RICE WATER - MAGIC HAIR GROWTH REMEDY? PT. 1
I'm not normally one for at-home remedies but I'm so curious about this one - I've been meaning to try it for a while and I'll pretty much do anything to make my hair grow fast at this point. I'm talkin' about rice water! You've probably heard of the Yao women of China and their unbelievably long, healthy hair that has very very few grays for their age - I mean, just look at the photo. They attribute this to using rice water on their hair and scalps for their entire lives (or so the story goes). My hair is already straight and pretty average - not super dry right now or flat, it's just normal. My pressing concern is helping it grow fast after a bad haircut! Rice water is supposed to be full of amino acids and minerals and a bunch of good things that are good for your hair, which is what makes it grow. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of studies to back it up, but at least this isn't something that costs a lot of money to try! However, I do see a lot of claims about how rice water has a lot of protein and that's how it helps hair... That doesn't make sense to me as rice isn't really a protein-rich food and the protein rinsed off of the rice grains would be negligible, but maybe there's something I don't know. I've used an old skincare bottle and filled it up with rice water. After rinsing your rice the first time, keep the second rinse to use as rice water for your hair. Then you can cook the rice to eat later #ricefam I've heard a few variants of letting the rice water ferment first - I haven't done that with my rice water, once I put it in the bottle I put it straight in the fridge so that it would stay fresh until I wash my hair. The method I'm going to do is a rice water rinse after washing my hair in the shower, getting it all over the scalp and strands before rinsing out! I’ll keep this up for a month and see how fast (or not) it helps my hair grow - I’ll rinse my hair with rice water every time I wash my hair, I eat enough rice to have enough rice water for months! Follow me to get updates for part 2 😉

How to grow my hair and keep it healthy?
A lot of people ask me what I do to grow my hair and keep it healthy and the answer is little to nothing. Keep reading... • • • 💃🏽 In the past year, I’ve put ZERO heat on my hair. So no straightening or stretching from the blow dryer of any kind • • 💃🏽 I wear my hair down as long as I can before it starts to look too crazy so I minimize the amount I’m pulling and manipulating my hair • • • 💃🏽 I also make sure there’s as little to no product buildup on my scalp to keep good scalp health. • • 💃🏽 So in the end, I’m actually doing a lot by doing very little to nothing of the things that hurt new growth 👌🏽
Coconut oil to hair 🥰
Coconut oil has people who love it and who hates it! I particularly love the result it does on my hair! Shine, softness and excellent hydration, but because my hair is oily I have to use it in a more thoughtful way, most people use it before bed to wash it the next day I prefer to apply it two hours before washing it, so it doesn't leave an aspect oily and heavy! I like more than a lot of expensive cream out there 🥰

Hair Oil: No Sticky Residue
This is one of my favorite hair oils. What I love: it smells luxurious and that scent will stay on your hair. It doesn’t leave my hair greasy but instead soft and shiny. The oil itself is nice and thick but doesn’t feel that way once you put it in your hair. Can’t recommend it enough. It was sold out for a bit so I would get my hands on it ASAP gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil

Beach Waves Inside a Bottle 💚
Hello! It’s me again the girl trying out different hair products and letting you know what I think about them! If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I have a pretty sensitive scalp and can’t just use any type of shampoo! But today I’m going to tell you my secret on how I used this amika: - Sexture Beach Look Shampoo without ruining my now healthy scalp ☺️. For background information I have long fine natural wavy hair. Sometimes my hair waves super nice and they look like I made using a curling wand and other items they are limp and dull! And now the moment of truth - my secret has been to use this shampoo ONLY on my hair from the shoulders to the end! I don’t actually use this shampoo on my scalp because I don’t want to risk damaging my scalp all over again. For me it works best to use my normal Head and Shoulders shampoo on my scalp and this Sexture shampoo on the length of my hair! As you can see from my pictures, ever since I started using it in this method my waves look STUNNING! They look amazing every time I shower and let dry naturally (I don’t ever use a blow dryer). The shampoo has a very liquid texture which makes it easy to go over board if you’re not mindful of how hard you squeeze the bottle. It also has a faint floral scent that I appreciate because it’s not too potent. The shampoo retails for $25.00 (6.7 oz) at Sephora. I received this product from a giveaway prize and even though it’s such a cool shampoo I’m not sure I would drop that much money on a shampoo. If it were to go on sale for $18-$20, I would definitely consider buying it for this price! I started using this shampoo at the end of July and I’m between 1/3 & 1/4 done with the bottle so I think it will last me for another two months! The shampoo is also meant to combat frizz but I have not been able to put it to the test since I’ve been staying indoors for the most part. Although, I would be curious to see how this shampoo works against the east coast summer humidity! Overall, I love my experience with the shampoo and how my hair looks post shower! However I do wish it was more on the affordable end. 👀 Let me know your thoughts if you have used this item before or are interested! 😊 #CheriePartner
