choice among many makeup enthusiasts and makeup artists for years now- so I thought I would talk about my favourite lip colours in the collection. I have 18 altogether, but I am talking about my favourite 6 shades. All lipsticks have different formulas and wearing power- my preferable formula being matte. They also have a retro matte formula, a satin, amplified, amplified creme, creme sheen, lustre and frost. It depends on your personal preference if you like more sheer, opaque or glossy formulas so I’m glad they offer this option. MAC lipsticks in NZ used to be $40 which quite pricey, especially for an artist wanting to fill up their makeup kitthey have dropped their price $5 cheaper, down to $35 which seems a little bit more affordable. I get mine from Farmers which is a retail store in NZ, but you can also buy them from any MAC store, Smith & Caugheys or Mecca Maxima/Mecca Cosmetica. My most recent purchase and probably my most favourite would be the new love me lipstick in the shade shamelessly vain. I’m wearing it in the last pic attached. I saw a post on Insta with models wearing the shade for a makeup shoot and I was obsessed! I had to buy it. It’s a beautiful orangey red shade that is super pigmented and would suit all skin tones. I think it looks amazing when I wear a fake tan! The next lipstick is brave. It used to be my favourite back in the day, it’s the one I wore in all my old YouTube videos! When the whole Kylie Jenner dark nude lips when around, this is when I brought this shade! It’s a satin formula. The next colour is Candy yum yum which is a matte formula! It’s super bright and daring, perfect for a night out or if you want to feel extra glam. I think this looks amazing with blonde hair- you’ll literally feel like a barbie 🙊 The next colour is lady danger which is quite a popular colour in the whole MAC lipstick collection. It’s similar to shamelessly vain but is more of a true red and has no orange undertones to it. It’s the perfect bright pin up red lipstick and is a matte formula. The next colour is Diva which is a matte formula- you can start to see the trend in me loving matte finishes! I find it lasts longer and doesn’t slide around as easily. I don’t find them too drying either, and it’s perfect to add a gloss on top of. This dark vampy colour is the perfect winter/autumn colour and I always used to get compliments when I wear a dark red/purple. The last colour is the perfect light nude shade! It is called blankety which is an amplified formula. This suits any thing you wear & looks great with a slightly darker lip liner. Who doesn’t want a staple nude in their collection?! That was the end of my MAC lipstick review! Let me know what shade you like the look of the most and let me know your current favourite shades in the comments! 😍❤️ MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick MAC - Amplified Lipstick MAC - MAC Satin Lipstick
First EVER MAC products!
Well everyone! I’ve went and did it, and have finally got me a couple MAC products in my collection that my friend has sold to me! I’ve tried *almost* all of these products just tonight so my thoughts are definitely still fresh! MAC - Studio Fix 24-Hour Smooth Wear Concealer I’ve heard people talk about this stuff for YEARS and said they loved it and now I know why! The colour is PERFECT for highlighting, and I love the smell! I imagine it blends PERFECTLY with a sponge, but alas I’m stuck with brushes for now :/ MAC - Prep + Prime 24-Hour Extend Eye Base Going to be able to give this a more honest review in the morning! I used a bit too much and it didn’t blend right, and also made my lashes clump together However removing my eye makeup was definitely tricky tonight that’s for sure! MAC - Brushstroke Liner This eyeliner is EASILY the best one I’ve used! The super-fine point made wings a dream, and detailing cut creases even better! It stayed black even after drying down and barely transferred! MAC - Iridescent Loose Powder ANOTHER 5 star rating? This powder is GORGEOUS as a highlighter, AND on the lid and I’m excited to see what other uses I can find over time! MAC - Studio Fix Sculpt & Shape Contour Palette I was on my tried and trusted ELF contour pallette for awhile now but this one may steal my heart! The ELF Pallete had a highlighter, but not a matte powder for under the eyes to brighten which disappointed me slightly, but the MAC Pallette had great pay-off and blended nicely, and there appeared to even be a bronzer shade in there for me! #MAC - MAC Pro Refillable Pallette[products]#[FiveStars] I love this idea! While I did not pick the colours myself, ALL the shades are super pigmented and beautiful, and blend like butter, I can’t wait to see what I can create with a palette of mostly shimmers! MAC - Amplified Lipstick While St. Germain is SOOO not my shade, it feels VERY comfortable on the lips! No transferring or bleeding from what I can tell either! MAC - MAC Matte Lipstick Lady Danger is a TOUCH closer to my shade, but still a bit too warm, super comfy on the lip and again NO transfer. Overall I’m SUPER impressed with all these products and may become a fully dedicated MAC girl 💁🏻♀️ See you in the next one!

A simple monochromatic look
UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation T1N COLOURPOP - It's a Princess Thing shadow palette (Colors Used: Fairy Godmother; One Kiss?) The Shadows were creamy and easily to apply and apply and blend. I can’t wait to spend more time with this palette! PAT McGRATH LABS - Dark Star Volumizing Mascara OG HG!!!! CLINIQUE - Cheek Pop Blush Pink Honey. I love these blushes. Easy to pick up on the brush, affordable and buildable. Worth the 25 dollars. PAT McGRATH LABS - BlitzTrance Lipstick Lady Stardust. A neutral with personality. I layered it under ILIA - Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil in Saint. A simple and easy look that didn’t come together exactly like I wanted it to (Fairy Godmother pulled more peach than it showed in pain) but I am satisfied with it.
A perfect lipstick that can also become your blush and eyeshadow!
Buying products with more than one use is not just saving money but can also make our makeup bag lighter and make room for other things. It is also true that most of the additional uses are discovered by chance, including the way how I found my lipstick being an all-round product my face needs. This lipstick is PAT McGRATH LABS - BlitzTrance Lipstick and when I bought it from Sephora, I did not expect any other uses to be honest. But I found that it has a very beautiful shimmering effect, so I thought maybe I can try it on my cheek just like what others do to see whether it can be my lipstick+blush. The one I got is Flesh Fatale and it has peachy, red hue with a lot of glitters in it. The effect of it on my cheek is better than it on my lip. I like the feeling of it on my lip but it makes my lip lines look more obvious if my lip gets quite chapped and dry. I just use my finger to touch some and gently dap on my cheekbone and apple to make my face look healthier. I sometimes also use it as eyeshadow, and it also looks quite natural just like when I put it on cheek. Same way of application, transfer the lipstick to the finger and dap some on eyelid, and that’s it. It is super easy for me to finish a quick makeup if I don’t have much time or when I forget to bring my blush or eyeshadow. The colour of this lipstick is common and creates a soft and warm look, which does not make my look less formal if I am at work. Also when using it as an eyeshadow, its creamy texture gives it a perfect performance on eyelid and around eye area, and no eye primer needed for that. It is such a cool product and gives me unexpected fun to use not just on lip.
My Daily Nude Liquid Lipsticks
As a collector of lip products, I am willing to try different colors and formulas. But in daily basis, my favorite color would be the nudes--especially with a little brown undertone inside. And this time I want to share 3 of my mostly used liquid lipsticks. 😝 Let’s start form the latest collection from Yves Saint Laurent called Water stain lip stain. And I picked the #610, nude underwater, which is a brown nutmeg nude. This is a water-enriched stain, very lightweight, fresh and non-sticky at all. I usually do several layers, because the color is quite sheer but still buildable. The only thing I don’t like this product is that if I lick my lips accidently, it tastes very bitter and I feel like being poisoned (just kidding). Overall, I like this collection and this almond nude color, really juicy and lightweight, perfect for daily makeup. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain The next one I really love and almost use it up is Lancôme L’absolu Lacquer in shade #274, beige sensation. It is a pink brown stain and buildable for high-impact color and shine. I usually do two layers, the first one covers my full lips and use my finger to blend it well, and then my second layer will focus on the inner part of my lips, which will blur my lip line and make my lips look naturally plump. This one is the cheapest among three products and I can use it even without makeup. I really hope everyone can give it a try, and you will love it! LANCÔME - L'absolu Lacquer Gloss The last one is from Bobbi Brown, the Crushed Liquid Lipstick collection named Haute Cocoa, which is rich brown nude color. Because this is not a lip stain, so it won’t last after eating or drinking like the other two. But the full-coverage formula offers great pigment and moisture, so sometimes I use it like a tinted lip balm especially during winter when my lips are always dry. BOBBI BROWN - Crushed Liquid Lipstick What are your daily choices of lipsticks? Leave comments so that I can give them a try. 🤩
Such a luxe lippie
This is such a long-lasting stain powered gloss. I have the shade 168 Rouge Rose and it’s a deep raspberry red. The finish is incredibly shiny but the first layer is sheer. You can build it up for more pigment! The wand is perfect for precise application, and it’s not sticky or tacky in the least. There are 16 beautiful shades to choose from and I can’t wait to try some more! Would absolutely recommend for my lipstick lovers out there LANCÔME - L'absolu Lacquer Gloss
My 3 Favourite Lipsticks
Lipsticks come in a huge variety, whether it be shades or textures, and I always have trouble choosing a favourite. However, as of lately, I’ve been loving and reaching towards these three lipsticks the most: Yves Saint Laurent Vernis À Lèvres Water Stain, Yves Saint Laurent Vernis A Levres Vinyl Cream Stain, and Sephora Collection Color Lip Last Lipstick. YSL Water Stain #610: This has been my favourite lipstick to use as the weather turns colder, and the leaves turns redder. This shade resembles a toned down, milk tea colour that matches perfectly with the autumn mood, so I have been using it daily. I love the texture of this lipstick because it is moisturizing, which has been helping my lips cope with the drying weather. What’s more surprising is that it is not heavy and sticky on the lips at all, unlike most glossy type lipsticks. Like its name, its finish is glossy but not overly tacky, just like your lips have been coated by a thin layer of water. However, due to its lightweight texture, it is not very long lasting and the colour transfers easily onto other objects. YSL Vinyl Cream Stain #416: I also love to use this product recently because of its sophisticated, rotten tomato shade that really compliments my skin tone (neutral). I tend to use it for more special occasions where I want to go for a more dramatic look. Similar to the Water Stain, it also gives a glossy finish, which I adore lately because it makes the lips look plump and healthy. However, it does feel heavier on the lips, but it is the most long lasting out of the three lipsticks because it stains the lips. I love the application because it glides on easily, blending smoothly onto the lips. Both YSL lipsticks smell like sweet candy, which is definitely a plus for me. Sephora Collection Color Lip Last Lipstick: Last but not least, this lipstick also made it into my top 3 list because I was pleasantly surprised by its texture and colour payoff. It feels like butter and glides right onto the lips. Also, it has amazing colour payoff. Normally, I only need to dab a little onto the lips, and one swipe is enough to deepen the colour. I love to use this when I want matte lips for a daily look, because of its beautiful dried rose shade, not to mention it also smells like sweet candy, which lightens my mood whenever I use it!
Create my own summer lip color 🍒+🍑
Today I want to share a really beautiful combination that I love to do recently. Since there are more sunny days this month, I prefer using shiny lip glosses. And the Water Stain collection of Yves Saint Laurent has been my favorite lip products recently because they are water-enriched, lightweight, fresh, and non-sticky at all. The price is $37, like the regular prices of YSL lip products, and recently Sephora has its VIP sales for 20% off, which is a perfect time to give it a try. Let’s start from the base color #610, named nude underwater, which is a brown nutmeg nude. I usually do two layers, because the color is quite sheer but still buildable. I want to have a peach nude color underneath, so the other color will blend naturally. Then I will use #613 on top. This is called Cascade Bordeaux, which is a deep burgundy shade if I do several layers, and a bright strawberry red if I only do one layer. That is the reason I love this collection because they are sheer and buildable, and you can choose how many colors you want depending on seasons, weathers or moods. In this combination, I will only put #613 on the center of my lower lip and blend it with #610 and repeat it again to have a juicy cherry lip color. Then I will use #610 again only on the edge of my lips and blend it inside to have a soft transition. Comparing with only using #610, I feel this combination can make my lips look more pump, and the color is perfect for summer. Since we have to stay at home, it’s time to do some creativity. I do have fun using my old lip colors to create some new ones, and I think it is a good way to save money too. YVES SAINT LAURENT - Vernis à Lèvres Water Stain Lip Stain
Best Armani Lipstick Dupes – Mac
Armani Beauty gains great attention through the beauty markets. Even the price is at a high level. I think it is worth every penny. This brand always does a great job on each of product. Here, I have a dupe recommend – MAC cosmetics, which also provide great products at a very affordable price. These two lipsticks are mauve color, which brightens up my skin tone. Forget to mention that I'm fair to light skin tone. Armani Beauty Lip Magnet Liquid Lipstick $38 Color: 507 Garconne – Mauve Berry Armani #507 is a purple-pink color liquid lipstick. The color is very rich. The texture is lightweight and ultra-thin. It creates a matte finish without too heavy or too thin. And, it is very easy to apply. Mac Satin Lipstick $17 Color: Captive – Pinkish Plum This is a stick lipstick with pink-purple color. The texture of it is really rich and creamy. Color performance is so good. But it's a bit hard to apply. I will recommend wearing a lip primer before applying the lipstick, which will make the application smoothly. Although these two products have a different finish, one for matte and other for satin, the final finish look won't have a great difference. The color of them looks very similar. Though Mac Lipstick #Captive is called as pinkish plum and Armani #507 is described as Mauve Berry, the actual look they present is that captive is more purplish and #507 is more pinkish. Both of them are quite long-lasting and waterproof. I could wear them for more than 5 hours. Armani lipstick did a better job on transfer-proof function. When I wear it, I don't need to refine the make-up after an afternoon tea. Overall, I like both of them. Also, I think both of the brands are professional in makeup products. I will recommend to choose them on your budgets or preference.

Dose of colors Stone & Truffle lip sets
DOSE OF COLORS - Limited Edition Stone Set DOSE OF COLORS - Limited Edition Truffle Set I got these 2 sets from Dose Of Colors and I’m so impressed with the formula. The Truffle set being my favorite because I love Nude lips. The lip liner is so buttery and I love how you get differ options of wear with these kits. If you want a matte lip than you can do that, or a glossy lip, or their new Demi matte ‘velvet mousse’ formula which is super soft on the lips and not as drying as a traditional matte liquid lipstick. If you’re like me and you like to use the same lip color multiple times but still want to switch it up this would be a good set for you. These each retail for $39 which is great considering just 1 liquid lip from dose is $18 and here you get 3 different formulas and a lip liner. Pick it up quick through, they’re limited edition 🙊

Dupe, worth it? Estée Lauder VS. MAC
（The Mac lipstick is in the travel size version, not full size. I believe that red lipstick should be a staple item in every girl’s makeup collection. My favourite red lipsticks include Estée Lauder’s Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick in the shade 333 Persuasive and MAC’s Matte Lipstick in the shade Chili. They happen to be very similar in terms of colour and consistency, and I think MAC’s Chili makes a pretty good dupe of Estée Lauder’s Persuasive. Estée Lauder ($53): I have a neutral skin tone, and this lipstick really brightens my complexion, so I use it almost every day! It is in a beautiful warm red colour that resembles the colour of autumn leaves. I find this lipstick to be very versatile and suitable for any occasion because it goes well with any outfit. I love the application because it is in a creamy texture that glides on the lips like butter. Even though it creates a matte finish, it is not drying at all. One downside about this lipstick is that it is not very long-lasting but it has a very high colour payoff. MAC ($30 / full size, $21 / travel size): Chilli is one of MAC’s most famous products, and I can definitely see why and agree with its popularity! Its colour is more of a deeper and richer brick red compared to Estée Lauder’s lipstick. It adds more liveliness to my face. Chilli has a similar creamy texture that leaves a matte finish, high colour payoff and is equally not very long-lasting. I also find that Chilli complements other lipsticks really well, and smells like chocolate. The only fault I find in this lipstick is that it is more drying than Estée Lauder so you need to moisturise your lips well before using. Apart from that, I love the colour more and therefore thinks that MAC is more worth it.
MAC-MAC Matte Lipstick
Lipsticks: Solid (Creamy) vs. Liquid (Mousse)
Lipsticks come in different textures that can help you achieve different looks. With similar shades, I am still able to switch up the mood by using either a creamy lipstick or a mousse type, depending on my lips’ condition and the occasion. Solid Lipstick: Estée Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick #410 Dynamic For a daily and effortless look, I tend to gravitate towards this product because it has an MLBB shade that complements my neutral skin tone really well. It naturally brightens up my face without attracting too much attention to my lips, so I like to use it when I want to emphasize my eye makeup or when I’m feeling lazy and want to go out with a bare face. This lipstick feels very moisturizing and creamy without being too heavy and oily. It glides right onto the lips, and the color payoff is moderate, which helps me to achieve that natural look. However, because of its formula, it is not very long lasting. Nevertheless, it doesn’t really bother me because I find it easier to retouch the lip colors with a solid lipstick as they are easier to blend. Liquid Lipstick: Chanel Rouge Allure Ink Matte Liquid Lip Colour #196 Precieux This product is also in an MLBB shade that is more of a dried rose color with gold shimmers. What is different about this product compared to the Estee Lauder lipstick is that it is in a liquid, mousse form. This gives me a really soft and airy matte finish without drying my lips out, which I absolutely adore. What is more amazing is that it doesn’t emphasize the wrinkles and cracks in my lips, unlike most of the matte lipsticks on the market! This lipstick tends to make me look more mature given my neutral skin tone, which I like when I want to go for a sophisticated look. Because of its special texture and finish, I prefer this one over the solid lipstick.

My Best Lip Gloss Awards!
This beauty award troubles me a lot since I have a lot of lip gloss and each one of them has its outstanding features. After a long time of struggle, I choose these three for this award. YSL TATOUAGE COUTURE MATTE STAIN 16—most naked I can say that YSL 16 is the best representative in cameo brown color scheme. This kind of color is pretty naked and natural which makes me look super soft, generous and elegant. Therefore, it can be used in every occasion and I take it with me as long as I go out. Actually, I bought it two years ago and I almost used it up. (You know how difficult it is to use up a tube of lip gloss) CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE INK FUSION 818 TRUE RED—most lasting Whenever I apply CHANEL INK 818 on my lip, I feel like a noble princess. Its color is quite similar to fresh red apples which would make me look younger and more energetic easily. The amazing thing is that it is hydrated and comfortable enough, although it would become matte immediately. However, the reason why I love it so much is that it is the most lasting lip gloss that I have ever used. It seems that the color can cling to my lip firmly without fading no matter I eat or drink. Thus, this one would be my first choice to date. GIORGIO ARMANI LIP MAESTRO 405—brightest GA is my favorite brand among all top cosmetic brands since it offers so many choices on lip color for customers and I recommend GA 405 the most. The color of GA 405 is similar to ripe tomatoes which is a perfect mix of red and orange. Also, it has a naturally glossy finish with soft copper-gold micro-shimmer. When it is applied on my lip, my skin looks fresher, healthier and more vibrant immediately even if I stay up late the night before. In a word, it suits all occasions. Whenever I cannot decide which lip gloss to use, I would choose this one.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick
Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick I got this lil sample from Sephora and while I normally do not like nude shades, this one is beautiful. I find it similar in color to the Fresh Honey Lip Balm that I reviewed earlier, but obviously (because this is a matte lipstick not a lip balm) it has a lot more staying power and a matte formula. I probably wouldn’t buy this again, because I’ve used this sample so rarely and don’t reach for this color typically, if you love a nude lipstick, this is for you. It’s so beautiful and comfortable on the lips as well.
