MY DAILY ROUTINE! ok I've tried a million products and this is what is in my current line up. I have dry skin so the layering of serums and oils is key for me! The coveted “but what order do I do them in?”: This is what I do and what works for me! -Cleanse -tone -serum -moisturizer -eye cream -face oils -makeup primer -makeup Making sure my face is properly primed with skincare is so essential in making my makeup look as good as possible. Having extremely dry skin I always look for a serum that has a high percentage of hyaluronic acid for added intense moisture. I'm really loving the Luzern oxygen creme right now because the creme is hydrating without leaving a heavy film or residue on the skin and the oxygen aspect really helps calm my sensitive skin. The best tinted moisturizer I’ve ever used!
The Beauty Counter Dew Skin tinted moisturizer is the perfect product if you want a nice dewy finish and not a heavy makeup look. It’s so easy to apply, I just use my fingers! And a 1.35 fl oz. size runs about $45. It’s currently on sale on their website by the way! It’s very light coverage but I find it to do a good job of concealing light pigmentation and just make your face look more awake. I apply it right after I cleanse and apply my eye cream and serum. You can just use it as a replacement for your moisturizer during the day. I’ve been using it for about 3 months now and would definitely purchase it again! I’m almost out of my container anyways since I use it daily. It doesn’t have a harsh smell and is very blendable. I use about 2 pumps for the whole face. I find makeup to stay on over it pretty well and it does last almost all day, even in humid conditions. Hope this reviews helps if you’ve been on the market for a good tinted moisturizer! xx #Beauty Counter - Dew Skin[products]#[FiveStars]
favorite no-makeup makeup
I have been loving these products for an every day look. during this weird time, I’ve fluctuated between wanting to wear full glam and not showering for days at a time. not my best look, lol. I’ve decided just a few key products have been monumental in my morale: e.l.f. - Ultra Precise Brow Pencil this is amazing. super thin, sturdy packaging (looking at you brow wiz), and $5!! I’ll repurchase this forever. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer I can’t give this 5 stars. I heard only good things about this, but once I got it? it’s so finnicky! to get the coverage I wanted, I had to apply a lot, and it ended up making me look a little too dewy. additionally, it creases no matter what. I tried using this a million different ways but decided it’s just not my fave. the most effective method for me is just a little bit on my finger, but rubbing it in instead of patting. I can’t ask for too much from this little guy, but it does brighten my under eyes a teeny bit and adds a radiance that’s helps me look more awake! MAYBELLINE - Volum' Express The Colossal Waterproof Mascara interestingly enough, I’m gonna make another reference to glossier for this mascara lol. this does what I wanted their lash slick to do for me. I have extremely straight lashes so their mascara didn’t work for me. dropped + flaked off, but this one maintains my curl all day. it’s natural, almost too natural. I only wear it when I’m going for a super light makeup look.
BEST RETINOL CREAM
I have never used a retinol before and was little scared if it will break me out. But I was so amazed by this drunkelephant Apassioni retinol cream. It claims to diminish the appearance of fines lines, wrinkles, dark spots and younger looking complexion. And the best part is it’s 100% free of essential oils, Silicones and fragrance. However it’s not recommended for use while pregnant or breastfeeding It’s is very lightweight and gentle. I have very sensitive skin and it didn’t break me out at all. It last super long and you will only need a pea size * I have been using this for almost 6 months. I use 3 times a week mixing with my moisturizer, facial oil and hydration serum.. it works amazing 😁 Definitely seeing a difference in my skin texture, overall complexion and brown spots are fading slowly.. Super happy with my purchased and already have my backup ready 😉 I would give this 5/5 ⭐️ It’s retail price is $74 for 1 oz Little pricy but totally worth it but I would recommend buying the 0.33 oz which is $28 comes with mini bhydra (amazing deal) 😁

Ice Facial- my summer selfcare
This is a treatment highlight vs a product highlight! Have you ever tried rubbing an ice cube all over the face in the morning? If not, you NEED to try! It will wake you up better then espresso 😳 Benefits: smaller pores reduced oil production throughout the day reduced puffy-ness (especially around the eyes) reduce inflammation from sensitive skin and acne prep skin for make-up Steps for facial: 1. Take 1 large icecube and rub directly on skin in circular motions, making sure to constantly move the icecube 2. Focus under the eyes to reduce morning puffy-ness 3. Run ice cube until completely melted 4. Pat skin dry and follow with hydrating mist, eye scream, serum, moisturizer, and spf This treatment can be done daily. I ran a weekly challenge on my instagram last week and had great feedback on how their skin looked brighter and smoother just from doing the ice facial every morning. Let me know how you like it!!!
How To: Hyaluronic Acid 💕
Hyaluronic Acid is probably one of the most well known skincare ingredients on the market. We’ve all heard the “it holds 1000x it’s weight in water” claim it holds. It wasn’t until a few months ago that I realized this “fool proof” ingredient was a little more tricky than I thought. To break it down hyaluronic acid is a sugar that holds water to keep the skin plump and hydrated. It’s purpose is to attract, hold, and prevent the evaporation of water in the skin. It’s a great ingredient to treat dehydration and dull skin. Now the reason this product can be tricky is depending on where you live the product reacts differently. You definitely want to use this if you live in a humid climate. It’s going to take water from the environment and naturally draw it into the skin. If you live in a dry climate I would probably stay away from this ingredient as it can have a reverse affect. Instead it can have a tendency to draw the water from your skin instead because there isn’t as much in the environment. You also always want to seal it in with a moisturizer so you don’t experience what is called TEWL (trans epidermal water loss). TEWL is the process in which we lose water across the skin from evaporation. When I use this product I always cleanse, use a toner (if you have one in your routine), and then the hyaluronic acid. Because of the thinner consistency of the product it’s better to layer it in the beginning. My favorite so far is the GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum . For $6 you get 1 oz of product. Unlike other hyaluronic acid serums I’ve used this doesn’t have a sticky feeling. It’s very lightweight and absorbs right into the skin which I feel is optimal for daily use under make up. I do have dehydrated skin despite it being oily and this has helped me combat that and I notice I have less dry patches when I use it.
