Empties: Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum
This was the last product I emptied in 2019 and I've gotta say I was pretty devastated to run out of this serum. I tried to baby it as much as I could but it had to reach an end 😭💔 🔆MY SKIN, PRODUCT FUNCTION & TEXTURE🔆 So this serum came into my life at the PERFECT time. I was using the DE Lala Retrowhip and it WRECKED my skin 😠. My skin was broken out all over in painful zits, it was insanely greasy and my pores were HUGE. My skin is usually somewhere between being pretty normal to slightly dry but never oily. I was able to clear up the breakouts after eliminating the Retrowhip from my skincare routine but I was left with red marks all over my face from the acne, large pores, really sensitive skin and some crazy oil production 😭! I knew niacinamide is supposed to help with skin brightening and pore size so I searched online for some niacinamide products and came across this serum. This water-based serum has a smooth, slippery texture that absorbed into my skin really well and didn't leave a film or any kind of tacky finish on my skin. It works super well under makeup too 😍! 💭 FINAL THOUGHTS 💭 I absolutely LOVE this serum and I can't wait to repurchase another bottle this year 💛💛! I noticed a HUGE difference in my skin within just one week of using it. I noticed my pores going back to their regular size and my oil production was finally getting back to normal. Within a month my skin looked like nothing ever happened ✨. No trace of scarring, no greasy skin, no giant pores and I owe it all to this bad boy 🙏🏽. At only $6 an ounce it's worth a shot! I'd recommend this serum to anybody! 💛💛💛 GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum

MYTH BUSTED! MIX THESE INGREDIENTS OR NOT?
You know what zodiac sign you’re compatible with, but do you know what skincare ingredients in your routine are compatible? Vitamin c + Niacinamide To mix or to not? Hmm YES! Layer these bad boys up in your routine. (Obviously don’t go overboard, but yes apply these both) The beloved and most sought out for serums have an iffy relationship. You can mix these ingredients together, but there is some things out there that state you shouldn’t or that you should do so in caution. Here’s why! Let’s break it down and get to the point. * Vitamin C protects the skin from free radicals and works towards brightening dark spots, scars, and the overall skin tone. This is best used in the morning to protect from free radicals as we go through our day. ALWAYS wear SPF with Vitamin C! Vitamin C will increase sun sensitivity, so please further your protection with SPF. * Niacinamide is an anti-inflammatory that brightens and promotes a more even skin tone, improves skin elasticity and texture! It’s a Holly Grail tbh. On top of all of that it’s also great to fight free radicals damage and pollution. Using Vitamin C + Niacinamide together? Niacinamide is “said” to cancel out all of the good properties of Vitamin C! BUT there are plenty of studies that show there is NO HARM in using these together. These two serums together can be a powerhouse combo We love these ingredients and need to use them in our skin care! You still can! How to use vitamin c and Niacinamide in your routine: use one ingredient in the AM and one in the PM. Try applying Vitamin C in the am (with spf!) and Niacinamide at night. This way you’ll still get both ingredient’s FULL benefits, but without irritation for reactive or sensitive skin. space them out. You need to let each serum absorb into your skin and allow some time in between applying them and they should not be layered right on top of each other. * this is only if you really feel the need to apply both of them* The results: using these can help uneven skin tone, skin elasticity, texture, and dullness of the skin. So if you plan on using these ingredients together, check out my two favorite below and featured in my photo. Fourth Ray - Raydiate Vitamin C Elixir This version of vitamin c is a mix of a serum and a face oil, so you’ll have to shake it up to mix the two together. + this is light in consistency and absorbs nicely into the skin. + not tacky or sticky. + smells great + ACTUALLY WORKS. My favorite one yet! + lasts longer than most vitamin C serums (shelf life) + $16 GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum This GM serum is among the best and very affordable. + light weight and absorbs well into the skin + has a sticky texture, but is gone after it absorbs into the skin. + smooths our texture and brightens skin. + 10% Niacinamide + layers well with other serums and skincare. + $6
HOW TO: wake up looking like a glazed donut ✨
GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment Contains 10% (Glycolic Acid) AHA+ BHA. This is the second product I’m testing from Good Molecules and I’m loving it already. This is my first experience with a leave-on “sleep mask” version of glycolic acid (the smallest form of AHA). And seriously people, I WOKE UP GLOWING IN A GOOD WAY. I wanted to chuck all my glossier products out the window and triumphantly announce that I solved the glowy but not oily skin look that no makeup has ever done for me. I have a few layering tweaks I wanted to share for those looking to add this step into your routine! TLDR; pore-shrunken glazed 🍩 look for $6. scroll down for layering steps. 😅 Conceptually, incorporating a GA solution into my night routine 2-3x per week is the best way to use GA without drastically changing my current ritual. While glycolic acid toners work have worked great as well, I notice my skin is way more sensitized throughout the day and susceptible to sun damage. I just don’t want to run the risk of forgetting to reapply sunscreen ☀️ every few hours, you know? Especially if you have dry/combo skin, the following layering technique may be of use to you. Starting with dry or freshly cleansed skin I add: (1) Any hydrating toner. I used the niacinamide toner from Good Molecules but if you have sensitive skin I’d opt for one without vitamin C or other actives. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner I'm from - Rice Toner dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner (2) Any mild peptide serum or essence. But no crazy actives like retinol or the true form of vitamin C ascorbic acid (I used one with the SAP derivative which was ok). If you normally add oils to this step, I would skip until the end. An oil ester like jojoba oil may be okay. Bottom line is to use something your skin finds familiar but comforting. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum (3) THE Glycolic Acid/AHA-containing treatment. Feels like thick serum. I used one droppers’ worth, going heavier on my t-zone. This one from Good Molecules contains Glycerin, HA, and Butylene Glycol, gold standard humectants that need more moisture to lock in its hydrating benefits!! Especially if you just used another hylauronic acid-containing serum in the previous step, the treatment as a final step can leave you feeling dry. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment (4) Wait 3-5 min to add a gel moisturizer or hydrating spray-on mist. Feed those humectants! Really anything works here. I used MUJI’s all-in-one essence. I just wouldn’t go too creamy or heavy. VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream dear, klairs - Fundamental Ampule Mist The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Lmk if you try this! Cheers to looking like a glazed donut 🥂

🤭PORE MINIMIZING PRODUCTS🤭
🍋THE PRODUCT🍋 The SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear Skin Days by Brightening Peel Pads function as an exfoliating treatment to use after cleansing. They are marketed as wipes to use in the PM The target concerns of these pads include minimizing pores, helping oiliness, and improving skin texture/evenness. The salicylic acid in them helps to minimize pores by getting into them and cleansing the excess oil, which results in tighter looking pores. The glycolic acid helps to resurface the skin to improve skin tone and texture. They also have niacinamide which is another great ingredient to help minimize pores and decrease sebum/oiliness. This product is designed as single-use pads, and I pulled one out so that you can see the slight texture on the pad. They’re slightly damp, and hold the perfect amount of product to swipe across your whole face. 🧐MY HONEST OPINION🧐 I decided to try out these pads because the ingredients seemed very good, and I have had them for about 3 months, but haven’t been reaching for them very often. I feel pretty neutral about these…I think they may work if you have very sensitive skin, but I did not really see any results from them. I don’t dislike them though because they do feel clarifying and didn’t adversely affect my skin. I honestly would recommend these to others, even though they weren’t the best for me. The main reason is because of the low price point. They cost $12 and you get 30 pads, so that basically a month’s supply if you use one pad a night! These are very easy to use, and it only takes 10 seconds to wipe your whole face. I would recommend these to teenagers struggling with acne because they are affordable, accessible, and have some great ingredients. Overall, I give these a 3/5 ⭐️ rating. I think they would be a great entry-point into chemical exfoliation to help minimize the appearance of pores. They’re affordable and easy to use, but just weren’t great for my own skin!

Blackhead Removing Treatments
Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum This product is marketed as a serum that promotes smooth, even skin and minimizes the appearance of pores. It is used to help improve the look of enlarged pores, texture, and dullness. It can also be used to help strengthen the skin’s barrier function and reduce moisture loss for a healthy, hydrated complexion. It helps target hyperpigmentation, textured skin, blackheads, and pores. The texture of this serum is quite unique as it is more on the thicker side. I have been using this product for a few weeks and I love it! It has definitely helped with my texture and has also helped make my skin appear brighter and smoother. It is hydrating and hasn’t made me break out! For only $6 on beautylish.com, this product is worth it! This serum is super effective and easy to use! I would definitely recommend this product to others!

Minimize pores with Cos Rx!
COSRX - Two in One Poreless Power Liquid What is this product? This is marketed as a lightweight treatment to clear skin as well as tighten pores. Willow bark water and betaine salicylate help clear pores by dissolving dead skin and oil, while tannin helps tighten pores and refine texture. What are the products target concerns? It’s made to tighten pores and clear up acne while helping to prevent future breakouts. This is a super lightweight fluid treatment serum. It spreads very easily and you only need 1-2 pumps depending on where you want to apply. It also dries very quickly and other products layer well on top of it. What do I think? I’ve had this product for about 6 months and use it almost every day. I initially picked this up because I was struggling with whiteheads and wanted to explore more k-beauty products. I love this product, and the few times my skin has had to go without it my skin was very unhappy. Since I began using this, I hardly ever break out any more. I still get some hormonal breakouts but nothing bad. I apply this to my t-zone and jawline almost every morning, I do like to take a break from it once or twice a week when I’m doing a simplified routine. When I use this, my skin is tighter, less oily, my pores look smaller, and my skin stays clear. And the best part is that you can get it online from Ulta for only $22 and the bottle lasts months and months. I will continue to buy it when I run out. Do I recommend this product? Of course! Though I don’t have dry skin, (Im oily/combo) so I’m not sure how this would work for you dry folks out there. I always recommend you patch test first! This is one of the best products in my collection and I hope you give it a try!
