My foundation collection 🥳
Here's a rundown of every foundation I have and my rating/opinion on them (the ones I've owned for quite a bit)! Enjoy :) MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation in 112 natural ivory - moves around a lot and isn't good for oily skin, since I found it to need lots of powder Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint in shades G10, 11 & 12 - they're tints, so don't expect full coverage - more like light-medium, you can build it up. I give them 4/5 stars bc they need to expand their shade range and bc I found I needed lots of powder to set this one. Rare Beauty - Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation in 140C - I'm so impressed by this one and I love it. So worth it and the shade range is really good. A good long wearing foundation and I didn't have any issues. Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation in seashell & cloud - I mix them together to get my perfect shade, since cloud is too light and seashell is too dark. Def one of the best foundations (if not the best) ever made. COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation in 510/porcelain - too light but not a bad foundation, more of a skin tint and the smell kinda bothers me I have yet to try all these in a wear test: DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundationin 1 cool rosy ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation in 3.75 HOURGLASS - Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stickin vanilla ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation in 1C0 shell beautyblender - Bounce Liquid Whip Long Wear Foundationin 1.50 cool Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Longwear Foundationin 2 cool Next up to try: Fenty pro filt'r soft matte foundation and YSL all hours foundation - I have samples of both and I'm excited to try them

OK CoNTOuR!!! 💜
Soooo I’m going to make this post short and sweet! Who knew that makeup could change your face shape??? Plus, who needs a nose job when all you need is makeup and about 5 minutes to blend it onto your face?? A lot of my clients have never even heard of contour...... exactly about 80 percent of them. Call me old school, I’m actually 34 years of age but if you look wayyyyy back in time, I’m talking like 1920s even those beautiful women had some type of contour going on!! I watched a video on YouTube the other day and it seems that blush was commonly used to contour. The whole concept is great! It’s all about the way that shadows hit your face! I kindly explain to my clients how to get a good contour according to their own face shape! EVERYONE is different! That is the key for my style of contouring, knowing that each face shape is different and I have to contour according! Opps I said I would keep this short, so in the pictures I provided,I used my own contouring techniques that I think fit my face according! Thanks for checking out my post! Have a fabulous day!!!!💄💋💄 💜Always remember that beauty is both inside and out💜 Too Faced - Cocoa Contour Contouring Palette CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Bronzer/Blender Brush Too Faced - Hangover Dynamic Duo MORPHE - Morphe X Jaclyn Hill JH01 Powder Brush PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Limited Edition Butter Collection X Weylie Hoang

Damn Girl, why your brush so big?
I found the Too Face Damn Girl mascara to be ok but nothing to get excited about. I feel like I have average lashes with them as far as volume goes but I didn’t see much lengthening. However, it does seem to hold a curl better than mascaras with runny consistencies. It’s a drier formula so while it doesn’t run all over your face it still is messy which brings me to the main issue. Why is this brush so big?!? The formula itself wouldn’t be messy if it was applied with a smaller mascara wand. When I apply it is all over my lids and bottom lash line which exacerbated the dark circles if you don’t clean it up. This mascara requires a q-tip clean up every single time. This isn’t as big of deal when just wearing mascara and bare lids but it messes up my eyeshadow and liner so I have to redo it (yes I’ve tried applying mascara first and I get too much fallout on the lashes from eye shadow where it looks worse than cleaning up afterward). While I didn’t pay for this because it’s an add on trial size with a Sephora order, I’m rating it as if I did because I feel the formula is similar to lash paradise but the brush is too big which causes all the issues. CeraVe Foaming Cleanser Review
[PRODUCT REVIEW] Cleanser CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Fragrance free What It Is: A very basic foaming gel cleanser that contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide suitable for oily/ combinations skin. Texture: A gel cleaner. Moderate foaming. My Experience: I’ve had fairly good experience with this cleanser. It does what a cleanser does effectively and it’s not irritating. I do enjoy less foaming but that might be a con for others. The only down side is that it can be a bit drying in winter for my combination skin. But nothing drastic.

Check out my skin journey in only 2 weeks!
Back story: Back at the beginning of November I had been on curology for the second time and it made my face feel worse, the face wash didn’t make my face feel clean so I bought one they recommended (Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser ) I continued to use the formula they gave me and it was just not for me. November 26 I spoke to my doctor and told her what I was going through and she put me on Doxycycline which helped with stopping the bacteria from producing but I still had the blemishes I had. I was desperate by this time, I didn’t know what to believe from youtubers(most are paid or sponsored= no trust from me) nor anything posted online and I was not about to try a million product because I know it takes time. That is when I came across this site and I started reading some real life stories and what people like me were going through! I saw some products that these people were using and I decided to give it a shot! Thank you to the ladies who posted their story! Your transparency and selflessness has help me with my confidence and most importantly my skin! Xoxo Story time! As you can see on December 20th my skin was nothing but clogged and congested. My self esteem was at an all time low. I would purposely avoid hanging out with my friends, I hated how make up would look covering the acne, I was honestly just not in a good place. I started reading stories from people like me and they were using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin and CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin so I decided to give it a shot! On December 26 I decided to go to Walgreens and pick it up. Christmas was the day before and I was tired of how I was feeling (I was shying away from the camera with my own family and thats just not me, I wanted to go back to feeling like my best self) I followed my skin regimen religiously! After my shower I would brush my teeth and then wash my face and apply some lotion. At night I would do the same thing! Fun fact: I like to change my pillow cases every two days-week. First thing I noticed after the face wash is how clean my face felt but it didn’t feel dried out or congested it actually felt like soft skin. Jan 3: A week after I started using the face wash and lotion I started to notice the congested parts of my face were coming out. Jan 6: Like they say it has to get worse before it gets better. I thought I was reacting badly to the products but I read a little more and purging is real! Jan 7: My skin started calming down a bit with the redness but what had to come out came out! If you are going through this process dont get discouraged keep your skin care routine consistent! Jan 10: still have some blemishes but you can see the softness glow! I posted the pictures I posted with the dates so you guys can see the process. We are sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly not just the pretty!

Pastel cut crease look
Hey guys, so I got bored and thought I would give a little pastel look a go... I’m quite happy with result and my thoughts on each of the products are below 💗. I have also purchased the rose gold and Lilac pastel palettes as well so I might do a look with them soon. HUDA BEAUTY - Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette First of all this palette is stunning. It gives a variety of both of glitter and matte shades and the pigment is pretty good especially for a full palette of pastel shades. You do need to gradually build up the shades for them to really pop on the eye, but that’s expected for pastels and the Huda palette is definitely one of the better ones I have tried in regards to this. There are a few minor issues I have with this palette which did make me drop a star. The fall out from the shades is CRAZY, which personally isn’t a huge deal for me and it might have been the way I was packing them on the eye but definitely something to bear in mind if your looking at purchasing. And finally some of the shades in the palette can not be blended together for some reason when I tried to added the glitter of a couple of the Matte shades the colour under would just completely disappear and rub off which was quite disappointing and something to bear in mind. FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick Ok so I love Rhi Rhi don’t get me wrong and a lot of people live for her trios and contour sticks but personally I found this really hard to blend on the face. I do have one of the older sticks so I’m not sure if she’s updated the formula on them since I’ve had mine but I definitely found i was tugging at my skin trying to get this is blend nicely. I will say warming the product up on the back of my hand helped with this and I do really like the colour after it was all blended. benefit - Goof Proof Brow Deal Not much to say about this, I LOVE this product and have been using it for years now it really helps define my brows while still keeping them looking natural. Highly recommend this I love it!

Model off-duty look ✨ #CheriePartner
Have you ever wondered how do models look so good on AND off the runway? My research tells me the key to that off duty, “I didn’t even try” look is achievable by following these easy steps and keeping it simple 🙌 Let’s start with skin. Models seem to have flawless skin, to achieve that perfected look we just need a glowy base and an even skin tone. For this look I skipped foundation altogether and opted for concealer only, I went in with the DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer this creamy concealer gives full coverage but a natural finish that is never cakey. I used it to spot conceal and to cover my under-eyes circles. Next is brows, models keep they’re brows defined but feathery. I used Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen & ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel I recommend just following the natural shape of you brow and not overdoing it. I used the essence - Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder to give my cheeks and jaw some definition, and on my eyes as well. Essence makes beautiful powder products, in my opinion. This formula is buttery soft and blends beautifully. I personally prefer products that can be built up since they’re more forgiving, rather than having something super pigmented upon first application because I’ve been guilty of going overboard. It has a coconut-y scent but it’s very faint, tho I’d steer clear if you’re sensitive to fragrance. You can find this for $4.99 at Ulta! For blush I went in with the essence - Satin Touch Blush in ‘Satin Coral’ for a subtle touch of color and essence - Pure Nude Highlighter which is probably my favorite powder highlighter ever. Since I used all powders for my makeup today I decided to give the e.l.f. - Elf+ Glow Dewy Mist a try! I picked this up recently and wow, I’m actually very impressed with the mist itself but the packaging is not the best ☹️ the nozzle just kind of spits out the mist and leaves big droplets on the skin which could potentially ruin all your work. BUT, let’s talk about the product inside because I think it’s really good! This mist is formulated with coconut water, hyaluronic acid and argan oil as key ingredients, all amazing ingredients for hydrated, dewy skin. It’s kinda milky in texture and feels very refreshing, helps powders melt beautifully on skin but I wish it was more of a fine mist. Lastly, for lips I went in with the CALEY COSMETICS - Beach Babe Natural Lips in ‘Nude’ which is very close to my natural lip shade, added some Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in Cherry since it has a subtle red tint and I think a subtle lip is key here. I topped it all off with the Glossier. - Glossier. Lip Gloss in Red. Love this gloss, it isn’t goopy or heavy, and the shine lasts long. And that’s it! Lmk if you have any tricks to looking effortless below!

Manuka Honey will SAVE your skin!
This is only a month side by side! For some background knowledge my skin barrier got extremely damaged after trying to oil cleanse using the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil and Lip Cream Gift Set Which completely ended up breaking out my skin! My skin isn’t usually acne prone or anything but it completely blocked my pores. So obviously after freaking out. I tried using a ton of different products and nothing helped. In fact I made matters worse. I tried using curology I tried using Cerave products and even some Farmacy products. I literally tried everything under the sun. 🚨 Also take in mind my skin has been pretty much always pretty good never flawless but pretty much no acne ever! So this was a complete shock! 🚨 UNTIL! Manuka Honey was a GOD SEND PEOPLE!!!! (No exaggeration!) Manuka honey is well known for its medicinal properties particularly its wound healing properties. It’s also known to balance the ph in your skin, hydrate and fight acne plus it can also exfoliate and help with hyperpigmentation! Not only can it help with exterior factors like your skin but it can also help with internal factors like your gut health, or if you have strep throat. Basically it’s like your ✨magic potion✨ all in 1!! ❤️ MANUKA HONEY IS ALSO HYRAM APPROVED! ❤️ My skin routine is now extremely simple and is for those who have sensitive skin like myself and cannot handle oils on their face but still need something hydrating. My skin routine: Morning Wash off my honey mask from the night before with just water (cold preferably) COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Awesome if you have a disrupted moisture barrier or need some extra plumpness to your routine plus it makes your skin glow with your moisturizer and gives lots of hydration while fighting hyperpigmentation CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin Great because it not only moisturizes your skin but it also has SPF to protect it, while giving you the benefits of niacinamide and is oil free! Great for sensitive skin!! Night LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I love this cleanser! This is now my #1 go to 100%! Not only is it hydrating just enough! But it’s so gentle and gets rid of your makeup which is always a plus! And it doesn’t break you out while giving you those great benefits like niacinamide! ✨🍯 UMF 15+ Manuka Honey: I wear straight up honey as a Face mask overnight (Sleep with it on) and wash it off in the morning. (Super simple) 🍯 ✨ This is what absolutely changed everything for my skin. If u can only afford 1 product get Manuka honey with a UMF factor of AT LEAST 10+ i have the 15+ but 10+ will work just as amazing! This will go along way and get rid of basically any problems with your skin.

My Skincare Routine- 5 Months Later!
Long time no post! Since my first post regarding my skincare routine received quite a bit of attention, I decided to update and let you know what I’ve learned to do within the past few months. I still am using the same CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin cleanser, which will remain a long time favorite of mine. I am considering trying the SA cleanser once this runs out! My routine has simplified, as I really only moisturize and use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the morning and at night. I love how my once oily skin is now more manageable! I have come to learn that my skin really doesn’t agree with the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA serum. I was away at college and left it home, as I’ve been back for about a month I decided to try it again and my skin has NOT been happy. I could be wrong, but I believe this can be to blame. I have really switched over from my The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to the The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque once a week, as I feel the latter is less harsh on my skin. I could possibly be allergic to the peeling solution, as again at school I left it out of my routine and saw better results. My holy grail product used to be the MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion , which worked great but dried my skin out around the pimple over time. Now, acne patches are the way to go! I got these ones from Amazon, and at ~$10 for 125 patches, I see it as a complete win! Now I turn to you guys, as I still struggle with hormonal acne and now dry skin that the weather has changed. If there are any products you recommend (with a college students budget in mind!), don’t hesitate to comment below! I hope you all had safe and wonderful holidays with your loved ones! ❤️

Acne-friendly makeup with full coverage... [b&a pic]
Acne-friendly makeup with full coverage... [b&a pic]
It is super annoying to put on heavy makeup layer by layer, but it is unavoidable to get a perfect look for people like me with lots of acne scars and pimples. Sometimes the situation may even get worse since some products can clog pores, which leads to more pimples and scars if not treated in time. I just want to share some products and tips that I found quite helpful to get a great look without complicating procedures.    What I do first after waking up is to drink a whole glass of warm water to clean my gut and wake it up. Then and go to wash my face with a scrub cleanser. I prefer a scrub cleanser than a normal cleanser is because the tiny particles in the scrub can effectively exfoliate all the dead skin produced during the night in a gentle way. This is an amazing preparation for the following makeup.   After that I apply an oil-free moisturiser which is good for oily skin like me, and a bit of spray over my face. I like spraying my face and neck after the cleansing, moisturiser, and after the foundation. It is just a thermal spring water spray that provides sheer hydration I can handle, especially in the summertime.    The scrub and the spray preps for the skin for makeup and here is the last tip I want to emphasise. My way to camouflage all my acne or pimple or whatever the flaw on my face, is to apply concealer and setting powder two times in a makeup: one before foundation and one after the foundation. I put on the concealer and use powder to set it, and that is the first layer of coverage that stays longer than it’s on the foundation. I follow this again after the foundation to make it stay longer and cover better.    I know that full coverage tip sounds scary to somebody, but it is really hard to conceal all the marks on make. However, the process is easy to remember and follow on a daily basis and the feeling on face is quite light in face. The whole look gets more dazzling when our face gets slightly oily after a few hours.

Take These Products Away....Far Away From Me
TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer The product broke me out so badly. It was awful and I am not talking a little blemish here or there but huge blemishes on my cheek, chin and nose. Milk MAKEUP - Milk MAKEUP Highlighter I had two problems with this product: it didn’t deposit any color unless I scrubbed it against my cheek and it broke me out. No thanks. fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I know this is a Holy Grail product for many a magazine but I can only rec it if you enjoy washing your face with sandpaper. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi It did everything but LITERALLY set my face on fire. Red blotches and peeling skin galore. The opposite of a moisturizer in my book.

YUNI Yunicorn Celestial Jelly
YUNI Yunicorn Celestial Jelly Mask Cleanser So obviously this has the coolest texture ever. An oil based jelly balm with a holographic purple rainbow. Its not a greasy balm, it feels like a nice smooth oil jelly. As an oil balm it removes makeup, but it also emulsifies and rinses clean like a typical gel oil balm cleanser. Normally I prefer a gel oil balm as a morning cleanser but I will use it as a night cleanser on days when I don’t wear makeup I love the base of this jelly cleanser. This is easily the coolest gel oil balm cleanser I’ve used in a long time. It’s fun just for the novelty effect!

The Best “Your Skin But Better” Combination!
The Best “Your Skin But Better” Combination!
I hate heavy makeup- it feels so suffocating on my skin and makes my face look flat, without any of the unique dips and marks that make me *me*. So I basically lived without makeup from age 20 to 25, despite having tried every drugstore and Sephora foundation I could get my hands on- MAC, Urban Decay, Maybelline, CoverGirl. You name a big brand and I’ve probably tried it over time. But it was on Instagram that I found my absolute favourite makeup brand: Glossier! Renowned for its Insta-famous dewy models and Insta-worthy minimalist, millennial pink packaging, Glossier manages to keep their pricing very reasonable while offering a product that is both effective and pretty to look at. Their face products are especially amazing, even for a sensitive-skinned gal like me whose skin deviates between oily and dry by the day! So, here’s what makes my makeup base on days/evenings where I need to be a bit more polished: 1. Skincare Routine: I sub out my usual moisturizer for the Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer , spot-treating particularly dry areas with THE inkey LIST - Rosehip Oil or CeraVe - Healing Ointment . Then, after everything has settled, a layer of sunscreen! I love PAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 with a passion. 2. Concealer:Glossier. - Stretch Concealer is perfectly emollient and moisturizing. I rub my (washed) fingertip in the pot before gently dabbing the concealer onto my darkest hyperpigmented spots and under my eyes. This concealer is AMAZING for hiding dark circles without creasing or making my eyes look flat/obviously covered up. It may take a second layer for hiding super dark acne spots but I typically don’t bother. 3. Foundation:Glossier. - Perfecting Skin Tint is the only foundation I’ll ever wear again. It is lightweight and sheer, correcting tone slightly and offered a very very basic level of coverage while letting my skin shine through. I’d call it dewy for sure, so whenever my skin is oily I go in with... 4. Powder: I could honestly say I’d never liked facial powder until I tried the Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder 💕 It’s similarly lightweight to the Skin Tint and the Glossier. - Wowder Brush applies it lightly, perfect for building up coverage gradually. I swipe over my forehead, nose, and chin then move on, confident that the satin (not matte) finish looks natural and doesn’t accentuate any pores or creases. This all creates a natural, polished look that I reserve for church, dates, and holidays. It comes off easily with a balm cleanser, zero rubbing, and I never breakout from it- perfect for my needs!

Cleansing is my favourite part
Cleansing is my favourite part of my skincare routine. Especially my PM cleanse - nothing beats taking off my makeup, SPF & all the days grime! I always double cleanse. If you've not heard of double cleansing before, it's literally as it's name suggests, washing your face twice! The idea is the 1st cleanse removes your makeup / SPF (hopefully you're all wearing SPF every day! Makeup is optional 😂) and the 2nd cleanse cleans your skin. SPF & most makeup is tough to remove, 1 cleanse won't cut it! Traditionally the 1st cleanse should be an oil or oil based balm. Oil is super efficient at removing dirt & melts though makeup like a dream! Really though, it's personal preference & you can use whatever you like. As you can see, balms are my preferred choice. I've been using up my two favourites A.Florence Balm to Milk & Deviant The Cleansing Concentrate. Both of these are to die for! They're so different but equally wonderful. Recent additions are both from Elemis - the large pot of Pro-collagen Neroli & the mini pot of Pro-collagen Rose. Also pictured are the original version of Pro-collagen balm - this was the one that got me hooked on balms! The OG. I've had this pot in my stash for a bit - it's gone almost runny!😫 I'm hoping it's not past its best. I've given it a good mix & used it tonight & it seems fine 🤞🏻I know they can melt but it was in the same place as the others?! 🤷🏻‍♀️There's also Beauty Pie's Plantastic balm too - looking forward to trying that!

Perfect Dewy Primer/Serum !
Perfect Dewy Primer/Serum !
I had purchased this a few weeks back mainly because I thought it looked cute and I was in desperate need of a serum ! I found this at walmart for only $17 Since using it I noticed my skin has felt a lot softer and more willing to accept products I put on it ! 🍯 How I apply 🍯 I use the applicator that comes with it and gentle spread a small amount on my cheeks and my neck ( I avoid my forehead because I have fungal acne ), I then massage it into my skin. ✨ Pros ! ✨ The product itself is very cute and is very well made, it’s glass and the product itself has small gold flakes in. It makes your skin super soft It helps with dry skin and has help clean up some of my acne It doesn’t have a smell 🦋 Cons 🦋 It is a little sticky because it is also a primer
