DIY: At-home Mani!
My nails (pre-COVID) sucked. I had to wear bio-gel nails because of how much they would break. But when things closed, it forced me to change my routine (for the better). To be completely honest, my nails look better now than they ever did before so I might keep my own at-home routine going indefinitely! S T E P S : 1. NAIL SOAK: I finally found a use for all those facial cleansers that my skin simply couldn’t handle! I put a few pumps into a bowl with warm water to soak (and soften) the nails and cuticles. I leave each hand for about 3-5 minutes. NUXE - Rêve De Miel Face and Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel

Worst Smelling Product EVER 🤮🙅🏽♀️
I just got this hand cream for Christmas, and wow do not buy this! I usually love Body Shop lotions because they're so rich and creamy.. but God this one smells awful!! After applying this your hands smell like pickles and garbage... Yes they're soft but wow the smell is so bad and very strong.
Heavy duty hand cream
THE BODY SHOP - Hemp Hand Protector What it is: a heavy duty hand cream made with hemp seed oil to nourish dry skin What it costs: $6 for 1 oz What I think: this is truly a heavy duty hand cream. I am rough with my hands and cuticles and forget to use hand creams regularly, so this this actually perfect when my hands are beat up and I finally remember to give them some love. I love how affordable this is, and that this is safe for sensitive skin.

How to grow strong nails 💪🏾
📅 november 2020. after seeing @annkrisha's post on cherie, i decided to follow her steps. you can see my progress in a month. 👝 so I bought the gummies and a nail treatment. 🍓 the gummies NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies i took the strawberry cream flavour, because it's made with biotin. 🍊 there's an orange flavor but it's made with collagen. 👩🏾🔬 but what is biotin? it's a water- soluble B vitamin that helps your body convert food into energy. in German, it is called H vitamin. the H stands for "Haar und Haut" which means "hair and skin". 💉 you take 2 gummies per day, a few hours before or after another medication to avoid interactions. they help to support: nail health maintain health of normal hair and skin maintain good health (wound healing, metabolism...). 🤔 in the past, I tried the Centrum - Multi+ Beauty Gummies Natural Cherry, Berry & Orange but I didn't like the taste. I did see some improvement in the nail area though. 💗 the nail treatment: Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab it is an intensive strengthening treatment. "the jasmin, rose and vitamin E formula helps strengthen and protect your nails, instantly fill in ridges and hide imperfections". 🔎 you apply 1 or 2 coats, as needed. after a week, remove and re-apply. you can also use it as a base coat. 🤗 my nails are growing strong! i recommend this. thx for reading! #CheriePartner

Easy & Game-changing✨4 steps to perfect nails at home!
As a kind of impatient girl, I've searched on the internet so long to build a simple nail care routine for my damaged nails. Here's an easy one that I finally got and actually helpful: Step 1: Clean Starting with a quick clean-up of the cuticles with a flexible cuticle remover. First, I'd like to drop some #KellyKessa - KellyKessa cuticle softener[products]# on my nails, then massage the drops in and then gently push back the cuticles with a cuticle remover. After that, I'll rinse off my nails with warm water. Personally, I don't cut up all my cuticles as even a smattering of them help protect my nails and reduce the risk of infections. Step 2: Trim and file Use a flexible nail clipper to shape and smooth out the edges of my nails. You can trim your nails in whatever shapes you fancy but I'd kindly remind you that coffin nails are more likely to breakage. Step 3: Moisturize Next, I'll moisturize my nails using a nourishing cuticle oil also from KellyKessa, which smells amazing and quite hydrating. During this process, I'll also smooth my hands with TOCCA - Crema Da Mano Hand Cream Giulietta, which has a lightweight formula and never makes me feel sticky. Step 4: Treatment Later, I'll apply CND - Vinylux Rescue Rxx Treatment to my nails for extra nourishment. This nail treatment contains jojoba oils and sweet almond oils to strengthen nails powerfully. Finally, I'll end up with OPI - OPI Natural Nail Strengthenerto apply a protecting layer on my nails. This product is my favorite nail strengthener, as it makes my nails quite even and strong. Okay, that's my nail care routine! This is an easy nail care routine with only 4 steps and typically takes me 15 minutes. Hope you guys enjoy it! What're your nail care tips? Drop your words below xoxo!

DIY Nails At-Home
Can I talk about how much I miss my nail tech and how I’ll never take them for granted... ever. The work they put in is unmatched! The cow print nails you see above was done by my lovely nail tech. However, months went by in the quarantine and I couldn’t take it anymore, so I put matters into my own hands. Here’s what I used & the steps: First, I filed the top layer off using Beauty 360° - Designer Nail Files Second, I used cotton balls and aluminum foil to soak my nails in up&up - Acetone Nail Polish Remover Third, I began to scrape off the hard gel using the cuticle pusher -> then I used the sapphire nail shaper to shape my nailsBeauty 360° - Perfect Manicure Kit I then went back and used the nail file to smooth the base of my nails. After that, I soaked my nails in warm water with Dr Teal's - Pink Himalayan Mineral Soak Next, I used a cuticle nipper plier to cut my cuticles before I prepped for the nail polish. Here is the polish I used: •Base coat - Sally Hansen - Hard as Nails Vitamin Strength Serum •Main color - essie - Enamel Nail Polish •Tips - L.A. Girl - Gel Extreme Shine in colors Bazinga (blue), Flex (green), Good Vibes Only (peach), Giggles (bubbly pink), Pinky Swear (darker pink) Top Coat - Sally Hansen - Dries Instantly Top Coat I hope this helps some of you find your own creativity in your at-home nails!💅🏾

Dry Cuticle Fix!
Hey guys! If you saw my last post you saw I recently got my nails done from a neighborhood salon! You might have also noticed my horrible cuticles as well. It’s something that I have always had! And I mean always! One time I was getting my nails done and the nail tech was cutting my cuticles and he said “hmm strong”. Loll My dry and sometime rough cuticles come from I guess genetics and my job. I work as a server and am constantly using and washing my hands. With this said, I usually do have dry, flaking cuticles even after getting my nails done. I know that during most nail enhancement application processes(I received acrylics) they remove your cuticle but I honestly don’t know if that helps or hurts in regards to my dryness because I haven’t gotten my nails done consistently enough to tell. Either way, I knew that rubbing oil and/or hand moisturizer into nail cuticles was a great way to keep your hands moisturizer and soft while also helping out your cuticles. I purchased a small bottle apricot kernel oil from a beauty supply up the street. Only $6.99 too! I plan on running this oil into my cuticles on a consistent basis to help with the dryness. I know apricot kernel oil is a super light oil but still contains moisturizing properties such as Vitamin A, E and plenty of omegas. All of these are essential to encouraging healthy skin production. Whenever my cuticles are excessively dry they look horrible and make my nails look bad too. I’m hoping that with consistent use my cuticles will become soft beautiful!
Nail Care Hacks EVERYONE Should Know
This quarantine is too long. When was the last time you got your manicure? It’s actually very easy to do it at home by yourself and it safes a lot of $$$. Here is my at home STEP BY STEP Manicure Prep. The perfect nails are always based on the perfect nail foundation. All the tools are accessible at drugstore or even dollar stores. You want to start with a clean nail first. Once the nails are completely clean. You can roughly cut or buff the edges. The next step is to push the cuticles back and trim them. I like to use this metal tool. And a cuticle trimmer. REVLON - Expert Nail Groomer REVLON - Gold Series Titanium Toenail Nipper *TIP* One thing to notice here is that you want to make sure that your nails are damp. So either soak them in warm water like what they did in the salon. And apply a layer of softener. picture polish - Cuticle Wipe Out Or you can also do it when you get out of the shower when you cuticles are nice and soft. That’s the easiest time to trim your cuticles. I normally use this push to gently push back my cuticles you may not be able to get a clean nail right away but we will buff leftover off later so no worries at this point. This process should not hurt at all. If you find this process painful, you are either pushing your cuticles too far they are not soft enough. Then you can use your trim to cut off those pieces. Next you’ll need a nail file. Im using a medium 100/180 grit. ORLY - Black Board Medium 180 Grit Based on your preferences on nail shapes ( square or round) to smooth up the edges by filing back and forth. I personally like square but rounded on the edges. When you are working on the side, make sure they are evenly filed and symmetric. Try to avoid sharp edges. And stop when you are happy with the shape and length. Next tool I will be using is a Buffing Block with 3 different grid sides. I would buff off the sharp edges and buff on the top to smooth it out. This step also helps the paint stay longer. Finish up by brushing off the dust.

The Importance of Finding Your Skin ConfidenceCherie creator @Chardeny shares how she found confidence through her skincare journey.Feb. 4
My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
