Let’s be flawless✨
Choosing the best foundation for makeup is important for a flawless and clean look. MAC’s Studio Fix and ESTEE LAUDER’s Double Wear Stay-in-place Makeup are two very welcomed products, l’ll compare & contrast these two and hope this post help you pick the right one! ESTEE LAUDER’s Double Wear is already known far and wide, and I personally think it worths the praises! I have light warm skin tone and after finishing so many bottles (yes Double Wear is my fav!!) I found shade #1W1 – Bone is the best match. It performs outstanding abilities to the aspects of coverage and long-standing. I mean…these are basically the key criteria that we look at for foundation, right? I have acne marks and pore problems in my T-Zone, Double Wear provides almost flawless full coverage that sometimes I feel like concealer is unnecessary. As one with oily skin I must say that this is the most long-lasting foundation I’ve ever used and it’s not dry. Many will be less familiar with MAC’s Studio Fix compared to Double Wear. The shade I use for this one is NC13. This one is also famous for its coverage; however, the texture is more lightweight and makes the coverage less powerful than Double Wear. While it is this lightweight texture that enables your skin to breath better, as some people might encounter problems like clogged pores and pimples with Double Wear. If your skin does not need such heavy coverage you can consider about MAC! By the way, with MAC you will get a more dewy, hydrated and fresher finish, while Double Wear creates a more matte look.

90s Makeup Trend: Blue Eyes and Nude Lips
So, we’re all back in the 90s as far as fashion trends are concerned. Thankfully, we’re keeping this decade’s eyebrows! I decided to try out two 90s inspired makeup looks with different shades of blue from the MORPHE - The James Charles Palette . My light look was created using the shade “Hello” all over the lid and crease, and running a bit of “Playgroung” on my lower lash line, and onto the outer half of my upper lash line. This added a little definition and brightness to the pale blue base. The light shimmery blue all over the eye and crease felt super retro and fun! ❄️🧚🏻👗 My dark look was created using the shade "Brother" all over the lid and blended into the crease, and "A capella" tapped onto the centre of the eyelid. This rich, dark version of the 90s blue eyeshadow trend felt much more modern and striking. 🧵🌊🌏 These looks are great for brown eyes - as you can see - but there are really no rules! You could achieve a toned down version of this look by lining your eyes with blue shades and adding lashings of mascara! Or pairing a navy blue or turquoise waterline with a bronze or copper upper lid! Don't be afraid of the blue! 2020 is the time to realise your colourful makeup dreams. Complexion Details 👸🏻 If you were interested in my complexion products, I used the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in the shade 1C0 Shell, the REVOLUTION - Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer in the shade C1, the Revlon Sculpt + Highlight Contour Kit in Light/Medium, and a touch of Juvia's PLACE - The Saharan Blush Palette shade Yara to warm up the apples of my cheeks slightly. Lip Details 💄💋 I did a DIY lip colour to get the 90s nude look. I put some L.A. Girl - L.A. Girl Luxury Creme Lipstick in the shade Teddy around the edges of my lips, and patted some Covergirl Colorliscious Lipstick in the shade 230 in the centre (I think this line is discontinued!) Skin Details: I have fairly dry and fairly sensitive skin. I am very fair, too. I live in Brisbane, so the weather is getting more humid by the day, and is generally very sunny.

Blotchy Foundation? We Don’t Know Her 🤪
The key to to a flawless foundation always, always starts with the base! Ive foundation what helps me get super-smooth application is hydration. When my skin’s hydrated, everything smooths and layers on like butter. 🌸 Warning: it’s extremely thick! So if you don’t like thick/heavy moisturizer, this is not for you. But I’ve found this to be the best moisturizer for under my foundation. COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Intensive Cream 🌸 After letting my moisturizer sink into my skin for 2-10 minutes (depending on how much time I have lol), I smooth this gal on. This is a new product by Too Faced btw! I just started using it and love it so far. And it smells like heavennnnnnn. Too Faced - Plump & Prime Face Plumping Primer Serum 🌸 Then I smooth this all-time fave on areas of my face that get super oily, like my t-zone and center cheeks. smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer 🌸 Okay, I know opinions on this brand/foundation are polarizing and some people swear it’s the worst for your skin! But I SWEAR by this foundation lol. I’ve been using it since I was 15 and I’ve never found anything that compares. It is heavy and full coverage, but that’s what I like :). I apply it with a wet beauty blender. MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation 🌸 This one’s a no-brainer! A holy grail! tarte - Shape Tape Concealer 🌸 I actually use this as a spot concealer around my face for any imperfections poking through. Another product I’ve been using for years. It’s so creamy and amazing!!! MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer 🌸 I cannot live without this thing. I spray it all over my face after I finish the wet part of my routine and it melts everything together. MAC - Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray, Original Soothing Herbal 🌸 I LOVE this eye powder!!!! I do have to say, it’s REALLY white. But I have super dark circles under my eyes and love that super light under eye look. I use a dry baby beauty blender for this one. laura mercier - Secret Brightening Powder for Under Eyes 🌸 I have really big pores that poke through everything and anything and this powder is literally the only thing that hides ‘em. It gives me the illusion of smooth skin while setting my makeup to last all day long. I know this sounds crazy, but I apply it with the same damp beauty blender I used for my foundation, just the clean side of it. Idk how or why, but it works! laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder 🌸 Best setting spray in the UNIVERSE!!! MORPHE - Continuous Setting Mist
Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation
This is the foundation I wear for events! I have oily & acne prone skin! This lasts long, has no flash back, and doesn’t budge! My skin tone is medium with warm undertones. I use shade 4W1. It does not oxidize. This is a medium-full coverage that is also buildable! The only drawback I have is that it doesn’t come with a pump. It’s quite doable to pour it out and onto your brush/sponge. You can buy a pump for about $8-10. Have you tried this cult favourite? ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation

THIS OR THAT？two foundations for oily skin
With typical oily skin (especially in summer) and sometimes occasional pimples, my needs for the foundation is strong oil-control power, concealing power, long lasting, and also should be friendly to the sensitive skin. It’s not easy for me to find an ideal product until I met these two types of foundations. both of them are pretty good for my skin but there are still some differences. 1.ESTEE LAUDER double wear stay-in-place makeup. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I bet all girls with oily skin should know this super-star product. You can see it in almost every vlog of those make-up bloggers. Yeah, it is popular for its strong concealing and long lasting power. But also because of it, it will be a little thick and heavy if you put too much on your face. (But just a little, better than a lot of foundations from YSL…) So I strongly recommend to use a beauty blender to make the effect more natural. It does set quickly but the runny texture means it spreads easily and is easy to blend. I don’t feel like I’ve got much make up on, I suppose maybe because it has good coverage. All in all, it almost meet all my needs as a foundation. 2.MAC fix fluid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I give 5 stars to ESTEE LAUDER double wear, this one wins 4. Mac foundations to me are notorious for transferring, which doesn’t change for this one. Also, it isn’t for all-day wear. But except these, it’s perfect in full coverage. Every time my skin was in bad situation with some pimples, I would definitely choose this one as my daily routine foundation. For me the concealing power of this one is better than double wear, it’s phenomenal. One thing should be noticed is that I don’t think this one is suitable for dry skin. And several of my friends told me this one may cause some breakouts on face (but never happens to me) so maybe the sensitive skin should pay more attention.

Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion foundation
Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundationlaura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation from Laura Mercier is a matte finish and full coverage liquid foundation with 15 hour longwearing, and oil free look. I have tried a lot of other types of foundation over the years. And I thought nothing could replace my NARS natural radiant longwear foundation but this foundation is amazing blends incredibly well and feels amazing on skin. This foundation has a good full coverage without being cakey. It is also breathable light liquid form and prefect for my acne prone skin types.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation🖤
This is my second favorite foundation. I’ve been buying it on and off for about four years. It is medium to full coverage and still feels very light weight. It is a natural finish so it’s not too matte or too shiny. I love it because it really does look just like my skin when I have it on but it covers my blemishes and uneven tones so wel. It also blends really smoothly and has a silky consistency. My one complaint about this foundation is that the shades I use can look a little orangey if I’m not tan. I use this particular shade in the summer when my skin is a little bit darker. It’s $39.00 and I would say it’s worth that. When people ask me for foundation recommendations this is definitely something I suggest trying. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Matte & Porel
This is one of the first few drugstore foundations I’ve tried and it have been in my collection ever since! Shade: 310 - Sun Beige Finish: natural, seamless finish, mattifies and refines pores Packaging: it comes in a clear glass bottle with a black plastic cap! Con: it doesn’t have a pump thus pouring it out of the bottle may lead to wasting the product This is my fave foundation for a natural Demi matte finish for medium coverage! MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation 💕SKINTYPE: oily, acne-prone, texture at times 💕SKINTONE: medium warm 💕HAIRTYPE: 1a, dark brown colour, oily scalp

My perfect foundation shade! Double wear in Ecru
ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation This foundation claims to be a 24 hour full coverage foundation that dries down completely matte. It’s consistency is very liquidy but dries down completely! Ecru is supposed to be light with neutral rosy undertones which I think is accurate but it was a bit more golden than expected. My skin’s undertone is pink but it’s a subtle pink, so I enjoyed that there was an option for a foundation with rosy-neutral undertones! This foundation does dry down to be very matte so it doesn’t work as well for me in the winter when my skin has more dry patches but it’s my holy grail for summer and fall! It can cause me to break out if I use it for weeks without a break but it is full coverage so for me that was kind of expected. The last photo of me is without foundation so you can really see the coverage! Overall I really love this foundation and I definitely think it’s worth the $46 price! Especially because it is so full coverage you don’t have to apply a lot and the bottle lasts a long time! I would recommend it if you’re skin is oily or combo/oily!
