We are making progress, folks
Just hopping on to say that the addition of a couple of new products into my routine has been a real game-changer! 1. I have been consistently using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Deep clean clogged pores
Niacinamide in skincare
Exfoliate your skin
Clogged pores treatments
Morning and night routine - suggestions?
Here is my AM and PM routine. My issues are mostly large pores and blackheads. I feel like my morning routine is missing something. We are trying for baby #2 soon so Retinoids and salicylic acids are out. Morning: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial CleanserI actually just started using this cleanser. Before this I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser which I really liked, but the CeraVe had been recommended by so many I thought I would try it. pixi - Rose Tonic I like this toner. Not sure it is doing a whole lot for me. Thinking about trying fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Tonernext. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I really want to love this product and I am hoping with continued use I will see more results. I’m thinking of using this once a day instead of twice a day and maybe replacing it with something else. Maybe a vitamin C? CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream this has been working great on my dark puffy eyes. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I’ve been using this for a few weeks. It is okay. I don’t love the way it feels on my skin and will likely go back to Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer which I feel like was better for my skin. Sunscreens: I use CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 on days when I am just at home. Unfortunately it does contain Salicylate which have been shown in animal studies to cause birth defects. So I will be discontinuing. MAYBELLINE - Dream Fresh BB Cream 8-In-1 Skin Perfector SPF 30 I use this during the week as a foundation because I have to wear a mask for a good portion of the day and it provides enough coverage without being too heavy. bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PM routine: Same as above accept I double cleanse with BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Marble Edition 2-3 times a week at night I use The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% I have only been using this for a few weeks, but it is one of the few products you can use for acne during pregnancy. 2x a week I use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution My skin feels great after I use this. I have noticed much of a change yet. But I am hoping I will over time. 1x a week I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution My skin feels amazing after I use this. Unfortunately once we are pregnant I will have to stop using this one. Products I am planning to add: pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Deviceand pmd - Personal Microderm. These are both arriving in my Fall Welcome Causebox and I cannot wait to add them in! I’ll be able to continue to use both of these once we are pregnant and have heard great things about their effects on large pores.
How I Saved My Skin
I never had acne until I graduated high school and it was caused from a chemical burn that I got from some of the products that I have been using for years. After changing my routine several times I finally found some thing that not only keeps my acne away but helps clear any scarring or dark spots that I have as a result of it. I love every single one of these products, they are all affordable and actually work. I have sensitive skin and eczema around my eye and mouth area. My skins never felt better

✨My Favourite Cleanser Of All Time🐐✨
I absolutely adore this cleanser! I have never tried anything that has left my skin feeling so clean yet nourished at the same time. This cleanser is marketed towards normal to oily skin types but from my own personal experience (slightly more dry/combo), this cleanser is not too drying for my skin. It deeply cleanses my sensitive skin without making it feel tight and stripped of moisture. This is just my own experience though so keep that in mind. Everyone’s skin is different and no one knows your skin better than yourself! This cleanser is fragrance free and non-comedogenic. The formula of this cleanser is extremely skin-friendly, containing ceramides, several humectants, niacinamide, and gentle surfactants. Ceramides — lipids that are present within the skin barrier Humectants — draws in moisture to the skin; glycerin, hyaluronic acid, propelyne glycol Niacinamide — reduce appearance of large pores, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, dullness, strengthens skin barrier, can aid in repairing UV damage and reduce damage from environmental pollutants Surfactants — Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine (EWG score 1), Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate (EWG score between 1-3), Sodium Methyl Cocyl Taurate (EWG score 1), Sodium Lauryl Lactylate (EWG score 1), PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides (EWG score 3) This cleanser retails for 14.92 USD on Amazon or around 19.50 CAD for 16 oz/473 mL. I highly recommend you try this cleanser, especially if you have oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin
Now exiting my skin care routine
I saw this product get really hyped up, so I said “ok, $7 ain’t bad so let’s try it out” I don’t think my skin got better or worse to be honest. But for the last 2 weeks I broke out baaaaaaad. The product didn’t help. What did help was the CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin (it’s gooooood) Some things I didn’t like: I didn’t like how the serum feels so sticky. didn’t do any brightening to my skin. For brightening try MARIO BADESCU - Vitamin C Serum (it actually works) didn’t help with my breakouts RUNS OUT TOO FAST. I would only use 1 pump, and it’s run out quicker than any other product I’ve used before. Every skin is different. The product is less than $10 dollars so it’s affordable.

My Tips on Treating Wrinkles at Home
Hey Beauty’s 🙋🏽♀️ Hope you had a wonderful evening 😁 since joining Cherie 🍒I’ve added a number of active ingredients to my skin care routine to assist with reducing my fine lines and wrinkles like, TruSkin - Vitamin C Serum a natural serum that’s made for sensitive skin. I have combo skin that’s on the oily side andThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Still trialling this but my initial thoughts after 8 weeks is it’s helped my hyperpigmentation. 😁 I also used the DMH ASTHETICS - LED Light Shield Mask and had great results after 21 days! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 But I also wanted to share a few things I do: 🧚♀️ Aloe Vera, a gel from a succulent plant 🪴 its widely known for its healing properties. People have used it for thousands of years for healing and softening skin. Research shows taking a daily gel Aloe supplement can significantly reduce wrinkles in 90 days. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I’ve included #Natures Bounty - Aloe Vera Gel 5000mg Equivalent 100 Rapid Release Gels[products]#[FourStars] in my diet and here’s to the next 83 days. 😁 🧚♀️ Banana Mask, I’m a fan of natural banana masks and did a review on Dr Oz’s 3 Ingredient Natural Botox Mask. 1 teaspoon of honey 🍯 1/2 Banana 🍌 1/4 cup yoghurt It's known to work because the lactic acid found in the yogurt gently exfoliates, smooths and calms skin. The results are instant. The honey moisturises your face and gives you lift and glow. Rubbing banana peel on your face is known for wrinkles so as a face mask ingredient it provides the same results! 🧚♀️ Collagen Building ingredients, Health line says, early research shows that taking supplements may boost collagen levels in your skin, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin elasticity and hydration 💦 I take #Nature’s Way - Beauty Collagen Gummies[products]#[FiveStars] they contain type 1 & 3 collagen. Collagen production begins to decline in your 20’s around 1% less per year. As a mature lady who’s over 40 I need all the help I can get. 😉 🧚♀️ Super foods, I like smoothies and have a banana 🍌 strawberry 🍓 and blueberry smoothie with Greek yoghurt three times a week. I alternate between with an Arbonne Greens Balance, its spectrum of proprietary color blends of whole fruit and vegetable powders delivers antioxidants, phytonutrients and fiber for a more balanced, healthier diet. My next journey will be in facial massage I use a Deciniee - JADE ROLLER which has worked wonders for my circulation but I hear facial yoga 🧘♀️ works wonders too. Do you do facial yoga? Would love to hear from you, just leave me a comment. 😁 Hope you enjoyed my journey on reducing wrinkles 😉 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 if you did! Thanks Jade 😊
Are these products good ? NEED ADVICE
Hello everyone , So I recently purchased these two items : The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ... just because I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on them. But, I also just wanted to try it for myself. I have two questions though. One... on what order of my skincare routine should I use them. Two... are they really that good? If you’ve tried these please help me out !!! Thanks a lot ! Have a blessed day🙏🏼❤️
Clay Mask for Sensitive Skin
L’Oreal makes multiple clay masks depending on your skin type. This one is for sensitive skin. While I don’t have sensitive skin I was drawn to the fact that it was bright blue and contains seaweed extract (which helps sooth, soften, and reduces sensitivity and irritation). This mask retails for $15 CAD. I love the colour of this mask. While it isn’t the most hydrating of Clay masks, I do find it leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft after. This mask is easy to apply and you only need to use a small amount all over your face. It dries quickly as well. I’ve read online that some people have had issues with the blue staining clothes or cloths so just be mindful of that if you use this :) Overall I think this is a good product as it’s affordable and will last for sooooo long! L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Purity Mask
Detoxifying + Conditioning Nighttime Routine
After I’ve worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital I sometimes feel like I want to treat my skin. Whether it’s because of lack of sleep, stress, or wearing a mask for so long, my skin can feel less than optimal; like I want to give it a deeper clean. Last night I decided to treat myself with a face mask. Step 1: Not shown in the photo but I removed my makeup with my Marcelle micellar water Step 2: I cleansed my face with FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser I love the smell of this and how gentle it is on my skin. When I use this I can really tell it gets all the grime off my skin. Step 3: I chose to use the THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum around my nose and pores just to add a little extra help to the next step (clay mask) to get rid of those impurities. I waited maybe 10 minutes after applying this go ahead with the clay mask :) Step 4: I applied the L'ORÉAL - Pure Clay Purity Mask This specific face mask is for sensitive skin but I love the blue colour and that it contains seaweed extract, which helps soothe and soften your skin. At the moment my skin type is normal but that doesn’t mean I can’t use a product designed for sensitive skin 😜. I applied a thin layer, avoiding my under eye area, and left on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water. Step 5: I cleansed my face again with the FARMACY - Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser I figure if the clay mask is meant to pull out impurities, etc. then it’s important to wash those off your skin :) Step 6: My go-to, my old faithful: The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I apply this every skincare routine I have. It’s important to rehydrate your skin after a clay face mask as some can pull out moisture. I love TO’s hyaluronic acid. I dampened my skin and applied this serum to lock that moisture in. Step 7: While I didn’t apply the face mask under my eyes, I still wanted to moisturize that area. I know eye creams can be controversial in the sense that you don’t really need them, but I absolutely love this one by Biossance BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I can honestly tell it smoothes out my tired under-eyes and I find it really moisturizing thanks to the squalane. Step 8: In this last step I applied both products around the same time and gentle massaged them into my skin. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I’m so in love with this product. It’s such a hydrating oil and it leaves my skin feeling unbelievably soft. I also wanted to use the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask because, while it’s technically a sleep mask, I find is sooo hydrating — and with clay masks as I said above, they can be drying and I like to rehydrate my skin. These two get the job done 💚
My skin care routine for acne prone / oily skin
MORNING ROUTINE ☀️ PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin NIGHT ROUTINE 🌙 PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane BURT’S BEES - Lip Balm with Vitamin E & Peppermint WEEKLY MASK The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque I have been using PCA skin - BPO 5% Cleanser for over a year and have been absolutely loving it for keeping my skin clear. I recently added The Ordinary’s products into my routine as well as a daily spf and my skin has truly never looked better. If you suffer from acne, dark spots and dull skin- I highly suggest this routine ❤️ ** Also, when using Vitamin C (such as The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% ) I chose to moisturize with the Squalane because any water in products will neutralize the Vitamin C and stop it from working on your skin, so always make sure to use a moisturizer/ oil / serum with no form of water on the ingredient list while using a vitamin C product! :)
The Ordinary-100% Plant-Derived Squalane
My full current routine
My skin is very acne prone skin and has been as long as I can remember, yet I’ve never been able to find anything that really works, you know? Thus, I’ve decided to put my current routine out there in the hopes that someone, anyone might be able to offer some advice or tips to help. Morning: wash with the 3.5%Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Cream Cleanser(I’ve searched for a 10% formula but I guess it’s not carried in Canada) tone withpixi - Glow Tonicwith 5% glycolic. Sometimes I also use THAYERS - Lavender Facial Tonerbut not as often anymore mix 3 drops of lavido - Invigorating Facial Serumwith 3 drops of íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serumand a pump of vitamin C serum from a local brand called Truly Lifestyle Brand. I’m not sure it’s the best to mix my serums like that but hey. Also the vitamin C serum is a 17% concentration. moisturize with Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30. I actually do feel as if this has helped my acne but I could just be imagining it; I used to believe that my old moisturizer broke me out before I switched to this one. Sometimes I feel dry since it’s oil absorbing I guess but it’s not frequent. lastly isOLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème; I don’t suffer from dark under eyes but I still like this one. Evening: wash with same neutrogena face wash tone with pixi toner I used to use the proactiv md 3 step routine and although I don’t use the cleanser and rarely use the sunscreen-moisturizer, I recently started using the proactiv - Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatmentagain use the same serums minus the vit c serum moisturize with the CAUDALIE - Vineactiv 3 in 1 Vitamin C Anti-Wrinkle Moisturizer. I’m not concerned about anti-aging, I was recommended this for helping with the skin barrier. Sometimes for nighttime I also mix this moisturizer with the LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Maskor SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask spot treat overnight with CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel Weekly: one or twice a week, surprise surprise, I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution for my pores and to fade my dark spots. usually once a week, sometimes twice I use the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Claywith acv a bit less frequently I use the alya skin. - Skin Pink Clay Mask, this one I feel is less effective than the Aztec clay mask but I still like it It might also be worth mentioning that I also have been taking 30mg of zinc which I heard helps with acne, and in the mornings I drink a mixture of acv, lemon juice, turmeric, and cayenne in hot water. I also used to juice celery but I don’t have a juicer right now so haven’t been doing that recently. I feel like that’s enough information but I love getting advice about skincare and talking about it so I’d be happy to give more info if anyone would like it😊😊

Updated Oily skin care routine!!!🌞🌞
*TUTORIAL ON MY INSTA (user in bio)** I have changed my routine due to many reasons But the main reason is I thought I had oily skin. Turns out I do but my skin type is actually more normal then oily. I went and got a facial recently and my lady had asked me about all the products I was using... when I told her I was shocked to know that everything I was doing was all wrong for my skin! I was in fact actually drying out my skin and doing everything in the wrong order. Aswell as putting way too many acids and chemicals on my skin at once that there was no way for it to react naturally to that. To start off I wash my face with the sa smoothing cleanser from cerave every other night, and I switch off with the cervave hydrating cleanser/ or foaming cleanser. I will switch off with those two based on whether I’m feeling more greasy that night or not. I also use the 60 second rule. I will wash my face and gently scrub in small circles for 60 seconds then rinse with colder water which is better for your pores. Once my face is washed I go in with the niacinamide and hyaluronic acid from the ordinary. I mix them together in my palm and gently pat them into my skin These two serums are really good and have helped my skin a lot within the past 2 weeks! Also a psa, when putting on these serums you will have better results if you keep your face damp. The hyaluronic acid is a water based product that pretty much needs water to help lock it into your face. After that I go in with a vibrating face roller to de puff and really sink all that product into my pores . FINISHING TOUCH FLAWLESS - Flawless Contour I got this one for a very low price and it’s always cold and feels amazing on my face. After I use it I check to see the before and after of my de-puffing process . For my last two steps I use the dermalogica retinol clearing oil, this product is my new holy grail bc every night I put it on I wake up feeling clean and have results of much lighter acne scars or dark spots. I also use the cerave skin renewing night cream inehich contains healing ceramides and acids that leave you waking up smooth and hydrated!!
CeraVe-Eye Repair Cream
Night time routine 🌙 For acne & early aging
EVE LOM - EVE LOM Cleanser LOVE this cleansing balm in my routine - takes off every sign of makeup on my face and leaves my skin silky soft REN CLEAN SKINCARE - ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser Started this cleanser when I started getting blackheads on my cheeks but my skin was over stripped from using harsh acne products on it. This is my holy grail cleanser! My skin never feels tight after using it and I have noticed a significant different in the clarity of my skin. Kate Somerville - Clarifying Treatment Toner I switch between this and the ordinary glycol acid toner. I notice the difference in strength between the two. Glycol is definitely stronger and I normally can’t use it every night so I switch to this clarifying toner that is made of lactic acid a lighter AHA. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I LOVE the ordinary serums!! This one is probably my favourite. It keeps my skin smooth and clear. I use it AM and PM. THE inkey LIST - Collagen Booster Firming Peptide Serum I bought this serum recently at shoppers and so far I haven’t noticed a difference in my skin at all. I also dislike the bottle, I prefer the ordinary droppers. REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Clearcalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream I purchase this with the matching cleanser and so far I am pretty impressed. It has a derivative of salicylic acid (BHA) in it to help with clearing out your pores, especially blackheads. It keeps my skin moisturized also! THE inkey LIST - Retinol Eye Cream Love the idea of a retinol eye cream! So far haven’t noticed a difference in my underage area but I haven’t used it for very long. The price is only $12 so it’s worth checking out
Kate Somerville-Clarifying Treatment Toner
Ok so i need help making a skin care routine here’s the tea sorry it’s so long to read. I used to only wash my face with a spectro gel cleanser and use a cetaphil moisturizer every day and call it a day and my skin is starting to get bad again. I used to have really bad skin and tons of acne but it cleared up with birth control and age i guess. I still have some pretty big pores and dark spots and dark under eyes and i recently ordered a whole cetaphil skin care routine. It seems to be making my skin worse making little bumps on my forehead. I’m using the cetaphil foaming face wash, cetaphil daily scrub, followed by elf super toner, then cetaphil night cream in the pm and the cetaphil daily moisturizer with 15 spf and cetaphil eye cream. I also ordered the ordinary serums, i ordered the niacinamide 10% +1% zinc and the alpha arbutin 2% + HA which haven’t arrived yet. Please help me build a good skincare routine, i don’t mind spending money on better products but i don’t want to buy things that don’t work. My skin is combination. Any suggestions on products that would work, and what cetaphil product is giving me bumps on my forehead? all the products except the spf i can’t find: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HACetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-CreamCetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming CleanserCetaphil - Cetaphil Facial Night CreamCetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrube.l.f. - Supertone Toner

Review my routine!
Hi everyone! Still fairly new to skincare so my routine definitely still has room for improvement. I have combo skin where I can get a bit oily in the T-zone but dry around my nose, mouth, and eyes. So far this routine is working pretty well for me but I don’t feel like I am getting enough moisture. Also if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! CleanserOLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser okay I love this cleanser! It’s so gentle and I don’t feel like it strips my skin. Exfoliating cleanser THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Microdermabrasion I use this once or twice a week and it’s okay. I prefer the philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash but it’s not cruelty free and it’s fairly expensive. SerumThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is AMAZING it helped clear up my skin in about a week. Eye creams:THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream I don’t really see results from this one. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I got this as a sample and I feel like it’s nice and moisturizing under my eyes, I don’t see dramatic results though. Moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic I recently started using this and I can definitely see an improvement, my only complaint is it doesn’t smell great. Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Day Cream While I don’t use this anymore I do still love it and use it for if I go overkill irritating my skin. Acne alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch These work well and are so affordable! Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment One of the few spot treatments that actually works on me.
