Pimples - Good riddance!
Pimples - Good riddance!
A pimple is a part of everyone’s path and in the time I’ve lived, I encountered many a pimple and each time I obsess over it trying to find the most perfect spot treatment. I think just about anyone can relate. Below is my experience and thoughts on some of the things I’ve tried. A remedy for every pimple type! Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment For night time application only. Very drying and funky (contains alcohol, an irritant to skin but works so well I can’t resist.) Most effective on a surfacing pimple (not the screaming kind). Pimple cleared within 1-2 days. Not for cystic acne. HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Invisible+ for Madewell $0.46 per sticker. Surprisingly super sticky and long lasting. As “invisible” as it gets, it blurs acne from afar. You can wear it under make up. Matte enough to wear out in public. Specific for pimples that look prime and ready to pop (note to self: resist the urge to squeeze). YES SISTERS!! This is it! It sucks everything up which gives me a close satisfying feeling to watching Dr. Pimple Popper pop that goody goody for good. alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch $0.19 per sticker. A cheaper alternative to the Mighty Patch. Contains ingredients like tea tree oil and witch hazel to help calm the pimple. Matte finish but not as thin as the Mighty Patch. Not that sticky, some fall off and gets stuck to my pillow at night. The outer edge circumference starts to lose its adhesiveness throughout the day (be brave enough to wear it in public, it helps!). If I wrote YES SISTERS for the Mighty Patch, this is more like a yes sisters. I use the Mighty Patch until most of the gunk is gone (around 1-2 nights) and if the pimple is still there then I switch and use Alba Botanica pimple patch to absorb any remaining fluids. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Acne Patches $0.44 per sticker. Glossy finish. It has different ingredients like salicylic acid and tea tree oil that helps soothe that flaring spot without drying you as it also contains hyaluronic acid. For best results, use on pimples that hasn’t come to a head yet. The adhesive is pretty top notch unless it’s worn in moist conditions. It has helped me prevent so many almost cystic pimples. I would be at a loss without it. If you know any other effective products feel free to share so I can experience the same joys of eliminating pimples with you! 🤩

Contour or bronzer?
Contour or bronzer?
Every beginner in the makeup world has asked at least once, wich one do i use? Are they the same? Considering all the similar products there are within both categories, it is normal to be confused and have difficulty to distinguish them at first.                                                   The difference is in the undertones. Actually, we have to look at whether the product in our hands pulls more grayish or more towards orange or pink. If it is the first, this product will serve to contour because the very purpose of this technique is to create shadows (and the shadows are usually gray). A shadow throwing orange will leave that category to become “light”. Therefore, the bronzer must be warm, it can even have flashes or shimmer particles (which cannot under any circumstances have the contour product). But its very important to know your face shape, so you know where to put your contour and bronzer to get the desired figure. I have a round face. That means that my contour is going to be placed where my ear is to the height of my nose, following my original bone structure. That way, i can give the ilusion of a snatched face.   The contouring technique helps to sculpt the face to our liking. That is, shadow in strategic areas to raise cheekbones, slim the nose and narrow the forehead. Since what we are trying to do is create shadows that do not exist, we have to be logical and think that the color of the shadows is grayish and cold, so this is going to be the undertone of our contouring product. The bronzer is applied to the cheeks, on top of the cheekbone, by the forehead, nose and chin. You will remember much better where to put it when you think where the sun hits directly on your face, because that's where you tan, and where the fake tan should go. On the other hand, the contour goes below the cheekbone with a much finite and more precise brush, which will also serve to narrow the nose on both sides of the septum and to shrink the forehead by putting a little on the edges of the temples.   What you can see in the pictures: In the first one you can see i applied a very warm bronzer. It gives a little volume to my face but does not shape it. In the second one you can see how i apply my contour and in the third one how it looks when blended. Its obvious that the shape of my face is very defined. And the fourth picture you can see both  techniques applied with a day makeup look.   Personally, i use a contour stick by the brand KiKo. I like it because its a very good shade for winter and summer. And the size is very good for the price point.KIKO - Face Contour Stick Sculpting Touch Creamy Stick Contour For bronzer i use the Hoola one, from Benefit cosmetics. It gives me that sunkissed look that i love. And it can be very subtle, but you can build it up for more pigmentation. Hoola has a variety of shades, from a very light one for the pale babes to a dark one for our chocolate goddesses.benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer   Now that you know everything, use this to your advantage and start building that face to the gods!

Makeup For Video Interviews 🖥✨#CheriePartner
Makeup For Video Interviews 🖥✨#CheriePartner
As a May 2020 graduate, I’ve been doing a lot of interviews and phone calls over the quarantine period for jobs and internships. Along the way I picked a few key tips for achieving a flawless, professional makeup look perfect for video calls. All I want is to make the impression that I’m put together and perfect for the role! Of course, everyone has different kinds of makeup looks, and specific parts of makeup that make it “signature” to them (like a strong winged liner, or bold lip, or even a super bare natural face!). But for me, my “signature” looks is something quite fresh-faced, glowy skin, defined eyes and a tinted lip! Tips: 1) Stay true to yourself! If you never wear a red lip, don’t wear a red lip to the interview. If you always have a beautiful eyeshadow look on, definitely put some eyeshadow on! The truth is, when you feel most like yourself, the more confident you will appear to others. 2) Video calls tend to wash you out, so if you’re applying a color product maybe add a little more than usual! Here is what I used: HOURGLASS - Illume Sheer Color Trio in Sunset This is a the perfect product to bronze, blush AND highlight the face! The formula is super creamy and soft, but definitely packs a punch with its pigment. The highlight also gives off a beautiful glow on camera! ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Radiant Concealer I don’t feel the need for a foundation on camera as blemishes are generally not visible depending on video resolution. But I have really bad under eye circles that can make me look tired, so I always want a little concealer just to brighten up my face and eyes. This one is medium coverage with a natural finish on the skin. COLOURPOP - Brow Boss Pencil I always define my brows because they help to frame the face. This is an amazing inexpensive one that has the perfect waxy formula for adding fullness to the brows that looks natural. NUDESTIX - Magnetic Luminous Eyeshadow Defining my eyes is important to me because it’s a feature of my face that I really like. So a little glowy eyeshadow helps to bring attention to my eyes, helps me look a little more awake and defines it a little more. MAYBELLINE - Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara I know it’s near impossible to see individual lashes on video call but it helps a lot with defining my eyes! It also makes me feel more put together too just because I’d feel off if I had a full face of makeup and didn’t have mascara on. lisa eldridge - True Velvet Lipstick in Velvet Muse This is one of my favorite matte lipsticks because it’s super pigmented, non-drying but gives a matte finish. I add a little balm beforehand to keep my lips moisturized and to sheer the color a little. This is definitely a my-lips-but-better kind of shade.

Flawless Makeup Secret Learned From Kylie🔥🔥🔥
Flawless Makeup Secret Learned From Kylie🔥🔥🔥
To have flawless makeup, the key part is the foundation. But finding our holy grail foundation isn’t always easy. There are so many factors that come into play when choosing a base: finish (matte or dewy), coverage (sheer, medium or full), texture (liquid or powder), price point (drugstore or luxe) and more. Keep in mind, these are my personal favorites that I have tried and that work for me. 🔥MY SKIN🔥 SKIN TYPE: Combination ✔️ SKIN TONE: Medium ✔️ SKIN CONCERNS: Pores & Dullness ✔️ Flawless foundation weapon —— ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation ($42). I have to say I’m a big fan of Kardashians and Jenners. I watched their makeup tutorial, their show, their VOGUE videos, their instagram... just for keeping up with them LOL. I have to say that I learned a lot of makeup tricks from these beauties. As title mentioned, this foundation is also Kylie’s favourite. You know in the YouTube upload Kylie of course used predominantly her own-brand products, but when it came to her foundation the mum of Stormi Webster has a firm favourite. 🔥MY HONEST REVIEW🔥 This foundation is incredible, it’s light and more of a watery consistency and it’s more hydrating which I love in any foundation. Can be built up from light to medium and has a lovely finish to it. Felt really nice on the skin and a very "my skin but better" look. 🔥IT WORKS WELL ON ALL SKINS🔥 - For dry skin, it really works and doesn’t flake up or cling to dry patches. - For oily skin, you just take my time to bounce it in and set it and it just looks like gorgeous skin. 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Here are some BASIC RULES for applying foundation flawlessly are pretty much the same for all skin types: ⭐️ ● Clean and moisturize your face. Start with a clean canvas. Consider skin care as your makeup prime. ⭐️ ● Use only the products suitable for your skin type. ⭐️ ● Apply primer and color correct parts of your face before applying the foundation. ⭐️ ● Choose the right foundation color. ⭐️ ● Apply foundation and gently blend it. Always start by applying just a little bit of foundation, then add more until you have the right amount of coverage. The goal is to only apply foundation where you need it, so that your skin still looks like skin. ⭐️ ● Stack concealer only where needed. ⭐️ ● Conceal dark circles, and redness. Contour if you need to. A little contouring goes a long way. ⭐️ ● Stipple, don’t rub. Avoid any wiping or rubbing motions because that will only push the foundation around and cause streaks. ⭐️ ● Don’t forget your ears! Your ears are a part of your face, too. ⭐️ ● Set your makeup with a finishing spray or a translucent setting powder.

Hunting for a Skincare Oil that Does More with Less? Look No Further!
Hunting for a Skincare Oil that Does More with Less? Look No Further!
Like many people, I had hesitation in using oil on my face, afraid of it being too heavy for my skin - especially in summer, when I tend to keep my skincare routine as minimal as possible. However, summer is also the time when I’m the most outdoorsy and hence often in need of remedy for skin damage caused by environmental irritants. I came to know from research that a right face oil can regulate our skin’s oil production, which is the root of many skin issues. And that is how I found HABA - Squalane ll   100% plant derived squalane Squalane is a hydrogenated form of squalene, which is naturally produced by skin cells. It can be found in some plants and shark livers, creating a lipid barrier that protects the skin from dehydration and environmental damage. The antioxidants it contains help to fight against free radicals, boost collagen production and thus slow down the ageing process. Even better news for vegans, HABA Squalane II uses plant derived squalane and is additive-free - you can only find 7 ingredients in it!   Gentle, mild, effective The pureness and naturalness of the oil can actually be felt on the skin. Following the instruction, after using a toner I just dispense and blend one drop of oil on my palms, and then gently pat it into my skin. It’s completely transparent and odourless, lightweight and easy to distribute evenly on skin. It absorbs so quickly and my skin feels instantly smoother and softer. I didn’t notice any sign of pores being clogged - on the contrary, the oil works very well on the slightly sunburnt or acned areas on my face: because of its anti-inflammatory properties, the redness and swelling are reduced significantly just overnight.   HABA Squalane II can also be used as body oil or hair oil because of its powerful moisturising effect, which I will definitely try when I get a bigger size. If you want a minimalist facial oil that can give you more than healthier, vibrant skin, don’t forget to check this one out!

5 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TOPCOAT
5 REASONS WHY YOU NEED TOPCOAT
A good top coat is more than just clear nail polish! Tell me this—do you find your manicure always chips faster than you want it to? (I know, this makes gel manicures really tempting, but hear me out). 1) It makes your manicure last longer Nail polish top coat adds a glossy seal over the polish you’ve just put on, ensuring it doesn’t chip away as easily. 2) It helps your nails dry faster I don’t even consider a top coat these days if quick dry isn’t mentioned anywhere on the label. To put it simply, quick dry top coats work by literally solidifying faster, making bumps and nicks harder to make in the nail polish itself. 3) It can make your manicure look like gel Top coats add a more glossy finish and high shine to perfect nails, giving them the illusion of a thicker layer of polish that looks like gel. 4) It smooths any over application mistakes If you accidentally nick or smudge your nails, here’s no reason to stress—your perfect nails aren’t ruined! This is where the top coat comes in. It’ll smooth over and fill any tiny little nicks and bumps just enough so that they’re not noticeable, saving you from doing over your nails. 5) It makes your at-home nail art look pro It adds that finishing touch and makes everything look 100% better. Which top coat is best? A lot of people think that their nail polish chips because they’re using a cheap brand. The thing is, it doesn’t matter what brand of nail polish you use—if you’re using a good quality top coat and base coat, you can make ANY nail polish last (and look good!) for perfect nails. Here are my favourite top coats! Seche Vite Top Coat Seche - Vite Dry Fast Clear Top Coat Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat is a classic. There’s a good reason it comes so highly recommended—I don’t think I’ve ever had my nails look so much like gel before. However, it thickens very quickly and requires the Seche Restore brand thinner to use it again due to Seche Vite’s unique formula. Essie Good to Go essie - Good to Go Top Coat It dries quickly and super shiny, but doesn’t make nails look as gel-like as other top coats. However, it’s one that I relied on for a long time and I would happily recommend it. Essie Gel Setter Reviewessie - Gel Setter Top Coat It’s definitely similar to Good to Go, but to me has a little more plumping and a gel-like finish for nails. Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat Sally Hansen - Big Shiny Top Coat I really, really liked the Sally Hansen Big Shiny Top Coat. It was Big, Shiny, and quick-drying—and easy to get and cheap. What’s not to love? So, what's the fastest way to dry nails again? Answer: with a top coat—so skip all those Pinterest hacks about putting your hands in iced water. Apply thin coats of nail polish, let it dry a little in between, and seal everything off with a good top coat (and your nails will probably look better and last longer than gel, too!) Here's to good manis and pedis ahead!

Derm Tips for the Ordinary Peeling Solution
Derm Tips for the Ordinary Peeling Solution
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The Ordinary Peeling Solution is one of the best products you can buy for less than $10. When used correctly, there are so many benefits to this product! Here’s my review of the product with safety tips first. Safety Tips: -If you are new to skincare, this product is not for beginners. You want to have a consistent skin care routine for at least a month before adding this in -Patch test an area on your inner arm prior to applying this to the face. I’ve seen many people end up with chemical burns from this product -For first time use, use only for 5 minutes prior to washing off with water -Do not apply this on the same night as other strong actives (retinoids, other acids) -For darker skin types, glycolic acid in this product can lead to hyperpigmentation if used for too long. Do not use longer than 5 minutes if you are prone to hyperpigmentation Benefits: -Exfoliates the skin -Improves skin texture -Improves skin tone -Helps fight acne -Improves acne scars -Makes pores less obvious -Improves fine lines and wrinkles -Fades hyperpigmentation How to apply: 1. See safety tips above 2. Wash face with gentle cleanser 3. Apply to finger tips 4. Apply to dry skin in treatment areas 5. Leave on for 5-10 minutes 6. Wash off with water 7. Pat dry Conclusions: I absolutely love this product and I highly recommend it. However, I’ve seen people injure themselves badly from using this product incorrectly. Follow the safety tips above and you will see so many benefits to your skin. This is a product that I personally love & use in my routine!

Wash & Go Routine For Type 4 Naturals!
The key to a successful wash & go is an amazing product to define your curls! I highly suggest working in sections and thoroughly detangling your hair before adding products to get the best results possible!!
